Jeremiah 49
1 Unto the children of Ammon thus saith the Lord, Hath Israel no sonnes? or hath he none heire? Why then hath their king possessed God? and his people dwelt in his cities?
| خداوند دربارهٔ عمونی‌ها چنین می‌فرماید: «ای شما که بت ملکوم را می‌پرستید، چرا شهرهای قبیلهٔ جاد را تصرف کرده‌اید و در آنها ساکن شده‌اید؟ مگر تعداد بنی‌اسرائیل برای پر کردن این شهرها کافی نمی‌باشد؟ آیا کسی نیست که از این شهرها دفاع کند؟ |
2 Therefore beholde the dayes come, sayeth the Lord, that I will cause a noyse of warre to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites, and it shall be a desolate heape, and her daughters shall be burnt with fire: then shall Israel possesse those that possessed him, sayeth the Lord.
| بنابراین روزی خواهد رسید که شما را برای این کار، مجازات خواهم کرد و پایتخت شما، ربه را ویران خواهم نمود. ربه با خاک یکسان خواهد شد و آبادی‌های اطرافش در آتش خواهد سوخت. آنگاه بنی‌اسرائیل خواهند آمد و زمینهای خود را دوباره تصاحب خواهند نمود. همان‌گونه که دیگران را بی‌خانمان کردید، شما را بی‌خانمان خواهند ساخت. |
3 Howle, O Heshbon, for Ai is wasted: crie ye daughters of Rabbah: girde you with sackecloth: mourne and runne to and from by the hedges: for their King shall goe into captiuitie; and his Priestes, and his princes likewise.
| «ای مردم حشبون ناله کنید، زیرا عای ویران شده است! ای دختران ربه گریه کنید و لباس عزا بپوشید! ماتم بگیرید و پریشانحال به این سو و آن سو بدوید؛ چون بت شما ملکوم با تمام کاهنان و بزرگانش به تبعید برده خواهد شد. |
4 Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleis? thy valley floweth away, O rebellious daughter: she trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come vnto me?
| ای قوم ناسپاس، شما به دره‌های حاصلخیزتان می‌بالید، ولی همگی آنها به‌زودی نابود خواهند شد. شما به قدرت خود تکیه می‌کنید و گمان می‌برید هرگز کسی جرأت نخواهد کرد به شما حمله کند. |
5 Beholde, I will bring a feare vpon thee, sayth the Lord God of hostes, of all those that be about thee, and ye shalbe scattered euery man right foorth, and none shall gather him that fleeth.
| ولی من، خداوند لشکرهای آسمان، شما را از هر سو به وحشت خواهم انداخت، زیرا قومهای همسایه، شما را از سرزمین‌تان بیرون خواهند نمود و کسی نخواهد بود که فراریان را دوباره جمع کند. |
6 And afterward I will bring againe the captiuitie of the children of Ammon.
| ولی در آینده بار دیگر کامیابی را به عمونی‌ها باز خواهم گرداند. من، خداوند، این را می‌گویم.» |
7 To Edom thus sayeth the Lord of hostes: Is wisdome no more in Teman? is counsel perished from their children? is their wisdome vanished?
| خداوند لشکرهای آسمان به ادومی‌ها چنین می‌فرماید: «آن مردان حکیم و دانای شما کجا هستند؟ آیا در تمام شهر تیمان یکی نیز باقی نمانده است؟ |
8 Flee, ye inhabitants of Dedan (they are turned backe, and haue consulted to dwell) for I haue brought the destruction of Esau vpon him, and the time of his visitation.
| ای مردم ددان، به دورترین نقاط صحرا فرار کنید، چون وقتی ادوم را مجازات کنم، شما را هم مجازات خواهم نمود! |
9 If the grape gatherers come to thee, would they not leaue some grapes? if theeues come by night, they will destroy till they haue ynough.
| آنانی که انگور می‌چینند مقدار کمی هم برای فقرا باقی می‌گذارند؛ حتی دزدها نیز همه چیز را نمی‌برند! ولی من سرزمین عیسو را تماماً غارت خواهم کرد؛ مخفیگاههایش را نیز آشکار خواهم ساخت تا جایی برای پنهان شدن باقی نماند. فرزندان، برادران و همسایگان او همه نابود خواهند شد؛ خودش نیز از بین خواهد رفت. |
10 For I haue discouered Esau: I haue vncouered his secrets, and he shall not be able to hide himselfe: his seede is wasted, and his brethren and his neighbours, and there shall be none to say,
11 Leaue thy fathers children, and I will preserue them aliue, and let thy widowes trust in me.
| اما من از کودکان یتیم نگهداری خواهم کرد و چشم امید بیوه‌هایتان به من خواهد بود.» |
12 For thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, they whose iudgement was not to drinke of the cuppe, haue assuredly drunken, and art thou he that shall escape free? thou shalt not goe free, but thou shalt surely drinke of it.
