Isaiah 52
1 Aries, arise: put on thy strength, O Zion: put on thy garments of thy beautie, O Ierusalem, the holy citie: for hencefoorth there shall no more come into thee the vncircumcised and the vncleane.
Desperta desperta, veste-te da tua fortaleza, ó Sião: veste-te dos teus vestidos formosos, ó Jerusalem, cidade sancta; porque nunca mais entrará em ti nem incircumciso nem immundo.
2 Shake thy selfe from the dust: arise, and sit downe, O Ierusalem: loose the bandes of thy necke, O thou captiue daughter, Zion.
Sacode-te do pó, levanta-te, e assenta-te, ó Jerusalem: solta-te das ataduras de teu pescoço, ó captiva filha de Sião.
3 For thus sayeth the Lord, Yee were solde for naught: therefore shall ye be redeemed without money.
Porque assim diz o Senhor: Por nada fostes vendidos: tambem sem dinheiro sereis resgatados.
4 For thus saith the Lord God, My people went downe afore time into Egypt to soiourne there, and Asshur oppressed them without cause.
Porque assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: O meu povo em tempos passados desceu ao Egypto, para peregrinar lá, e a Assyria sem razão o opprimiu.
5 Nowe therefore what haue I here, saith the Lord, that my people is taken away for naught, and they that rule ouer them, make them to howle, saith the Lord? and my Name all the day continually is blasphemed?
E agora, que tenho eu aqui que fazer? diz o Senhor; pois o meu povo foi tomado sem nenhuma razão: e os que dominam sobre elle o fazem uivar, diz o Senhor; e o meu nome é blasphemado incessantemente todo o dia.
6 Therefore my people shall know my Name: therefore they shall know in that day, that I am he that doe speake: beholde, it is I.
Portanto o meu povo saberá o meu nome, por esta causa, n'aquelle dia; porque eu mesmo sou o que digo: Eis-me aqui.
7 How beautifull vpon the mountaines are the feete of him, that declareth and publisheth peace? that declareth good tidings, and publisheth saluation, saying vnto Zion, Thy God reigneth?
Quão suaves são sobre os montes os pés do que annuncia as boas novas, o que faz ouvir a paz; do que annuncia o bem, que faz ouvir a salvação: do que diz a Sião: O teu Deus reina
8 The voyce of thy watchmen shalbe heard: they shall lift vp their voyce, and shoute together: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring againe Zion.
Uma voz dos teus atalaias se ouve, alçam a voz, juntamente exultam; porque olho a olho verão, quando o Senhor tornar a trazer a Sião.
9 O ye desolate places of Ierusalem, bee glad and reioyce together: for the Lord hath comforted his people: he hath redeemed Ierusalem.
Clamae cantando, exultae juntamente, desertos de Jerusalem; porque o Senhor consolou o seu povo, remiu a Jerusalem.
10 The Lord hath made bare his holy arme in the sight of all the Gentiles, and all the endes of the earth shall see the saluation of our God.
O Senhor desnudou o seu sancto braço perante os olhos de todas as nações; e todos os confins da terra verão a salvação do nosso Deus.
11 Depart, depart ye: goe out from thence and touche no vncleane thing: goe out of the middes of her: be ye cleane, that beare the vessels of the Lord.
Retirae-vos, retirae-vos, sahi d'ahi, não toqueis coisa immunda: sahi do meio d'ella, purificae-vos, os que levaes os vasos do Senhor.
12 For ye shall not goe out with haste, nor depart by fleeing away: but the Lord will goe before you, and the God of Israel will gather you together.
Porque não sairieis apressadamente, nem vos ireis fugindo; porque o Senhor irá diante de vós, e o Deus d'Israel será a vossa rectaguarda.
13 Beholde, my seruant shall prosper: he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very hie.
Eis que o meu servo obrará com prudencia: será exaltado, e elevado, e mui sublime.
14 As many were astonied at thee (his visage was so deformed of men, and his forme of the sonnes of men)
Como pasmaram muitos á vista de ti, de que o seu parecer estava tão desfigurado mais do que o de outro qualquer, e a sua figura mais do que a dos outros filhos dos homens,
15 so shall hee sprinkle many nations: the Kings shall shut their mouthes at him: for that which had not bene tolde them, shall they see, and that which they had not heard, shall they vnderstande.
Assim borrifará muitas nações, e os reis fecharão as suas boccas por causa d'elle; porque aquillo que não lhes foi annunciado o verão, e aquillo que elles não ouviram o entenderão.
