Luke 17
1 Then said he to his disciples, It can not be auoided, but that offences will come, but wo be to him by whome they come.
૧ઈસુએ પોતાના શિષ્યોને કહ્યું કે, લોકો પાપ કરે એવી પ્રસંગ તો બનવાના જ, પણ જેનાંથી પાપ થાય છે તેને અફસોસ છે!
2 It is better for him that a great milstone were hanged about his necke, and that he were cast into ye sea, then that he should offende one of these litle ones.
૨કોઈ આ નાનાઓમાંના એકને પાપ કરવા પ્રેરે, એ કરતાં તેના ગળે ઘંટી નો પથ્થર બાંધીને તેને સમુદ્રમાં ડુબાડવામાં આવે, તે તેને માટે વધારે સારુ છે.
3 Take heede to your selues: if thy brother trespasse against thee, rebuke him: and if hee repent, forgiue him.
૩સાવચેત રહો; જો તમારો ભાઈ અપરાધ કરે, તો તેને ઠપકો આપો; અને જો તે પસ્તાવો કરે, તો તેને માફ કરો.
4 And though he sinne against thee seuen times in a day, and seuen times in a day turne againe to thee, saying, It repenteth mee, thou shalt forgiue him.
૪જો તે એક દિવસમાં સાત વાર અપરાધ કરે, અને સાત વાર તમારી તરફ ફરીને કહે કે, હું પસ્તાઉં છું, તો તેને માફ કરો.
5 And the Apostles saide vnto the Lord, Increase our faith.
૫પ્રેરિતોએ પ્રભુને કહ્યું કે, ‘અમારો વિશ્વાસ વધારો.’”
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith, as much as is a graine of mustard seede, and should say vnto this mulberie tree, Plucke thy selfe vp by the rootes, and plant thy selfe in the sea, it should euen obey you.
૬પ્રભુએ કહ્યું કે, ‘જો તમને રાઈના દાણા જેટલો વિશ્વાસ હોય તો તમે આ ગુલ્લર ઝાડને કહો કે અહીંથી ઊખડીને સમુદ્રમાં રોપાઈ જા તો તે તમારું માનશે.
7 Who is it also of you, that hauing a seruant plowing or feeding cattell, woulde say vnto him by and by, when hee were come from the fielde, Goe, and sit downe at table?
૭પણ તમારામાંનો એવો કોણ છે કે જેનો ચાકર ખેતર ખેડતો હોય અથવા ઘેટાં ચરાવતો હોય, અને તે ચાકર જયારે ખેતરમાંથી આવે, ત્યારે તેને કહે કે, આવીને તરત જમવા બેસ?
8 And woulde not rather say to him, Dresse wherewith I may suppe, and girde thy selfe, and serue mee, till I haue eaten and drunken, and afterward eate thou, and drinke thou?
૮તે કરતાં, શું તે એમ નહિ કહેશે કે, મારું ભોજન તૈયાર કર, અને હું ખાઈ પી રહું ત્યાં સુધી કમર બાંધીને મારી સેવા કર; અને તું પછી ખાજે પીજે?
9 Doeth he thanke that seruant, because hee did that which was commanded vnto him? I trowe not.
૯તે દાસે તેની આજ્ઞાઓ પાળી હોય તે માટે તે તેનો આભાર માને છે શું?
10 So likewise yee, when yee haue done all those things, which are commanded you, say, We are vnprofitable seruants: wee haue done that which was our duetie to doe.
૧૦તેમ જે આજ્ઞા તમને આપેલી છે તે સર્વ પાળ્યા પછી તમારે પણ એમ કહેવું કે, અમે નકામા ચાકરો છીએ, કેમ કે જે કરવાની અમારી ફરજ હતી એટલું જ અમે કર્યું છે.’”
11 And so it was when he went to Hierusalem, that he passed through the middes of Samaria, and Galile.
૧૧એમ થયું કે યરુશાલેમ જતા ઈસુ સમરુન તથા ગાલીલમાં થઈને જતા હતા.