| زیرا خداوند چنین می‌گوید: «اگر شخص بی‌گناه، رنج و زحمت می‌بیند، چقدر بیشتر تو! زیرا تو بی‌سزا نخواهی ماند بلکه به‌یقین جام مجازات را خواهی نوشید! |
13 For I haue sworne by my selfe, sayeth the Lord, that Bozrah shall be waste, and for a reproche, and a desolation, and a curse, and all the cities thereof shall be perpetuall desolations.
| من به نام خود قسم خورده‌ام که شهر بصره با خاک یکسان شده، باعث ترس خواهد گردید و همچنین مورد نفرین و تمسخر قرار خواهد گرفت و دهات اطرافش برای همیشه خرابه باقی خواهد ماند.» |
14 I haue heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassadour is sent vnto the heathen, saying, Gather you together, and come against her, and rise vp to the battell.
| این خبر از جانب خداوند به من رسید: «سفیری نزد قومها خواهم فرستاد تا از آنها دعوت کند که علیه ادوم متحد شوند و آن را از بین ببرند. |
15 For loe, I will make thee but small among the heathen, and despised among men.
| من ادوم را در میان قومها و مردم، کوچک و خوار خواهم ساخت! |
16 Thy feare, and ye pride of thine heart hath deceiued thee, thou that dwellest in the cleftes of the rocke, and keepest the height of ye hil: though thou shouldest make thy nest as hie as the eagle, I wil bring thee downe from thece, sayth the Lord.
| ای ادوم، که در کوهها و در شکاف صخره‌ها ساکن هستی، شهرت و غرور، فریبت داده است. اگرچه آشیانه‌ات مثل عقاب بر قلۀ کوهها باشد، تو را از آنجا به زیر خواهم کشید.» |
17 Also Edom shall be desolate: euery one that goeth by it, shall be astonished, and shall hisse at all the plagues thereof,
| خداوند می‌فرماید: «سرنوشت ادوم وحشتناک است! هر که از آنجا عبور کند، از دیدنش مبهوت شده، به وحشت خواهد افتاد. |
18 As in the ouerthrowe of Sodom, and of Gomorah, and the places thereof neere about, saieth the Lord: no man shall dwell there, neither shall the sonnes of men remaine in it.
| شهرها و آبادی‌های اطراف آن، مثل شهرهای سدوم و عموره خاموش و بی‌صدا خواهند شد؛ دیگر کسی در آنجا زندگی نخواهد کرد. |
19 Beholde, hee shall come vp like a lyon from the swelling of Iorden vnto the strong dwelling place: for I will make Israel to rest, euen I will make him to haste away from her, and who is a chosen man that I may appoynt against her? for who is like mee? and who will appoint me the time? and who is the shepheard that will stande before me?
| همان‌گونه که شیری از جنگلهای اردن بیرون می‌آید و ناگهان به گوسفندان در حال چریدن هجوم می‌آورد، من نیز ناگهان بر ادومی‌ها هجوم آورده، ایشان را از سرزمینشان بیرون خواهم راند. آنگاه شخص مورد نظر خود را تعیین خواهم نمود تا برایشان حکومت کند. زیرا کیست که مثل من باشد و کیست که بتواند از من بازخواست کند؟ کدام رهبر است که با من مخالفت نماید؟ |
20 Therefore heare the counsell of the Lord that hee hath deuised against Edom, and his purpose that hee hath conceiued against the inhabitants of Teman: surely the least of the flocke shall drawe them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.
| بنابراین ارادهٔ من در مورد مردم ادوم و ساکنان تیمان این است که دشمن، آنها و حتی کودکانشان را به زور ببرد و خانه‌هایشان را ویران کند. |
21 The earth is mooued at the noyse of their fall: the crie of their voice is heard in the red Sea.
| «از صدای شکست ادوم، زمین خواهد لرزید. فریاد مردم آن، تا دریای سرخ شنیده خواهد شد. |
22 Behold, he shall come vp, and flie as the Egle, and spreade his wings ouer Bozrah, and at that day shall the heart of the strong men of Edome be as the heart of a woman in trauaile.
| دشمن مانند عقابی با بالهای گشوده بر شهر بصره پرواز کرده، بر آن فرود خواهد آمد. در آن روز، جنگاوران ادوم مانند زنی که در حال زاییدن است، هراسان و پریشان خواهند شد.» |
23 Vnto Damascus he sayeth, Hamath is confounded and Arpad, for they haue heard euill tidings, and they are faint hearted as one on the fearefull sea that can not rest.
| خداوند دربارهٔ دمشق چنین می‌گوید: «مردم شهرهای حمات و ارفاد وحشت کرده‌اند، چون خبر نابودی خود را شنیده‌اند. دلشان مثل دریای خروشان و طوفانی، آشفته است و آرام نمی‌گیرد. |
24 Damascus is discouraged, and turneth her selfe to flight and feare hath seased her: anguish and sorowes haue taken her as a woman in trauaile.
