Jeremiah 32
1 The worde that came vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, in the tenth yere of Zedekiah king of Iudah, which was the eightenth yeere of Nebuchad-nezzar.
A palavra que veiu a Jeremias da parte do Senhor, no anno decimo de Zedekias, rei de Judah; este anno foi o anno dezoito de Nabucodonozor
2 For then the King of Babels hoste besieged Ierusalem: And Ieremiah the Prophet was shutte vp in the court of the prison, which was in the King of Iudahs house.
(Cercava, porém, então o exercito do rei de Babylonia a Jerusalem; e Jeremias, o propheta, estava encerrado no pateo da guarda que estava na casa do rei de Judah;
3 For Zedekiah King of Iudah had shut him vp, saying, Wherefore doest thou prophesie, and say, Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will giue this citie into the handes of the King of Babel, and he shall take it?
Porque Zedekias, rei de Judah, o tinha encerrado, dizendo: Porque prophetizas tu, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor: Eis que entrego esta cidade na mão do rei de Babylonia, e elle a tomará;
4 And Zedekiah the King of Iudah shall not escape out of the hande of the Caldeans, but shall surely be deliuered into the handes of the King of Babel, and shall speake with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall beholde his face,
E Zedekias, rei de Judah, não escapará das mãos dos chaldeos; mas certamente será entregue na mão do rei de Babylonia, e com elle fallará bocca a bocca, e os seus olhos verão os d'elle
5 And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babel, and there shall he be, vntil I visit him, saith ye Lord: though ye fight with the Caldeans, ye shall not prosper.
E levará Zedekias para Babylonia, e ali estará, até que eu visite, diz o Senhor, e, ainda que pelejeis contra os chaldeos, não ganhareis?)
6 And Ieremiah said, The word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Disse pois Jeremias: Veiu a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
7 Beholde, Hanameel, the sonne of Shallum thine vncle, shall come vnto thee and say, Bye vnto thee my fielde, that is in Anathoth: for the title by kindred appertaineth vnto thee to bye it.
Eis que Hanameel, filho de Sallum, teu tio, virá a ti, dizendo: Compra para ti a minha herdade que está em Anathot, pois tens o direito de resgate para compral-a.
8 So Hanameel, mine vncles sonne, came to mee in the court of the prison, according to the word of the Lord, and said vnto me, Bye my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the countrey of Beniamin: for the right of the possession is thine, and the purchase belongeth vnto thee: bye it for thee. Then I knewe that this was the worde of the Lord.
Veiu pois a mim Hanameel, filho de meu tio, segundo a palavra do Senhor, ao pateo da guarda, e me disse: Compra agora a minha herdade que está em Anathot, que está na terra de Benjamin; porque tens o direito hereditario, e tens o resgate; compra-a para ti. Então entendi que isto era a palavra do Senhor.
9 And I bought the field of Hanameel, mine vncles sonne, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the siluer, euen seuen shekels, and tenne pieces of siluer.
Comprei pois a herdade de Hanameel, filho de meu tio, a qual está em Anathot; e pesei-lhe o dinheiro, dezesete siclos de prata.
10 And I writ it in the booke and signed it, and tooke witnesses, and weighed him the siluer in the balances.
E subscrevi o auto, e sellei-o, e o fiz testificar por testemunhas: e pesei-lhe o dinheiro n'uma balança.
11 So I tooke the booke of the possession, being sealed according to the Lawe, and custome, with the booke that was open,
E tomei o auto da compra, tanto o sellado, conforme o mandado e os estatutos, como o aberto.
12 And I gaue the booke of the possession vnto Baruch the sonne of Neriah, the sonne of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine vncles sonne, and in the presence of the witnesses, written in the booke of the possession, before al the Iewes that sate in the court of the prison.
E dei o auto da compra a Baruch, filho de Nerias, filho de Maaseias, perante os olhos de Hanameel, filho de meu tio, e perante os olhos das testemunhas, que subscreveram o conhecimento da compra, e perante os olhos de todos os judeos que se assentavam no pateo da guarda.
13 And I charged Baruch before them, saying,
E dei ordem a Baruch, perante os olhos d'elles, dizendo:
14 Thus saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Take the writings, euen this booke of the possession, both that is sealed, and this booke that is open, and put them in an earthen vessell, that they may continue a long time.
Assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos, o Deus de Israel: Toma estes autos, este auto de compra, tanto o sellado, como o aberto, e mette-os n'um vaso de barro, para que se possam conservar muitos dias,
15 For the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel saith thus, Houses and fieldes, and vineyardes shall be possessed againe in this land.
Porque assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos, o Deus de Israel: Ainda se comprarão casas, e campos, e vinhas n'esta terra.
