Mark 10
1 And he arose from thence, and went into the coastes of Iudea by the farre side of Iordan, and the people resorted vnto him againe, and as he was wont, he taught them againe.
ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯ ಯೂದಾಯ ಪ್ರಾಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ತಿರುಗಿ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲು, ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ವಾಡಿಕೆಯಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು.
2 Then the Pharises came and asked him, if it were lawfull for a man to put away his wife, and tempted him.
ಫರಿಸಾಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಒಬ್ಬ ಪುರುಷನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವುದು ಧರ್ಮಸಮ್ಮತವೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
3 And he answered, and sayde vnto them, What did Moses commaund you?
ಯೇಸು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮೋಶೆಯು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
4 And they sayd, Moses suffered to write a bill of diuorcement, and to put her away.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು, “ವಿವಾಹ ವಿಚ್ಛೇದನ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅನುಮತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು,” ಎಂದರು.
5 Then Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, For the hardnesse of your heart he wrote this precept vnto you.
ಯೇಸು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮೋಶೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯ ಕಾಠಿಣ್ಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಬರೆದನು.
6 But at the beginning of the creation God made them male and female:
ಆದರೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಿಂದಲೇ ದೇವರು, ‘ಅವರನ್ನು ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.’
7 For this cause shall man leaue his father and mother, and cleaue vnto his wife.
‘ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಪುರುಷನು ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
8 And they twaine shalbe one flesh: so that they are no more twaine, but one flesh.
ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಶರೀರವಾಗಿರುವರು.’ ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಇಬ್ಬರಲ್ಲ, ಒಂದೇ ಶರೀರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
9 Therefore, what God hath coupled together, let not man separate.
ಆದಕಾರಣ ದೇವರು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅಗಲಿಸಬಾರದು,” ಎಂದರು.
10 And in the house his disciples asked him againe of that matter.
ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದೇ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದರು.
11 And he sayd vnto them, Whosoeuer shall put away his wife and marrie another, committeth adulterie against her.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾದರೆ, ಅವಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
12 And if a woman put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adulterie.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾದರೆ, ಅವಳು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವವಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
13 Then they brought litle children to him, that he should touch them, and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
ಕೆಲವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಯೇಸು ಮುಟ್ಟಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಜನರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿದರು.
14 But when Iesus sawe it, he was displeased, and said to them, Suffer the litle children to come vnto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdome of God.
ಯೇಸು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲು ಬಿಡಿರಿ. ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಇಂಥವರದೇ.
15 Verely I say vnto you, Whosoeuer shall not receiue the kingdome of God as a litle childe, he shall not enter therein.
ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗುವಿನಂತೆ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅವರು ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.
16 And he tooke them vp in his armes, and put his hands vpon them, and blessed them.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೇಸು ಆ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದರು.
17 And when hee was gone out on the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I doe, that I may possesse eternall life? (aiōnios g166)
ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಓಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರಿ, “ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಬೋಧಕರೇ, ನಾನು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು?” ಎಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. (aiōnios g166)
18 Iesus sayde to him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, euen God.
ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನೆಂದು ಏಕೆ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿ? ದೇವರೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರಲ್ಲ.
19 Thou knowest the comandements, Thou shalt not commit adulterie. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not steale. Thou shalt not beare false witnesse. Thou shalt hurt no man. Honour thy father and mother.
‘ನರಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು, ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು, ಕದಿಯಬಾರದು, ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಬಾರದು, ಮೋಸಮಾಡಬಾರದು, ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಬೇಕು,’ ಎಂಬ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿವೆಯಲ್ಲಾ,” ಎಂದರು.
20 Then he answered, and said to him, Master, all these things I haue obserued from my youth.
ಅವನು, “ಬೋಧಕರೇ, ನಾನು ಇವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಲ್ಯದಿಂದಲೇ ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
21 And Iesus looked vpon him, and loued him, and sayde vnto him, One thing is lacking vnto thee. Go and sell all that thou hast, and giue to the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come, follow me, and take vp the crosse.
ಯೇಸು ಅವನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಅವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇದೆ. ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಇರುವುದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಮಾರಿ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡು; ಆಗ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ನೀನು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸು,” ಎಂದರು.
22 But hee was sad at that saying, and went away sorowfull: for he had great possessions.
ಆ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಅವನು ವ್ಯಸನಗೊಂಡು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಆಸ್ತಿ ಇತ್ತು.
23 And Iesus looked round about, and sayd vnto his disciples, Howe hardly doe they that haue riches, enter into the kingdome of God!
ಯೇಸು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನೋಡಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ, “ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಕಷ್ಟ!” ಎಂದರು.
24 And his disciples were afraide at his words. But Iesus answered againe, and sayd vnto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches, to enter into the kingdome of God!
ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆರಗಾದರು. ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ತಿರುಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವುದು ಬಹಳ ಕಷ್ಟ.
25 It is easier for a camel to goe through the eye of a needle, then for a riche man to enter into the kingdome of God.
ಒಬ್ಬ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಂಟೆಯು ಸೂಜಿಯ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನುಗ್ಗುವುದು ಸುಲಭ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
26 And they were much more astonied, saying with themselues, Who then can be saued?
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ, “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಯಾರು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವವರು?” ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡರು.
27 But Iesus looked vpon them, and sayd, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯ,” ಎಂದರು.
28 Then Peter began to say vnto him, Loe, we haue forsaken all, and haue folowed thee.
ಪೇತ್ರನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
29 Iesus answered, and sayd, Verely I say vnto you, there is no man that hath forsaken house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my sake and the Gospels,
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಯಾರಾದರೂ ನನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮನೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಸಹೋದರಿಯರನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ತಂದೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಹೊಲವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ,
31 But many that are first, shall be last, and the last, first.
ಆದರೆ ಮೊದಲನೆಯವರಾದ ಅನೇಕರು ಕಡೆಯವರಾಗುವರು, ಕಡೆಯವರಾದವರು ಮೊದಲಿನವರಾಗುವರು,” ಎಂದರು.
