Jeremiah 30

1 The worde, that came to Ieremiah from the Lord, saying,

Palavra que veio do SENHOR a Jeremias, dizendo:

2 Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the wordes, that I haue spoken vnto thee in a booke.

Assim diz o SENHOR Deus de Israel, dizendo: Escreve para ti em um livro todas as palavras que tenho te falado;

3 For loe, the dayes come, saith the Lord, that I wil bring againe the captiuitie of my people Israel and Iudah, saith the Lord: for I will restore them vnto the lande, that I gaue to their fathers, and they shall possesse it.

Porque eis que vêm dias, diz o SENHOR, em que restaurarei o meu povo, Israel e Judá, de seus infortúnios, diz o SENHOR, e os trarei de volta à terra que dei a seus pais, e a possuirão.

4 Againe, these are the wordes that the Lord spake concerning Israel, and concerning Iudah.

E estas são as palavras que o SENHOR falou quanto a Israel e a Judá;

5 For thus saith the Lord, wee haue heard a terrible voyce, of feare and not of peace.

Porque assim diz o SENHOR: Ouvimos voz de tremor; há temor, e não paz.

6 Demand now and beholde, if man trauayle with childe? wherefore doe I beholde euery man with his hands on his loynes as a woman in trauaile, and all faces are turned into a palenesse?

Perguntai pois, e olhai se o homem dá à luz; então por que vejo que todo homem [com] as mãos sobre seus lombos, como [se fosse] mulher de parto? E [por que] todos os rostos ficaram pálidos?

7 Alas, for this day is great: none hath bene like it: it is euen the time of Iaakobs trouble, yet shall he be deliuered from it.

Ai! Pois aquele dia é tão grande, que não houve outro semelhante; é tempo de angústia para Jacó; porém será livrado dela.

8 For in that day, sayth the Lord of hostes, I will breake his yoke from off thy necke, and breake thy bondes, and strangers shall no more serue themselues of him.

Pois será naquele dia, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, que eu quebrarei seu jugo de teu pescoço, e romperei tuas amarras; e estrangeiros nunca mais se servirão dele.

9 But they shall serue the Lord their God, and Dauid their King, whom I will raise vp vnto them.

Em vez disso servirão ao SENHOR, seu Deus, e a Davi, seu rei, o qual lhes levantarei.

10 Therefore feare not, O my seruant Iaakob, saith the Lord, neither be afrayde, O Israel: for loe, I will deliuer thee from a farre countrey, and thy seede from the lande of their captiuitie, and Iaakob shall turne againe, and shalbe in rest and prosperitie and none shall make him afraide.

Tu pois, servo meu Jacó, não temas, diz o SENHOR, nem te espantes, ó Israel; porque eis que te salvarei de longe, e a tua descendência da terra do seu cativeiro; e Jacó voltará, descansará e sossegará, e não haverá quem [o] atemorize.

11 For I am with thee, sayth the Lord, to saue thee: though I vtterly destroy all the nations where I haue scattered thee, yet will I not vtterly destroy thee, but I will correct thee by iudgement, and not vtterly cut thee off.

Pois estou contigo, diz o SENHOR, para te salvar; e pois exterminarei todas as nações entre a quais te espalhei; porém eu não exterminarei, mas te castigarei com moderação, e não te deixarei impune.

12 For thus saith the Lord, Thy bruising is incurable, and thy wound is dolorous.

Porque assim diz o SENHOR: Teu quebrantamento é incurável, tua ferida é grave.

13 There is none to iudge thy cause, or to lay a plaister: there are no medicines, nor help for thee.

Não há quem julgue tua causa quanto a [tua] enfermidade; não há para ti remédios que curem.

14 All thy louers haue forgotten thee: they seeke thee not: for I haue striken thee with the wound of an enemie, and with a sharpe chastisement for ye multitude of thine iniquities, because thy sinnes were increased.

Todos os teus amantes se esqueceram de ti [e] não te buscam; pois te feri [com] ferida de inimigo, [com] castigo [como] de [alguém] cruel, por causa da grandeza de tua maldade, e da multidão de teus pecados.

15 Why cryest thou for thine affliction? thy sorowe is incurable, for the multitude of thine iniquities: because thy sinnes were increased, I haue done these things vnto thee.

Por que gritas por causa de teu quebrantamento? Tua dor é incurável; [pois] pela grandeza de tua maldade, [e] pela multidão de teus pecados te fiz estas coisas.

16 Therefore all they that deuoure thee, shall be deuoured, and all thine enemies euery one shall goe into captiuitie: and they that spoyle thee, shalbe spoyled, and all they that robbe thee, wil I giue to be robbed.

Porém serão devorados todos os que te devoram; e todos os teus adversários, todos eles irão ao cativeiro; e roubados serão os que te roubam, e a todos os que te despojam entregarei para que sejam despojados.

17 For I will restore health vnto thee, and I will heale thee of thy woundes, saith the Lord, because they called thee, The cast away, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

Mas eu te farei ter saúde, e sararei tuas feridas, diz o SENHOR; pois te chamaram de rejeitada, [dizendo]: Esta é Sião, a quem ninguém busca.

18 Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will bring againe the captiuitie of Iaakobs tentes, and haue compassion on his dwelling places: and the citie shalbe builded vpon her owne heape, and the palace shall remaine after the maner thereof.

Assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que restaurarei as tendas de Jacó de seu infortúnio, e me compadecerei de suas moradas; e a cidade será reedificada de suas ruínas, e o templo será posto no lugar de costume.

19 And out of them shall proceede thankesgiuing, and the voyce of them that are ioyous, and I will multiplie them, and they shall not bee fewe: I will also glorifie them, and they shall not be diminished.

E sairá deles louvor, e voz dos que estão cheios de alegria; e eu os multiplicarei, e não serão diminuídos; eu os glorificarei, e não serão menosprezados.

20 Their children also shall be as afore time, and their congregation shall be established before me: and I will visite all that vexe them.

E seus filhos serão como no passado; e sua congregação será confirmada diante de mim; e punirei a todos os seus opressores.

21 And their noble ruler shall be of themselues, and their gouernour shall proceede from the middes of them, and I will cause him to draw neere, and approche vnto me: for who is this that directeth his heart to come vnto mee, saith the Lord?

E seu líder será dele, e seu governador saíra do meio dele; e eu o farei chegar perto, e ele se achegará a mim; pois quem jamais confiou em seu próprio coração para se achegar a mim? diz o SENHOR.

22 And ye shall be my people, and I will bee your God.

E vós sereis meu povo, e eu serei vosso Deus.

23 Beholde, the tempest of the Lord goeth foorth with wrath: the whirlewinde that hangeth ouer, shall light vpon the head of the wicked.

Eis que a tempestade do SENHOR sai [com] furor, a tempestade impetuosa, que sobre a cabeça dos ímpios cairá.

24 The fierce wrath of the Lord shall not returne, vntill he haue done, and vntill he haue performed the intents of his heart: in the latter dayes ye shall vnderstand it.

A ardente ira do SENHOR não retrocederá enquanto não tiver feito e cumprido os pensamentos de seu coração; no fim dos dias entendereis isto.
