Isaiah 44
1 Yet nowe heare, O Iaakob my seruant, and Israel, whom I haue chosen.
So höre nun, mein Knecht Jakob, und Israel, den ich erwählet habe!
2 Thus sayeth the Lord, that made thee, and formed thee from the wombe: he wil helpe thee. Feare not, O Iaakob, my seruaunt, and thou righteous, whome I haue chosen.
So spricht der HERR, der dich gemacht und zubereitet hat und der dir beistehet von Mutterleibe an: Fürchte dich nicht, mein Knecht Jakob, und du Frommer, den ich erwählet habe!
3 For I will powre water vpon the thirstie, and floods vpon the drie grounde: I will powre my Spirit vpon thy seede, and my blessing vpon thy buddes.
Denn ich will Wasser gießen auf die Durstige und Ströme auf die Dürre; ich will meinen Geist auf deinen Samen gießen und meinen Segen auf deine Nachkommen,
4 And they shall grow as among the grasse, and as the willowes by the riuers of waters.
daß sie wachsen sollen wie Gras, wie die Weiden an den Wasserbächen.
5 One shall say, I am the Lordes: another shalbe called by the name of Iaakob: and another shall subscribe with his hand vnto the Lord, and name himselfe by the name of Israel.
Dieser wird sagen: Ich bin des HERRN, und jener wird genannt werden mit dem Namen Jakob; und dieser wird sich mit seiner Hand dem HERRN zuschreiben und wird mit dem Namen Israel genannt werden.
6 Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel and his redeemer, the Lord of hostes, I am the first, and I am the last, and without me is there no God.
So spricht der HERR, der König Israels; und sein Erlöser, der HERR Zebaoth: Ich bin der Erste und ich bin der Letzte, und außer mir ist kein Gott.
7 And who is like me, that shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order before me, since I appointed the ancient people? and what is at hand, and what things are to come? let them shewe vnto them.
Und wer ist mir gleich, der da rufe und verkündige und mir's zurichte, der ich von der Welt her die Völker setze? Laß sie ihnen die Zeichen, und was kommen soll, verkündigen!
8 Feare ye not, neither be afraide: haue not I tolde thee of olde, and haue declared it? you are euen my witnesses, whether there be a God beside me, and that there is no God that I knowe not.
Fürchtet euch nicht und erschrecket nicht! Habe ich's nicht dazumal dich hören lassen und verkündiget? Denn ihr seid meine Zeugen. Ist auch ein Gott außer mir? Es ist kein Hort, ich weiß ja keinen.
9 All they that make an image, are vanitie, and their delectable things shall nothing profite: and they are their owne witnesses, that they see not nor know: therefore they shalbe confounded.
Die Götzenmacher sind allzumal eitel, und ihr Köstliches ist kein, nütze. Sie sind ihre Zeugen und sehen nichts, merken auch nichts; darum müssen sie zuschanden werden.
10 Who hath made a god, or molten an image, that is profitable for nothing?
Wer sind sie, die einen Gott machen und Götzen gießen, der kein nütze ist?
11 Beholde, all that are of the fellowship thereof, shall be confounded: for the workemen themselues are men: let them all be gathered together, and stand vp, yet they shall feare, and be confounded together.
Siehe, alle ihre Genossen werden zuschanden; denn es sind Meister aus Menschen. Wenn sie gleich alle zusammentreten, müssen sie dennoch sich fürchten und zuschanden werden.
12 The smith taketh an instrument, and worketh in the coles, and facioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his armes: yea, he is an hungred, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
Es schmiedet einer das Eisen in der Zange, arbeitet in der Glut und bereitet es mit Hämmern und arbeitet daran mit ganzer Kraft seines Arms, leidet auch Hunger, bis er nimmer kann, trinket auch nicht Wasser, bis er matt wird.
13 The carpenter stretcheth out a line: he facioneth it with a red thread, he planeth it, and he purtreyeth it with the compasse, and maketh it after the figure of a man, and according to the beautie of a man that it may remaine in an house.
Der andere zimmert Holz und misset es mit der Schnur und zeichnet es mit Rötelstein und behauet es und zirkelt es ab und macht es wie ein Mannsbild, wie einen schönen Menschen, der im Hause wohne.
14 He will hewe him downe cedars, and take the pine tree and the oke, and taketh courage among the trees of the forest: he planteth a firre tree, and the raine doeth nourish it.
Er gehet frisch daran unter den Bäumen im Walde, daß er Zedern abhaue und nehme Buchen und Eichen, ja, eine Zeder, die gepflanzet und die vom Regen erwachsen ist
15 And man burneth thereof: for he will take thereof and warme himselfe: he also kindleth it and baketh bread, yet he maketh a god, and worshippeth it: he maketh it an idole and boweth vnto it.
und die den Leuten Feuerwerk gibt, davon man nimmt, daß man sich dabei wärme, und die man anzündet und Brot dabei bäcket. Daselbst macht er einen Gott von und betet es an; er macht einen Götzen daraus und knieet davor nieder.
