Luke 4
1 And Iesus full of the holy Ghost returned from Iordan, and was led by that Spirit into the wildernes,
Jesus aber, voll Heiligen Geistes, kehrte vom Jordan zurück und wurde durch [W. in [in der Kraft des]] den Geist in der Wüste vierzig Tage umhergeführt,
2 And was there fourtie dayes tempted of the deuil, and in those dayes he did eate nothing: but when they were ended, he afterward was hungry.
indem er von dem Teufel versucht wurde. Und er aß in jenen Tagen nichts; und als sie vollendet waren, hungerte ihn.
3 Then the deuil saide vnto him, If thou be the Sonne of God, commaund this stone that it be made bread.
Und der Teufel sprach zu ihm: Wenn du Gottes Sohn bist, so sprich zu diesem Steine, daß er Brot werde.
4 But Iesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not liue by bread only, but by euery word of God.
Und Jesus antwortete ihm und sprach: Es steht geschrieben: "Nicht von Brot allein soll der Mensch leben, sondern von jedem Worte Gottes". [5. Mose 8,3]
5 Then the deuill tooke him vp into an high mountaine, and shewed him all the kingdomes of the world, in the twinkeling of an eye.
Und der Teufel führte ihn auf einen hohen Berg und zeigte ihm in einem Augenblick alle Reiche des Erdkreises.
6 And the deuill saide vnto him, All this power will I giue thee, and the glory of those kingdomes: for that is deliuered to mee: and to whomsoeuer I will, I giue it.
Und der Teufel sprach zu ihm: Ich will dir alle diese Gewalt und ihre Herrlichkeit geben; denn mir ist sie übergeben, und wem irgend ich will, gebe ich sie.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship mee, they shalbe all thine.
Wenn du nun vor mir anbeten [O. huldigen; so auch v 8] willst, soll sie alle dein sein.
8 But Iesus answered him, and saide, Hence from mee, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him alone thou shalt serue.
Und Jesus antwortete ihm und sprach: Es steht geschrieben: "Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, anbeten und ihm allein dienen". [5. Mose 6,13]
9 Then hee brought him to Hierusalem, and set him on a pinacle of the Temple, and said vnto him, If thou be the Sonne of God, cast thy selfe downe from hence,
Und er führte ihn nach Jerusalem und stellte ihn auf die Zinne des Tempels [die Gebäude] und sprach zu ihm: Wenn du Gottes Sohn bist, so wirf dich von hier hinab;
10 For it is written, That hee will giue his Angels charge ouer thee to keepe thee:
denn es steht geschrieben: "Er wird seinen Engeln über dir befehlen, daß sie dich bewahren;
11 And with their handes they shall lift thee vp, least at any time thou shouldest dash thy foote against a stone.
und sie werden dich auf den Händen tragen, damit du nicht etwa deinen Fuß an einen Stein stoßest". [Ps. 91,11-12]
12 And Iesus answered, and said vnto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Es ist gesagt: "Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, nicht versuchen". [5. Mose 6,16]
13 And when the deuil had ended all the tentation, he departed from him for a litle season.
Und als der Teufel jede Versuchung vollendet hatte, wich er für eine Zeit [O. bis zu einer anderen Zeit] von ihm.
14 And Iesus returned by the power of the spirite into Galile: and there went a fame of him throughout all the region round about.
Und Jesus kehrte in der Kraft des Geistes nach Galiläa zurück, und das Gerücht über ihn ging aus durch die ganze Umgegend.
15 For he taught in their Synagogues, and was honoured of all men.
Und er lehrte in ihren Synagogen, geehrt von allen.
16 And hee came to Nazareth where hee had bene brought vp, and (as his custome was) went into the Synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stoode vp to reade.
Und er kam nach Nazareth, wo er erzogen war; und er ging nach seiner Gewohnheit am Sabbathtage in die Synagoge und stand auf, um vorzulesen.
