Numbers 34

1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

HERREN talede fremdeles til Moses og sagde:

2 Commande the children of Israel, and say vnto them, When yee come into the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall vnto your inheritance: that is, the land of Canaan with the coastes thereof.

Byd Israeliterne og sig til dem: Naar i kommer til Kana'ans Land — det er det Land, der skal tilfalde eder som Arvelod, Kana'ans Land i hele dets Udstrækning —

3 And your Southquarter shalbe from the wildernesse of Zin to the borders of Edom: so that your Southquarter shall be from the salt Sea coast Eastwarde:

saa skal eders Sydside strække sig fra Zins Ørken langs med Edom; eders Sydgrænse skal mod Øst begynde ved Enden af Salthavet;

4 And the border shall compasse you from the South to Maaleh-akrabbim, and reach to Zin, and goe out from the South to Kadesh-barnea: thence it shall stretch to Hazar-addar, and go along to Azmon.

saa skal eders Grænse dreje sønden om Akrabbimpasset, naa til Zin og ende sønden for Kadesj-Barnea; saa skal den løbe hen til Hazar-Addar og naa til Azmon;

5 And the border shall compasse from Azmon vnto the riuer of Egypt, and shall goe out to the Sea.

fra Azmon skal Grænsen dreje hen til Ægyptens Bæk og ende ved Havet.

6 And your Westquarter shall bee the great Sea: euen that border shalbe your Westcoast.

Hvad Vestgrænsen angaar, skal det store Hav være eders Grænse; det skal være eders Vestgrænse.

7 And this shall bee your Northquarter: yee shall marke out your border from the great Sea vnto mount Hor.

Eders Nordgrænse skal være følgende: Fra det store Hav skal I udstikke eder en Linie til Bjerget Hor;

8 From mount Hor ye shall point out till it come vnto Hamath, and the end of the coast shall be at Zedad.

fra Bjerget Hor skal I udstikke en Linie til Egnen hen imod Hamat, saa at Grænsen ender ved Zedad;

9 And the coast shall reach out to Ziphron, and goe out at Hazar-enan. this shalbe your Northquarter.

derpaa skal Grænsen gaa til Zifron og ende ved Hazar-Enan. Det skal være eders Nordgrænse.

10 And ye shall marke out your Eastquarter from Hazar-enan to Shepham.

Men til Østgrænse skal I afmærke eder en Linie fra Hazar-Enan til Sjefam;

11 And the coast shall goe downe from Shepham to Riblah, and from the Eastside of Ain: and the same border shall descend and goe out at the side of the sea of Chinneereth Eastward.

og fra Sjefam skal Grænsen gaa ned til Ribla østen for Ajin, og Grænsen skal løbe videre ned, til den støder til Bjergskrænten østen for Kinneretsøen;

12 Also that border shall goe downe to Iorden, and leaue at the salt Sea. this shalbe your land with the coastes thereof round about.

derpaa skal Grænsen løbe ned langs Jordan og ende ved Salthavet. Det skal være eders Land i hele dets Udstrækning til alle Sider.

13 Then Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the lande which yee shall inherite by lot, which the Lord commanded to giue vnto nine tribes and halfe the tribe.

Og Moses bød Israeliterne og sagde: Det er det Land, I skal udskifte mellem eder ved Lodkastning, og som efter HERRENS Bud skal gives de ni Stammer og den halve Stamme.

14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben, according to the housholdes of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad, according to their fathers housholdes, and halfe the tribe of Manasseh, haue receiued their inheritance.

Thi Rubeniternes Stamme efter deres Fædrenehuse og Gaditernes Stamme efter deres Fædrenehuse og Manasses halve Stamme har allerede faaet deres Arvelod.

15 Two tribes and an halfe tribe haue receiued their inheritance on this side of Iorden toward Iericho full East.

De to Stammer og den halve Stamme har faaet deres Arvelod hinsides Jordan over for Jeriko, mod Øst, mod Solens Opgang.

16 Againe the Lord spake to Moses, saying,

Og HERREN talede til Moses og sagde:

17 These are the names of the men which shall deuide ye land vnto you: Eleazar the Priest, and Ioshua the sonne of Nun.

Navnene paa de Mænd, der skal udskifte Landet mellem eder, er følgende: Præsten Eleazar og Josua, Nuns Søn;

18 And ye shall take also a prince of euerie tribe to deuide the land.

desuden skal I udtage een Øverste af hver Stamme til at udskifte Landet.

19 The names also of the men are these: Of the tribe of Iudah, Caleb ye sonne of Iephunneh.

Navnene paa disse Mænd er følgende: Af Judas Stamme Kaleb, Jefunnes Søn,

20 And of the tribe of the sonnes of Simeon, Shemuel the sonne of Ammihud.

af Simeoniternes Stamme Sjemuel, Ammihuds Søn,

21 Of the tribe of Beniamin, Elidad the sonne of Chislon.

af Benjamins Stamme Elidad, Kislons Søn,

22 Also of the tribe of the sonnes of Dan, the prince Bukki, the sonne of Iogli.

af Daniternes Stamme een Øverste, Bukki, Joglis Søn,

23 Of the sonnes of Ioseph: of the tribe of the sonnes of Manasseh, the prince Hanniel the sonne of Ephod.

af Josefs Sønner: af Manassiternes Stamme een Øverste, Hanniel, Efods Søn,

24 And of the tribe of the sonnes of Ephraim, the prince Kemuel, the sonne of Shiphtan.

og af Efraimiternes Stamme een Øverste, Kemuel, Sjiftans Søn,

25 Of the tribe also of the sonnes of Zebulun, the prince Elizaphan, the sonne of Parnach.

af Zebuloniternes Stamme een Øverste, Elizafan, Parnaks Søn,

26 So of the tribe of the sonnes of Issachar, the prince Paltiel the sonne of Azzan.

af Issakariternes Stamme een Øverste, Paltiel, Azzans Søn,

27 Of the tribe also of the sonnes of Asher, the prince Ahihud, the sonne of Shelomi.

af Aseriternes Stamme een Øverste, Ahihud, Sjelomis Søn,

28 And of the tribe of the sonnes of Naphtali, the prince Pedahel, the sonne of Ammihud.

og af Naftaliternes Stamme een Øverste, Peda'el, Ammihuds Søn.

29 These are they, whome the Lord commanded to deuide the inheritance vnto the children of Israel, in the land of Canaan.

Det var dem, HERREN paalagde at udskifte Kana'ans Land mellem Israeliterne.
