Isaiah 7
1 And in the dayes of Ahaz, the sonne of Iotham, the sonne of Vzziah king of Iudah, Rezin the King of Aram came vp, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, to Ierusalem to fight against it, but he could not ouercome it.
Es begab sich zur Zeit Ahas, des Sohns Jothams, des Sohns Usias, des Königs Judas, zog herauf: Rezin, der König zu Syrien, und Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, der König Israels, gen Jerusalem, wider sie zu streiten, konnten sie aber nicht gewinnen.
2 And it was tolde the house of Dauid, saying, Aram is ioyned with Ephraim: therefore his heart was moued, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are moued by the winde.
Da ward dem Hause David angesagt: Die Syrer verlassen sich auf Ephraim. Da bebete ihm das Herz und das Herz seines Volks, wie die Bäume im Walde beben vom Winde.
3 Then sayde the Lord vnto Isaiah, Goe foorth nowe to meete Ahaz (thou and Sheariashub thy sonne) at the ende of the conduit of the vpper poole, in the path of the fullers fielde,
Aber der HERR sprach zu Jesaja: Gehe hinaus, Ahas entgegen; du und dein Sohn Sear-Jasub, an das Ende der Wasserröhren am obern Teiche, am Wege beim Acker des Färbers,
4 And say vnto him, Take heede, and be still: feare not, neither be faint hearted for the two tailes of these smoking firebrands, for the furious wrath of Rezin and of Aram, and of Remaliahs sonne:
und sprich zu ihm: Hüte dich und sei stille! Fürchte dich nicht, und dein Herz sei unverzagt vor diesen zween rauchenden Löschbränden, nämlich vor dem Zorn Rezins samt den Syrern und des Sohns Remaljas,
5 Because Aram hath taken wicked counsell against thee, and Ephraim, and Remaliahs sonne, saying,
daß die Syrer wider dich einen bösen Ratschlag gemacht haben samt Ephraim und dem Sohn Remaljas und sagen:
6 Let vs goe vp against Iudah, and let vs waken them vp, and make a breach therein for vs, and set a King in the mids thereof, euen the sonne of Tabeal.
Wir wollen hinauf zu Juda und sie aufwecken und unter uns teilen und zum Könige drinnen machen den Sohn Tabeals.
7 Thus sayth the Lord God, It shall not stand, neither shall it be.
Denn also spricht der HERR HERR: Es soll nicht bestehen noch also gehen,
8 For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin: and within fiue and threescore yeere, Ephraim shalbe destroyed from being a people.
sondern wie Damaskus das Haupt ist in Syrien, so soll Rezin das Haupt zu Damaskus sein. Und über fünfundsechzig Jahre soll es mit Ephraim aus sein, daß sie nicht mehr ein Volk seien.
9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliahs sonne. If ye beleeue not, surely ye shall not be established.
Und wie Samaria das Haupt ist in Ephraim, so soll der Sohn Remaljas das Haupt zu Samaria sein. Glaubt ihr nicht, so bleibt ihr nicht.
10 And the Lord spake againe vnto Ahaz, saying,
Und der HERR redete abermal zu Ahas und sprach:
11 Aske a signe for thee of the Lord thy God: aske it, either in the depth beneath or in the height aboue. (Sheol h7585)
Fordere dir ein Zeichen vom HERRN, deinem Gott, es sei unten in der Hölle oder droben in der Höhe. (Sheol h7585)
12 But Ahaz sayd, I wil not aske, neither will I tempt the Lord.
Aber Ahas sprach: Ich will's nicht fordern, daß ich den HERRN nicht versuche.
13 Then he sayd, Heare you nowe, O house of Dauid, Is it a small thing for you to grieue men, that ye will also grieue my God?
Da sprach er: Wohlan, so höret, ihr vom Hause David: Ist's euch zu wenig, daß ihr die Leute beleidiget; ihr müsset auch meinen Gott beleidigen?
14 Therefore the Lord himselfe will giue you a signe. Beholde, the virgine shall conceiue and beare a sonne, and she shall call his name Immanu-el.
Darum so wird euch der HERR selbst ein Zeichen geben: Siehe, eine Jungfrau ist schwanger und wird einen Sohn gebären, den wird sie heißen Immanuel.
15 Butter and hony shall he eate, till he haue knowledge to refuse the euill, and to chuse the good.
Butter und Honig wird er essen, daß er wisse Böses zu verwerfen und Gutes zu erwählen.
16 For afore the childe shall haue knowledge to eschew the euill, and to chuse the good, the land, that thou abhorrest, shalbe forsaken of both her Kings.
Denn ehe der Knabe lernet Böses verwerfen und Gutes erwählen, wird das Land, davor dir grauet, verlassen sein von seinen zween Königen.
17 The Lord shall bring vpon thee, and vpon thy people, and vpon thy fathers house (the dayes that haue not come from the day that Ephraim departed from Iudah) euen the King of Asshur.
Aber der HERR wird über dich, über dein Volk und über deines Vaters Haus Tage kommen lassen, die nicht kommen sind, seit der Zeit, da Ephraim von Juda geschieden ist, durch den König zu Assyrien;
18 And in that day shall the Lord hisse for the flie that is at the vttermost part of the floods of Egypt, and for the bee which is in the lande of Asshur,
denn zu der Zeit wird der HERR zischen der Fliege am Ende der Wasser in Ägypten und der Biene im Lande Assur,
19 And they shall come and shall light all in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rockes, and vpon all thorny places, and vpon all bushy places.
daß sie kommen und alle sich legen an die trockenen Bäche und in die Steinklüfte und in alle Hecken und in alle Büsche.
20 In that day shall the Lord shaue with a rasor that is hired, euen by them beyond the Riuer, by the King of Asshur, the head and the heare of the feete, and it shall consume the beard.
Zur selbigen Zeit wird der HERR das Haupt und die Haare an Füßen abscheren und den Bart abnehmen durch ein gemietet Schermesser, nämlich durch die, so jenseit des Wassers sind, als durch den König von Assyrien.
21 And in the same day shall a man nourish a yong kow, and two sheepe.
Zur selbigen Zeit wird ein Mann einen Haufen Kühe und zwo Herden ziehen
22 And for the abundance of milke, that they shall giue, hee shall eate butter: for butter and hony shall euery one eate, which is left within the land.
und wird so viel zu melken haben, daß er Butter essen wird; denn Butter und Honig wird essen, wer übrig im Lande bleiben wird.
23 And at the same day euery place, wherein shalbe a thousand vines, shalbe at a thousand pieces of siluer: so it shalbe for the briers and for the thornes.
Denn es wird zu der Zeit geschehen, daß, wo jetzt tausend Weinstöcke stehen, tausend Silberlinge wert, da werden Dornen und Hecken sein,
24 With arrowes and with bowe shall one come thither: because all the land shall be briers and thornes.
daß man mit Pfeilen und Bogen dahin gehen muß. Denn im ganzen Lande werden Dornen und Hecken sein,
25 But on all the mountaines, which shalbe digged with the mattocke, there shall not come thither the feare of briers and thornes: but they shalbe for the sending out of bullocks, and for the treading of sheepe.
daß man auch zu all den Bergen, so man mit Hauen pflegt umzuhacken, nicht kann kommen vor Scheu der Dornen und Hecken, sondern man wird Ochsen daselbst gehen und Schafe drauf treten lassen.
