Luke 11
1 And so it was, that as he was praying in a certaine place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said vnto him, Lord, teache vs to pray, as Iohn also taught his disciples.
Y aconteció que estando él orando en cierto lugar, como acabó, uno de sus discípulos le dijo: Señor, enséñanos a orar, como también Juan enseñó a sus discípulos.
2 And he said vnto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father, which art in heauen, halowed be thy Name: Thy kingdome come: Let thy will be done, euen in earth, as it is in heauen:
Y les dijo: Cuando orareis, decíd: Padre nuestro, que estás en los cielos, sea tu nombre santificado. Venga tu reino: sea hecha tu voluntad como en el cielo así también en la tierra.
3 Our dayly bread giue vs for the day:
El pan nuestro de cada día dános le hoy.
4 And forgiue vs our sinnes: for euen we forgiue euery man that is indetted to vs: And leade vs not into temptation: but deliuer vs from euill.
Y perdónanos nuestros pecados, porque también nosotros perdonamos a todos los que nos deben. Y no nos metas en tentación; mas líbranos de mal.
5 Moreouer he said vnto them, Which of you shall haue a friende, and shall goe to him at midnight, and say vnto him, Friende, lende mee three loaues?
Les dijo también: ¿Quién de vosotros tendrá un amigo, e irá a él a media noche, y le dirá: Amigo préstame tres panes,
6 For a friende of mine is come out of the way to me, and I haue nothing to set before him:
Porque un mi amigo ha venido a mí de camino, y no tengo que ponerle delante;
7 And hee within shoulde answere, and say, Trouble mee not: the doore is nowe shut, and my children are with mee in bed: I can not rise and giue them to thee.
Y él dentro respondiendo, diga: No me seas molesto: la puerta está ya cerrada, y mis niños están conmigo en la cama: no puedo levantarme, y darte.
8 I say vnto you, Though he would not arise and giue him, because he is his friende, yet doubtlesse because of his importunitie, hee woulde rise, and giue him as many as he needed.
Dígoos, que aunque no se levante a darle por ser su amigo, cierto por su importunidad se levantará, y le dará todo lo que habrá menester.
9 And I say vnto you, Aske, and it shall be giuen you: seeke, and yee shall finde: knocke, and it shalbe opened vnto you.
Y yo os digo: Pedíd, y se os dará: buscád, y hallaréis: tocád, y os será abierto.
10 For euery one that asketh, receiueth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shalbe opened.
Porque todo aquel que pide, recibe; y el que busca, halla; y al que toca, es abierto.
11 If a sonne shall aske bread of any of you that is a father, will he giue him a stone? or if hee aske a fish, will he for a fish giue him a serpent?
¿Y cuál padre de vosotros, si su hijo le pidiere pan, le dará una piedra? ¿o, si un pescado, en lugar de pescado le dará una serpiente?
12 Or if hee aske an egge, will hee giue him a scorpion?
¿O, si le pidiere un huevo, le dará un escorpión?
13 If yee then which are euill, can giue good giftes vnto your children, howe much more shall your heauenly Father giue the holy Ghost to them, that desire him?
Pues, si vosotros, siendo malos, sabéis dar buenas dádivas a vuestros hijos, ¿cuánto más vuestro Padre celestial dará el Espíritu Santo a los que le pidieren de él?
14 Then hee cast out a deuill which was domme: and when the deuill was gone out, the domme spake, and the people wondered.
También echó fuera un demonio, el cual era mudo: y aconteció, que salido fuera el demonio, el mudo habló, y las gentes se maravillaron.
15 But some of them said, He casteth out deuils through Beelzebub the chiefe of ye deuils.
Y algunos de ellos decían: Por Belzebú, príncipe de los demonios, echa fuera los demonios.
16 And others tempted him, seeking of him a signe from heauen.
Y otros, tentándo le, pedían de él una señal del cielo.
17 But he knew their thoughts, and said vnto them, Euery kingdom deuided against it self, shall be desolate, and an house deuided against an house, falleth.
Mas él, conociendo los pensamientos de ellos, les dijo: Todo reino dividido contra sí mismo es asolado; y casa dividida cae sobre casa.
18 So if Satan also bee deuided against himselfe, howe shall his kingdome stande, because yee say that I cast out deuils through Beelzebub?
Y si también Satanás está dividido contra sí, ¿cómo estará en pie su reino? porque decís, que por Belzebú echo yo fuera los demonios.
