Jeremiah 26
1 In the beginning of the reigne of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, came this worde from the Lord, saying,
೧ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನಿಗೆ ಈ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಯಿತು.
2 Thus saith the Lord, Sande in the court of the Lordes House, and speake vnto all the cities of Iudah, which come to worshippe in the Lords House, all the wordes that I commaund thee to speake vnto them: keepe not a worde backe,
೨“ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ನೀನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಆ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಾಧಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಊರಿನವರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೇಳು, ಒಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನೂ ಬಿಡಬೇಡ.
3 If so be they will hearken, and turne euery man from his euill way, that I may repent me of the plague, which I haue determined to bring vpon them, because of the wickednesse of their workes.
೩ಅವರು ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿಯಾರು; ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅವರ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಮನಮರುಗಿ ಮಾಡದಿರುವೆನು.
4 And thou shalt say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord, If ye will not heare me to walke in my Lawes, which I haue set before you,
೪ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, ‘ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ,
5 And to heare ye wordes of my seruants the Prophets, whome I sent vnto you, both rising vp earely, and sending them, and will not obey them,
೫ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದರೆ,
6 Then will I make this House like Shiloh, and will make this citie a curse to all the nations of the earth.
೬ಆಗ ನಾನು ಈ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಶಿಲೋವಿನ ಗತಿಗೆ ತಂದು, ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಲೋಕದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಪದ ಮಾತಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು’” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು ಎಂದನು.
7 So the Priestes, and the Prophets, and all the people heard Ieremiah speaking these wordes in the House of the Lord.
೭ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಕಲ ಜನರೂ ಕೇಳಿದರು.
8 Nowe when Ieremiah had made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speake vnto all the people, then the Priestes, and the prophets, and all the people tooke him, and saide, Thou shalt die the death.
೮ಸಮಸ್ತಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, “ನೀನು ಸಾಯಲೇಬೇಕು!
9 Why hast thou prophecied in the Name of the Lord, saying, This House shall be like Shiloh, and this citie shalbe desolate without an inhabitant? and all the people were gathered against Ieremiah in the House of the Lord.
೯ನೀನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೆಸರೆತ್ತಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ‘ಈ ಆಲಯವು ಶಿಲೋವಿನ ಗತಿಗೆ ಬರುವುದು, ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಾಳುಬೀಳುವುದು’ ಎಂದು ಏಕೆ ಹೇಳಿದೆ” ಎಂದರು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನ ಸುತ್ತಲು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
10 And when the princes of Iudah heard of these things, they came vp from the Kings house into the House of the Lord, and sate downe in the entrie of the new gate of the Lords House.
೧೦ಯೆಹೂದದ ಸರದಾರರು ಈ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅರಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಆ ಮಂದಿರದ ಹೊಸ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡರು.
11 Then spake the Priestes, and the prophets vnto the princes, and to all the people, saying, This man is worthie to die: for he hath prophecied against this citie, as ye haue heard with your eares.
೧೧ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ, “ಇವನು ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕವನು; ಇವನು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅಹಿತ ನುಡಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕಿವಿಯಾರೆ ಕೇಳಿದಿರೀ” ಎಂದು ಸರದಾರರಿಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
12 Then spake Ieremiah vnto all the princes, and to al the people, saying, The Lord hath sent me to prophecie against this house and against this citie all the things that ye haue heard.
೧೨ಆಗ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಸಕಲ ಸರದಾರರಿಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರಿಗೂ, “ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಈ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೂ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರತಿಕೂಲವಾಗಿ ನುಡಿಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
13 Therefore nowe amende your wayes and your workes, and heare the voyce of the Lord your God, that the Lord may repent him of the plague, that he hath pronounced against you.
೧೩ಈಗಲೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಿದ್ದಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ; ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನುಡಿದಿರುವ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಮನಮರುಗಿ ಮಾಡದಿರುವನು.
