Isaiah 62

1 For Zions sake I will not holde my tongue, and for Ierusalems sake I wil not rest, vntil the righteousnes thereof breake foorth as the light, and saluation thereof as a burning lampe.

সিয়োনের কারণে আমি চুপ করে থাকব না, জেরুশালেমের জন্য আমি শান্ত থাকব না, যতক্ষণ না তার ধার্মিকতা ভোরের মতো উজ্জ্বল হয়, তার পরিত্রাণ জ্বলন্ত মশালের মতো হয়।

2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousnesse, and all Kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

সব জাতি তোমার ধর্মশীলতা দেখবে, সব রাজা তোমার মহিমা দেখবে; তুমি এক নতুন নামে আখ্যাত হবে, যে নাম সদাপ্রভুরই মুখ নির্ণয় করবে।

3 Thou shalt also be a crowne of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royall diademe in the hand of thy God.

তুমি হবে সদাপ্রভুর হাতে এক সৌন্দর্যের মুকুট, তোমার ঈশ্বরের হাতে এক রাজকীয় কিরীট।

4 It shall no more be sayd vnto thee, Forsaken, neither shall it be said any more to thy land, Desolate, but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord deliteth in thee, and thy land shall haue an husband.

তারা আর তোমাকে পরিত্যক্ত বলবে না, কিংবা তোমার দেশকে জনশূন্য বলবে না। কিন্তু তোমাকে ডাকা হবে হিফ্‌সীবা বলে, তোমার দেশকে বলা হবে বিউলা; কারণ সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে নিয়ে আনন্দ করবেন, আর তোমার ভূমি বিবাহিত হবে।

5 For as a yong man marieth a virgine, so shall thy sonnes marry thee: and as a bridegrome is glad of the bride, so shall thy God reioyce ouer thee.

যেভাবে কোনো যুবক একজন কুমারীকে বিবাহ করে, তোমার নির্মাতা তেমনই তোমায় বিবাহ করবেন; বর যেমন কনেকে নিয়ে উল্লসিত হয়, তেমনই ঈশ্বর তোমাকে নিয়ে উল্লাস করবেন।

6 I haue set watchmen vpon thy walles, O Ierusalem, which all the day and all the night continually shall not cease: ye that are mindfull of the Lord, keepe not silence,

জেরুশালেম, আমি তোমার প্রাচীরগুলিতে প্রহরী নিয়োগ করেছি, তারা দিনে বা রাতে, কখনও নীরব থাকবে না। তোমরা যারা সদাপ্রভুকে ডাকো, তোমরা নিজেদের বিশ্রাম দিয়ো না,

7 And giue him no rest, till hee repaire and vntill hee set vp Ierusalem the prayse of the worlde.

আর তাঁকেও দিয়ো না, যতক্ষণ না তিনি জেরুশালেমকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেন এবং তাকে পৃথিবীতে প্রশংসার পাত্র করেন।

8 The Lord hath sworne by his right hand and by his strong arme, Surely I wil no more giue thy corne to be meate for thine enemies, and surely the sonnes of the strangers shall not drinke thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured.

সদাপ্রভু তাঁর ডান হাত ও তাঁর শক্তিশালী বাহু তুলে শপথ করেছেন: “আর কখনও আমি তোমার শস্যদানা নিয়ে তোমার শত্রুদের হাতে খাবারের জন্য দেব না, বিজাতিয়েরা আর কখনও নতুন দ্রাক্ষারস পান করবে না, যার জন্য তুমি পরিশ্রম করেছ।

9 But they that haue gathered it, shall eate it, and prayse the Lord, and the gatherers thereof shall drinke it in the courtes of my Sanctuarie.

কিন্তু যারা সেই ফসল সঞ্চয় করবে, তারাই তা ভোজন করবে ও সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করবে, আর যারা দ্রাক্ষাচয়ন করবে, তারা তা পান করবে, আমার পবিত্র ধামের প্রাঙ্গণেই করবে।”

10 Go through, go through the gates: prepare you the way for the people: cast vp, cast vp the way, and gather out the stones and set vp a standart for the people.

পার হও, তোমরা তোরণদ্বারগুলি দিয়েই পার হও! প্রজাদের জন্য পথ প্রস্তুত করো। নির্মাণ করো, রাজপথ নির্মাণ করো! সব পাথর সরিয়ে ফেলো। সমস্ত জাতির জন্য একটি পতাকা তোলো।

11 Beholde, the Lord hath proclaimed vnto the endes of the world: tell the daughter Zion, Beholde, thy Sauiour commeth: beholde, his wages is with him, and his worke is before him.

সদাপ্রভু পৃথিবীর প্রান্তসীমা পর্যন্ত একটি ঘোষণা করেছেন: “তোমরা সিয়োন-কন্যাকে বলো, ‘দেখো, তোমার পরিত্রাতা আসছেন! দেখো, তাঁর প্রাপ্য বেতন আছে তাঁর হাতে, তাঁর পুরস্কার আছে তাঁর সঙ্গে।’”

12 And they shall call them, The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord, and thou shalt be named, A citie sought out and not forsaken.

তারা আখ্যাত হবে পবিত্র প্রজা, এবং সদাপ্রভুর মুক্তিপ্রাপ্ত লোক বলে; আর তোমাকে বলা হবে, অন্বেষিতা, এমন নগরী যা আর পরিত্যক্ত নয়।
