Jeremiah 8
1 At that time, sayeth the Lord, they shall bring out the bones of the Kings of Iudah, and the bones of their princes, and the bones of the Priests and the bones of the Prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Ierusalem out of their graues.
१परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो: त्यावेळी, ते यहूदातील राजांची प्रमुख नेत्यांची, याजकांची, संदेष्ट्यांची आणि यरूशलेममधील सर्व लोकांची हाडे कबरीतून बाहेर काढतील.
2 And they shall spread them before the sunne and the moone, and all the host of heauen, whom they haue loued, and whome they haue serued, and whome they haue followed, and whome they haue sought, and whome they haue worshipped: they shall not be gathered nor be buried, but shall be as doung vpon the earth.
२आणि चंद्र, सूर्य, आकाशातले तारे, ज्यांना ते अनुसरले आणि सेवा केली, ज्यांच्या ते मागे चालले आणि पूजन केले, त्यांच्यापुढे पसरतील, ती गोळा केल्या जाणार नाही किंवा पुरल्या जाणार नाही, ती पृथ्वीवर पसरलेल्या शेणखतासारखी असतील.
3 And death shall bee desired rather then life of all the residue that remaineth of this wicked familie, which remaine in all the places where I haue scattered them, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
३आणि या दुष्ट राष्ट्रातील जे उरलेले आहेत, ज्या प्रत्येक ठिकाणी मी त्यांना घालवले आहे, ते जिवनाच्या ऐवजी मृत्यू निवडतील, परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.
4 Thou shalt say vnto them also, Thus sayeth the Lord, Shall they fall and not arise? shall he turne away and not turne againe?
४तर त्यांना सांग: परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो: कोणी पडल्यास पुन्हा उठणार नाहीत काय? कोणी चुकीच्या मार्गाने गेला तर फिरुन मागे येण्याचा प्रयत्न करणार नाही काय?
5 Wherefore is this people of Ierusalem turned backe by a perpetuall rebellion? they gaue themselues to deceit, and would not returne.
५तर मग यरूशलेममधील लोक कायमचे अप्रामाणिकपणात का वळले आहेत? ते विश्वासघात करीत राहतात आणि पश्चाताप करण्यास नकार देतात.
6 I hearkened and heard, but none spake aright: no man repented him of his wickednesse, saying, What haue I done? euery one turned to their race, as the horse rusheth into the battell.
६मी त्यांचे बोलणे लक्षपूर्वक ऐकले आहे. ते योग्य ते बोलत नाहीत. कोणीही आपल्या केलेल्या वाईट कर्मांबद्दल ते क्षमा मागत नाहीत. जो असे म्हणतो, मी काय केले? असा कोणीएक नाही. तसा युद्धात घोडा धावतो तसे ते सर्व आपल्या मनात येईल तीथे जातात.
7 Euen the storke in the aire knoweth her appointed times, and the turtle and the crane and the swallowe obserue the time of their comming, but my people knoweth not the iudgement of the Lord.
७आकाशातील करकोचीसुद्धा वेळेची योग्य जाणीव असते. पारवे, निळवी व सारस ह्यांना आपल्या येण्याचा समय माहीत आहे पण माझ्या लोकांस, परमेश्वराचे वचन माहीत नाही.
8 Howe doe yee say, Wee are wise, and the Lawe of the Lord is with vs? Loe, certeinly in vaine made hee it, the penne of the scribes is in vaine.
८आमच्याजवळ परमेश्वराची शिकवण आहे म्हणून आम्ही शहाणे आहोत! असे तुम्ही म्हणता? कारण लेखकाच्या कपटी लेखणीने ते खोटे केले आहे.
9 The wise men are ashamed: they are afraid and taken. loe, they haue reiected the word of the Lord, and what wisdome is in them?
९शहाणे लाजवले गेले आहेत, ते निराशेत आहेत आणि पकडले गेले आहेत. पाहा, त्यांच्या शहाणपणाचा काय फायदा, जर त्यांनी परमेश्वराचे वचन नाकारले?
10 Therefore will I giue their wiues vnto others, and their fieldes to them that shall possesse them: for euery one from the least euen vnto the greatest is giuen to couetousnesse, and from the Prophet euen vnto the Priest, euery one dealeth falsely.
१०म्हणून मी त्यांच्या स्त्रिया दुसऱ्यांना देईन. त्यांची शेते जे त्यांना ताब्यात घेतील त्यांना देईन. कारण लहानापासून तर मोठ्यांपर्यंत, सर्वजण अति लोभी आहेत. संदेष्ट्या पासून याजकापर्यंत, सर्वांनी फसवणूक केली आहे.
11 For they haue healed the hurt of the daughter of my people with sweete woordes, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.