12 And as hee entred into a certaine towne, there met him tenne men that were lepers, which stoode a farre off.
૧૨એક ગામમાં ઈસુએ પ્રવેશ કર્યો, એટલામાં રક્તપિત્તી દસ દર્દીઓ તેમને સામે મળ્યા. તેઓએ દૂર ઊભા રહીને
13 And they lift vp their voyces and saide, Iesus, Master, haue mercie on vs.
૧૩બૂમ પાડીને કહ્યું કે, ‘ઓ ઈસુ, સ્વામી, અમારા પર દયા કરો.’”
14 And when he saw them, he said vnto them, Goe, shewe your selues vnto the Priestes. And it came to passe, that as they went, they were clensed.
૧૪અને તેઓને જોઈને તેમણે તેઓને કહ્યું કે, ‘જાઓ, પોતાને યાજકોને બતાવો અને એમ થયું કે તેઓને રસ્તે ચાલતાં ચાલતાં શુદ્ધ કરવામાં આવ્યા.
15 Then one of them, when hee sawe that hee, was healed, turned backe, and with a loude voyce praised God,
૧૫તેઓમાંનો એક, પોતે સાજો થયો છે તે જોઈને, મોટા અવાજે ઈશ્વરનો મહિમા કરતાં પાછો વળ્યો.
16 And fell downe on his face at his feete, and gaue him thankes: and he was a Samaritan.
૧૬તેણે ઈસુને સાષ્ટાંગ દંડવત પ્રણામ કરીને તેમનો આભાર માન્યો; તે સમરૂની હતો.
17 And Iesus answered, and said, Are there not tenne clensed? but where are the nine?
૧૭ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપતાં કહ્યું કે, ‘શું દસે જણને શુદ્ધ કરાયા નહોતા? તો બીજા નવ ક્યાં છે?
18 There is none founde that returned to giue God praise, saue this stranger.
૧૮ઈશ્વરને મહિમા આપવાને પાછો આવે, એવો આ પરદેશી વિના અન્ય કોઈ નથી શું?
19 And he saide vnto him, Arise, goe thy way, thy faith hath saued thee.
૧૯ઈસુએ કહ્યું કે, ‘તું ઊઠીને ચાલ્યો જા; તારા વિશ્વાસે તને બચાવ્યો છે.’”
20 And when hee was demaunded of the Pharises, when the kingdome of God shoulde come, he answered them, and said, The kingdome of God commeth not with obseruation.
૨૦ફરોશીઓએ તેમને પૂછ્યું કે, ઈશ્વરનું રાજ્ય ક્યારે આવશે? ત્યારે તેમણે તેઓને ઉત્તર આપતા કહ્યું કે, ઈશ્વરનું રાજ્ય દૃશ્ય રીતે નથી આવતું.
21 Neither shall men say, Loe here, or lo there: for behold, the kingdome of God is within you.
૨૧વળી એમ નહિ કહેવામાં આવશે કે, જુઓ, આ રહ્યું! કે, પેલું રહ્યું! કેમ કે ઈશ્વરનું રાજ્ય તમારામાં છે.’”
22 And he saide vnto the disciples, The dayes will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the dayes of the Sonne of man, and ye shall not see it.
૨૨તેમણે શિષ્યોને કહ્યું કે, ‘એવા દિવસો આવશે કે માણસના દીકરાના દિવસોમાંના એકને તમે જોવાની ઇચ્છા રાખશો, પણ તમે જોઈ શકશો નહિ.
23 Then they shall say to you, Behold here, or beholde there: but goe not thither, neither follow them.
૨૩તેઓ તમને કહેશે હે ‘જુઓ, પેલો રહ્યો, જુઓ, આ રહ્યો, તમે જતા ના, અને એમની પાછળ ચાલતા ના.
24 For as the lightening that lighteneth out of the one part vnder heauen, shineth vnto the other part vnder heauen, so shall the Sonne of man be in his day.
