Mark 1
1 The beginning of the Gospel of Iesus Christ, the Sonne of God:
Inilah permulaan Injil tentang Yesus Kristus, Anak Allah.
2 As it is written in the Prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
Seperti ada tertulis dalam kitab nabi Yesaya: "Lihatlah, Aku menyuruh utusan-Ku mendahului Engkau, ia akan mempersiapkan jalan bagi-Mu;
3 The voyce of him that cryeth in the wildernesse is, Prepare the way of the Lord: make his paths straight.
ada suara orang yang berseru-seru di padang gurun: Persiapkanlah jalan untuk Tuhan, luruskanlah jalan bagi-Nya",
4 Iohn did baptize in the wildernesse, and preach the baptisme of amendment of life, for remission of sinnes.
demikianlah Yohanes Pembaptis tampil di padang gurun dan menyerukan: "Bertobatlah dan berilah dirimu dibaptis dan Allah akan mengampuni dosamu."
5 And al ye countrey of Iudea, and they of Hierusalem went out vnto him, and were all baptized of him in the riuer Iordan, confessing their sinnes.
Lalu datanglah kepadanya orang-orang dari seluruh daerah Yudea dan semua penduduk Yerusalem, dan sambil mengaku dosanya mereka dibaptis di sungai Yordan.
6 Nowe Iohn was clothed with camels heare, and with a girdle of a skinne about his loynes: and he did eate Locusts and wilde hony,
Yohanes memakai jubah bulu unta dan ikat pinggang kulit, dan makanannya belalang dan madu hutan.
7 And preached, saying, A stronger then I commeth after me, whose shoes latchet I am not worthy to stoupe downe, and vnloose.
Inilah yang diberitakannya: "Sesudah aku akan datang Ia yang lebih berkuasa dari padaku; membungkuk dan membuka tali kasut-Nyapun aku tidak layak.
8 Trueth it is, I haue baptized you with water: but he will baptize you with the holy Ghost.
Aku membaptis kamu dengan air, tetapi Ia akan membaptis kamu dengan Roh Kudus."
9 And it came to passe in those dayes, that Iesus came from Nazareth, a citie of Galile, and was baptized of Iohn in Iordan.
Pada waktu itu datanglah Yesus dari Nazaret di tanah Galilea, dan Ia dibaptis di sungai Yordan oleh Yohanes.
10 And assoone as he was come out of the water, Iohn saw the heauens clouen in twaine, and the holy Ghost descending vpon him like a doue.
Pada saat Ia keluar dari air, Ia melihat langit terkoyak, dan Roh seperti burung merpati turun ke atas-Nya.
11 Then there was a voyce from heauen, saying, Thou art my beloued Sonne, in whome I am well pleased.
Lalu terdengarlah suara dari sorga: "Engkaulah Anak-Ku yang Kukasihi, kepada-Mulah Aku berkenan."
12 And immediatly the Spirite driueth him into the wildernesse.
Segera sesudah itu Roh memimpin Dia ke padang gurun.
13 And he was there in the wildernesse fourtie daies, and was tempted of Satan: hee was also with the wilde beastes, and the Angels ministred vnto him.
Di padang gurun itu Ia tinggal empat puluh hari lamanya, dicobai oleh Iblis. Ia berada di sana di antara binatang-binatang liar dan malaikat-malaikat melayani Dia.
14 Now after that Iohn was committed to prison, Iesus came into Galile, preaching the Gospel of the kingdome of God,
Sesudah Yohanes ditangkap datanglah Yesus ke Galilea memberitakan Injil Allah,
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdome of God is at hand: repent and beleeue the Gospel.
kata-Nya: "Waktunya telah genap; Kerajaan Allah sudah dekat. Bertobatlah dan percayalah kepada Injil!"
16 And as he walked by the sea of Galile, he saw Simon, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, (for they were fishers.)
Ketika Yesus sedang berjalan menyusur danau Galilea, Ia melihat Simon dan Andreas, saudara Simon. Mereka sedang menebarkan jala di danau, sebab mereka penjala ikan.
17 Then Iesus said vnto them, Folow me, and I will make you to be fishers of men.
Yesus berkata kepada mereka: "Mari, ikutlah Aku dan kamu akan Kujadikan penjala manusia."
18 And straightway they forsooke their nets, and folowed him.
Lalu merekapun segera meninggalkan jalanya dan mengikuti Dia.
19 And when hee had gone a litle further thence, he sawe Iames the sonne of Zebedeus, and Iohn his brother, as they were in the ship, mending their nets.
Dan setelah Yesus meneruskan perjalanan-Nya sedikit lagi, dilihat-Nya Yakobus, anak Zebedeus, dan Yohanes, saudaranya, sedang membereskan jala di dalam perahu.
20 And anon hee called them: and they left their father Zebedeus in the shippe with his hired seruants, and went their way after him.
Yesus segera memanggil mereka dan mereka meninggalkan ayahnya, Zebedeus, di dalam perahu bersama orang-orang upahannya lalu mengikuti Dia.
21 So they entred into Capernaum, and straightway on the Sabbath day hee entred into the Synagogue, and taught.
Mereka tiba di Kapernaum. Setelah hari Sabat mulai, Yesus segera masuk ke dalam rumah ibadat dan mengajar.
22 And they were astonied at his doctrine, for he taught them as one that had authoritie, and not as the Scribes.
Mereka takjub mendengar pengajaran-Nya, sebab Ia mengajar mereka sebagai orang yang berkuasa, tidak seperti ahli-ahli Taurat.
23 And there was in their Synagogue a man in whome was an vncleane spirite, and hee cried out,
Pada waktu itu di dalam rumah ibadat itu ada seorang yang kerasukan roh jahat. Orang itu berteriak:
24 Saying, Ah, what haue we to do with thee, O Iesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy vs? I knowe thee what thou art, euen that holy one of God.
