Isaiah 7
1 And in the dayes of Ahaz, the sonne of Iotham, the sonne of Vzziah king of Iudah, Rezin the King of Aram came vp, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, to Ierusalem to fight against it, but he could not ouercome it.
Aconteció en los días de Acaz hijo de Jotam, hijo de Uzías, rey de Judá, que Rezín rey de Siria, y Peca hijo de Remalías, rey de Israel, subieron a Jerusalén para combatirla; mas no la pudieron tomar.
2 And it was tolde the house of Dauid, saying, Aram is ioyned with Ephraim: therefore his heart was moued, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are moued by the winde.
Y vino la nueva a la casa de David, diciendo: Siria se ha confederado con Efraín. Y se le estremeció el corazón, y el corazón de su pueblo, como se estremecen los árboles del monte a causa del viento.
3 Then sayde the Lord vnto Isaiah, Goe foorth nowe to meete Ahaz (thou and Sheariashub thy sonne) at the ende of the conduit of the vpper poole, in the path of the fullers fielde,
Entonces dijo el SEÑOR a Isaías: Sal ahora al encuentro de Acaz, tú, y Sear-jasub tu hijo, al cabo del conducto de la pesquera de arriba, en el camino de la heredad del Lavador,
4 And say vnto him, Take heede, and be still: feare not, neither be faint hearted for the two tailes of these smoking firebrands, for the furious wrath of Rezin and of Aram, and of Remaliahs sonne:
y dile: Guarda, y repósate; no temas, ni se enternezca tu corazón a causa de estos dos cabos de tizón que humean, por el furor de la ira de Rezín y del sirio, y del hijo de Remalías.
5 Because Aram hath taken wicked counsell against thee, and Ephraim, and Remaliahs sonne, saying,
Por haber acordado maligno consejo contra ti el sirio, con Efraín y con el hijo de Remalías, diciendo:
6 Let vs goe vp against Iudah, and let vs waken them vp, and make a breach therein for vs, and set a King in the mids thereof, euen the sonne of Tabeal.
Vamos contra Judá, y la despertaremos, y la partiremos entre nosotros, y pondremos en medio de ella por rey al hijo de Tabeel.
7 Thus sayth the Lord God, It shall not stand, neither shall it be.
El Señor DIOS dice así: No permanecerá, y no será.
8 For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin: and within fiue and threescore yeere, Ephraim shalbe destroyed from being a people.
Porque la cabeza de Siria será Damasco, y la cabeza de Damasco, Rezín; y dentro de sesenta y cinco años Efraín será quebrantado y nunca mas será pueblo.
9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliahs sonne. If ye beleeue not, surely ye shall not be established.
Entretanto la cabeza de Efraín será Samaria, y la cabeza de Samaria el hijo de Remalías. Si vosotros no creyereis, de cierto no permaneceréis.
10 And the Lord spake againe vnto Ahaz, saying,
Y habló más el SEÑOR a Acaz, diciendo:
11 Aske a signe for thee of the Lord thy God: aske it, either in the depth beneath or in the height aboue. (Sheol h7585)
Pide para ti señal del SEÑOR tu Dios, demandándola en lo profundo, o arriba en lo alto. (Sheol h7585)
12 But Ahaz sayd, I wil not aske, neither will I tempt the Lord.
Y respondió Acaz: No pediré, y no tentaré al SEÑOR.
13 Then he sayd, Heare you nowe, O house of Dauid, Is it a small thing for you to grieue men, that ye will also grieue my God?
Dijo entonces Isaías: Oíd ahora, casa de David. ¿No os basta ser molestos a los hombres, sino que también lo seáis a mi Dios?
14 Therefore the Lord himselfe will giue you a signe. Beholde, the virgine shall conceiue and beare a sonne, and she shall call his name Immanu-el.
Por tanto, el mismo Señor os dará señal: He aquí que la virgen concebirá, y Dará A LUZ UN hijo, y llamará su nombre Emmanuel.
15 Butter and hony shall he eate, till he haue knowledge to refuse the euill, and to chuse the good.
Comerá manteca y miel, hasta que sepa desechar lo malo y escoger lo bueno.
16 For afore the childe shall haue knowledge to eschew the euill, and to chuse the good, the land, that thou abhorrest, shalbe forsaken of both her Kings.
Porque antes que el niño sepa desechar lo malo y escoger lo bueno, la tierra que tú aborreces será dejada de sus dos reyes.
17 The Lord shall bring vpon thee, and vpon thy people, and vpon thy fathers house (the dayes that haue not come from the day that Ephraim departed from Iudah) euen the King of Asshur.
El SEÑOR hará venir sobre ti, y sobre tu pueblo, y sobre la casa de tu padre, días cuales nunca vinieron desde el día que Efraín se apartó de Judá, es a saber, al rey de Asiria.
18 And in that day shall the Lord hisse for the flie that is at the vttermost part of the floods of Egypt, and for the bee which is in the lande of Asshur,
Y acontecerá que aquel día silbará el SEÑOR a la mosca que está en el fin de los ríos de Egipto, y a la abeja que está en la tierra de Asiria.
19 And they shall come and shall light all in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rockes, and vpon all thorny places, and vpon all bushy places.
Y vendrán, y se asentarán todos en los valles desiertos, y en las cavernas de las piedras, y en todos los zarzales, y en todas las matas.
20 In that day shall the Lord shaue with a rasor that is hired, euen by them beyond the Riuer, by the King of Asshur, the head and the heare of the feete, and it shall consume the beard.
En aquel día raerá el Señor con navaja alquilada, con los que habitan del otro lado del río, es a saber, con el rey de Asiria, cabeza y pelos de los pies; y aun la barba también quitará.
21 And in the same day shall a man nourish a yong kow, and two sheepe.
Y acontecerá en aquel tiempo, que críe un hombre una vaca y dos ovejas;
22 And for the abundance of milke, that they shall giue, hee shall eate butter: for butter and hony shall euery one eate, which is left within the land.
y será que a causa de la abundancia de leche que darán, comerá manteca; ciertamente manteca y miel comerá el que quedare en medio de la tierra.
23 And at the same day euery place, wherein shalbe a thousand vines, shalbe at a thousand pieces of siluer: so it shalbe for the briers and for the thornes.
Acontecerá también en aquel tiempo, que el lugar donde había mil vides que valían mil siclos de plata, será para los espinos y para los cardos.
24 With arrowes and with bowe shall one come thither: because all the land shall be briers and thornes.
Con saetas y arco irán allá; porque toda la tierra será espinos y cardos.
25 But on all the mountaines, which shalbe digged with the mattocke, there shall not come thither the feare of briers and thornes: but they shalbe for the sending out of bullocks, and for the treading of sheepe.
Mas a todos los montes que se cavaban con azada, no llegará allá el temor de los espinos y de los cardos; mas serán para pasto de bueyes, y para ser hollados de los ganados.
