1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose sɛ, “Ka kyerɛ Israelfoɔ no sɛ,
2 Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, I am the Lord your God.
‘Mene Awurade mo Onyankopɔn,
3 After ye doings of the land of Egypt, wherin ye dwelt, shall ye not doe: and after the maner of the land of Canaan, whither I will bring you, shall ye not do, neither walke in their ordinances,
enti mommmɔ mo bra sɛ abosonsomfoɔ. Monnyɛ sɛ nnipa a na mo ne wɔn te wɔ Misraim anaa Kanaan wɔ baabi a mede mo rekɔ no. Monnsuasua wɔn.
4 But do after my iudgements, and keepe mine ordinances, to walke therein: I am the Lord your God.
Me mmara ne mʼahyɛdeɛ ara so na ɛsɛ sɛ modi; na ɛsɛ sɛ modi so pɛpɛɛpɛ, ɛfiri sɛ, mene Awurade mo Onyankopɔn.
5 Ye shall keepe therefore my statutes, and my iudgements, which if a man doe, he shall then liue in them: I am the Lord.
Sɛ modi so a, mobɛnya nkwa. Mene Awurade.
6 None shall come neere to any of ye kinred of his flesh to vncouer her shame: I am the Lord.
“‘Mo mu biara nni ho ɛkwan sɛ ɔware obusuani a ɔbɛn no. Mene Awurade.
7 Thou shalt not vncouer the shame of thy father, nor the shame of thy mother: for she is thy mother, thou shalt not discouer her shame.
“‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ abaayewa ware nʼagya anaasɛ ɔbabarima ware ne maame.
8 The shame of thy fathers wife shalt thou not discouer: for it is thy fathers shame.
“‘Anaa nʼagya yerenom mu bi.
9 Thou shalt not discouer the shame of thy sister the daughter of thy father, or the daughter of thy mother, whether shee bee borne at home, or borne without: thou shalt not discouer their shame.
“‘Anaa ne nuabaa anaa nʼagya babaa anaa ne maame babaa, sɛ wɔwoo no efie no mu anaa efie foforɔ mu.
10 The shame of thy sonnes daughter, or of thy daughters daughter, thou shalt not, I say, vncouer their shame: for it is thy shame.
“‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ moware mo nanabaa, sɛ ɔyɛ mo babarima babaa anaa mo babaa babaa, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ obusuani.
11 The shame of thy fathers wiues daughter, begotten of thy father (for she is thy sister) thou shalt not, I say, discouer her shame.
“‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ woware wo nuabaa a ɔyɛ wʼagya yerenom bi babaa.
12 Thou shalt not vncouer the shame of thy fathers sister: for she is thy fathers kinswoman.
“‘Anaa wo sewaa—wo agya nuabaa, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ wʼagya abusuani pɛɛ.
13 Thou shalt not discouer the shame of thy mothers sister: for she is thy mothers kinsewoman.
“‘Saa ara na ɛnsɛ sɛ woware wo maame a ɔyɛ wo maame nuabaa, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ wo maame abusuani pɛɛ.
14 Thou shalt not vncouer the shame of thy fathers brother: that is, thou shalt not goe in to his wife, for she is thine aunte.
“‘Wʼagya nuabarima yere nso, wonni ho ɛkwan sɛ woware no.
15 Thou shalt not discouer the shame of thy daughter in lawe: for she is thy sonnes wife: therefore shalt thou not vncouer her shame.
“‘Wonni ho ɛkwan sɛ woware wo babarima yere, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ wʼase.
16 Thou shalt not discouer the shame of thy brothers wife. for it is thy brothers shame.
“‘Saa ara nso na wontumi nnware wo nuabarima yere, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ wo nuabarima dea.
17 Thou shalt not discouer the shame of the wife and of her daughter, neither shalt thou take her sonnes daughter, nor her daughters daughter, to vncouer her shame: for they are thy kinsfolkes, and it were wickednesse.
“‘Worentumi nware ɔbaa bi nsane nware ne babaa anaa ne nanabaa nka ho, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔn nyinaa yɛ abusuafoɔ pɛɛ na ɛyɛ awudisɛm nso.