૨૪કેમ કે વીજળી આકાશમાં ચમકે છે ને તે એક દિશાથી બીજી દિશા સુધી પ્રકાશે છે, તેમ માણસના દીકરાનું તેમના સમયમાં આગમન થશે.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be reprooued of this generation.
૨૫પણ તે પહેલાં તેમને ઘણું સહન કરવું પડશે, અને આ પેઢીથી તેમને નાપસંદ થવું પડશે.
26 And as it was in the dayes of Noe, so shall it be in the dayes of the Sonne of man.
૨૬અને જેમ નૂહના દિવસોમાં થયું, તેમ જ માણસના દીકરાના દિવસોમાં પણ થશે.
27 They ate, they dranke, they married wiues, and gaue in marriage vnto the day that Noe went into the Arke: and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
૨૭નૂહ વહાણમાં ગયો, અને જળપ્રલયે આવીને બધાનો વિનાશ કર્યો તે દિવસ સુધી તેઓ ખાતા, પીતા, પરણતા, પરણાવતા હતા.
28 Likewise also, as it was in the dayes of Lot: they ate, they dranke, they bought, they solde, they planted, they built.
૨૮તેમ જ લોતના દિવસોમાં પણ થયું, તેઓ ખાતા, પીતા, વેચાતું લેતા, આપતા, રોપતા, બાંધતા હતા;
29 But in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heauen, and destroyed them all.
૨૯પણ લોત સદોમમાંથી નીકળ્યો તે દિવસે આગ તથા ગંધક સ્વર્ગમાંથી વરસ્યાં, અને તેથી બધાનો વિનાશ થયો.
30 After these ensamples shall it be in the day when the Sonne of man is reueiled.
૩૦જે દિવસે માણસનો દીકરો પ્રગટ થશે તે દિવસે તે પ્રમાણે જ થશે.
31 At that day hee that is vpon the house, and his stuffe in ye house, let him not come downe to take it out: and he that is in the fielde likewise, let him not turne backe to that he left behinde.
૩૧તે દિવસે જેઓ ઘરની અગાશી પર હોય, તેઓએ સામાન લેવા સારુ નીચે ઊતરવું નહિ, અને જે ખેતરમાં હોય તેણે પણ ત્યાંથી પાછા આવવું નહિ.
32 Remember Lots wife.
૩૨લોતની પત્નીને યાદ કરો.
33 Whosoeuer will seeke to saue his soule, shall loose it: and whosoeuer shall loose it, shall get it life.
૩૩કેમ કે જે કોઈ પોતાનું જીવન બચાવવા ચાહે છે, તે તેને ગુમાવશે; પણ જે કોઈ તેને ગુમાવશે, તે તેને બચાવશે.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two in one bed: the one shalbe receiued, and the other shalbe left.
૩૪હું તમને કહું છું કે, તે રાત્રે એક પથારીમાં બે જણ સૂતા હશે; તેઓમાંના એકને લઈ લેવાશે અને બીજાને પડતો મુકાશે.
35 Two women shalbe grinding together: the one shalbe taken, and the other shalbe left.
૩૫બે સ્ત્રીઓ સાથે દળતી હશે; તેમાંથી એકને લઈ લેવાશે, અને બીજીને પડતી મૂકવામાં આવશે.
36 Two shalbe in the fielde: one shalbe receiued, and another shalbe left.
૩૬ખેતરમાં બે જણ હશે, તેઓમાંનો એક લેવાશે, અને બીજો પડતો મુકાશે,’
37 And they answered, and saide to him, Where, Lord? And he said vnto them, Wheresoeuer the body is, thither shall also the eagles bee gathered together.
૩૭અને તેઓએ તેમને ઉત્તર આપતાં કહ્યું કે, ‘પ્રભુ, ક્યાં?’ અને ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, ‘જ્યાં મૃતદેહ પડ્યો હશે ત્યાં ગીધો પણ એકઠાં થશે.’”