16 He burneth the halfe thereof euen in the fire, and vpon the halfe thereof he eateth flesh: he rosteth the roste and is satisfied: also he warmeth himselfe and sayth, Aha, I am warme, I haue bene at the fire.
Die Hälfte verbrennet er im Feuer und über der andern Hälfte isset er Fleisch; er brät einen Braten und sättigt sich, wärmet sich auch und spricht: Hoja! Ich bin warm worden; ich sehe meine Lust am Feuer.
17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, euen his idole: he boweth vnto it, and worshippeth and prayeth vnto it, and sayeth, Deliuer me: for thou art my god.
Aber das übrige macht er zum Gott, daß es sein Götze sei, davor er knieet und niederfället und betet und spricht: Errette mich; denn du bist mein Gott.
18 They haue not knowen, nor vnderstand: for God hath shut their eyes that they cannot see, and their heartes, that they cannot vnderstand.
Sie wissen nichts und verstehen nichts; denn sie sind verblendet, daß ihre Augen nicht sehen und ihre Herzen nicht merken können,
19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor vnderstanding to say, I haue burnt halfe of it, euen in the fire, and haue baked bread also vpon the coles thereof: I haue rosted flesh, and eaten it, and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I bowe to the stocke of a tree?
und gehen nicht in ihr Herz; keine Vernunft noch Witz ist da, daß sie doch dächten: Ich habe die Hälfte mit Feuer verbrannt und habe auf den Kohlen Brot gebacken und Fleisch gebraten und gegessen und sollte das übrige zum Greuel machen und sollte knieen vor einem Klotz?
20 He feedeth of ashes: a seduced heart hath deceiued him, that he cannot deliuer his soule, nor say, Is there not a lye in my right hand?
Es gibt Asche und täuscht das Herz, das sich zu ihm neiget, und kann seine Seele nicht erretten. Noch denket er nicht: Ist das auch Trügerei, das meine rechte Hand treibt?
21 Remember these (O Iaakob and Israel) for thou art my seruant: I haue formed thee: thou art my seruant: O Israel forget me not.
Daran gedenke, Jakob und Israel, denn du bist mein Knecht. Ich habe dich zubereitet, daß du mein Knecht seiest; Israel, vergiß mein nicht!
22 I haue put away thy transgressions like a cloude, and thy sinnes, as a mist: turne vnto me, for I haue redeemed thee.
Ich Vertilge deine Missetat wie eine Wolke und deine Sünde wie den Nebel. Kehre dich zu mir; denn ich erlöse dich.
23 Reioyce, ye heauens: for the Lord hath done it: shoute, ye lower partes of the earth: brast foorth into prayses, ye mountaines, O forest and euery tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Iaakob and will be glorified in Israel.
Jauchzet, ihr Himmel, denn der HERR hat's getan; rufe, du Erde, herunter; ihr Berge, frohlocket mit Jauchzen; der Wald und alle Bäume drinnen; denn der HERR hat Jakob erlöset und ist in Israel herrlich.
24 Thus sayeth the Lord thy redeemer and he that formed thee from the wombe, I am the Lord, that made all things, that spred out the heauens alone, and stretched out the earth by my selfe.
So spricht der HERR, dein Erlöser, der dich von Mutterleibe hat zubereitet: Ich bin der HERR, der alles tut, der den Himmel ausbreitete allein und die Erde weit machte ohne Gehilfen,
25 I destroy the tokens of ye southsayers, and make them that coniecture, fooles, and turne the wise men backwarde, and make their knowledge foolishnesse.
der die Zeichen der Wahrsager zunichte und die Weissager toll macht, der die Weisen zurückkehret und ihre Kunst zur Torheit macht,
26 He confirmeth the worde of his seruant and performeth the counsell of his messengers, saying to Ierusalem, Thou shalt bee inhabited: and to the cities of Iudah, Yee shall be built vp, and I will repayre the decayed places thereof.
bestätiget aber das Wort seines Knechts und den Rat seiner Boten vollführet, der zu Jerusalem spricht: Sei bewohnet! und zu den Städten Judas: Seid gebauet! und der ich ihre Verwüstung aufrichte;
27 He saith to the deepe, Be drye and I will drye vp thy floods.
der ich spreche zu der Tiefe: Versiege! und zu den Strömen: Vertrocknet!
28 He saith to Cyrus, Thou art my shepheard: and he shall performe all my desire: saying also to Ierusalem, Thou shalt be built: and to the Temple, Thy foundation shall be surely layed.
Der ich spreche zu Kores: Der ist mein Hirte und soll allen meinen Willen vollenden, daß man sage zu Jerusalem: Sei gebauet! und zum Tempel: Sei gegründet!