| مردم دمشق همه ضعف کرده، فرار می‌کنند؛ همچون زنی که می‌زاید، همه هراسان و مضطربند. |
25 How is the glorious citie not reserued, the citie of my ioy?
| چگونه این شهر پرآوازه و پرنشاط، متروک شده است! |
26 Therefore her yong men shall fall in her streetes, and all her men of warre shall be cut off in that day, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
| خداوند لشکرهای آسمان می‌فرماید: در آن روز، اجساد جوانانش در کوچه‌ها خواهند افتاد و تمام سربازانش از بین خواهند رفت. |
27 And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, which shall cosume the palaces of Benhadad.
| من دیوارهای دمشق را به آتش خواهم کشید و قصرهای بنهدد پادشاه را خواهم سوزاند.» |
28 Vnto Kedar, and to the kingdomes of Hazor, which Nebuchad-nezzar, king of Babel shall smite, thus sayeth the Lord, Arise, and goe vp vnto Kedar, and destroy the men of the East.
| این پیشگویی دربارهٔ طایفهٔ قیدار و مردم نواحی حاصور است که به دست نِبوکَدنِصَّر، پادشاه بابِل مغلوب شدند. خداوند می‌فرماید: «بر مردم قیدار هجوم بیاورید و این ساکنین مشرق‌زمین را از بین ببرید. |
29 Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: yea, they shall take to themselues their curtaines and all their vessels, and their camels, and they shall crie vnto them, Feare is on euery side.
| گله و رمه و خیمه‌های ایشان و هر چه را در آنهاست بگیرید و تمام شترهایشان را ببرید. «مردم از هر طرف با ترس و وحشت فریاد برمی‌آورند و می‌گویند:”ما محاصره شده‌ایم و از بین خواهیم رفت!“ |
30 Flee, get you farre off (they haue consulted to dwell) O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the Lord: for Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel hath taken counsell against you, and hath deuised a purpose against you.
| «فرار کنید! هر چه زودتر بگریزید. ای اهالی حاصور به بیابانها پناه ببرید، زیرا نِبوکَدنِصَّر، پادشاه بابِل بر ضد شما توطئه چیده و برای نابودی شما آماده می‌شود.» |
31 Arise, and get you vp vnto the welthy nation that dwelleth without care, saith the Lord, which haue neither gates nor barres, but dwel alone.
| خداوند به نِبوکَدنِصَّر پادشاه، فرموده است: «برو و به آن قبایل چادرنشین ثروتمند حمله کن که تصور می‌کنند در رفاه و امنیت هستند و به خود می‌بالند که مستقل می‌باشند؛ شهرهای ایشان نه دیواری دارد و نه دروازه‌ای. |
32 And their camels shall be a bootie, and the multitude of their cattel a spoile, and I will scatter them into all windes, and to the vtmost corners, and I will bring their destruction from al the sides thereof, sayeth the Lord.
| شترها و حیواناتشان همه از آن تو خواهند شد. من این مردم را که گوشه‌های موی خود را می‌تراشند، به هر طرف پراکنده خواهم ساخت و از هر سو برایشان بلا خواهم فرستاد.» |
33 And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and desolation for euer: there shall no man dwell there, nor the sonnes of men remaine in it.
| خداوند می‌فرماید که حاصور مسکن جانوران صحرا خواهد شد و تا ابد ویران خواهد ماند و دیگر کسی هرگز در آن زندگی نخواهد کرد. |
34 The woordes of the Lord that came to Ieremiah the Prophet, concerning Elam, in the beginning of the reigne of Zedekiah King of Iudah, saying,
| در آغاز سلطنت صدقیا، پادشاه یهودا، خداوند لشکرهای آسمان پیامی بر ضد عیلام به من داد و فرمود: «من کمانداران عیلام را که مایۀ قوت آنهاست، در هم خواهم کوبید. |
35 Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes, Beholde, I will breake the bowe of Elam, euen the chiefe of their strength.
36 And vpon Elam I will bring the foure windes from the foure quarters of heauen, and will scatter them towardes all these windes, and there shall bee no nation, whither the fugitiues of Elam shall not come.
| مردم عیلام را به هر سو پراکنده خواهم ساخت طوری که هیچ سرزمینی نباشد که آوارگان عیلام در آن یافت نشوند. |
37 For I will cause Elam to be afraied before their enemies, and before them that seeke their liues, and will bring vpon them a plague, euen the indignation of my wrath, saieth the Lord, and I wil sende the sworde after them till I haue consumed them.
| من با خشم شدید خود، عیلام را دچار بلا و مصیبت خواهم کرد و ایشان را به دست دشمنانشان خواهم سپرد تا به کلی نابودشان کنند. |
38 And I wil set my throne in Elam, and I wil destroy both the King and the princes from thence, saith the Lord:
| من پادشاه و بزرگان عیلام را از بین خواهم برد و تخت سلطنت خود را در آنجا برقرار خواهم نمود. |
39 but in the latter daies I wil bring againe the captiuitie of Elam, sayeth the Lord.
| ولی در آینده، عیلام را دوباره کامیاب خواهم ساخت. من، خداوند، این را می‌گویم.» |