17 And there was deliuered vnto him the booke of the Prophet Esaias: and when hee had opened the booke, hee founde the place, where it was written,
Und es wurde ihm das Buch des Propheten Jesaias gereicht; und als er das Buch aufgerollt hatte, fand er die Stelle, wo geschrieben war:
18 The Spirit of the Lord is vpon mee, because he hath anoynted me, that I should preach the Gospel to the poore: he hath sent mee, that I should heale the broken hearted, that I should preach deliuerance to the captiues, and recouering of sight to the blinde, that I should set at libertie them that are bruised:
"Der Geist des Herrn ist auf mir, weil er mich gesalbt hat, Armen gute Botschaft zu verkündigen; er hat mich gesandt, Gefangenen Befreiung auszurufen und Blinden das Gesicht, Zerschlagene in Freiheit hinzusenden,
19 And that I should preache the acceptable yeere of the Lord.
auszurufen das angenehme [O. wohlgefällige] Jahr des Herrn". [Jes. 61,1-2]
20 And hee closed the booke, and gaue it againe to the minister, and sate downe: and the eyes of all that were in the Synagogue were fastened on him.
Und als er das Buch zugerollt hatte, gab er es dem Diener zurück und setzte sich; und aller Augen in der Synagoge waren auf ihn gerichtet.
21 Then he began to say vnto them, This day is the Scripture fulfilled in your eares.
Er fing aber an, zu ihnen zu sagen: Heute ist diese Schrift vor euren Ohren erfüllt.
22 And all bare him witnes, and wondered at the gracious wordes, which proceeded out of his mouth, and said, Is not this Iosephs sonne?
Und alle gaben ihm Zeugnis und verwunderten sich über die Worte der Gnade, die aus seinem Munde hervorgingen; und sie sprachen: Ist dieser nicht der Sohn Josephs?
23 Then he said vnto them, Ye will surely say vnto mee this prouerbe, Physician, heale thy selfe: whatsoeuer we haue heard done in Capernaum, doe it here likewise in thine owne countrey.
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Ihr werdet allerdings dieses Sprichwort [Eig. Gleichnis] zu mir sagen: Arzt, heile dich selbst; alles, was wir gehört haben, daß es in Kapernaum geschehen sei, tue auch hier in deiner Vaterstadt.
24 And he saide, Verely I say vnto you, No Prophet is accepted in his owne countrey.
Er sprach aber: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, daß kein Prophet in seiner Vaterstadt angenehm [O. wohlgefällig] ist.
25 But I tell you of a trueth, many widowes were in Israel in the dayes of Elias, when heauen was shut three yeres and sixe moneths, when great famine was throughout all the land:
In Wahrheit aber sage ich euch: Viele Witwen waren in den Tagen Elias in Israel, als der Himmel drei Jahre und sechs Monate verschlossen war, so daß eine große Hungersnot über das ganze Land kam;
26 But vnto none of them was Elias sent, saue into Sarepta, a citie of Sidon, vnto a certaine widowe.
und zu keiner von ihnen wurde Elias gesandt, als nur nach Sarepta in Sidonia, zu einem Weibe, einer Witwe.
27 Also many lepers were in Israel, in the time of Eliseus the Prophet: yet none of them was made cleane, sauing Naaman the Syrian.
Und viele Aussätzige waren zur Zeit des Propheten Elisa in Israel, und keiner von ihnen wurde gereinigt, als nur Naaman, der Syrer.
28 Then all that were in the Synagogue, when they heard it, were filled with wrath,
Und alle wurden von Wut erfüllt in der Synagoge, als sie dies hörten.
29 And rose vp, and thrust him out of the citie, and led him vnto the edge of the hil, whereon their citie was built, to cast him downe headlong.
Und sie standen auf und stießen ihn zur Stadt hinaus und führten ihn bis an den Rand des Berges, auf welchem ihre Stadt erbaut war, um ihn so hinabzustürzen.
