Jeremiah 52
1 Zedekiah was one and twentie yeere olde when he began to reigne, and he reigned eleuen yeeres in Ierusalem, and his mothers name was Hamutal, the daughter of Ieremiah of Libnah.
Veinte y un años tenía Sedecías cuando comenzó a reinar, y once años reinó en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre fue Hamital, hija de Jeremías, de Lobná.
2 And he did euil in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that Iehoiakim had done.
Hizo lo que era malo a los ojos de Yahvé, imitando en todo los procederes de Joakim.
3 Doubtlesse because the wrath of the Lord was against Ierusalem and Iudah, till he had cast them out from his presence, therefore Zedekiah rebelled against the King of Babel.
Por eso la ira de Yahvé contra Jerusalén y Judá llegó a tal punto que los arrojó de su presencia. Pues Sedecías se rebeló contra el rey de Babilonia,
4 But in the ninth yeere of his reigne, in the tenth moneth the tenth day of the moneth came Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel, he and all his hoste against Ierusalem, and pitched against it, and buylt fortes against it round about.
y entonces, el año noveno de su reinado, en el mes décimo, el diez del mes, vino Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, con todo su ejército, contra Jerusalén. Acamparon frente a ella y construyeron en torno a ella baluartes;
5 So the citie was besieged vnto the eleuenth yeere of the King Zedekiah.
y estuvo sitiada la ciudad hasta el año undécimo del rey Sedecías.
6 Now in the fourth moneth, the ninth day of the moneth, the famine was sore in ye citie, so that there was no more bread for ye people of the land.
En el mes cuarto, a nueve del mes, se apoderó el hambre de la ciudad, de modo que el pueblo del país carecía de pan.
7 Then the citie was broken vp and all the men of warre fled, and went out of the citie by night, by the way of the gate betweene the two walles, which was by the kings garden: (now the Caldeans were by the citie round about) and they went by the way of the wildernes.
Entonces al abrirse brecha en la ciudad, todos los hombres de guerra huyeron, saliendo de la ciudad de noche, por el camino de la puerta que está entre los dos muros, junto al jardín del rey, mientras los caldeos rodeaban la ciudad; y se fueron hacia el Arabá.
8 But the army of the Caldeans pursued after the king, and tooke Zedekiah in the desert of Iericho, and all his host was scattered from him.
Mas el ejército de los caldeos persiguió al rey; y alcanzaron a Sedecías en los llanos de Jericó, cuando todo su ejército andaba ya disperso lejos de él.
9 Then they tooke the king and caryed him vp vnto the king of Babel to Riblah in the lande of Hamath, where he gaue iudgement vpon him.
Capturaron al rey, y lo llevaron a Riblá situada en la tierra de Hamat, al rey de Babilonia, el cual pronunció sentencia contra él.
10 And the king of Babel slewe the sonnes of Zedekiah, before his eyes he slew also al ye princes of Iudah in Riblah.
El rey de Babilonia hizo degollar a los hijos de Sedecías, a la vista de este; y también a todos los príncipes de Judá los hizo degollar en Riblá.
11 Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and the king of Babel bound him in chaines, and caried him to Babel, and put him in pryson till the day of his death.
A Sedecías le hizo sacar los ojos y le puso grillos de bronce; y el rey de Babilonia lo llevó a Babilonia, donde lo tuvo encarcelado hasta el día de su muerte.
12 Now in the fift moneth in the tenth day of the moneth (which was the nineteenth yere of ye King Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel) came Nebuzar-adan chiefe steward which stoode before the king of Babel in Ierusalem,
En el mes quinto, el diez del mes, que fue el año diez y nueve del rey Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, Nabuzardán, capitán de la guardia y palaciego del rey de Babilonia, llegó a Jerusalén.
13 And burnt the House of the Lord, and the Kings house, and all the houses of Ierusalem, and all the great houses burnt he with fire.
Y abrasó la Casa de Yahvé y el palacio del rey; asimismo puso fuego a todas las casas de Jerusalén, y a todos los palacios.
14 And al the armie of the Caldeans that were with the chiefe steward, brake downe all ye walles of Ierusalem round about.
Y todo el ejército que estaba allí con el jefe de la guardia, derribó todos los muros que rodeaban a Jerusalén.
15 Then Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward caried away captiue certaine of the poore of the people, and the residue of the people that remayned in the citie, and those that were fled, and fallen to the king of Babel, with the rest of the multitude.
Parte de la gente pobre, y el resto del pueblo que había quedado en la ciudad, y los desertores que se habían pasado al rey de Babilonia, y los artesanos que quedaban, fueron deportados por Nabuzardán, capitán de la guardia.
16 But Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward left certaine of the poore of the lande, to dresse the vines, and to till the land.
Pero otra parte de los pobres del país los dejó Nabuzardán capitán de la guardia como viñadores y labradores.
17 Also the pillars of brasse that were in the House of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen Sea, that was in the house of ye Lord, the Caldeans brake, and caried all the brasse of them to Babel.
Los caldeos hicieron pedazos las columnas de bronce que había en la Casa de Yahvé, y las basas y el mar de bronce que estaban en la Casa de Yahvé, y se llevaron todo el bronce de ellos a Babilonia.
18 The pots also and the besomes, and the instruments of musicke, and the basins, and the incense dishes, and all the vessels of brasse wherewith they ministred, tooke they away.
