Jude 1
1 IVde a seruaunt of Iesus Christ, and brother of Iames, to them which are called and sanctified of God the Father, and returned to Iesus Christ:
ΙΟΥΔΑΣ δούλος Ιησού Χριστού, αδελφός δε Ιακώβου, προς τους κλητούς τους ηγιασμένους υπό Θεού Πατρός, και τετηρημένους υπό του Ιησού Χριστού
2 Mercie vnto you, and peace and loue be multiplied.
έλεος πληθυνθείη εις εσάς, και ειρήνη, και αγάπη.
3 Beloued, when I gaue al diligece to write vnto you of the common saluation, it was needful for me to write vnto you to exhort you, that yee should earnestly contend for the maintenace of ye faith, which was once giuen vnto the Saintes.
Αγαπητοί, επειδή καταβάλλω πάσαν σπουδήν να σας γράψω περί της κοινής σωτηρίας, έλαβον ανάγκην να σας γράψω, προτρέπων εις το να αγωνίζησθε δια την πίστιν, ήτις άπαξ παρεδόθη εις τους αγίους.
4 For there are certaine men crept in, which were before of olde ordeined to this condemnation: vngodly men they are which turne the grace of our God into wantonnesse, and denie God the onely Lord, and our Lord Iesus Christ.
Διότι εισεχώρησαν λαθραίως τινές άνθρωποι, οίτινες ήσαν παλαιόθεν προγεγραμμένοι εις ταύτην την καταδίκην, ασεβείς, μεταστρέφοντες την χάριν του Θεού ημών εις ασέλγειαν, και αρνούμενοι τον μόνον δεσπότην Θεόν και Κύριον ημών Ιησούν Χριστόν.
5 I wil therfore put you in remebrance, forasmuch as ye once knew this, how that the Lord, after that he had deliuered the people out of Egypt, destroied them afterward which beleeued not.
Θέλω δε να σας υπενθυμίσω, αν και σεις εγνωρίσατε ήδη τούτο, ότι ο Κύριος, αφού έσωσε τον λαόν εκ γης Αιγύπτου, απώλεσεν ύστερον τους μη πιστεύσαντας
6 The Angels also which kept not their first estate, but left their owne habitation, hee hath reserued in euerlasting chaines vnder darkenesse vnto the iudgement of the great day. (aïdios g126)
και αγγέλους οίτινες δεν εφύλαξαν την εαυτών αξίαν, αλλά κατέλιπον το ίδιον αυτών κατοικητήριον, εφύλαξε με παντοτεινά δεσμά υποκάτω του σκότους, δια την κρίσιν της μεγάλης ημέρας (aïdios g126)
7 As Sodom and Gomorrhe, and the cities about them, which in like maner as they did, committed fornication, and followed strange flesh, are set foorth for an ensample, and suffer the vengeance of eternall fire. (aiōnios g166)
καθώς τα Σόδομα και τα Γόμορρα, και αι πέριξ αυτών πόλεις, εις την πορνείαν παραδοθείσαι κατά τον όμοιον με τούτους τρόπον, και ακολουθούσαι οπίσω άλλης σαρκός, πρόκεινται παράδειγμα τιμωρούμεναι με το αιώνιον πυρ. (aiōnios g166)
8 Likewise notwithstanding these sleepers also defile the flesh, and despise gouernment, and speake euill of them that are in authoritie.
Ομοίως και ούτοι ενυπνιαζόμενοι, την μεν σάρκα μιαίνουσι, την δε εξουσίαν καταφρονούσι, και τα αξιώματα βλασφημούσιν.
9 Yet Michael the Archangell, when hee stroue against the deuill, and disputed about the body of Moses, durst not blame him with cursed speaking, but sayd, The Lord rebuke thee.
Ο δε Μιχαήλ ο αρχάγγελος, ότε αγωνιζόμενος με τον διάβολον εφιλονείκει περί του σώματος του Μωϋσέως, δεν ετόλμησε να επιφέρη εναντίον αυτού κατηγορίαν βλάσφημον, αλλ' είπεν, Ο Κύριος να σε επιτιμήση.
10 But these speake euill of those thinges, which they know not: and whatsoeuer things they know naturally, as beasts, which are without reason, in those things they corrupt them selues.
Ούτοι δε όσα μεν δεν εξεύρουσι βλασφημούσιν, όσα δε φυσικώς ως τα άλογα ζώα εξεύρουσιν, εις ταύτα φθείρονται.
11 Wo be vnto them: for they haue followed the way of Cain, and are cast away by the deceit of Balaams wages, and perish in the gainsaying of Core.
