Matthew 15
1 Then came to Iesus the Scribes and Pharises, which were of Hierusalem, saying,
பின்பு பரிசேயரும், மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்களும் எருசலேமிலிருந்து இயேசுவிடம் வந்து,
2 Why do thy disciples transgresse the tradition of the Elders? for they wash not their hands when they eate bread.
“உமது சீடர்கள் ஏன் முன்னோரின் பாரம்பரிய முறையை மீறுகிறார்கள்? அவர்கள் தாங்கள் சாப்பிடுவதற்கு முன்பு தங்கள் கைகளைக் கழுவுவதில்லையே!” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
3 But he answered and said vnto them, Why doe yee also transgresse the commandement of God by your tradition?
அதற்கு இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “உங்களுடைய பாரம்பரிய முறைகளின் நிமித்தம், நீங்கள் ஏன் இறைவனின் கட்டளைகளை மீறுகிறீர்கள்?
4 For God hath commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and he that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
ஏனெனில், ‘உனது தகப்பனையும், தாயையும் கனம்பண்ணுவாயாக’ என்றும், ‘தனது தகப்பனையோ, தாயையோ சபித்தால், அவன் கொல்லப்படவேண்டும்’ என்றும், இறைவன் சொன்னாரே.
5 But ye say, Whosoeuer shall say to father or mother, By the gift that is offered by me, thou maiest haue profite,
ஆனால் நீங்களோ, ஒருவன் தன் தாய் தகப்பனைப் பார்த்து, ‘என்னிடமிருந்து நீங்கள் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளக்கூடிய உதவியை காணிக்கையாக இறைவனுக்கு அர்ப்பணித்துவிட்டேன்’ என்று அவன் சொன்னால்,
6 Though hee honour not his father, or his mother, shalbe free: thus haue ye made the commandement of God of no aucthoritie by your tradition.
அவன் தன் தாயையோ தகப்பனையோ கனம்பண்ணவேண்டிய அவசியமில்லை என்று சொல்கிறீர்கள். நீங்கள் உங்கள் பாரம்பரியத்தின் நிமித்தம், இறைவனின் வார்த்தைகளை பயனற்றதாக்குகிறீர்கள்.
7 O hypocrites, Esaias prophecied well of you, saying,
வேஷக்காரர்களே! உங்களைக்குறித்து சரியாகவே இறைவாக்கினன் ஏசாயா இறைவாக்குரைத்தான்:
8 This people draweth neere vnto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with the lips, but their heart is farre off from me.
“‘இந்த மக்கள் தங்கள் உதடுகளினால் என்னைக் கனம்பண்ணுகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் இருதயமோ என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரமாயிருக்கிறது.
9 But in vaine they worship me, teaching for doctrines, mens precepts.
அவர்கள் வீணாகவே என்னை ஆராதிக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய போதனைகளோ, மனிதர்களின் ஒழுங்குவிதிகளே’” என்றார்.
10 Then hee called the multitude vnto him, and said to them, Heare and vnderstand.
பின்பு இயேசு மக்கள் கூட்டத்தைத் தன்னிடம் அழைத்து சொன்னதாவது: “கேட்டு விளங்கிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
11 That which goeth into the mouth, defileth not the man, but that which commeth out of the mouth, that defileth the man.
மனிதனுடைய வாய்க்குள் போவது அவனை அசுத்தப்படுத்தாது. ஆனால் அவனுடைய வாயிலிருந்து வெளியே வருவது எதுவோ, அதுவே அவனை அசுத்தப்படுத்தும்” என்றார்.
12 Then came his disciples, and saide vnto him, Perceiuest thou not, that the Pharises are offended in hearing this saying?
அப்பொழுது சீடர்கள் இயேசுவிடம் வந்து, “இவற்றைப் பரிசேயர்கள் கேட்டு, கோபித்துக்கொண்டார்கள் என்பது உமக்குத் தெரியுமா?” என்றார்கள்.
13 But hee answered and saide, Euery plant which mine heauenly Father hath not planted, shalbe rooted vp.
அதற்கு இயேசு, “எனது பரலோக பிதா நடாத எல்லாச் செடிகளும் வேரோடே பிடுங்கிப்போடப்படும்.
14 Let them alone, they be the blinde leaders of the blinde: and if the blinde leade ye blinde, both shall fall into the ditche.
