Jeremiah 6
1 O ye children of Beniamin, prepare to flee out of the middes of Ierusalem, and blowe the trumpet in Tekoa: set vp a standart vpon Beth-haccerem: for a plague appeareth out of the North and great destruction.
Flüchtet, ihr Kinder Benjamin, aus Jerusalem hinaus, und stoßet in die Posaune zu Tekoa, und errichtet ein Zeichen über Beth-Hakkerem; denn Unglück ragt herein von Norden her und große Zerschmetterung.
2 I haue compared the daughter of Zion to a beautifull and daintie woman.
Die Schöne und die Verzärtelte, die Tochter Zion, vertilge ich.
3 The pastors with their flockes shall come vnto her: they shall pitche their tentes rounde about by her, and euery one shall feede in his place.
Hirten kommen zu ihr mit ihren Herden; sie schlagen Zelte rings um sie auf, weiden ein jeder seinen Raum ab.
4 Prepare warre against her: arise, and let vs goe vp toward the South: wo vnto vs: for the day declineth, and the shadowes of the euening are stretched out.
“Heiliget einen Krieg wider sie! Machet euch auf und laßt uns am Mittag hinaufziehen! ...Wehe uns! Denn der Tag hat sich geneigt, denn die Abendschatten strecken sich.
5 Arise, and let vs goe vp by night, and destroy her palaces.
Machet euch auf und laßt uns in der Nacht hinaufziehen und ihre Paläste verderben!”
6 For thus hath the Lord of hostes said, Hewe downe wood, and cast a mounte against Ierusalem: this citie must be visited: all oppression is in the middes of it.
Denn so hat Jehova der Heerscharen gesprochen: Fället Bäume und schüttet einen Wall wider Jerusalem auf! Sie ist die Stadt, die heimgesucht werden soll; sie ist voll Bedrückung in ihrem Innern.
7 As the fountaine casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her malice: crueltie and spoyle is continually heard in her before me with sorowe and strokes.
Wie ein Brunnen sein Wasser quellen läßt, so läßt sie ihre Bosheit quellen. Gewalttat und Zerstörung werden in ihr gehört, Wunde und Schlag sind beständig vor meinem Angesicht.
8 Be thou instructed, O Ierusalem, lest my soule depart from thee, lest I make thee desolate as a land, that none inhabiteth.
Laß dich zurechtweisen, Jerusalem, damit meine Seele sich nicht von dir losreiße, damit ich dich nicht zur Wüste mache, zu einem unbewohnten Lande.
9 Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes, They shall gather as a vine, the residue of Israel: turne backe thine hande as the grape gatherer into the baskets.
So spricht Jehova der Heerscharen: Wie am Weinstock wird man Nachlese halten an dem Überrest Israels. Lege wieder deine Hand an, wie der Winzer an die Ranken.
10 Vnto whome shall I speake, and admonish that they may heare? beholde, their eares are vncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: beholde, the worde of the Lord is vnto them as a reproche: they haue no delite in it.
Zu wem soll ich reden und wem Zeugnis ablegen, daß sie hören? Siehe, ihr Ohr ist unbeschnitten, und sie können nicht aufmerken; siehe, das Wort Jehovas ist ihnen zum Hohn geworden, sie haben keine Lust daran.
11 Therefore I am full of the wrath of the Lord: I am weary with holding it: I will powre it out vpon the children in the streete, and likewise vpon the assembly of the yong men: for the husband shall euen be taken with the wife, and the aged with him that is full of daies.
Und ich bin voll des Grimmes Jehovas, bin müde, ihn zurückzuhalten. Ergieße ihn über die Kinder auf der Gasse und über den Kreis der Jünglinge allzumal; denn sowohl Mann als Weib werden getroffen werden, der Alte wie der Hochbetagte;
12 And their houses with their landes, and wiues also shalbe turned vnto strangers: for I will stretch out mine hande vpon the inhabitants of the land, sayeth the Lord.
und ihre Häuser werden anderen zugewandt werden, Felder und Weiber allzumal. Denn ich strecke meine Hand aus wider die Bewohner des Landes, spricht Jehova.
13 For from the least of them, euen vnto the greatest of them, euery one is giuen vnto couetousnesse, and from the Prophet euen vnto the Priest, they all deale falsely.
Denn von ihrem Kleinsten bis zu ihrem Größten sind sie insgesamt der Gewinnsucht ergeben; und vom Propheten bis zum Priester üben sie allesamt Falschheit,
14 They haue healed also ye hurt of the daughter of my people with sweete woordes, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.
und sie heilen die Wunde der Tochter meines Volkes leichthin und sprechen: Friede, Friede! Und da ist doch kein Friede.
15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not ashamed, no neither coulde they haue any shame: therefore they shall fall among the slaine: when I shall visite them, they shall be cast downe, sayth the Lord.