19 If I through Beelzebub cast out deuils, by whome doe your children cast them out? Therefore shall they be your iudges.
Pues si yo echo fuera los demonios por Belzebú, ¿vuestros hijos, por quién los echan fuera? por tanto ellos serán vuestros jueces.
20 But if I by ye finger of God cast out deuils, doutles the kingdome of God is come vnto you.
Mas si con el dedo de Dios yo echo fuera los demonios, cierto el reino de Dios ha llegado a vosotros.
21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, the thinges that hee possesseth, are in peace.
Cuando un hombre fuerte armado guarda su palacio, en paz está lo que posee.
22 But when a stronger then hee, commeth vpon him, and ouercommeth him: hee taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and deuideth his spoiles.
Mas si otro más fuerte que él sobreviniendo le venciere, le toma todas sus armas en que confiaba, y reparte sus despojos:
23 He that is not with me, is against me: and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth.
El que no es conmigo, contra mí es; y el que conmigo no coge, derrama.
24 When the vncleane spirite is gone out of a man, he walketh through drie places, seeking rest: and when he findeth none he saieth, I wil returne vnto mine house whence I came out.
Cuando el espíritu inmundo saliere del hombre, anda por lugares secos buscando reposo, y no hallándo lo, dice: Me volveré a mi casa, de dónde salí.
25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
Y viniendo, la halla barrida y adornada.
26 Then goeth hee, and taketh to him seuen other spirites worse then himselfe: and they enter in, and dwel there: so the last state of that man is worse then the first.
Entonces va, y toma otros siete espíritus peores que él, y entrados habitan allí; y son las postrimerías del tal hombre peores que las primerías.
27 And it came to passe as he sayde these thinges, a certaine woman of the companie lifted vp her voyce, and sayde vnto him, Blessed is the wombe that bare thee, and the pappes which thou hast sucked.
Y aconteció, que diciendo él estas cosas, una mujer de la multitud levantando la voz, le dijo: Bienaventurado el vientre que te trajo, y los pechos que mamaste.
28 But hee saide, Yea, rather blessed are they that heare the woorde of God, and keepe it.
Y él dijo: Antes bienaventurados los que oyen la palabra de Dios, y la guardan.
29 And when the people were gathered thicke together, he began to say, This is a wicked generation: they seeke a signe, and there shall no signe be giuen them, but the signe of Ionas the Prophet.
Y juntándose las multitudes a él, comenzó a decir: Esta generación mala es: señal busca, mas señal no le será dada, sino la señal de Jonás profeta.
30 For as Ionas was a signe to the Niniuites: so shall also the Sonne of man bee to this generation.
Porque como Jonás fue señal a los Ninivitas, así también será el Hijo del hombre a esta generación.
31 The Queene of the South shall rise in iudgement, with the men of this generation, and shall condemne them: for shee came from the vtmost partes of the earth to heare the wisedome of Salomon, and beholde, a greater then Salomon is here.
La reina del austro se levantará en juicio con los hombres de esta generación, y los condenará; porque vino de los fines de la tierra a oír la sabiduría de Salomón; y, he aquí, uno mayor que Salomón en este lugar.
32 The men of Niniue shall rise in iudgement with this generation, and shall condemne it: for they repented at the preaching of Ionas: and beholde, a greater then Ionas is here.
Los hombres de Nínive se levantarán en juicio con esta generación, y la condenarán; porque a la predicación de Jonás se arrepintieron; y, he aquí, uno mayor que Jonás en este lugar.
33 No man when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a priuie place, neither vnder a bushell: but on a candlesticke, that they which come in, may see the light.
Nadie pone en oculto una candela encendida, ni debajo de un almud; sino en el candelero, para que los que entran, vean la luz.
34 The light of the bodie is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, then is thy whole bodie light: but if thine eye be euill, then thy bodie is darke.
La luz del cuerpo es el ojo: si pues tu ojo fuere sencillo, también todo tu cuerpo será resplandeciente; mas si fuere malo, también tu cuerpo será tenebroso.
35 Take heede therefore, that the light which is in thee, be not darkenesse.
Mira pues, que la luz que en ti hay, no sea tinieblas.
36 If therefore thy whole body shall be light, hauing no part darke, then shall all be light, euen as when a candle doth light thee with the brightnesse.
Así que siendo todo tu cuerpo resplandeciente, no teniendo alguna parte de tiniebla, será todo luciente como cuando una luz de resplandor te alumbra.
