Nehemiah 12
1 These also are the Priestes and the Leuites that went vp with Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel, and Ieshua: to wit, Seraiah, Ieremiah, Ezra,
Esta es la lista de los sacerdotes y levitas que volvieron con Zorobabel, hijo de Sealtiel, y Jesúa, el sumo sacerdote: Seraías, Jeremías, Esdras,
2 Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

3 Shecaniah, Rehum, Merimoth,
Secanías, Rehum, Meremot,
4 Iddo, Ginnetho, Abiiah,
Iddo, Gineto, Abías,
5 Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
Miamín, Maadías, Bilga,
6 Shemaiah, and Ioiarib, Iedaiah,
Semaías, Joiarib, Jedaías,
7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiiah, Iedaiah: these were the chiefe of the Priests, and of their brethren in the dayes of Ieshua.
Salú, Amoc, Hilcías y Jedaías. Estos eran los líderes de los sacerdotes y sus parientes en el tiempo de Jesúa.
8 And the Leuites, Ieshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Iudah, Mattaniah were ouer the thankesgiuings, he, and his brethren.
Los levitas eran Jesúa, Binúi, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá y Matanías, quien con sus compañeros levitas estaba a cargo de los cantos de alabanza.
9 And Bakbukiah and Vnni, and their brethren were about them in the watches.
Otros dos levitas, Bacbuquías y Uni, estaban frente a ellos en el servicio.
10 And Ieshua begate Ioiakim: Ioiakim also begate Eliashib, and Eliashib begate Ioiada.
El sumo sacerdote Jesúa era el padre de Joiacim, que era el padre de Eliasib, que era el padre de Joiada,
11 And Ioiada begate Ionathan, and Ionathan begate Iaddua,
que era el padre de Jonatán, que era el padre de Jadúa.
12 And in the daies of Ioiakim were these, the chiefe fathers of the Priests: vnder Seraiah was Meraiah, vnder Ieremiah, Hananiah,

13 Vnder Ezra, Meshullam, vnder Amariah, Iehohanan,

22 In the dayes of Eliashib, Ioiada, and Iohanan and Iaddua were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites written, and the Priests in the reigne of Darius the Persian.
Los jefes de familia de los levitas en la época de Eliasib, Joiada, Johanán y Jaddua, además de los de los sacerdotes, fueron registrados durante el reinado de Darío el Persa.
23 The sonnes of Leui, the chiefe fathers were written in the booke of the Chronicles euen vnto the dayes of Iohanan the sonne of Eliashib.
En cuanto a la genealogía de los hijos de Leví, los jefes de familia hasta la época de Johanán, hijo de Eliasib, fueron inscritos en el Libro de los Registros.
24 And the chiefe of the Leuites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Ieshua the sonne of Kadmiel, and their brethren about them to giue prayse and thankes, according to the ordinance of Dauid the man of God, ward ouer against warde.
Los jefes de los levitas eran Hasabías, Serebías y Jesúa, hijo de Cadmiel, junto con sus compañeros levitas, que estaban de pie frente a ellos, cada sección dando alabanzas y agradecimientos y respondiendo unos a otros, según lo dispuesto por David, el hombre de Dios.
25 Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon and Akkub were porters keeping the warde at the thresholds of the gates.
Se les unieron Matanías, Bacbucías y Abdías. Mesulam, Talmón y Acub eran guardianes de los almacenes de las puertas.
26 These were in the dayes of Ioiakim, the sonne of Ieshua, the sonne of Iozadak, and in the dayes of Nehemiah the captaine, and of Ezra the Priest and scribe.
Sirvieron en tiempos de Joiaquim, hijo de Jesúa, hijo de Josadac, y en tiempos del gobernador Nehemías y del sacerdote y escriba Esdras.
27 And in the dedication of the wall at Ierusalem they sought the Leuites out of all their places to bring them to Ierusalem to keepe the dedication and gladnes, both with thankesgiuings and with songs, cymbales, violes and with harpes.
Para dedicar el muro de Jerusalén, se llamó a los levitas de todos los lugares donde vivían para que vinieran a Jerusalén y celebraran con alegría la dedicación con cantos de alabanza y agradecimiento, acompañados de címbalos, arpas y liras.
28 Then the singers gathered themselues together both from the plaine countrey about Ierusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi,
También trajeron a los cantores de los alrededores de Jerusalén y de las aldeas de los netofatitas,
29 And from the house of Gilgal, and out of the countreis of Geba, and Azmaueth: for the singers had built them villages round about Ierusalem.
así como de Bet-gilgal y de la zona de Geba y Azmavet, pues los cantores se habían construido aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén.
30 And the Priests and Leuites were purified, and clensed the people, and the gates, and the wall.
Una vez que los sacerdotes y los levitas se purificaron, purificaron el pueblo, las puertas y la muralla.
31 And I brought vp the princes of Iudah vpon the wall, and appointed two great companies to giue thankes, and the one went on the right hand of the wall toward the dung gate.

