Luke 24
1 Nowe the first day of the weeke early in the morning, they came vnto the sepulchre, and brought the odours, which they had prepared, and certaine women with them.
Pada hari Minggu, pagi-pagi sekali, wanita-wanita itu pergi ke kuburan membawa ramuan-ramuan yang sudah mereka sediakan.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre,
Di kuburan, mereka mendapati batu penutupnya sudah terguling.
3 And went in, but found not the body of the Lord Iesus.
Lalu mereka masuk ke dalam kuburan itu, tetapi tidak menemukan jenazah Tuhan Yesus di situ.
4 And it came to passe, that as they were amased thereat, beholde, two men suddenly stood by them in shining vestures.
Sementara mereka berdiri di situ dan bingung memikirkan hal itu, tiba-tiba dua orang dengan pakaian berkilau-kilauan berdiri dekat mereka.
5 And as they were afraide, and bowed downe their faces to the earth, they sayd to them, Why seeke ye him that liueth, among the dead?
Mereka ketakutan sekali, lalu sujud sampai ke tanah, sementara kedua orang itu berkata kepada mereka, "Mengapa kalian mencari orang hidup di antara orang mati?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake vnto you, when he was yet in Galile,
Ia tidak ada di sini. Ia sudah bangkit! Ingatlah apa yang sudah dikatakan-Nya kepadamu sewaktu Ia masih di Galilea,
7 Saying, that the sonne of man must be deliuered into the hands of sinfull men, and be crucified, and the third day rise againe.
bahwa 'Anak Manusia harus diserahkan kepada orang berdosa, lalu disalibkan, dan pada hari yang ketiga Ia akan bangkit.'"
8 And they remembred his wordes,
Maka teringatlah wanita-wanita itu akan kata-kata Yesus.
9 And returned from the sepulchre, and tolde all these things vnto the eleuen, and to all the remnant.
Setelah kembali dari kuburan itu, mereka menceritakan semua kejadian itu kepada kesebelas rasul dan semua pengikut yang lainnya.
10 Now it was Mary Magdalene, and Ioanna, and Mary the mother of Iames, and other women with them, which tolde these things vnto the Apostles.
Wanita-wanita yang memberitahukan semuanya itu kepada pengikut-pengikut Yesus, ialah: Maria Magdalena, Yohana dan Maria ibu Yakobus, serta wanita-wanita lainnya yang bersama-sama dengan mereka.
11 But their wordes seemed vnto them, as a fained thing, neither beleeued they them.
Tetapi rasul-rasul itu menyangka wanita-wanita itu hanya menceritakan yang bukan-bukan. Mereka tidak percaya cerita wanita-wanita itu.
12 Then arose Peter, and ran vnto the sepulchre, and looked in, and saw the linnen clothes laide by themselues, and departed wondering in himselfe at that which was come to passe.
Tetapi Petrus bangun dan berlari ke kuburan. Sambil membungkuk ia menengok ke dalam, lalu melihat hanya kain kafan di situ. Petrus heran sekali, lalu pulang dengan banyak pertanyaan di dalam hatinya mengenai apa yang telah terjadi.
13 And beholde, two of them went that same day to a towne which was from Hierusalem about threescore furlongs, called Emmaus.
Pada hari itu juga, dua orang pengikut Yesus sedang berjalan ke sebuah desa yang bernama Emaus, kira-kira sebelas kilometer jauhnya dari Yerusalem.
14 And they talked together of al these things that were done.
Sambil berjalan mereka bercakap-cakap tentang segala peristiwa yang telah terjadi itu.
15 And it came to passe, as they communed together, and reasoned, that Iesus himselfe drewe neere, and went with them.
Sementara mereka bercakap-cakap dan bertukarpikiran, Yesus sendiri datang dan berjalan bersama-sama mereka.
16 But their eyes were holden, that they could not know him.
Mereka melihat Yesus, tetapi ada sesuatu yang membuat mereka tidak mengenal Dia.
17 And he sayd vnto them, What maner of communications are these that ye haue one to another as ye walke and are sad?
Lalu Yesus berkata, "Apa yang kalian bicarakan di tengah jalan ini?" Mereka berhenti dengan muka sedih.
18 And the one (named Cleopas) answered, and sayd vnto him, Art thou onely a stranger in Hierusalem, and hast not knowen the things which are come to passe therein in these dayes?
