Isaiah 3
1 For lo, the Lord God of hostes will take away from Ierusalem and from Iudah the stay and the strength: euen all the staye of bread, and all the stay of water,
Denn hinwegnehmen wird der Herr, Jahwe der Heerscharen, jede Art von Stütze aus Jerusalem und Juda, jede Stütze an Brot und jede Stütze an Wasser:
2 The strong man, and the man of warre, the iudge and the prophet, the prudent and the aged,
Helden und Kriegsleute, Richter und Propheten, Wahrsager und Vornehme,
3 The captaine of fiftie, and the honourable, and the counseller, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent man.
Hauptleute und Hochangesehene und Ratsherren und Kunstverständige und Zaubereikundige.
4 And I will appoint children to bee their princes, and babes shall rule ouer them.
Und ich will ihnen Knaben zu Beamten geben und Mutwillige sollen über sie herrschen.
5 The people shalbe oppressed one of another, and euery one by his neighbour: the children shall presume against the ancient, and the vile against the honourable.
Und die Leute sollen sich mißhandeln, einer den andern, der Freund den Freund: der Knabe wird gegen den Greis, und der Geringe gegen den Vornehmen auffahren.
6 When euery one shall take holde of his brother of the house of his father, and say, Thou hast clothing: thou shalt bee our prince, and let this fall be vnder thine hand.
Wenn einer seinen Bruder im väterlichen Hause packt: Du hast noch ein Obergewand, sei unser Gebieter, und dieser Trümmerhaufe sei dir untergeben!
7 In that day hee shall sweare, saying, I cannot bee an helper: for there is no bread in mine house, nor clothing: therefore make me no prince of the people.
so wird er jenes Tages antworten: Ich mag nicht Wundarzt sein; ist doch in meinem Hause weder Brot noch Obergewand, - ihr könnt mich nicht zum Gebieter des Volkes machen!
8 Doubtlesse Ierusalem is fallen, and Iudah is fallen downe, because their tongue and workes are against the Lord, to prouoke the eyes of his glory.
Denn Jerusalem wird in Trümmer gehen und Juda fallen, weil ihre Reden und ihre Thaten gegen Jahwe gerichtet sind, daß sie seinen hehren Augen trotzen.
9 The triall of their countenance testifieth against them, yea, they declare their sinnes as Sodom, they hide them not. Wo be vnto their soules: for they haue rewarded euil vnto themselues.
Ihre Mienen zeugen gegen sie, und sie machen ihre Sünden kund ohne Hehl, wie die Sodomiter. Wehe ihnen! denn sie fügen sich selbst Böses zu!
10 Say ye, Surely it shalbe well with the iust: for they shall eate the fruite of their workes.
Heil dem Frommen! denn es wird ihm wohl gehen, denn die Früchte seiner Thaten wird er genießen.
11 Woe be to the wicked, it shalbe euill with him: for the reward of his handes shalbe giuen him.
Wehe dem Gottlosen! Ihm wird's übel ergehen; denn was seine Hände verübt haben, wird ihm widerfahren.
12 Children are extortioners of my people, and women haue rule ouer them: O my people, they that leade thee, cause thee to erre, and destroy the way of thy paths.
O mein Volk! Seine Zwingherren sind Buben, und Weiber beherrschen es! O mein Volk! Deine Leiter sind Verführer und haben den Weg, den du wandeln sollst, zerstört.
13 The Lord standeth vp to pleade, yea, hee standeth to iudge the people.
Jahwe tritt hin, um zu rechten, und steht da, um Völker zu richten!
14 The Lord shall enter into iudgement with the Ancients of his people and the princes thereof: for ye haue eaten vp the vineyarde: the spoyle of the poore is in your houses.
Jahwe geht ins Gericht mit den Vornehmenund mit den Obersten seines Volks: Ihr aber habt den Weinberg abgeweidet! Das den Elenden geraubte Gut ist in euren Häusern!
15 What haue ye to do, that ye beate my people to pieces, and grinde the faces of the poore, saith the Lord, euen the Lord of hoasts?
Was kommt euch bei, mein Volk zu zerstoßenund die Elenden zu zermalmen? ist der Spruch des Herrn, Jahwes der Heerscharen.
16 The Lord also saith, Because the daughters of Zion are hautie, and walke with stretched out neckes, and with wandering eyes, walking and minsing as they goe, and making a tinkeling with their feete,
Und Jahwe sprach: Weil die Frauen Zions hoch einherfahren, im Gehen den Hals hochrecken und freche Blicke werfen, immerfort tänzelnd einhergehen und mit den Fußspangen klirren,
17 Therefore shall the Lord make the heades of the daughters of Zion balde, and the Lord shall discouer their secrete partes.
so wird der Herr den Scheitel der Frauen Zions grindig machen und Jahwe ihre Scham entblösen.
18 In that day shall the Lord take away the ornament of the slippers, and the calles, and the round tyres,
An jenem Tage wird Jahwe abreißen die prächtigen Fußspangen und die Stirnbänder und die Halbmonde,
19 The sweete balles, and the brasselets, and the bonnets,
die Ohrtropfen und die Armketten und die Kopfschleier,
20 The tyres of the head, and the sloppes, and the head bandes, and the tablets, and the earings,
die Kopfbunde und die Schrittkettchen und die Gürtel und die Riechfläschchen und die Amulette,
21 The rings and the mufflers,
die Fingerringe und die Nasenringe,
22 The costly apparell and the vailes, and the wimples, and the crisping pinnes,
die Feierkleider und die Mäntel und die Überwürfe und die Taschen,
23 And the glasses and the fine linen, and the hoodes, and the launes.
die Spiegel und die feinen Linnen und die Turbane und die Schleier.
24 And in steade of sweete sauour, there shall be stinke, and in steade of a girdle, a rent, and in steade of dressing of the heare, baldnesse, and in steade of a stomacher, a girding of sackecloth, and burning in steade of beautie.
Und dann - Statt des Balsams giebt's Moder und statt der Schärpe den Strick, statt des kunstvollen Gekräusels die Glatze und statt des Prachtmantel Umgürtung mit härenem Gewand, Brandmal statt der Schöne!
25 Thy men shall fall by the sworde, and thy strength in the battell.
Deine Mannen sollen durchs Schwert fallen und deine junge Mannschaft im Kampfe.
26 Then shall her gates mourne and lament, and she, being desolate, shall sit vpon the ground.
Und ihre Thore werden seufzen und trauern, und reinausgeplündert wird sie am Boden sitzen.
