Leviticus 17

1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

Wtedy PAN powiedział do Mojżesza:

2 Speake vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, and to all the children of Israel, and say vnto them, This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, saying,

Mów do Aarona i do jego synów, i do wszystkich synów Izraela i powiedz im: Oto co PAN nakazał:

3 Whosoeuer he be of the house of Israel that killeth a bullocke, or lambe, or goate in the hoste, or that killeth it out of the hoste,

Ktokolwiek z domu Izraela zabije wołu, owcę albo kozę w obozie lub zabije [je] poza obozem;

4 And bringeth it not vnto the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation to offer an offring vnto the Lord before the Tabernacle of the Lord, blood shalbe imputed vnto that man: he hath shed blood, wherefore that man shall be cut off from among his people.

A nie przyprowadzi tego przed wejście do Namiotu Zgromadzenia, aby złożyć w ofierze PANU przed przybytkiem PANA, to będzie on winien krwi, bo przelał krew. Ten człowiek zostanie wykluczony spośród swego ludu.

5 Therefore the children of Israel shall bring their offrings, which they would offer abroad in the fielde, and present the vnto ye Lord at the doore of the Tabernacle of ye Congregation by ye Priest, and offer them for peace offrings vnto the Lord.

Ma tak być, aby synowie Izraela przyprowadzili swoje ofiary, które [dotychczas] zabijali na polu, by przyprowadzili je do PANA przed wejście do Namiotu Zgromadzenia, do kapłana, i złożyli je jako ofiary pojednawcze PANU.

6 Then the Priest shall sprinkle the blood vpon the Altar of the Lord before the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and burne the fat for a sweete sauour vnto the Lord.

Kapłan pokropi krwią ołtarz PANA u wejścia do Namiotu Zgromadzenia, a tłuszcz spali jako miłą woń dla PANA.

7 And they shall no more offer their offerings vnto deuils, after whom they haue gone a whoring: this shalbe an ordinance for euer vnto them in their generations.

I nie będą już więcej składać swoich ofiar demonom, z którymi uprawiali nierząd. To będzie dla nich wieczna ustawa przez wszystkie ich pokolenia.

8 Also thou shalt say vnto them, whosoeuer he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which soiourne among them, that offreth a burnt offring or sacrifice,

Powiedz im jeszcze: Jeśli ktokolwiek z domu Izraela albo z przybyszów mieszkających wśród was będzie składał całopalenie [lub inną] ofiarę;

9 And bringeth it not vnto ye doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation to offer it vnto the Lord, euen that man shall be cut off from his people.

A nie przyprowadzi jej przed wejście do Namiotu Zgromadzenia, aby ją złożyć PANU, to człowiek ten będzie wykluczony ze swego ludu.

10 Likewise whosoeuer he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that soiourne among them, that eateth any blood, I will euen set my face against that person that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

A gdyby ktokolwiek z domu Izraela lub z przybyszów, którzy goszczą wśród was, spożywał jakąkolwiek krew, to zwrócę swoje oblicze przeciw człowiekowi, który spożywa krew, i wykluczę go spośród jego ludu.

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I haue giuen it vnto you to offer vpon the altar, to make an atonement for your soules: for this blood shall make an atonement for the soule.

Życie [wszelkiego] ciała bowiem jest we krwi. Ja dałem ją wam na ołtarz dla dokonywania przebłagania za wasze dusze, gdyż to krew dokonuje przebłagania za duszę.

12 Therefore I saide vnto ye children of Israel, None of you shall eate blood: neither the stranger that soiourneth among you, shall eate blood.

Dlatego powiedziałem synom Izraela: Żadna dusza wśród was nie będzie spożywała krwi ani żaden przybysz, który gości wśród was, nie będzie spożywał krwi.

13 Moreouer whosoeuer he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that soiourne among the, which by hunting taketh any beast or foule that may be eaten, he shall powre out the blood thereof, and couer it with dust:

I ktokolwiek z synów Izraela lub z przybyszów, którzy goszczą wśród was, upoluje jakieś zwierzę lub ptaka, które wolno jeść, to wypuści jego krew i przykryje ją piaskiem.

14 For ye life of all flesh is his blood, it is ioyned with his life: therefore I sayd vnto the children of Israel, Ye shall eate the blood of no flesh: for the life of al flesh is the blood thereof: whosoeuer eateth it, shalbe cut off.

Gdyż to [jest] życie wszelkiego ciała, krew [stanowi] jego życie. Dlatego powiedziałem synom Izraela: Krwi wszelkiego ciała spożywać nie będziecie, bo życiem wszelkiego ciała [jest] jego krew. Ktokolwiek ją spożywa, zostanie wytracony.

15 And euery person that eateth it which dyeth alone, or that which is torne with beastes, whether it be one of the same countrey or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and wash himselfe in water, and be vncleane vnto the euen: after he shalbe cleane.

Każda dusza, która spożywa zwierzę padłe lub rozszarpane, czy to rodowity mieszkaniec, czy przybysz, wypierze swoje szaty i obmyje się w wodzie, i będzie nieczysta aż do wieczora. Potem będzie czysta.

16 But if he wash them not, nor wash his flesh, then he shall beare his iniquitie.

Ale jeśli nie wypierze [swoich szat] ani nie obmyje swego ciała, obciąży się nieprawością.