Lalu seorang dari mereka, yang bernama Kleopas, bertanya kepada Yesus, "Bapakkah satu-satunya orang asing di Yerusalem yang tidak tahu peristiwa yang terjadi di sana akhir-akhir ini?"
19 And he said vnto them, What things? And they sayd vnto him, Of Iesus of Nazareth, which was a Prophet, mightie in deede and in word before God, and all people,
"Peristiwa apa?" tanya Yesus. "Peristiwa yang terjadi dengan Yesus, orang dari Nazaret itu," jawab mereka. "Ia nabi. Kata-kata-Nya dan perbuatan-perbuatan-Nya berkuasa sekali--baik menurut pandangan Allah maupun menurut pandangan semua orang.
20 And howe the hie Priests, and our rulers deliuered him to be condemned to death, and haue crucified him.
Imam-imam kepala dan pemimpin-pemimpin bangsa kita menyerahkan Dia untuk dihukum mati, dan mereka menyalibkan Dia!
21 But we trusted that it had bene he that should haue deliuered Israel, and as touching all these things, to day is ye third day, that they were done.
Padahal kami mengharap bahwa Dialah yang akan membebaskan Israel! Dan hari ini hari ketiga semenjak hal itu terjadi.
22 Yea, and certaine women among vs made vs astonied, which came early vnto the sepulchre.
Lagi pula, beberapa wanita dari kalangan kami telah membuat kami terkejut. Pagi-pagi sekali mereka ke kuburan,
23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seene a vision of Angels, which sayd, that he was aliue.
tetapi tidak menemukan jenazah-Nya di sana. Lalu mereka kembali dan berkata bahwa mereka melihat malaikat, dan malaikat-malaikat itu berkata bahwa Yesus hidup.
24 Therefore certaine of them which were with vs, went to the sepulchre, and found it euen so as the women had sayd, but him they saw not.
Beberapa orang dari kami lalu pergi ke kuburan dan mendapati bahwa apa yang dikatakan wanita-wanita itu memang demikian, hanya mereka tidak melihat Yesus."
25 Then he sayd vnto them, O fooles and slowe of heart to beleeue all that the Prophets haue spoken!
Lalu Yesus berkata kepada mereka, "Kalian memang bodoh! Terlalu lamban kalian untuk mempercayai semua yang sudah dikatakan para nabi!
26 Ought not Christ to haue suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
Bukankah Raja Penyelamat harus mengalami dahulu penderitaan itu, baru mencapai kemuliaan-Nya?"
27 And he began at Moses, and at all the Prophets, and interpreted vnto them in all the Scriptures the things which were written of him.
Kemudian Yesus menerangkan kepada mereka apa yang tertulis di dalam seluruh Alkitab mengenai diri-Nya, mulai dari buku-buku Musa dan buku para nabi.
28 And they drew neere vnto ye towne, which they went to, but he made as though hee would haue gone further.
Sementara itu mereka mendekati desa tujuan mereka. Yesus berbuat seolah-olah mau berjalan terus,
29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with vs: for it is towards night, and the day is farre spent. So he went in to tarie with them.
tetapi mereka menahan-Nya. "Tinggallah di tempat kami," kata mereka kepada-Nya, "sekarang sudah hampir malam dan sudah mulai gelap juga." Maka Yesus masuk untuk bermalam di tempat mereka.
30 And it came to passe, as hee sate at table with them, he tooke the bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gaue it to them.
Pada waktu duduk makan bersama mereka, Yesus mengambil roti, mengucap syukur kepada Allah, membelah-belah roti itu dengan tangan-Nya, lalu memberikannya kepada mereka.
31 Then their eyes were opened, and they knewe him: and he was no more seene of them.
Kemudian sadarlah mereka bahwa itu Yesus. Tetapi Ia lenyap dari pemandangan mereka.
32 And they saide betweene themselues, Did not our heartes burne within vs, while he talked with vs by the way, and when he opened to vs the Scriptures?
Kata mereka satu kepada yang lain, "Bukankah rasa hati kita seperti meluap, ketika Ia berbicara dengan kita di tengah jalan, dan menerangkan isi Alkitab kepada kita?"
33 And they rose vp the same houre, and returned to Hierusalem, and found the Eleuen gathered together, and them that were with them,
Saat itu juga mereka bangkit lalu kembali ke Yerusalem. Di sana mereka mendapati kesebelas pengikut Yesus sedang berkumpul bersama yang lain.
34 Which said, The Lord is risen in deede, and hath appeared to Simon.
Mereka itu berkata, "Memang benar Tuhan sudah hidup kembali! Ia telah memperlihatkan diri-Nya kepada Simon!"