18 Also thou shalt not take a wife with her sister, during her life, to vexe her, in vncouering her shame vpon her.
“‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ woware anuanom mmaa baanu, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔbɛtwe kora. Na sɛ ɛba sɛ wo yere wu na woware ne nuabaa bi deɛ a, ɛyɛ.
19 Thou shalt not also go vnto a woman to vncouer her shame, as long as she is put apart for her disease.
“‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ wofa ɔbaa a wakɔ afikyire.
20 Moreouer, thou shalt not giue thy selfe to thy neighbours wife by carnall copulation, to be defiled with her.
“‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ wofa wo yɔnko yere de gu wo ho fi.
21 Also thou shalt not giue thy children to offer them vnto Molech, neither shalt thou defile the name of thy God: for I am the Lord.
“‘Mfa wo mma mu biara mma Molek na ɔmmfa no mmɔ afɔdeɛ wɔ n’afɔrebukyia so. Ngu wo Onyankopɔn din ho fi, ɛfiri sɛ, mene Awurade.
22 Thou shalt not lie with ye male as one lieth with a woman: for it is abomination.
“‘Ɔbarima a ɔne ne yɔnko barima da yɛ akyiwadeɛ kɛseɛ na ɛyɛ bɔne a ɛso nso.
23 Thou shalt not also lie with any beast to bee defiled therewith, neither shall any woman stand before a beast, to lie downe thereto: for it is abomination.
“‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔbarima fa aboa de gu ne ho fi. Saa ara nso na ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔbaa de ne ho ma aboanini ma ɔfa no. Ɛyɛ akyiwadeɛ kɛseɛ.
24 Yee shall not defile your selues in any of these things: for in al these the nations are defiled, which I will cast out before you:
“‘Monngu mo ho fi wɔ saa akwan ahodoɔ yi biara so na yeinom ne deɛ abosonsomfoɔ yɛ. Esiane sɛ wɔyɛ saa enti, merebɛyi wɔn afiri asase a morekɔ so no so.
25 And the land is defiled: therefore I wil visit the wickednesse thereof vpon it, and the lande shall vomit out her inhabitants.
Saa ahohwibra no agu ɔman mu no nyinaa ho fi; ɛno enti na meretwe nnipa a wɔte hɔ no aso na mɛyi wɔn afiri asase no so.
26 Ye shall keepe therefore mine ordinances, and my iudgements, and commit none of these abominations, aswell hee that is of the same countrey, as the straunger that soiourneth among you.
Ɛsɛ sɛ modi me mmara ne mʼahyɛdeɛ no nyinaa so pɛpɛɛpɛ na ɛnsɛ sɛ moyɛ saa akyiwadeɛ yi mu bi koraa. Saa mmara yi ka mo a wɔwoo mo Israelman mu ne ahɔhoɔ a wɔne mo te nyinaa.
27 (For all these abominations haue the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled:
Ampa ara, ɛfiri sɛ daa nnipa a wɔte saa asase a mede mo rekɔ so no so yɛ saa akyiwadeɛ yi enti, asase no ho agu fi.
28 And shall not the lande spue you out if ye defile it, as it spued out the people that were before you?)
Monnyɛ saa adeɛ no bi, anyɛ saa a, mɛpam mo afiri asase no so sɛdeɛ mɛyɛ wɔn a wɔte hɔ seesei no.
29 For whosoeuer shall commit any of these abominations, the persons that doe so, shall bee cut off from among their people.
“‘Obiara a ɔbɛyɛ akyiwadeɛ yi mu bi no, wɔbɛtwa no asuo afiri ɔman yi mu.
30 Therefore shall yee keepe mine ordinances that ye do not any of the abominable customes, which haue bene done before you, and that yee defile not your selues therein: for I am the Lord your God.
Enti monhwɛ sɛ mobɛdi me mmara no so na monnyɛ saa abusudeɛ kɛseɛ yi bi. Monnkɔyɛ abususɛm a wɔn a wɔte asase a morekɔ so no yɛ no bi mmfa ngu mo ho fi. Mene Awurade mo Onyankopɔn.’”