30 But he passed through the middes of them, and went his way,
Er aber, durch ihre Mitte hindurchgehend, ging hinweg.
31 And came downe into Capernaum a citie of Galile, and there taught them on the Sabbath dayes.
Und er kam nach Kapernaum hinab, einer Stadt in Galiläa, und lehrte sie an den Sabbathen.
32 And they were astonied at his doctrine: for his worde was with authoritie.
Und sie erstaunten sehr über seine Lehre, denn sein Wort war mit Gewalt.
33 And in the Synagogue there was a man which had a spirit of an vncleane deuill, which cryed with a loude voyce,
Und es war in der Synagoge ein Mensch, der einen Geist eines unreinen Dämons hatte, und er schrie auf mit lauter Stimme
34 Saying, Oh, what haue we to doe with thee, thou Iesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy vs? I know who thou art, euen the holy one of God.
und sprach: Laß ab! [O. Ha!] was haben wir mit dir zu schaffen, Jesu, Nazarener? Bist du gekommen, uns zu verderben? Ich kenne dich, wer du bist: der Heilige Gottes.
35 And Iesus rebuked him, saying, Holde thy peace, and come out of him. Then the deuill throwing him in the middes of them, came out of him, and hurt him nothing at all.
Und Jesus bedrohte ihn und sprach: Verstumme und fahre aus von ihm! Und als der Dämon ihn mitten unter sie geworfen hatte, fuhr er von ihm aus, ohne ihn zu beschädigen.
36 So feare came on them all, and they spake among themselues, saying, What thing is this: for with authoritie and power he commaundeth the foule spirits, and they come out?
Und Entsetzen kam über alle, und sie redeten untereinander und sprachen: Was ist dies für ein Wort? denn mit Gewalt und Kraft gebietet er den unreinen Geistern, und sie fahren aus.
37 And ye fame of him spred abroad throughout all the places of the countrey round about.
Und das Gerücht über ihn ging aus in jeden Ort der Umgegend.
38 And he rose vp, and came out of the Synagogue, and entred into Simons house. And Simons wiues mother was taken with a great feuer, and they required him for her.
Er machte sich aber auf von der Synagoge und kam in das Haus Simons. Die Schwiegermutter des Simon aber war von einem starken Fieber befallen; und sie baten ihn für sie.
39 Then he stoode ouer her, and rebuked the feuer, and it left her, and immediatly she arose, and ministred vnto them.
Und über ihr stehend, bedrohte er das Fieber, und es verließ sie; sie aber stand alsbald auf und diente ihnen.
40 Now at the sunne setting, all they that had sicke folkes of diuers diseases, brought them vnto him, and he layd his hands on euery one of them, and healed them.
Als aber die Sonne unterging, brachten alle, welche an mancherlei Krankheiten Leidende hatten, dieselben zu ihm; er aber legte einem jeden von ihnen die Hände auf und heilte sie.
41 And deuils also came out of many, crying, and saying, Thou art that Christ that Sonne of God: but he rebuked them, and suffered them not to say that they knewe him to be that Christ.
Und auch Dämonen fuhren von vielen aus, indem sie schrieen und sprachen: Du bist der Sohn Gottes. Und er bedrohte sie und ließ sie nicht reden, weil sie wußten, daß er der Christus war.
42 And when it was day, he departed, and went foorth into a desart place, and the people sought him, and came to him, and kept him that he should not depart from them.
Als es aber Tag geworden war, ging er aus und begab sich an einen öden Ort; und die Volksmenge suchte ihn auf und kam bis zu ihm, und sie hielten ihn auf, daß er nicht von ihnen ginge.
43 But he sayd vnto them, Surely I must also preach the kingdome of God to other cities: for therefore am I sent.
Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Ich muß auch den anderen Städten das Evangelium vom Reiche Gottes verkündigen, denn dazu bin ich gesandt worden.
44 And hee preached in the Synagogues of Galile.
Und er predigte in den Synagogen von Galiläa.