32 And after them went Hoshaiah, and halfe of the princes of Iudah,

33 And Azariah, Ezra and Meshullam,

34 Iudah, Beniamin, and Shemaiah, and Ieremiah,

35 And of the Priests sonnes with trumpets, Zechariah the sonne of Ionathan, the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Mattaniah, the sonne of Michaiah, the sonne of Zaccur, ye sonne of Asaph.
así como algunos de los sacerdotes con trompetas, y Zacarías, hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semaías hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zaccur, hijo de Asaf,
36 And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Iudah, Hanani, with the musicall instruments of Dauid the man of God: and Ezra the scribe went before them.
y sus compañeros sacerdotes, Semaías, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netanel, Judá y Hanani, junto con los instrumentos musicales, tal como lo exigió David, el hombre de Dios. El escriba Esdras los dirigía.
37 And to the gate of the fountaine, euen ouer against them went they vp by the staires of the citie of Dauid, at the going vp of the wall beyond the house of Dauid, euen vnto the water gate Eastward.
En la Puerta de la Fuente se dirigieron hacia arriba por la escalera de la ciudad de David, donde la muralla sube, por encima de la casa de David, y hacia la Puerta del Agua, al este.
38 And the seconde companie of them that gaue thankes, went on the other side, and I after them, and the halfe of the people was vpon the wall, and vpon the towre of the furnaces euen vnto the broad wall.
El otro grupo del coro fue en dirección contraria. Los seguí, junto con la mitad del pueblo, por la muralla, pasando por la Torre de los Hornos, hasta la Muralla Ancha,
39 And vpon the gate of Ephraim, and vpon the olde gate, and vpon the fishgate, and the towre of Hananeel, and the towre of Meah, euen vnto the sheepegate: and they stood in the gate of the warde.
por la Puerta de Efraín, la Puerta de Jesana, la Puerta del Pescado, la Torre de Hananel y la Torre de los Cien, hasta la Puerta de las Ovejas, deteniéndose en la Puerta de la Guardia.
40 So stood the two companies (of them that gaue thankes) in the house of God, and I and the halfe of the rulers with me.
Los dos coros de acción de gracias ocuparon entonces su lugar en el Templo de Dios. Yo seguí con el grupo de líderes que me acompañaba,
41 The Priests also, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets,
junto con los sacerdotes que tocaban sus trompetas: Eliaquim, Maasías, Miniamin, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarías y Ananías.
42 And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Vzzi, and Iehohanan, and Malchiiah, and Elam, and Ezer: and the singers sang loude, hauing Izrahiah which was the ouerseer.
Luego vinieron los cantores Maasías, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzzi, Johanán, Malquías, Elam y Ezer, y los coros cantaron, dirigidos por Izrahías.
43 And the same day they offered great sacrifices and reioyced: for God had giuen them great ioy, so that both the women, and the children were ioyfull: and the ioy of Ierusalem was heard farre off.
Ese día se ofrecieron muchos sacrificios, celebrando que Dios les había traído tanta felicidad, una felicidad tremenda. Las mujeres y los niños también celebraron, y los sonidos de alegría en Jerusalén se podían escuchar a lo lejos.
44 Also at the same time were men appointed ouer the chambers of the store for the offerings (for the first fruites, and for the tithes) to gather into them out of the fieldes of the cities, the portions of the Law for the Priests and the Leuites: for Iudah reioyced for the Priests and for the Leuites, that serued.
Ese mismo día se pusieron hombres a cargo de los almacenes que contenían las ofrendas, la primera parte de las cosechas y los diezmos. Lo que la Ley asignaba a los sacerdotes y a los levitas se llevaba a estos almacenes desde los campos de los alrededores de las ciudades, porque todo el pueblo de Judá se alegraba por el servicio de los sacerdotes y de los levitas.
45 And both the singers and the Leuites kept the ward of their God, and the warde of the purification according to the commandement of Dauid, and Salomon his sonne.
Ellos eran responsables del culto a su Dios y del servicio de purificación, junto con los cantores y los porteros, siguiendo las instrucciones de David y de su hijo Salomón.
46 For in the dayes of Dauid and Asaph, of olde were chiefe singers, and songs of praise and thankesgiuing vnto God.
Porque hace mucho tiempo, en tiempos de David y de Asaf, se habían designado directores para los cantores y para los cantos de alabanza y de agradecimiento a Dios.
47 And in the dayes of Zerubbabel, and in the dayes of Nehemiah did al Israel giue portions vnto the singers and porters, euerie day his portion, and they gaue the holy things vnto the Leuites, and the Leuites gaue the holy things vnto the sonnes of Aaron.
Así que en el tiempo de Zorobabel y de Nehemías, todos en Israel proveían las dietas para los cantores y los porteros. También se aseguraban de proveer para los otros levitas, y los levitas daban una parte de esto a los descendientes de Aarón.