"Apa urusan-Mu dengan kami, hai Yesus orang Nazaret? Engkau datang hendak membinasakan kami? Aku tahu siapa Engkau: Yang Kudus dari Allah."
25 And Iesus rebuked him, saying, Holde thy peace, and come out of him.
Tetapi Yesus menghardiknya, kata-Nya: "Diam, keluarlah dari padanya!"
26 And the vncleane spirit tare him, and cried with a loude voyce, and came out of him.
Roh jahat itu menggoncang-goncang orang itu, dan sambil menjerit dengan suara nyaring ia keluar dari padanya.
27 And they were all amased, so that they demaunded one of another, saying, What thing is this? what newe doctrine is this? for he commandeth euen the foule spirites with authoritie, and they obey him.
Mereka semua takjub, sehingga mereka memperbincangkannya, katanya: "Apa ini? Suatu ajaran baru. Ia berkata-kata dengan kuasa. Roh-roh jahatpun diperintah-Nya dan mereka taat kepada-Nya."
28 And immediatly his fame spred abroade throughout all the region bordering on Galile.
Lalu tersebarlah dengan cepat kabar tentang Dia ke segala penjuru di seluruh Galilea.
29 And assoone as they were come out of the Synagogue, they entred into the house of Symon and Andrew, with Iames and Iohn.
Sekeluarnya dari rumah ibadat itu Yesus dengan Yakobus dan Yohanes pergi ke rumah Simon dan Andreas.
30 And Symons wiues mother lay sicke of a feuer, and anon they told him of her.
Ibu mertua Simon terbaring karena sakit demam. Mereka segera memberitahukan keadaannya kepada Yesus.
31 And he came and tooke her by the hand, and lifted her vp, and the feuer forsooke her by and by, and shee ministred vnto them.
Ia pergi ke tempat perempuan itu, dan sambil memegang tangannya Ia membangunkan dia, lalu lenyaplah demamnya. Kemudian perempuan itu melayani mereka.
32 And whe euen was come, at what time the sunne setteth, they brought to him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with deuils.
Menjelang malam, sesudah matahari terbenam, dibawalah kepada Yesus semua orang yang menderita sakit dan yang kerasukan setan.
33 And the whole citie was gathered together at the doore.
Maka berkerumunlah seluruh penduduk kota itu di depan pintu.
34 And he healed many that were sicke of diuers diseases: and he cast out many deuils, and suffred not the deuils to say that they knewe him.
Ia menyembuhkan banyak orang yang menderita bermacam-macam penyakit dan mengusir banyak setan; Ia tidak memperbolehkan setan-setan itu berbicara, sebab mereka mengenal Dia.
35 And in the morning very early before day, Iesus arose and went out into a solitarie place, and there praied.
Pagi-pagi benar, waktu hari masih gelap, Ia bangun dan pergi ke luar. Ia pergi ke tempat yang sunyi dan berdoa di sana.
36 And Simon, and they that were with him, followed carefully after him.
Tetapi Simon dan kawan-kawannya menyusul Dia;
37 And when they had found him, they sayde vnto him, All men seeke for thee.
waktu menemukan Dia mereka berkata: "Semua orang mencari Engkau."
38 Then he said vnto them, Let vs go into the next townes, that I may preach there also: for I came out for that purpose.
Jawab-Nya: "Marilah kita pergi ke tempat lain, ke kota-kota yang berdekatan, supaya di sana juga Aku memberitakan Injil, karena untuk itu Aku telah datang."
39 And hee preached in their Synagogues, throughout all Galile, and cast the deuils out.
Lalu pergilah Ia ke seluruh Galilea dan memberitakan Injil dalam rumah-rumah ibadat mereka dan mengusir setan-setan.
40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeled downe vnto him, and said to him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me cleane.
Seorang yang sakit kusta datang kepada Yesus, dan sambil berlutut di hadapan-Nya ia memohon bantuan-Nya, katanya: "Kalau Engkau mau, Engkau dapat mentahirkan aku."
41 And Iesus had compassion, and put foorth his hand, and touched him, and said to him, I wil: be thou cleane.
Maka tergeraklah hati-Nya oleh belas kasihan, lalu Ia mengulurkan tangan-Nya, menjamah orang itu dan berkata kepadanya: "Aku mau, jadilah engkau tahir."
42 And assone as he had spoken, immediatly ye leprosie departed from him, and he was made cleane.
Seketika itu juga lenyaplah penyakit kusta orang itu, dan ia menjadi tahir.
43 And after he had giue him a streight commandement, he sent him away forthwith,
Segera Ia menyuruh orang itu pergi dengan peringatan keras:
44 And sayde vnto him, See thou say nothing to any man, but get thee hence, and shewe thy selfe to the Priest, and offer for thy clensing those things, which Moses commanded, for a testimoniall vnto them.
"Ingatlah, janganlah engkau memberitahukan apa-apa tentang hal ini kepada siapapun, tetapi pergilah, perlihatkanlah dirimu kepada imam dan persembahkanlah untuk pentahiranmu persembahan, yang diperintahkan oleh Musa, sebagai bukti bagi mereka."
45 But when he was departed, hee began to tel many things, and to publish the matter: so that Iesus could no more openly enter into the citie, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from euery quarter.
Tetapi orang itu pergi memberitakan peristiwa itu dan menyebarkannya kemana-mana, sehingga Yesus tidak dapat lagi terang-terangan masuk ke dalam kota. Ia tinggal di luar di tempat-tempat yang sepi; namun orang terus juga datang kepada-Nya dari segala penjuru.