அவர்களை விட்டுவிடுங்கள்; அவர்கள் குருட்டு வழிகாட்டிகள். குருடன் குருடனுக்கு வழிகாட்டினால், இருவரும் குழியிலே விழுவார்களே” எனப் பதிலளித்தார்.
15 Then answered Peter, and said to him, Declare vnto vs this parable.
அப்பொழுது பேதுரு, “இந்த உவமையை எங்களுக்கு விளக்கமாகச் சொல்லும்” என்றான்.
16 Then said Iesus, Are ye yet without vnderstanding?
அதற்கு இயேசு, “நீங்கள் இன்னும் புரிந்துகொள்ளாதவர்களாய் இருக்கிறீர்களா?” என்று அவர்களிடம் கேட்டார்.
17 Perceiue ye not yet, that whatsoeuer entreth into the mouth, goeth into the bellie, and is cast out into the draught?
“வாய்க்குள் போவதெல்லாம் வயிற்றுக்குள் போய் உடலைவிட்டு வெளியேறுகிறது என்று தெரியாதா?
18 But those thinges which proceede out of the mouth, come from the heart, and they defile the man.
ஆனால் வாயிலிருந்து வெளியே வருகிறவைகள் இருதயத்திலிருந்து வந்து மனிதரை அசுத்தப்படுத்தும்.
19 For out of the heart come euil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, slaunders.
ஏனெனில் இருதயத்திலிருந்தே தீய சிந்தனைகள், கொலை, விபசாரம், முறைகேடான பாலுறவு, களவு, பொய்ச்சாட்சி, அவதூறு ஆகியவை வெளிவருகின்றன.
20 These are the things, which defile the man: but to eat with vnwashen hands, defileth not ye man.
இவையே மனிதனை அசுத்தப்படுத்தும்; கை கழுவாமல் சாப்பிடுவது மனிதரை அசுத்தப்படுத்தாது” என்றார்.
21 And Iesus went thence, and departed into the coastes of Tyrus and Sidon.
இயேசு அவ்விடம் விட்டு தீரு, சீதோன் பகுதிக்குச் சென்றார்.
22 And beholde, a woman a Cananite came out of the same coasts, and cried, saying vnto him, Haue mercie on me, O Lord, the sonne of Dauid: my daughter is miserably vexed with a deuil.
அப்பகுதியிலிருந்த ஒரு கானானியப் பெண் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, “ஆண்டவரே, தாவீதின் மகனே, என்மேல் இரக்கமாயிரும்! எனது மகளுக்குப் பிசாசு பிடித்திருப்பதினால் மிகவும் வேதனைப்படுகிறாள்” என்று கதறினாள்.
23 But hee answered her not a worde. Then came to him his disciples, and besought him, saying, Sende her away, for she crieth after vs.
ஆனால் இயேசு அதற்குப் பதிலாக ஒரு வார்த்தையும் சொல்லவில்லை. எனவே அவரது சீடர்கள் அவரிடம் வந்து, “இவளை அனுப்பிவிடும் இவள் நமக்குப் பின்னால் கதறிக் கொண்டே வருகிறாளே!” என வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
24 But he answered, and said, I am not sent, but vnto the lost sheepe of the house of Israel.
அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “நான் இஸ்ரயேலில் வழிதவறிப்போன ஆடுகளுக்காக மட்டுமே அனுப்பப்பட்டேன்” என்று சொன்னார்.
25 Yet she came, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, helpe me.
அந்தப் பெண் வந்து, இயேசுவின்முன் முழங்காற்படியிட்டு, “ஆண்டவரே எனக்கு உதவிசெய்யும்!” என்றாள்.
26 And he answered, and said, It is not good to take the childrens bread, and to cast it to whelps.
இயேசு அவளைப் பார்த்து, “பிள்ளைகளின் அப்பத்தை எடுத்து நாய்க்குட்டிகளுக்குப் போடுவது சரியல்ல” என்றார்.
27 But she said, Trueth, Lord: yet in deede the whelpes eate of the crommes, which fall from their masters table.
அதற்கு அவள், “ஆம் ஆண்டவரே, ஆனால் நாய்க்குட்டிகள் எஜமானின் மேஜையில் இருந்து விழும் அப்பத்துண்டுகளைத் தின்னுமே” என்றாள்.
28 Then Iesus answered, and saide vnto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it to thee, as thou desirest. And her daughter was made whole at that houre.
அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “பெண்ணே, உன் விசுவாசம் பெரியது! நீ வேண்டியது கொடுக்கப்பட்டது” என்றார். அந்நேரமே, அவளுடைய மகள் சுகமடைந்தாள்.
