Jeremiah 24
1 The Lord shewed me, and beholde, two baskets of figges were set before the Temple of the Lord, after that Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel had caryed away captiue Ieconiah ye sonne of Iehoiakim King of Iudah, and the princes of Iudah with the workemen, and cunning men of Ierusalem, and had brought them to Babel.
Si Jehova nagpakita kanako, ug, ania karon, ang duruha ka bukag sa mga igos gipahamutang sa atubangan sa templo ni Jehova, sa human si Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia magbihag kang Jeconia ang anak nga lalake ni Joacim nga hari sa Juda, ug sa mga principe sa Juda, uban sa mga panday sa kahoy ug puthaw gikan sa Jerusalem, ug gidala sila ngadto sa Babilonia.
2 One basket had verie good figges, euen like the figges that are first ripe: and the other basket had verie naughtie figges, which could not be eaten, they were so euill.
Ang usa ka bukag may maayo kaayong mga igos, sama sa mga igos nga bag-o pang nangahinog; ug ang usa ka bukag may dautan gayud nga mga igos, nga dili na makaon, kay sila dautan man sa hilabihan.
3 Then saide the Lord vnto mee, What seest thou, Ieremiah? And I said, Figges: ye good figges verie good, and the naughtie verie naughtie, which cannot be eaten, they are so euill.
Unya miingon si Jehova kanako: Unsay imong nakita, Jeremias? Ug ako miingon: Mga igos; ang maayong mga igos, maayo kaayo; ug ang dautang mga igos, dautan gayud, nga dili na makaon, kay sila dautan man gayud.
4 Againe the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Ug ang pulong ni Jehova midangat kanako, nga nagaingon:
5 Thus sayeth the Lord, the God of Israel, Like these good figges, so will I knowe them that are caryed away captiue of Iudah to bee good, whome I haue sent out of this place, into the land of the Caldeans.
Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel: Sama niining mga maayong igos, mao man ang akong pagmahal sa mga binihag nga gikan sa Juda, nga akong gipadala gikan niining dapita ngadto sa yuta sa mga Caldeahanon, alang sa ilang kaayohan.
6 For I wil set mine eyes vpon them for good, and I will bring them againe to this lande, and I will build them, and not destroy them, and I will plant them, and not roote them out,
Kay itutok ko ang akong mga mata kanila alang sa kaayohan, ug dad-on ko sila pag-usab niining yutaa: ug akong tukoron sila, ug dili ko pagagub-on sila; ug itanum ko sila, ug dili ko paglukahon sila.
7 And I will giue them an heart to knowe me, that I am the Lord, and they shalbe my people, and I wil be their God: for they shall returne vnto mee with their whole heart.
Ug hatagan ko sila ug kasingkasing sa pag-ila kanako, nga ako mao si Jehova: ug sila mahimo nga akong katawohan, ug ako mahimo nga ilang Dios; kay sila managbalik kanako uban ang bug-os nilang kasingkasing.
8 And as the naughtie figges which can not bee eaten, they are so euill (surely thus saith the Lord) so wil I giue Zedekiah the King of Iudah, and his princes, and the residue of Ierusalem, that remaine in this lande, and them that dwell in the lande of Egypt:
Ug ingon nga ang dautang igos nga dili makaon, kay sila dautan man gayud, sa pagkamatuod, mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Ingon man biyaan ko si Sedechias nga hari sa Juda, ug ang iyang mga principe, ug ang nahibilin sa Jerusalem, nga nanagpabilin niining yutaa, ug sila nga nagapuyo sa yuta sa Egipto,
9 I will euen giue them for a terrible plague to all the kingdomes of the earth, and for a reproche, and for a prouerbe, for a common talke, and for a curse, in all places where I shall cast them.
Ug ngani itugyan ko sila nga igatugpo-tugpo sa taliwala sa tanang mga gingharian sa yuta sa pagdaut kanila; aron sila mahimo nga usa ka talamayon ug usa ka sanglitanan, usa ka biniaybiay, ug usa ka tunglo, sa tanang mga dapit diin ngadto pagahinginlan ko sila.
10 And I will sende the sworde, the famine, and the pestilence among them, till they bee consumed out of the land, that I gaue vnto them and to their fathers.
Ug akong ipadala ang espada, ang gutom, ug ang kamatay sa ilang taliwala, hangtud nga sila mangaut-ut gikan sa yuta nga gihatag ko kanila ug sa ilang mga amahan.
