Micah 6

1 Hearken ye nowe what the Lord sayth, Arise thou, and contende before the mountaines, and let the hilles heare thy voyce.

Ouvi agora o que o SENHOR diz: Levanta-te, briga com os montes, e ouçam os morros a tua voz.

2 Heare ye, O mountaynes, the Lordes quarel, and ye mightie foundations of the earth: for the Lord hath a quarell against his people, and he will pleade with Israel.

Ouvi vós, montes, e vós, fortes fundamentos da terra, a briga do SENHOR; porque o SENHOR tem uma briga judicial com seu povo, e disputará judicialmente com Israel.

3 O my people, what haue I done vnto thee? or wherin haue I grieued thee? testifie against me.

Ó povo meu, o que eu tenho feito a ti? Em que eu te incomodei? Responde-me.

4 Surely I brought thee vp out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of seruants, and I haue sent before thee, Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

Pois eu te fiz subir da terra do Egito, e da casa de escravidão eu te livrei; e enviei diante de ti a Moisés, Arão, e Miriã.

5 O my people, remember nowe what Balak King of Moab had deuised, and what Balaam the sonne of Beor answered him, from Shittim vnto Gilgal, that ye may knowe the righteousnes of the Lord.

Ó povo meu, lembra-te agora do Balaque, rei de Moabe, planejou, e do que Balaão, filho de Beor, lhe respondeu, [e do que aconteceu] desde Sitim até Gilgal, para que conheças as justiças do SENHOR.

6 Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, and bowe my selfe before the hie God? Shall I come before him with burnt offrings, and with calues of a yeere olde?

Com que me encontrarei com o SENHOR, [e] adorarei ao alto Deus? Virei diante ele com holocaustos, com bezerros de um ano?

7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousand riuers of oyle? shall I giue my first borne for my transgression, euen the fruite of my bodie, for the sinne of my soule?

O SENHOR se agradará de milhares de carneiros, [ou] de dez mil ribeiros de azeite? Darei meu primogênito por minha transgressão, o fruto de meu ventre pelo pecado de minha alma?

8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requireth of thee: surely to doe iustly, and to loue mercie, and to humble thy selfe, to walke with thy God.

Ele já declarou a ti, ó ser humano, o que é bom; e que mais o SENHOR pede de ti, a não ser fazer o que é justo, amar a bondade, e andar humildemente com teu Deus?

9 The Lordes voyce cryeth vnto the citie, and the man of wisedome shall see thy name: Heare the rodde, and who hath appoynted it.

A voz do SENHOR clama à cidade (e sábio é temer o teu nome): Ouvi a vara, e a quem a estabeleceu.

10 Are yet the treasures of wickednes in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure, that is abominable?

Não há ainda na casa do perverso riquezas da perversidade, e medida enganosamente menor, o que é abominável?

11 Shall I iustifie the wicked balances, and the bag of deceitfull weightes?

Posso eu tolerar [quem tem] balanças falsas e bolsa de pesos enganosos?

12 For the rich men thereof are full of crueltie, and the inhabitants thereof haue spoken lyes, and their tongue is deceitfull in their mouth.

Pois seus ricos estão cheios de violência, e seus moradores falaram mentiras, e suas línguas são enganosas em suas bocas.

13 Therefore also will I make thee sicke in smiting thee, and in making thee desolate, because of thy sinnes.

Por isso eu também [te] enfraquecerei, ferindo-te e assolando-te por teus pecados.

14 Thou shalt eate and not be satisfied, and thy casting downe shall be in the mids of thee, and thou shalt take holde, but shalt not deliuer: and that which thou deliuerest, will I giue vp to the sworde.

Tu comerás, mas não te saciarás; e fome haverá no meio de ti; tu pegarás, mas não levarás [contigo]; e o que levares, eu [o] entregarei à espada.

15 Thou shalt sowe, but not reape: thou shalt treade the oliues, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oyle, and make sweete wine, but shalt not drinke wine.

Tu semearás, mas não colherás; pisarás azeitonas, mas não te ungirás com óleo; [pisarás] uvas, mas não beberás vinho.

16 For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the maner of the house of Ahab, and ye walke in their counsels, that I should make thee waste, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall beare the reproche of my people.

Pois são os mandamentos de Onri, e todas as obras da casa de Acabe, que são obedecidos; e vós praticais seus conselhos. Por isso eu te tornarei desolada, e teus moradores serão motivo de assovio. Assim levareis a humilhação de meu povo.
