Joshua 3
1 Then Ioshua rose very earely, and they remoued from Shittim, and came to Iorden, he, and all the children of Israel, and lodged there, before they went ouer.
१यहोशवा पहाटेस ऊठला आणि सर्व इस्राएल लोकांसह शिट्टीमाहून निघून यार्देनतीरी आला आणि पलीकडे जाण्यापूर्वी ते तेथे राहिले.
2 And after three dayes the officers went throughout the hoste,
२तीन दिवसानंतर पुढारी छावणीच्या मध्य भागामधून गेले.
3 And commanded the people, saying, When ye see the Arke of the couenat of the Lord your God, and the Priestes of the Leuites bearing it, ye shall depart from your place, and goe after it.
३व त्यांनी लोकांस अशी आज्ञा केली की, “आमचा देव परमेश्वर याच्या कराराचा कोश याजक ऊचलून घेऊन जात असताना तुम्ही पाहाल तेव्हा हे ठिकाण सोडून त्यांच्या पाठोपाठ जा;
4 Yet there shalbe a space betweene you and it, about two thousande cubites by measure: ye shall not come neere vnto it, that ye may knowe the way, by the which ye shall goe: for ye haue not gone this way in times past.
४पण कोशाच्या व तुमच्यामध्ये मोजून सुमारे दोन हजार हात अंतर ठेवा; त्याच्या फार जवळ जाऊ नका, म्हणजे ज्या वाटेने तुम्हाला जायचे आहे ती तुम्हाला समजेल; कारण यापूर्वी या वाटेने तुम्ही कधी गेला नाही.”
5 (Nowe Ioshua had saide vnto the people, Sanctifie your selues: for to morowe the Lord will doe wonders among you)
५मग यहोशवा लोकांस म्हणाला, “शुद्ध व्हा, कारण उद्या परमेश्वर तुमच्यामध्ये आश्चर्यकारक कृत्ये करणार आहे.”
6 Also Ioshua spake vnto the Priestes, saying, Take vp the Arke of the couenant, and goe ouer before the people: so they tooke vp the Arke of the couenant, and went before the people.
६नंतर यहोशवा याजकांना म्हणाला, “कराराचा कोश उचलून घेऊन लोकांच्या पुढे चला,” त्याप्रमाणे ते कराराचा कोश उचलून घेऊन लोकांच्या पुढे चालू लागले.
7 Then the Lord saide vnto Ioshua, This day will I begin to magnifie thee in the sight of all Israel, which shall knowe, that as I was with Moses, so will I be with thee.
७परमेश्वर देव यहोशवाला म्हणाला, “आज मी सर्व इस्राएलाच्या नजरेसमोर तुझी थोरवी वाढविण्यास सुरुवात करीन, म्हणजे मी जसा मोशेबरोबर होतो तसाच तुझ्याबरोबरही आहे हे त्यांना समजून येईल.
8 Thou shalt therefore command the Priests that beare the Arke of the Couenant, saying, When ye are come to the brinke of the waters of Iorden, ye shall stande still in Iorden.
८कराराचा कोश वाहणाऱ्या याजकांना आज्ञा कर की, ‘जेव्हा तुम्ही यार्देनेच्या पाण्याच्या कडेला पोहचाल तेव्हा यार्देन नदीत स्थिर उभे राहा.”
9 Then Ioshua said vnto the children of Israel, Come hither, and heare the wordes of the Lord your God.
९मग यहोशवा इस्राएल लोकांस म्हणाला, “इकडे या! आणि देव परमेश्वर याची वचने ऐका!
10 And Ioshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the liuing God is among you, and that he will certainely cast out before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hiuites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Iebusites.
१०अशा प्रकारे तुम्हाला समजेल की, जिवंत देव तुमच्यामध्ये आहे, आणि कनानी, हित्ती, हिव्वी, परिज्जी, गिर्गाशी, अमोरी व यबूसी यांना तो तुमच्या समोरून घालवून देईल.
11 Beholde, the Arke of the couenant of the Lord of all the worlde passeth before you into Iorden.
११संपूर्ण पृथ्वीचा जो प्रभू त्याच्या कराराचा कोश तुमच्यासमोर पलीकडे जाण्यासाठी यार्देनेत प्रवेश करीत आहे.
12 Nowe therefore take from among you twelue men out of the tribes of Israel, out of euery tribe a man.
१२तर आता प्रत्येक वंशातील एक मनुष्य, अशी इस्राएल वंशातून बारा माणसे तुम्ही निवडा;
13 And assoone as the soles of the feete of the Priestes (that beare the Arke of the Lord God the Lord of all the worlde) shall stay in the waters of Iorden, the waters of Iorden shall be cut off: for the waters that come from aboue, shall stande still vpon an heape.
१३संपूर्ण पृथ्वीचा जो प्रभू परमेश्वर याच्या कराराचा कोश वाहणाऱ्या याजकांच्या पायांचे तळवे यार्देनेच्या पाण्याला लागताच वरून वाहत येणारे यार्देनेचे पाणी वाहण्याचे थांबून त्याचे दोन भाग होतील व त्याची रास उभी राहील.”
14 Then when the people were departed from their tentes to goe ouer Iorden, the Priestes bearing the Arke of the Couenant, went before people.
१४लोक यार्देनेपलीकडे जाण्यासाठी आपल्या तंबूतून निघाले तेव्हा कराराचा कोश वाहणारे याजक लोकांपुढे चालले.
15 And as they that bare the Arke came vnto Iorden, and the feete of the Priestes that bare the Arke were dipped in the brinke of the water, (for Iorden vseth to fill all his bankes all the time of haruest)
१५कराराचा कोश वाहणारे यार्देनेपाशी येऊन पोहचले आणि कोश वाहणाऱ्या याजकांचे पाय कडेच्या पाण्यात बुडाले. (कापणीच्या हंगामाच्या दिवसात यार्देन नदी दुथडी भरून वाहत असते.)
16 Then the waters that came downe from aboue, stayed and rose vpon an heape and departed farre from the citie of Adam, that was beside Zaretan: but the waters that came downe towarde the Sea of the wildernes, euen the salt Sea, failed, and were cut off: so the people went right ouer against Iericho.
१६तेव्हा जे पाणी वरून वाहत येत होते ते बऱ्याच अंतरावर म्हणजे सारतानाजवळील आदाम नगरापाशी साठून राहिले व त्याची रास उभी झाली, आणि जे पाणी अराबाचा समुद्र म्हणजे क्षारसमुद्र याकडे वाहत जात होते ते अगदी हटले; मग ते सर्व लोक यरीहोसमोर पार उतरून गेले.
17 But the Priestes that bare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, stoode drie within Iorden readie prepared, and all the Israelites went ouer dry, vntill all the people were gone cleane ouer through Iorden.
१७परमेश्वराच्या कराराचा कोश वाहणारे याजक यार्देनेच्या मध्यभागी कोरड्या जमिनीवरून पार निघून गेले. अशा प्रकारे सर्व इस्राएल राष्ट्र यार्देनेपलीकडे गेले.