37 And as hee spake, a certaine Pharise besought him to dine with him: and hee went in, and sate downe at table.
Y después que hubo hablado, le rogó un Fariseo que comiese con él; y entrado Jesús, se sentó a la mesa.
38 And when the Pharise saw it, he marueiled that he had not first washed before dinner.
Y el Fariseo como lo vio, se maravilló de que no se lavó antes de comer.
39 And the Lord saide to him, In deede yee Pharises make cleane the outside of the cuppe, and of the platter: but the inwarde part is full of rauening and wickednesse.
Y el Señor le dijo: Ahora vosotros los Fariseos lo de fuera del vaso y del plato limpiáis; mas lo que está dentro de vosotros, está lleno de rapiña y de maldad.
40 Ye fooles, did not he that made that which is without, make that which is within also?
¡Insensatos! ¿el que hizo lo de fuera, no hizo también lo de dentro?
41 Therefore, giue almes of those thinges which you haue, and beholde, all thinges shall be cleane to you.
Empero de lo que tenéis, dad limosna; y, he aquí, todo os será limpio.
42 But wo be to you, Pharises: for ye tithe the mynt and the rewe, and all maner herbs, and passe ouer iudgement and the loue of God: these ought yee to haue done, and not to haue left the other vndone.
Mas ¡ay de vosotros Fariseos! que diezmáis la menta, y la ruda, y toda hortaliza; mas el juicio y el amor de Dios pasáis de largo. Empero estas cosas era menester hacer, y no dejar las otras.
43 Wo be to you, Pharises: for ye loue the vppermost seats in the Synagogues, and greetings in the markets.
¡Ay de vosotros Fariseos! que amáis las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y las salutaciones en las plazas.
44 Wo be to you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites: for ye are as graues which appeare not, and the men that walke ouer them, perceiue not.
¡Ay de vosotros, escribas y Fariseos, hipócritas! que sois como sepulturas que no parecen, y los hombres que andan encima no lo saben.
45 Then answered one of the Lawyers, and saide vnto him, Master, thus saying thou puttest vs to rebuke also.
Y respondiendo uno de los doctores de la ley, le dice: Maestro, cuando dices esto, también nos afrentas a nosotros.
46 And he sayde, Wo be to you also, yee Lawyers: for yee lade men with burdens grieuous to be borne, and yee your selues touche not the burdens with one of your fingers.
Y él dijo: ¡Ay de vosotros también, doctores de la ley! que cargáis los hombres con cargas que no pueden llevar; mas vosotros, ni aun con un dedo tocáis las cargas.
47 Wo be to you: for ye builde the sepulchres of the Prophetes, and your fathers killed them.
¡Ay de vosotros! que edificáis los sepulcros de los profetas, y los mataron vuestros padres.
48 Truely ye beare witnesse, and allowe the deedes of your fathers: for they killed them, and yee build their sepulchres.
Cierto dais testimonio que consentís en los hechos de vuestros padres; porque a la verdad ellos los mataron, mas vosotros edificáis sus sepulcros.
49 Therefore said the wisedome of God, I wil sende them Prophets and Apostles, and of them they shall slaie, and persecute away,
Por tanto la sabiduría de Dios también dijo: Enviaré a ellos profetas y apóstoles, y de ellos a unos matarán, y a otros perseguirán.
50 That the blood of all the Prophets, shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation,
Para que de esta generación sea demandada la sangre de todos los profetas, que ha sido derramada desde la fundación del mundo:
51 From the blood of Abel vnto the blood of Zacharias, which was slaine betweene the altar and the Temple: verely I say vnto you, it shall be required of this generation.
Desde la sangre de Abel, hasta la sangre de Zacarías que murió entre el altar y el templo: En verdad os digo, será demandada de esta generación.
52 Wo be to you, Lawyers: for ye haue taken away the key of knowledge: ye entred not in your selues, and them that came in, ye forbade.
¡Ay de vosotros, doctores de la ley! que os alzasteis con la llave de la ciencia: vosotros no entrasteis, y a los que entraban impedisteis.
53 And as he sayde these things vnto them, the Scribes and Pharises began to vrge him sore, and to prouoke him to speake of many things,
Y diciéndoles estas cosas, los escribas y los Fariseos comenzaron a apretar le en gran manera, y a provocarle a que hablase de muchas cosas,
54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catche some thing of his mouth, whereby they might accuse him.
Asechándole, y procurando de cazar algo de su boca para acusarle.