११काही शांती नसता ही, शांती, शांती, असे बोलून त्यांनी माझ्या लोकांच्या कन्येचे घाय वरवर बरे केले आहे.
12 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not ashamed, neither coulde they haue any shame: therefore shall they fall among the slaine: when I shall visite them, they shall be cast downe, sayeth the Lord.
१२त्यांनी केलेल्या दुष्कृत्यांबद्दल लाज वाटली का? नाही त्यांना लाज वाटली नाही. म्हणून पडणाऱ्यांना शिक्षा होत असता ते पण त्यांच्याबरोबर पडतील, असे परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
13 I wil surely consume them, sayth the Lord: there shalbe no grapes on the vine, nor figges on the figtree, and the leafe shall fade, and the things that I haue giuen them, shall depart from them.
१३परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, मी त्यांना पुर्णपणे काढून टाकीन, द्राक्षवेलीवंर एकही द्राक्ष नसेल, आणि अंजिराच्या झाडांवर एकही अंजिर नसेल, पाने सुकतील आणि जे काही त्यांना दिले आहे, ते त्यांच्यापासून निघून जाईल.
14 Why doe we stay? assemble your selues, and let vs enter into the strong cities, and let vs be quiet there: for the Lord our God hath put vs to silence and giuen vs water with gall to drinke, because we haue sinned against the Lord.
१४आपण येथे नुसतेच का बसलो आहोत? या भक्कम शहराकडे पळून जाऊ या आणि आम्ही मृत्यूमध्ये तिथे गप्प बसू परमेश्वर आमचा देव याने आम्हास गप्प केले आहे, कारण आम्ही त्याच्याविरुध्द पाप केले आहे, म्हणून त्याने आम्हांला विषारी पाणी प्यायला दिले आहे.
15 We looked for peace, but no good came, and for a time of health, and behold troubles.
१५आम्ही शांतीची आशा केली पण आम्हांला काहीच चांगले मिळाले नाही. तो आम्हास क्षमा करील असे आम्हास वाटले, पण पाहा! अरिष्टच आले.
16 The neying of his horses was heard from Dan, the whole lande trembled at the noyse of the neying of his strong horses: for they are come, and haue deuoured the land with all that is in it, the citie, and those that dwell therein.
१६त्यांच्या घोड्यांच्या फुरफुरण्याचा आवाज दानापासून ऐकण्यात आला आहे. त्याच्या शक्तीशाली घोड्यांच्या खिंकाळण्याच्या आवाजाने पुर्ण पृथ्वी थरथरली आहे. कारण ते भूमी व त्यावरील प्रत्येक गोष्टीचा नाश करण्यासाठी आले आहेत. ते नगराचा व त्यामध्ये राहणाऱ्या सर्व लोकांस नाश करण्यासाठी आले आहेत.
17 For beholde, I will sende serpents, and cockatrices among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall sting you, sayth the Lord.
१७कारण पाहा! मी नाग आणि फुरशे तुमच्यामध्ये पाठवीन. त्यांना आवरणे अशक्य आहे, ते तुम्हास दंश करतील. परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.
18 I would haue comforted my selfe against sorowe, but mine heart is heauie in me.
१८माझ्या दु: खण्याला काही अंत नाही आणि माझे अंत: करण अस्वस्थ आहे.
19 Behold, the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people for feare of them of a farre countrey, Is not the Lord in Zion? is not her king in her? Why haue they prouoked mee to anger with their grauen images, and with the vanities of a strange god?
१९पाहा! माझ्या लोकांच्या कन्येचा रडण्याचा आवाज फार दूर असलेल्या देशातून येतो. “परमेश्वर सियोनात नाही काय? किंवा तिचा राजा तिच्यामध्ये नाही काय?” मग त्यांनी आपल्या कोरलेल्या प्रतिमांनी आणि निरुपयोगी मूर्तींनी मला का क्रोध आणला आहे.
20 The haruest is past, the sommer is ended, and we are not holpen.
२०“सुगीचा हंगाम संपला, उन्हाळा सरला, पण आमचे तारण झाले नाही.”
21 I am sore vexed for the hurt of ye daughter of my people: I am heauie, and astonishment hath taken me.
२१माझ्या लोकांच्या कन्येच्या जखमेमुळे मी जखमी झालो आहे. तिच्या सोबत घडलेल्या भयानक गोष्टींमुळे मी शोकात आणि निराशेत आहे.
22 Is there no balme at Gilead? is there no Physition there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recouered.
२२गिलादमध्ये काही औषध नाही काय? तेथे वैद्य नाही काय? मग माझ्या लोकांच्या कन्येला आरोग्य का लाभले नाही.