32 And they were in the way going vp to Hierusalem, and Iesus went before them and they were troubled, and as they followed, they were afraide, and Iesus tooke the twelue againe, and began to tell them what things should come vnto him,
ಅವರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕರೆದು ತನಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು:
33 Saying, Beholde, we goe vp to Hierusalem, and the Sonne of man shall be deliuered vnto the hie Priests, and to the Scribes, and they shall condemne him to death, and shall deliuer him to the Gentiles.
“ಇಗೋ, ನಾವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವರು. ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವರು.
34 And they shall mocke him, and scourge him, and spit vpon him, and kill him: but the third day he shall rise againe.
ಇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿ, ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಗುಳಿ, ಕೊರಡೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕುವರು. ನಾನಾದರೋ ಮೂರು ದಿನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಜೀವಿತನಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವೆನು,” ಎಂದರು.
35 Then Iames and Iohn the sonnes of Zebedeus came vnto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest doe for vs that we desire.
ಆಗ ಜೆಬೆದಾಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಹಾನರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ಬೋಧಕರೇ, ನಾವು ಕೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ನೀವು ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದರು.
36 And he sayd vnto them, What would ye I should doe for you?
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
37 And they said to him, Graunt vnto vs, that we may sit, one at thy right hand, and the other at thy left hand in thy glory.
ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ನಮಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದರು.
38 But Iesus sayd vnto them, Ye knowe not what ye aske. Can ye drinke of the cup that I shall drinke of, and be baptized with the baptisme that I shall be baptized with?
ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ಏನೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದು. ನಾನು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವೂ ಕುಡಿಯುವಿರೋ? ನಾನು ಪಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನವನ್ನು ನೀವೂ ಪಡೆಯುವಿರೋ?” ಎಂದರು.
39 And they said vnto him, We can. But Iesus sayd vnto them, Ye shall drinke in deede of the cup that I shall drinke of, and be baptized with the baptisme wherewith I shalbe baptized:
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು, “ಹೌದು, ನಮ್ಮಿಂದಾಗುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ನೀವು ಕುಡಿಯುವಿರಿ. ನಾನು ಹೊಂದುವ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನವನ್ನು ನೀವೂ ಹೊಂದುವಿರಿ.
40 But to sit at my right hand, and at my left, is not mine to giue, but it shalbe giuen to them for whome it is prepared.
ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವುದು ನನ್ನದಲ್ಲ. ಅದು ಯಾರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆಯೋ ಅವರಿಗೇ ಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು,” ಎಂದರು.
41 And when the ten heard that, they began to disdaine at Iames and Iohn.
ಆ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಯಾಕೋಬ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಹಾನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡರು.
42 But Iesus called them vnto him, and sayd to them, Ye know that they which are princes among the Gentiles, haue domination ouer them, and they that be great among them, exercise authoritie ouer them.
ಯೇಸು ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಆಳುವವರು ಎಂದೆನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲದವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆಂದು ನೀವು ಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ.
43 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoeuer will be great among you, shall be your seruant.
ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಹಾಗಿರಬಾರದು. ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿರಲಿ.
44 And whosoeuer will be chiefe of you, shall be the seruant of all.
ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಪ್ರಮುಖನಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ದಾಸನಾಗಿರಲಿ.
45 For euen the Sonne of man came not to be serued, but to serue, and to giue his life for the raunsome of many.
ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನಾನು ಸಹ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಸೇವೆಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಅನೇಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಈಡಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
46 Then they came to Iericho: and as he went out of Iericho with his disciples, and a great multitude, Bartimeus the sonne of Timeus, a blinde man, sate by the wayes side, begging.
ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೊಡನೆಯೂ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಜನರೊಡನೆಯೂ ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟಾಗ ತಿಮಾಯನ ಮಗ ಕುರುಡ ಬಾರ್ತಿಮಾಯನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ಭಿಕ್ಷೆಬೇಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
47 And when hee heard that it was Iesus of Nazareth, he began to crye, and to say, Iesus the Sonne of Dauid, haue mercy on me.
ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅವನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಯೇಸುವೇ, ದಾವೀದನ ಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸು,” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
48 And many rebuked him, because he should holde his peace: but hee cryed much more, O Sonne of Dauid, haue mercy on me.
ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರುವಂತೆ ಅನೇಕರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಪಡಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ, “ದಾವೀದನ ಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸು,” ಎಂದು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಕೂಗಿದನು.
49 Then Iesus stood still, and commanded him to be called: and they called the blind, saying vnto him, Be of good comfort: arise, he calleth thee.
ಯೇಸು ನಿಂತು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಲು, ಅವರು ಆ ಕುರುಡನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, “ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರು, ಏಳು, ಯೇಸು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
50 So he threwe away his cloke, and rose, and came to Iesus.
ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಎದ್ದು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು.
51 And Iesus answered, and said vnto him, What wilt thou that I doe vnto thee? And the blinde sayd vnto him, Lord, that I may receiue sight.
ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೀನು ಕೋರುತ್ತೀ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, ಆ ಕುರುಡನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಗುರುವೇ, ನನಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣು ಕಾಣುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದನು.
52 Then Iesus sayde vnto him, Goe thy way: thy fayth hath saued thee. And by and by, he receiued his sight, and folowed Iesus in the way.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಹೋಗು, ನಿನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಪಡಿಸಿದೆ,” ಎಂದರು. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು, ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದನು.
