< Matthew 23 >

1 Then spake Iesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Chutah in Yeshuan mi honpi le aseijuiho jah a chun,
2 Saying, The Scribes and the Pharises sit in Moses seate.
“Hou Dan thuhil hole Pharisee ho Mose Danbu ho sutoh dinga houhil lamkaiya lhen doh ahiuve.”
3 All therefore whatsoeuer they bid you obserue, that obserue and doe: but after their workes doe not: for they say, and doe not.
Hijeh chun amahon nahil chan'u chu bol un chule nahil nauva aseiyu ngaiyun, hinlah aum chan'u vang jui hih un. Ajeh chu amahon ahilu chu abol pouve.
4 For they binde heauie burdens, and grieuous to be borne, and lay them on mens shoulders, but they themselues will not moue them with one of their fingers.
Amaho hin mihon apoh joudiu kalval chonna angeh un, hinlah pohgih ngai jangna ding in akhut jung khat'u jong chasah lou ahiuve.
5 All their workes they doe for to be seene of men: for they make their phylacteries broad, and make long the frindges of their garments,
“Athilbol jouseu chu mimu dinga bou bol ahiuve. Abanjang uva taona bom akoiyun, asungah Pathen Lekhabua thucheng kijih aneiyun, chule amahon sangkhol chol mong kailha agei kikhit ho akiah-uve.”
6 And loue the chiefe place at feastes, and to haue the chiefe seates in the assemblies,
Chule amaho hi anneh khomna dokhang mun thupi laiya touva chule hou-kikhopna in'a jabolna'a tou anom'uvin ahi.
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
Amahon kailhang mun'a min jaboltah'a alem diu adeiyun, chule houhil ati diu adei-uve.
8 But be not ye called, Rabbi: for one is your doctour, to wit, Christ, and all ye are brethren.
“Koiman houhil nati diu janom hih un, ajeh chu nanghon houhil khat naneiyun, chule nangho nabon chauva sopite hina a kibang cheh nahiu ahi.”
9 And call no man your father vpon the earth: for there is but one, your father which is in heauen.
Chule hiche leiset chunga koima Pa sah hih un, ajeh chu vana um Pathen chu Lhagaova na-Pau ahi.
10 Be not called doctours: for one is your doctour, euen Christ.
Chule koiman nangho houhil tin kikousah hih un, ajeh chu nanghon houhil naneiyun, Messiah chu ahi.
11 But he that is greatest among you, let him be your seruant.
Nalah uva alen pen hinoma chu soh ahi angaiye.
12 For whosoeuer will exalt himselfe, shall be brought lowe: and whosoeuer will humble himselfe, shalbe exalted.
Hinlah ama kichoisang ho chu kisu nem'intin, chule akingai nem ho chu kichoi sang ding ahiuve.
13 Wo therefore be vnto you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites, because ye shut vp the kingdome of heauen before men: for ye your selues go not in, neither suffer ye them that would enter, to come in.
“Itobang lunghemnan nahin phah diu hitam nangho hou dan thuhil hole Pharisee ho. Mipha lhem ho! Ajeh chu miho maikoh'ah nanghon Van Lenggam kot chu nakhah'un ahi. Nang hola nalut pouvin chule midang ho jong alut diu na janom deh pouve.”
14 Wo be vnto you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites: for ye deuoure widowes houses, euen vnder a colour of long prayers: wherefore ye shall receiue the greater damnation.
“Itobang lunghemnan nahin phah diu hitam nangho Hou dan thuhil hole Pharisee ho. Miphalhem ho! Nanghon meithai ho anei-agou thil chung'ah jachatna thei leuvin dohan nabol'un, chule hou ngaisah tah tobang'in mipi lah'a sotpi natao un ahi. Hiche jeh'a hi gimbolna nasatah kipe ding nahiuve.”
15 Wo be vnto you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites: for ye compasse sea and land to make one of your profession: and when he is made, ye make him two folde more the childe of hell, then you your selues. (Geenna g1067)
“Itobang lunghemnan nahin phah diu hitam nangho Hou dan thuhil hole Pharisee ho. Miphalhem ho! Ajeh chu nanghon mi khat na loilutna ding un, gam tina twikhanglen gal geiyin navah leuvin, chule khat touvin lung ahin heiya ahileh nangho amachu nivei jen Damun cha in nasem un, nangho jong nahiu ahi!” (Geenna g1067)
16 Wo be vnto you blinde guides, which say, Whosoeuer sweareth by the Temple, it is nothing: but whosoeuer sweareth by the golde of the Temple, he offendeth.
“Mitcho lamhil ho! Itobang lunghemna in nahin pha diuvem! Ajeh chu nang hon Pathen hou-in'a kihahsel ima akhohpoi natiuve; hinlah hou-in sunga Sana'a kihahsel chu khoh'ah ahi, natiuve.”
17 Ye fooles and blinde, whether is greater, the golde, or the Temple that sanctifieth the golde?
Mitcho mingol ho! Hou-in'a sana ahilouleh Hou-in sana suthenga chu hoijoh thupijo hintem?
18 And whosoeuer sweareth by the altar, it is nothing: but whosoeuer sweareth by the offering that is vpon it, offendeth.
Chule nanghon maicham muna kihahsel chu imacha akhohpoi, hinlah maicham chunga thil kipedoh'a kihahsel chu khoh ahi, natiuve.
19 Ye fooles and blinde, whether is greater, the offering, or the altar which sanctifieth the offering?
Itobang loma mitcho nahiu ham! Maicham chunga thilto kichoi chuleh thilto suthenga maicham joh chu hoiche thupijo ham?
20 Whosoeuer therefore sweareth by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
Nangho maicham pan'a nakihahsel tenguleh hiche maichama kihahsela chule maicham chunga umho geiya chu kihahsela nahi tai.