35 Then they tolde what things were done in the way, and howe he was knowen of them in breaking of bread.
Kedua pengikut Yesus yang baru datang itu lalu menceritakan pengalaman mereka di tengah perjalanan, dan bagaimana mereka mengenali Tuhan pada saat Ia membelah-belah roti.
36 And as they spake these things, Iesus himselfe stoode in the middes of them, and saide vnto them, Peace be to you.
Sementara mereka masih bercerita, tiba-tiba Yesus sendiri berdiri di tengah-tengah mereka dan berkata, "Sejahteralah kalian!"
37 But they were abashed and afraide, supposing that they had seene a spirit.
Mereka terkejut dan ketakutan, karena menyangka mereka melihat hantu.
38 Then he saide vnto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore doe doutes arise in your hearts?
Tetapi Yesus berkata, "Mengapa kalian takut? Mengapa timbul keragu-raguan dalam hatimu?
39 Beholde mine handes and my feete: for it is I my selfe: handle me, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me haue.
Lihat tangan-Ku dan lihat kaki-Ku. Ketahuilah, bahwa Aku sendirilah ini! Rabalah dan perhatikanlah, karena hantu tidak mempunyai daging atau tulang, seperti yang kalian lihat pada-Ku."
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and feete.
Yesus berkata begitu sambil memperlihatkan kepada mereka tangan dan kaki-Nya.
41 And while they yet beleeued not for ioy, and wondred, he saide vnto them, Haue ye here any meate?
Dan sementara mereka masih belum dapat percaya, karena terlalu gembira dan heran, Yesus bertanya kepada mereka, "Apakah kalian punya makanan di sini?"
42 And they gaue him a piece of a broyled fish, and of an honie combe,
Mereka memberikan kepada-Nya sepotong ikan goreng.
43 And hee tooke it, and did eate before them.
Yesus mengambil ikan itu, lalu makan di depan mereka.
44 And he saide vnto them, These are the wordes, which I spake vnto you while I was yet with you, that all must be fulfilled which are written of me in the Lawe of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalmes.
Setelah itu Ia berkata kepada mereka, "Inilah hal-hal yang sudah Kuberitahukan kepadamu ketika Aku masih bersama-sama dengan kalian: bahwa setiap hal yang tertulis mengenai Aku di dalam Buku-buku Musa, Para Nabi, dan Mazmur, harus terjadi."
45 Then opened he their vnderstanding, that they might vnderstand the Scriptures,
Kemudian Yesus membuka pikiran mereka untuk mengerti maksud Alkitab.
46 And said vnto them, Thus is it written, and thus it behoued Christ to suffer, and to rise againe from the dead the third day,
Lalu Ia berkata kepada mereka, "Di dalam Alkitab tertulis bahwa Raja Penyelamat harus menderita, dan harus bangkit kembali dari kematian pada hari yang ketiga.
47 And that repentance, and remission of sinnes should be preached in his Name among all nations, beginning at Hierusalem.
Juga bahwa atas nama Raja Penyelamat itu haruslah diwartakan kepada segala bangsa bahwa manusia harus bertobat, dan bahwa Allah mengampuni dosa. Dan berita itu harus diwartakan mulai dari Yerusalem.
48 Nowe ye are witnesses of these things.
Kalianlah saksi-saksi dari semuanya itu.
49 And beholde, I doe sende the promise of my Father vpon you: but tary ye in the citie of Hierusalem, vntill ye be endued with power from an hie.
Dan Aku sendiri akan mengirim kepadamu apa yang sudah dijanjikan oleh Bapa. Tetapi kalian harus tetap menunggu di kota ini sampai kuasa dari Allah meliputi kalian."
50 Afterward he lead them out into Bethania, and lift vp his hands, and blessed them.
Setelah itu Yesus membawa mereka ke luar kota sampai Betania. Di situ Ia mengangkat tangan-Nya, lalu memberkati mereka.
51 And it came to passe, that as he blessed them, he departed from them, and was caried vp into heauen.
Sementara Ia melakukan itu, Ia terangkat ke surga, lalu terpisah dari mereka.
52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Hierusalem with great ioy,
Mereka sujud menyembah Dia, kemudian kembali ke Yerusalem dengan hati yang gembira sekali,
53 And were continually in the Temple, praysing, and lauding God, Amen.
dan terus memuji-muji Allah di Rumah Tuhan.