Ουαί εις αυτούς διότι περιεπάτησαν εις την οδόν του Κάϊν, και χάριν μισθού εξεχύθησαν εις την πλάνην του Βαλαάμ, και απωλέσθησαν εις την αντιλογίαν του Κορέ.
12 These are rockes in your feasts of charitie when they feast with you, without al feare, feeding themselues: cloudes they are without water, caried about of windes, corrupt trees and without fruit, twise dead, and plucked vp by ye rootes.
Ούτοι είναι κηλίδες εις τας αγάπας σας, συμποσιάζοντες αφόβως, βόσκοντες εαυτούς, νεφέλαι άνυδροι υπό ανέμων περιφερόμεναι, δένδρα φθινοπωρινά άκαρπα, δις αποθανόντα, εκριζωθέντα,
13 They are the raging waues of the sea, foming out their owne shame: they are wandring starres, to whome is reserued the blackenesse of darkenesse for euer. (aiōn g165)
κύματα άγρια θαλάσσης επαφρίζοντα τας ιδίας αυτών αισχύνας, αστέρες πλανήται, δια τους οποίους το ζοφερόν σκότος είναι τετηρημένον εις τον αιώνα. (aiōn g165)
14 And Enoch also the seuenth from Adam, prophecied of such, saying, Beholde, the Lord commeth with thousands of his Saints,
Προεφήτευσε δε περί τούτων και ο Ενώχ, έβδομος από Αδάμ, λέγων, "Ιδού, ήλθεν ο Κύριος με μυριάδας αγίων αυτού,
15 To giue iudgement against al men, and to rebuke all the vngodly among them of all their wicked deeds, which they haue vngodly committed, and of all their cruel speakings, which wicked sinners haue spoken against him.
δια να κάμη κρίσιν κατά πάντων, και να ελέγξη πάντας τους ασεβείς εξ αυτών, δια πάντα τα έργα της ασεβείας αυτών, τα οποία έπραξαν και δια πάντα τα σκληρά τα οποία ελάλησαν κατ' αυτού αμαρτωλοί ασεβείς."
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their owne lustes: Whose mouthes speake proud things, hauing mens persons in admiration, because of aduantage.
Ούτοι είναι γογγυσταί, μεμψίμοιροι, περιπατούντες κατά τας επιθυμίας αυτών και το στόμα αυτών λαλεί υπερήφανα, και κολακεύουσι πρόσωπα χάριν ωφωλείας.
17 But, yee beloued, remember the wordes which were spoken before of the Apostles of our Lord Iesus Christ,
Αλλά σεις, αγαπητοί, ενθυμήθητε τους λόγους τους προειρημένους υπό των αποστόλων του Κυρίου ημών Ιησού Χριστού,
18 How that they told you that there should be mockers in ye last time, which should walke after their owne vngodly lustes.
ότι σας έλεγον, ότι "εν εσχάτω καιρώ θέλουσιν είσθαι εμπαίκται, περιπατούντες κατά τας ασεβείς επιθυμίας αυτών."
19 These are they that separate them selues from other, naturall, hauing not the Spirit.
Ούτοι είναι οι αποχωρίζοντες εαυτούς, ζωώδεις, Πνεύμα μη έχοντες.
20 But, yee beloued, edifie your selues in your most holy faith, praying in the holy Ghost,
Σεις όμως, αγαπητοί, εποικοδομούντες εαυτούς επί την αγιωτάτην πίστιν σας, προσευχόμενοι εν Πνεύματι Αγίω,
21 And keepe your selues in the loue of God, looking for the mercie of our Lord Iesus Christ, vnto eternall life. (aiōnios g166)
φυλάξατε εαυτούς εις την αγάπην του Θεού, προσμένοντες το έλεος του Κυρίου ημών Ιησού Χριστού εις ζωήν αιώνιον. (aiōnios g166)
22 And haue compassion of some, in putting difference:
Και άλλους μεν ελεείτε, κάμνοντες διάκρισιν,
23 And other saue with feare, pulling them out of the fire, and hate euen that garment which is spotted by the flesh.
άλλους δε σώζετε μετά φόβου, αρπάζοντες αυτούς εκ του πυρός, μισούντες και τον χιτώνα τον μεμολυσμένον από της σαρκός.
24 Nowe vnto him that is able to keepe you, that ye fall not, and to present you faultlesse before the presence of his glorie with ioy,
Εις δε τον δυνάμενον να σας φυλάξη απταίστους, και να σας στήση κατενώπιον της δόξης αυτού αμώμους εν αγαλλιάσει,