16 Now when I had deliuered the booke of the possession vnto Baruch, the sonne of Neriah, I prayed vnto the Lord, saying,
E depois que dei o auto da compra a Baruch, filho de Nerias, orei ao Senhor, dizendo:
17 Ah Lord God, beholde, thou hast made the heauen and the earth by thy great power, and by thy stretched out arme, and there is nothing hard vnto thee.
Ah Senhor Jehovah! eis que tu fizeste os céus e a terra com a tua grande potencia, e com o teu braço estendido: não te é maravilhosa coisa alguma:
18 Thou shewest mercie vnto thousands, and recompensest the iniquitie of the fathers into the bosome of their children after them: O God the great and mightie, whose Name is ye Lord of hostes,
Que usas de benignidade com milhares, e rendes a maldade dos paes no seio dos filhos depois d'elles: o grande, o poderoso Deus cujo nome é o Senhor dos Exercitos:
19 Great in counsell, and mightie in worke, (for thine eyes are open vpon all the wayes of ye sonnes of men, to giue to euery one according to his wayes, and according to the fruite of his workes)
Grande em conselho, e magnifico em feito; porque os teus olhos estão abertos sobre todos os caminhos dos filhos dos homens, para dar a cada um segundo os seus caminhos e segundo o fructo das suas obras:
20 Which hast set signes and wonders in the land of Egypt vnto this day, and in Israel, and among all men, and hast made thee a Name, as appeareth this day,
Que pozeste signaes e maravilhas na terra do Egypto até ao dia de hoje, tanto em Israel, como entre os outros homens, e te fizeste um nome, qual tu tens n'este dia.
21 And hast brought thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signes, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, with a stretched out arme, and with great terrour,
E tiraste o teu povo Israel da terra do Egypto, com signaes e com maravilhas, e com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com grande espanto,
22 And hast giuen them this land, which thou diddest sweare to their fathers to giue them, euen a land, that floweth with milke and hony,
E lhes déste esta terra, que juraste a seus paes que lhes havias de dar: terra que mana leite e mel.
23 And they came in, and possessed it, but they obeyed not thy voyce, neither walked in thy Law: all that thou commaundedst them to doe, they haue not done: therefore thou hast caused this whole plague to come vpon them.
E entraram n'ella, e a possuiram, porém não obedeceram á tua voz, nem andaram na tua lei; tudo o que lhes mandaste que fizessem, elles não o fizeram; pelo que fizeste que lhes succedesse todo este mal
24 Beholde, the mounts, they are come into the citie to take it, and the citie is giuen into the hande of the Caldeans, that fight against it by meanes of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence, and what thou hast spoken, is come to passe, and beholde, thou seest it.
Eis aqui os vallados! já vieram contra a cidade para tomal-a, e a cidade está dada na mão dos chaldeos, que pelejam contra ella, por causa da espada, e da fome, e da pestilencia; e o que fallaste se ez, e eis aqui o estás presenciando.
25 And thou hast sayd vnto me, O Lord God, Bye vnto thee the fielde for siluer, and take witnesses: for the citie shall be giuen into the hand of the Caldeans.
Comtudo tu me disseste, Senhor Jehovah: Compra para ti o campo por dinheiro, e faze que o testifiquem testemunhas, posto que a cidade esteja já dada na mão dos chaldeos.
26 Then came the worde of the Lord vnto Ieremiah, saying,
Então veiu a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, dizendo:
27 Beholde, I am the LORD GOD of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Eis que eu sou o Senhor Deus de toda a carne: porventura ser-me-hia coisa alguma maravilhosa?
28 Therefore thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I wil giue this citie into the hand of the Caldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar, King of Babel, and he shall take it.
Portanto assim diz o Senhor: Eis que eu entrego esta cidade na mão dos chaldeos, e na mão de Nabucodonozor, rei de Babylonia, e tomal-a-ha.
29 And the Caldeans shall come and fight against this citie, and set fire on this citie and burne it, with the houses, vpon whose rouses they haue offred incense vnto Baal, and powred drinke offrings vnto other gods, to prouoke me vnto anger.
E os chaldeos, que pelejam contra esta cidade, entrarão n'ella, porão fogo a esta cidade, e queimarão juntamente as casas sobre cujos terraços queimarão incenso a Baal e offerecerão libações a outros deuses, para me provocarem á ira.
30 For the children of Israel, and the children of Iudah haue surely done euill before me from their youth: for the children of Israel haue surely prouoked me to anger with the workes of their hands, saith the Lord.