Sie werden beschämt werden, weil sie Greuel verübt haben. Ja, sie schämen sich keineswegs, ja, Beschämung kennen sie nicht. Darum werden sie fallen unter den Fallenden; zur Zeit, da ich sie heimsuchen werde, werden sie straucheln, spricht Jehova.
16 Thus sayeth the Lord, Stande in the waies and beholde, and aske for the olde way, which is the good way and walke therein, and yee shall finde rest for your soules: but they saide, We will not walke therein.
So spricht Jehova: Tretet auf die Wege, und sehet und fraget nach den Pfaden der Vorzeit, welches der Weg des Guten sei, und wandelt darauf; so werdet ihr Ruhe finden für eure Seelen. Aber sie sprechen: Wir wollen nicht darauf wandeln.
17 Also I set watchmen ouer you, which said, Take heede to the sound of the trumpet: but they said, We will not take heede.
Und ich habe Wächter über euch bestellt, die da sagen: Merket auf den Schall der Posaune! Aber sie sprechen: Wir wollen nicht darauf merken.
18 Heare therefore, yee Gentiles, and thou Congregation knowe, what is among them.
Darum höret, ihr Nationen, und wisse, du Gemeinde, was wider sie geschieht!
19 Heare, O earth, beholde, I will cause a plague to come vpon this people, euen the fruite of their owne imaginations: because they haue not taken heede vnto my woordes, nor to my Lawe, but cast it off.
Höre es, Erde! Siehe, ich bringe Unglück über dieses Volk, die Frucht ihrer Gedanken; denn auf meine Worte haben sie nicht gemerkt, und mein Gesetz sie haben es verschmäht.
20 To what purpose bringest thou mee incense from Sheba, and sweete calamus from a farre countrey? Your burnt offerings are not pleasant, nor your sacrifices sweete vnto me.
Wozu soll mir denn Weihrauch aus Scheba kommen, und das gute Würzrohr aus fernem Lande? Eure Brandopfer sind mir nicht wohlgefällig und eure Schlachtopfer mir nicht angenehm.
21 Therefore thus sayeth the Lord, Beholde, I will laie stumbling blockes before this people, and the fathers and the sonnes together shall fall vpon them: the neighbour and his friende shall perish.
Darum, so spricht Jehova: Siehe, ich lege diesem Volke Anstöße, daß Väter und Kinder darüber straucheln, daß der Nachbar und sein Genosse zumal umkommen.
22 Thus sayeth the Lord, Beholde, a people commeth from the North countrey, and a great nation shall arise from the sides of the earth.
So spricht Jehova: Siehe, es kommt ein Volk aus dem Lande des Nordens, und eine große Nation macht sich auf von dem äußersten Ende der Erde.
23 With bowe and shield shall they be weaponed: they are cruell and will haue no compassion: their voyce roareth like the sea, and they ride vpon horses, well appointed, like men of warre against thee, O daughter Zion.
Bogen und Wurfspieß führen sie, sie sind grausam und ohne Erbarmen; ihre Stimme braust wie das Meer, und auf Rossen reiten sie: gerüstet wider dich, Tochter Zion, wie ein Mann zum Kriege. -
24 We haue heard their fame, and our handes waxe feeble sorrowe is come vpon vs, as the sorrowe of a woman in trauaile.
Wir haben die Kunde von ihm vernommen: Unsere Hände sind schlaff geworden; Angst hat uns ergriffen, Wehen, der Gebärenden gleich. -
25 Goe not foorth into the fielde, nor walke by the way: for the sword of the enemie and feare is on euery side.
Geh nicht hinaus aufs Feld und wandle nicht auf dem Wege; denn der Feind hat ein Schwert, Schrecken ringsum!
26 O daughter of my people, girde thee with sackecloth, and wallowe thy selfe in the ashes: make lamentation, and bitter mourning as for thine onely sonne: for the destroier shall suddenly come vpon vs.
Tochter meines Volkes, gürte dir Sacktuch um und wälze dich in der Asche, trauere wie um den Eingeborenen, führe bittere Klage! Denn plötzlich wird der Verwüster über uns kommen.
27 I haue set thee for a defence and fortresse among my people, that thou maiest knowe and trie their waies.
Ich habe dich zum Prüfer unter meinem Volke gesetzt, als eine Feste, damit du ihren Weg erkennen und prüfen möchtest.
28 They are all rebellious traitours, walking craftily: they are brasse, and yron, they all are destroyers.
Allesamt sind sie die Widerspenstigsten der Widerspenstigen; sie gehen als Verleumder umher, sie sind Erz und Eisen; sie handeln verderbt allesamt.
29 The bellowes are burnt: the lead is consumed in the fire: the founder melteth in vaine: for the wicked are not taken away.
Versengt vom Feuer ist der Blasebalg, zu Ende ist das Blei; vergebens hat man geschmolzen und geschmolzen: Die Bösen sind nicht ausgeschieden worden.
30 They shall call them reprobate siluer, because the Lord hath reiected them.
Verworfenes Silber nennt man sie, denn Jehova hat sie verworfen.