Se llevaron también los calderos, las paletas, los cuchillos, los tazones, las cucharas, y todos los utensilios de bronce que se usaban para el culto.
19 And the bowles, and the ashpannes, and the basins, and the pots, and the candlestickes, and the incense dishes, and the cuppes, and all that was of golde, and that was of siluer, tooke the chiefe steward away,
El capitán de la guardia tomó igualmente las palanganas, los braseros, los tazones, los calderos, los candeleros, las cucharas y los platos; el oro de lo que era de oro, y la plata de lo que era de plata.
20 With the two pillars, one Sea, and twelue brasen bulles, that were vnder the bases, which King Salomon had made in ye house of ye Lord: the brasse of all these vessels was without weight.
En cuanto a las dos columnas, el mar y los doce bueyes de bronce que había debajo, y las basas que Salomón había hecho para la Casa de Yahvé, era imposible pesar el bronce de todos estos objetos.
21 And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteene cubites, and a threede of twelue cubites did compasse it, and the thicknesse thereof was foure fingers: it was holowe.
Las columnas tenían una altura de diez y ocho codos cada una, y un cordel de doce codos indicaba su circunferencia. Su grosor era de cuatro dedos y eran huecas.
22 And a chapiter of brasse was vpon it, and the height of one chapiter was fiue cubites with networke, and pomegranates vpon the chapiters round about, all of brasse: the seconde pillar also, and the pomegranates were like vnto these.
Había sobre cada una un capitel de bronce; el capitel de la primera tenía una altura de cinco codos y alrededor del capitel había una red y granadas, todo de bronce. Lo mismo la otra columna, con las granadas.
23 And there were ninetie and sixe pomegranates on a side: and all the pomegranates vpon the net worke were an hundreth round about.
Noventa y seis granadas eran visibles. Todas las granadas eran cien sobre la red, todo alrededor (del capitel).
24 And the chiefe steward tooke Sheraiah the chiefe Priest, and Zephaniah the seconde Priest, and the three keepers of the doore.
El capitán de la guardia tomó a Seraías, que era Sumo Sacerdote, y a Sofonías, el segundo sacerdote, y a los tres porteros.
25 Hee tooke also out of the citie an Eunuch, which had the ouersight of the men of warre, and seuen men that were in the Kings presence, which were founde in the citie, and Sopher captayne of the hoste who mustered the people of the lande, and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the middes of the citie.
De la ciudad tomó a un eunuco que era comandante del ejército, y siete hombres de la corte del rey, que fueron hallados en la ciudad, y al secretario del jefe del ejército, a cuyo cargo estaba el reclutamiento del pueblo del país, y sesenta hombres del pueblo del país que se encontraban en la ciudad.
26 Nebuzar-adan the chiefe stewarde tooke them, and brought them to the king of Babel to Riblah.
Los prendió Nabuzardán, capitán de la guardia, y los llevó al rey de Babilonia, a Riblá.
27 And the king of Babel smote them, and slewe them in Riblah, in the lande of Hamath: thus Iudah was caried away captiue out of his owne land.
Y el rey de Babilonia los entregó a la muerte en Riblá, en la tierra de Hamat. Y Judá fue deportado cautivo fuera de su país.
28 This is the people, whome Nebuchad-nezzar caried away captiue, in the seuenth yeere, euen three thousande Iewes, and three and twentie.
Este es el pueblo que deportó Nabucodonosor: El año séptimo, tres mil veinte y tres judíos;
29 In the eightenth yere of Nebuchad-nezzar he caried away captiue from Ierusalem eight hundreth thirtie and two persons.
el año diez y ocho de Nabucodonosor, ochocientas treinta y dos personas de Jerusalén.
30 In the three and twentieth yeere of Nebuchad-nezzar, Nebuzar-adan the chiefe stewarde caried away captiue of the Iewes seuen hundreth fourtie and fiue persons: all the persons were foure thousand and sixe hundreth.
El año veinte y tres de Nabucodonosor, Nabuzardán, capitán de la guardia, deportó setecientos cuarenta y cinco judíos; en total, cuatro mil seiscientos.
31 And in the seuen and thirtieth yeere of the captiuitie of Iehoiachin King of Iudah, in the twelfth moneth, in the fiue and twentieth day of the moneth, Euil-merodach King of Babel, in the first yeere of his reigne, lifted vp the head of Iehoiachin King of Iudah, and brought him out of pryson,
El año treinta y siete del cautiverio de Jeconías, rey de Judá, en el duodécimo mes, el veinte y cinco del mes, Evil-Merodac, rey de Babilonia, en el primer año de su reinado, levantó la cabeza de Jeconías, rey de Judá, y le sacó de la cárcel.
32 And spake kindly vnto him, and set his throne aboue the throne of the Kings, that were with him in Babel,
Habló con él amistosamente, y puso su trono sobre los tronos de los reyes que tenía consigo en Babilonia.
33 And changed his pryson garmentes, and he did continually eate bread before him all the dayes of his life.
También le mudó los vestidos de cárcel, y (Jeconías) comió siempre en su presencia, todos los días de su vida.
34 His porcion was a continuall portion giuen him of ye king of Babel, euery day a certaine, all the dayes of his life vntill he died.
Para su sustento, el rey de Babilonia le asignó una manutención perpetua, cada día una ración fija, hasta el día de su muerte, todos los días de su vida.