14 As for me, beholde, I am in your hands: do with me as ye thinke good and right.
೧೪ನಾನೋ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇನಲ್ಲಾ; ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿಯೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ತೋರುವುದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ.
15 But knowe ye for certaine, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood vpon your selues, and vpon this citie, and vpon the inhabitants thereof: for of a trueth the Lord hath sent me vnto you, to speake all these words in your eares.
೧೫ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ, ನೀವೂ, ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವೂ ಮತ್ತು ಇದರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೂ ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿದ ಅಪರಾಧಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಮುಟ್ಟಿಸುವಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿರುವುದು ಖಂಡಿತ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
16 Then saide the princes and all the people vnto the Priestes, and to the prophets, This man is not worthie to die: for he hath spoken vnto vs in the Name of the Lord our God.
೧೬ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಸರದಾರರೂ ಸಕಲ ಜನರೂ ಯಾಜಕ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಿಗೆ, “ಇವನು ಮರಣ ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕವನಲ್ಲ; ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾನಷ್ಟೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
17 Then rose vp certaine of the Elders of the lande, and spake to all the assemblie of the people, saying,
೧೭ತರುವಾಯ ದೇಶದ ಹಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು,
18 Michah the Morashite prophecied in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and spake to al the people of Iudah, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, Zion shall be plowed like a fielde, and Ierusalem shalbe an heape, and the mountaine of the House shalbe as the hie places of the forest.
೧೮“ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋರೆಷೆತ್ ಊರಿನವನಾದ ಮೀಕಾಯನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ, ‘ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಹೊಲದಂತೆ ಉಳಲಾಗುವುದು, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಹಾಳುದಿಬ್ಬಗಳಾಗಿ ಬೀಳುವುದು, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಪರ್ವತವು ಕಾಡು ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳಂತಾಗುವುದು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿ
19 Did Hezekiah King of Iudah, and all Iudah put him to death? did he not feare ye Lord, and prayed before the Lord, and the Lord repented him of the plague, that he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great euill against our soules.
೧೯ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ಆತನ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಮನಮರುಗಿ ಮಾಡದೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟನಲ್ಲಾ. ನಾವಾದರೋ ಇವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿ ನಮಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಸಕಲಜನ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
20 And there was also a man that prophecied in the Name of the Lord, one Vriiah the sonne of Shemaiah, of Kiriath-iarem, who prophecied against this citie, and against this lande, according to all the wordes of Ieremiah.
೨೦ಅದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಮಾಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ ಯಾರೀಮ್ ಊರಿನವನೂ ಆದ ಊರೀಯನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ನುಡಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೂ ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೂ ಅಹಿತವನ್ನು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
21 Nowe when Iehoiakim the King with all his men of power, and all the princes heard his wordes, the King sought to slay him. But when Vriiah heard it, he was afraide and fled, and went into Egypt.
೨೧ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನೂ, ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಶೂರರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಸರದಾರರೂ ಇವನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅರಸನು ಇವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಲು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಆದರೆ ಊರೀಯನು ಆ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡನು.
22 Then Iehoiakim the King sent men into Egypt, euen Elnathan the sonne of Achbor, and certaine with him into Egypt.
೨೨ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನು ಅಕ್ಬೋರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ನಾಥಾನನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರನ್ನೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
23 And they fet Vriiah out of Egypt, and brought him vnto Iehoiakim the King, who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead bodie into the graues of the children of the people.
೨೩ಅವರು ಊರೀಯನನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಎಳೆದು ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತರಲು ಅವನು ಇವನನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕಡಿಸಿ, ಶವವನ್ನು ಸಾಧಾರಣ ಜನರ ಗೋರಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಿದನು.
24 But the hande of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan was with Ieremiah that they shoulde not giue him into the hande of the people to put him to death.
೨೪ಇತ್ತ ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನನ್ನು ಜನರ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸದ ಹಾಗೆ ಶಾಫಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಹೀಕಾಮನ ಸಹಾಯವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒದಗಿತು.