21 And whosoeuer sweareth by the Temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
Chule nangho Hou-in pan'a na kihahsel tenguleh hiche maicham munle maichama cheng Pathen'a kihahsel nahiu ahitai.
22 And he that sweareth by heauen, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
Chule van min pan'a nakihahsel teng Pathen laltouna le Pathen laltouna'a toupa'a chu kihahsel nahi ahitai.
23 Wo be to you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites: for ye tithe mynt, and annyse, and cummyn, and leaue the weightier matters of the law, as iudgement, and mercy and fidelitie. These ought ye to haue done, and not to haue left the other.
“Itobang lung hemnan nahin phah diu hitam nangho Houdan thuhil ho le Pharisee ho. Miphalhem ho! Ajeh chu nanghon nahonsoh uva kona muchi neopen geiyin som'a khat napeuve, hinlah danthupeh akhohjo, adih'a thutan khotona chule tahsan nahsah in nagel pouve!”
24 Ye blinde guides, which straine out a gnat, and swallowe a camell.
Mitcho lamhil ho! Thousi vaibong naval louna ding uvin twina lhiu vin, hilah nanghon sangongsang napum val uve!
25 Wo be to you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites: for ye make cleane the vtter side of the cup, and of the platter: but within they are ful of briberie and excesse.
“Itobang lunghemnan nahin phah diu hitam nangho Houdan Thuhil hole Pharisee ho. Miphalhem ho! Ajeh chu nanghon khon le kong chu apolam siltheng nathem un, hinlah nasung lamu, chip setna le kichang khohsahnan nadim uve.”
26 Thou blinde Pharise, cleanse first the inside of the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be cleane also.
Mitcho Pharisee ho! Amasan khon le kong chu asung soptheng un, chutengleh apolam jong chu hungtheng tante.
27 Wo be to you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites: for ye are like vnto whited tombes, which appeare beautifull outward, but are within full of dead mens bones, and all filthines.
“Itobang lunghemnan nahin phah diu hitam nangho Houdan Thuhil hole Pharisee ho. Miphalhem ho! Ajeh chu lhan kiloibang tobangbep nahiuve, apolam vet hoi, hinlah nasunglam'u mithi gu le nen dimset nahiuve.”
28 So are ye also: for outwarde ye appeare righteous vnto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisie and iniquitie.
Polama vet ding'in midihho to nakilou uvin, hinlah nasung gil lamu phatlhemna le danbei nahibou uve.
29 Wo be vnto you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites: for ye build the tombes of the Prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
“Itobang lunghemnan nahin phah diu hitam nangho Houdan thuhil hole Pharisee ho. Miphalhem ho! Ajeh chu nanghon napu napa teuvin anathau themgao hole Pathen ngaisah ho lhan chu nasemhoiyun ahi.”
30 And say, If we had bene in the dayes of our fathers, we would not haue bene partners with them in the blood of the Prophets.
Chujongleh nanghon kapu kapateu phatlai chun keiho anahing leuveng themgao ho athanauva kajaolou beh dingu ahi, natiuve.
31 So then ye be witnesses vnto your selues, that ye are the children of them that murthered the Prophets.
“Hinlah hitia nasei jeng vangun, nanghon themgao that ho sonle chi lhah nahiuve tiphot chetna nakiphondoh u ahiye.”
32 Fulfill ye also ye measure of your fathers.
Cheuvin lang napu napa teuvin ana-patsau chu nanghon gabulhit un.
33 O serpents, the generation of vipers, howe should ye escape the damnation of hell! (Geenna g1067)
Gulho, gulse chilhah ho! Damun thutanna chu iti napel thei mong ding'u ham? (Geenna g1067)
34 Wherefore beholde, I send vnto you Prophets, and wise men, and Scribes, and of them ye shall kill and crucifie: and of them shall ye scourge in your Synagogues, and persecute from citie to citie,
“Hijeh'a chu keiman themgao ho le miching ho chule Houdan thuhil ho na henguva ka hinsol ahi. Hinlah nanghon abang chu thingpela na khetbeh dingu, chule adangse chu hou ki khopna in'a najep dingu, chule khopi khat'a kona khopi choma nadelle dingu ahi.”
35 That vpon you may come all the righteous blood that was shed vpon the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous, vnto the blood of Zacharias the sonne of Barachias, whome ye slewe betweene the Temple and the altar.
Hitia chu michonpha Abel kitha'a pat Barachiah chapa Zechariah Hou'in maicham teni kikah'a kithat ho jouse chunga themmona nahin kipoh dingu ahi.
36 Verely I say vnto you, all these things shall come vpon this generation.
Thutahbeh kaseipeh nahiuve, hiche thutanna hi tukhang mite chunga hung lhung ding ahi.
37 Hierusalem, Hierusalem, which killest the Prophets, and stonest them which are sent to thee, how often would I haue gathered thy children together, as the henne gathereth her chickins vnder her wings, and ye would not!
“Vo Jerusalem, Jerusalem themgao ho that le Pathen thupole ho that'a pangho! Ahpin anoute alhaving tenia a-opkhum tobanga nachateu itobang tah'a kakhoptup kigot hitam! Hinlah nanghon neiphal peh pouve.
38 Beholde, your habitation shalbe left vnto you desolate,
Chule tun veuvin, na in'u chu dalhahsa le ahomkeo ahitai.
39 For I say vnto you, ye shall not see mee henceforth till that ye say, Blessed is he that commeth in the Name of the Lord.
Ajeh chu hiche thutahbeh hi kaseipeh nahiuve, hiche thutanna hi tukhang mite chunga chu ding ahi!”
