Luke 15
1 Then resorted vnto him all the Publicanes and sinners, to heare him.
E chegavam-se a elle todos os publicanos e peccadores para o ouvir.
2 Therefore the Pharises and Scribes murmured, saying, Hee receiueth sinners, and eateth with them.
E os phariseos e os escribas murmuravam, dizendo: Este recebe peccadores, e come com elles.
3 Then spake hee this parable to them, saying,
E elle lhes propoz esta parabola, dizendo:
4 What man of you hauing an hundreth sheepe, if hee lose one of them, doeth not leaue ninetie and nine in the wildernesse, and goe after that which is lost, vntill he finde it?
Que homem d'entre vós, tendo cem ovelhas, e perdendo uma d'ellas, não deixa no deserto as noventa e nove, e não vae após a perdida até que venha a achal-a?
5 And when he hath found it, he laieth it on his shoulders with ioye.
E, achando-a, a põe sobre seus hombros, gostoso;
6 And when he commeth home, he calleth together his friendes and neighbours, saying vnto them, Reioyce with mee: for I haue founde my sheepe which was lost.
E, chegando a casa, convoca os amigos e visinhos, dizendo-lhes: Alegrae-vos comigo, porque já achei a minha ovelha perdida.
7 I say vnto you, that likewise ioy shall be in heauen for one sinner that conuerteth, more then for ninetie and nine iust men, which neede none amendment of life.
Digo-vos que assim haverá mais alegria no céu sobre um peccador que se arrependa do que sobre noventa e nove justos que não necessitam de arrependimento.
8 Either what woman hauing ten groates, if she lose one groate, doth not light a candle, and sweepe the house, and seeke diligently till shee finde it?
Ou qual a mulher que, tendo dez drachmas, se perder uma drachma, não accende a candeia, e não varre a casa, e não busca com diligencia até a achar?
9 And when shee hath found it, shee calleth her friendes, and neighbours, saying, Reioyce with me: for I haue found the groate which I had lost.
E, achando-a, convoca as amigas e visinhas, dizendo: Alegrae-vos comigo, porque já achei a drachma perdida.
10 Likewise I say vnto you, there is ioy in the presence of the Angels of God, for one sinner that conuerteth.
Assim vos digo que ha alegria diante dos anjos de Deus sobre um peccador que se arrepende.
11 He sayde moreouer, A certaine man had two sonnes.
E disse: Um certo homem tinha dois filhos;
12 And the yonger of them sayde to his father, Father, giue mee the portion of the goods that falleth to mee. So he deuided vnto them his substance.
E o mais moço d'elles disse ao pae: Pae, dá-me a parte da fazenda que me pertence. E elle lhes repartiu a fazenda.
13 So not many daies after, when the yonger sonne had gathered all together, hee tooke his iourney into a farre countrey, and there hee wasted his goods with riotous liuing.
E, poucos dias depois, o filho mais novo, ajuntando tudo, partiu para uma terra mui longe, e ali desperdiçou a sua fazenda, vivendo dissolutamente.
14 Nowe when hee had spent all, there arose a great dearth throughout that land, and he began to be in necessitie.
E, havendo elle já gastado tudo, houve n'aquella terra uma grande fome, e começou a padecer necessidade.
15 Then hee went and claue to a citizen of that conntrey, and hee sent him to his farme, to feede swine.
E foi, e chegou-se a um dos cidadãos d'aquella terra, o qual o mandou para os seus campos a apascentar os porcos.
16 And hee would faine haue filled his bellie with the huskes, that the swine ate: but no man gaue them him.
E desejava saciar o seu estomago com as bolotas que os porcos comiam, e ninguem lhe dava nada.
17 Then he came to him selfe, and said, Howe many hired seruaunts at my fathers haue bread ynough, and I die for hunger?
E, tornando em si, disse: Quantos jornaleiros de meu pae teem abundancia de pão, e eu pereço de fome!
18 I wil rise and goe to my father, and say vnto him, Father, I haue sinned against heaue, and before thee,
Levantar-me-hei, e irei ter com meu pae, e dir-lhe-hei: Pae, pequei contra o céu e perante ti;
19 And am no more worthy to be called thy sonne: make me as one of thy hired seruants.
Já não sou digno de ser chamado teu filho; faze-me como um dos teus jornaleiros.
20 So hee arose and came to his father, and when hee was yet a great way off, his father sawe him, and had compassion, and ranne and fell on his necke, and kissed him.
E, levantando-se, foi para seu pae; e, quando ainda estava longe, viu-o seu pae, e se moveu de intima compaixão, e, correndo, lançou-se-lhe ao pescoço e o beijou.
21 And the sonne sayde vnto him, Father, I haue sinned against heauen, and before thee, and am no more worthie to be called thy sonne.
E o filho lhe disse: Pae, pequei contra o céu e perante ti, e já não sou digno de ser chamado teu filho.
22 Then the father said to his seruaunts, Bring foorth the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feete,
Mas o pae disse aos seus servos: Trazei depressa o vestido melhor, e vesti-lh'o, e ponde-lhe um annel na mão, e alparcas nos pés;
23 And bring the fat calfe, and kill him, and let vs eate, and be merie:
E trazei o bezerro cevado, e matae-o; e comamos, e alegremo-nos;
24 For this my sonne was dead, and is aliue againe: and he was lost, but he is found. And they began to be merie.
Porque este meu filho era morto, e reviveu, tinha-se perdido, e é achado. E começaram a alegrar-se.
25 Nowe the elder brother was in the fielde, and when he came and drewe neere to the house, he heard melodie, and dauncing,
E o seu filho mais velho estava no campo; e quando veiu, e chegou perto de casa, ouviu a musica e as danças.
26 And called one of his seruaunts, and asked what those things meant.
E, chamando um dos servos, perguntou-lhe que era aquillo.
27 And hee sayde vnto him, Thy brother is come, and thy father hath killed the fatte calfe, because he hath receiued him safe and sound.
E elle lhe disse: Veiu teu irmão; e teu pae matou o bezerro cevado, porquanto o recuperou são e salvo.
28 Then he was angry, and would not goe in: therefore came his father out and entreated him.
Indignou-se, porém, elle, e não queria entrar. E, saindo o pae, o rogava.
29 But he answered and said to his father, Loe, these many yeeres haue I done thee seruice, neither brake I at any time thy commadement, and yet thou neuer gauest mee a kidde that I might make merie with my friends.
Mas, respondendo elle, disse ao pae: Eis que te sirvo ha tantos annos, e nunca transgredi o teu mandamento, e nunca me déste um cabrito para alegrar-me com os meus amigos;
30 But when this thy sonne was come, which hath deuoured thy good with harlots, thou hast for his sake killed the fat calfe.
Vindo, porém, este teu filho, que desperdiçou a tua fazenda com as meretrizes, mataste-lhe o bezerro cevado.
31 And he said vnto him, Sonne, thou art euer with me, and al that I haue, is thine.
E elle lhe disse: Filho, tu sempre estás comigo, e todas as minhas coisas são tuas;
32 It was meete that we shoulde make merie, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is aliue againe: and hee was lost, but he is found.
Portanto era justo alegrarmo-nos e folgarmos, porque este teu irmão era morto, e reviveu; e tinha-se perdido, e achou-se.