29 So Iesus went away from thence, and came neere vnto the sea of Galile, and went vp into a mountaine and sate downe there.
இயேசு அவ்விடம் விட்டு, கலிலேயா கடலருகே வந்தார். அங்கே அவர் ஒரு மலைப்பகுதிக்கு ஏறிச்சென்று உட்கார்ந்தார்.
30 And great multitudes came vnto him, hauing with them, halt, blinde, dumme, maymed, and many other, and cast them downe at Iesus feete, and he healed them.
மக்கள் பெருங்கூட்டமாய் அவரிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள். அவர்கள் முடவரையும், பார்வையற்றோரையும், அங்கவீனரையும், ஊமையரையும், அவர்களுடன் மற்ற அநேக நோயாளிகளையும் கொண்டுவந்து அவருடைய பாதத்தில் கிடத்தினார்கள்; இயேசு அவர்களை குணமாக்கினார்.
31 In so much that the multitude wondered, to see the dumme speake, the maimed whole, the halt to goe, and the blinde to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
ஊமையர் பேசுவதையும், அங்கவீனர் சுகமடைவதையும், முடவர் நடப்பதையும், பார்வையற்றோர் பார்ப்பதையும் மக்கள் கண்டு வியப்படைந்தார்கள். அவர்கள் இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனைத் துதித்தார்கள்.
32 Then Iesus called his disciples vnto him, and said, I haue compassion on this multitude, because they haue continued with mee already three dayes, and haue nothing to eate: and I wil not let them depart fasting, least they faint in the way.
இயேசு தமது சீடரைத் தம்மிடமாய்க் கூப்பிட்டு, “நான் இந்த மக்களுக்காக இரக்கப்படுகிறேன்; இவர்கள் என்னுடன் ஏற்கெனவே மூன்று நாட்கள் தங்கிவிட்டார்கள். சாப்பிடுவதற்கோ, அவர்களிடம் ஒன்றுமில்லை. நான் இவர்களைப் பசியோடு அனுப்ப விரும்பவில்லை, அனுப்பினால் இவர்கள் வழியில் சோர்ந்து விழுவார்களே” என்றார்.
33 And his disciples saide vnto him, Whence should we get so much bread in the wildernes, as should suffice so great a multitude!
அவரது சீடர்கள் அவரிடம், “இவ்வளவு பெரிய கூட்டத்திற்குக் கொடுக்கத் தேவையான உணவை சற்று தூரமான இந்த இடத்திலே எங்கிருந்து பெறமுடியும்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
34 And Iesus said vnto them, How many loaues haue ye? And they said, Seuen, and a few litle fishes.
“உங்களிடம் எத்தனை அப்பங்கள் இருக்கின்றன?” என்று இயேசு கேட்டார். “ஏழு அப்பங்களும், சில சிறு மீன்களும் இருக்கின்றன” என்று பதிலளித்தார்கள்.
35 Then he commanded the multitude to sit downe on the ground,
இயேசு மக்கள் கூட்டத்தைத் தரையில் உட்காரும்படி சொன்னார்.
36 And tooke the seuen loaues, and the fishes, and gaue thankes, and brake them, and gaue to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
பின்பு அவர் ஏழு அப்பங்களையும், மீன்களையும் எடுத்து இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தியபின், அவற்றைப் பிட்டு சீடர்களிடம் கொடுத்தார். அதை அவர்கள் மக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.
37 And they did all eate, and were sufficed: and they tooke vp of the fragments that remained, seuen baskets full.
அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் சாப்பிட்டுத் திருப்தியடைந்தார்கள். அதற்குப் பின்பு மீதியான அப்பத் துண்டுகளைச் சீடர்கள் ஏழு கூடைகள் நிறைய சேர்த்து எடுத்தார்கள்.
38 And they that had eaten, were foure thousand men, beside women, and litle children.
சாப்பிட்ட ஆண்களின் எண்ணிக்கை நாலாயிரமாயிருந்தது. அவர்களைத்தவிர பெண்களும், பிள்ளைகளுங்கூட இருந்தார்கள்.
39 Then Iesus sent away the multitude, and tooke ship, and came into the partes of Magdala.
இயேசு மக்கள் கூட்டத்தை அனுப்பிவிட்டபின், படகில் ஏறி மகதான் நாட்டின் எல்லைகளுக்கு வந்தார்.