Porque os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Judah não fizeram senão mal aos meus olhos, desde a sua mocidade; porque os filhos de Israel sómente me provocaram á ira com as obras das suas mãos, diz o Senhor.
31 Therefore this citie hath bene vnto me as a prouocation of mine anger, and of my wrath, from the day, that they built it, euen vnto this day, that I should remoue it out of my sight,
Porque para a minha ira e para o meu furor me foi esta cidade, desde o dia em que a edificaram, e até ao dia de hoje, para que a tirasse da minha face;
32 Because of all the euill of the children of Israel, and of the children of Iudah, which they haue done to prouoke mee to anger, euen they, their Kings, their Princes, their Priests, and their Prophets, and the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem.
Por toda a maldade dos filhos de Israel, e dos filhos de Judah, que fizeram, para me provocarem á ira, assim elle como os seus reis, os seus principes, os seus sacerdotes, e os seus prophetas, como tambem os homens de Judah e os moradores de Jerusalem.
33 And they haue turned vnto me the backe and not the face: though I taught them rising vp earely, and instructing them, yet they were not obedient to receiue doctrine,
E me viraram as costas, e não o rosto: ainda que eu os ensinava, madrugando e ensinando-os, comtudo elles não ouviram, para receberem o ensino.
34 But they set their abominations in ye house (whereupon my Name was called) to defile it,
Antes pozeram as suas abominações na casa que se chama pelo meu nome, para a profanarem.
35 And they built the hie places of Baal, which are in the valley of Ben-hinnom, to cause their sonnes and their daughters to passe through the fire vnto Molech, which I commanded them not, neither came it into my minde, that they should doe such abomination, to cause Iudah to sinne.
E edificaram os altos de Baal, que estão no valle do filho de Hinnom, para fazerem que seus filhos e suas filhas passassem pelo fogo a Moloch; o que nunca lhes ordenei, nem subiu ao meu coração, que fizessem tal abominação; para fazerem peccar a Judah.
36 And nowe therefore, thus hath the Lord God of Israel spoken, concerning this citie, whereof ye say, It shalbe deliuered into the hand of the King of Babel by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence,
E por isso agora assim diz o Senhor o Deus de Israel, ácerca d'esta cidade, da qual vós dizeis: Já está dada na mão do rei de Babylonia, á espada, e á fome, e á pestilencia:
37 Beholde, I will gather them out of all countreys, wherein I haue scattered them in mine anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation, and I wil bring them againe vnto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely.
Eis que eu os congregarei de todas as terras, para onde os houver lançado na minha ira, e no meu furor, e na minha grande indignação; e os tornarei a trazer a este logar, e farei que habitem n'elle seguramente.
38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
E me serão por povo, e eu lhes serei por Deus.
39 And I wil giue them one heart and one way that they may feare me for euer for ye wealth of them, and of their children after them.
E lhes darei um mesmo coração, e um mesmo caminho, para que me temam todos os dias, para seu bem, e de seus filhos, depois d'elles.
40 And I wil make an euerlasting couenant with them, that I wil neuer turne away from them to doe them good, but I wil put my feare in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
E farei com elles um concerto eterno, que não tornarei de após elles, para fazer-lhes bem; e porei o meu temor no seu coração, para que nunca se apartem de mim
41 Yea, I wil delite in them to do them good, and I wil plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart, and with all my soule.
E alegrar-me-hei d'elles, fazendo-lhes bem; e os plantarei n'esta terra certamente, com todo o meu coração e com toda a minha alma.
42 For thus sayth the Lord, Like as I haue brought all this great plague vpon this people, so wil I bring vpon them all the good that I haue promised them.
Porque assim diz o Senhor: Como eu trouxe sobre este povo todo este grande mal, assim eu trarei sobre elle todo o bem que eu fallo a respeito d'elle.
43 And the fields shalbe possessed in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast, and shalbe giuen into the hand of the Caldeans.
E comprar-se-hão campos n'esta terra, da qual vós dizeis: Já está tão deserta, que não ha n'ella nem homem nem animal; está dada na mão dos chaldeos.
44 Men shall buy fields for siluer, and make writings and seale them, and take witnesses in the land of Beniamin, and round about Ierusalem, and in the cities of Iudah, and in the cities of the mountaines, and in the cities of the plaine, and in the cities of the South: for I wil cause their captiuitie to returne, saith the Lord.
Comprarão campos por dinheiro, e subscreverão os autos, e os sellarão, e farão que testifiquem testemunhas na terra de Benjamin, e nos contornos de Jerusalem, e nas cidades de Judah, e nas cidades das montanhas, e nas cidades das planicies, e nas cidades do sul; porque os farei voltar do seu captiveiro, diz o Senhor.
