Isaiah 28
1 Woe to the crowne of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim: for his glorious beautie shall be a fading flowre, which is vpon the head of the valley of them that be fat, and are ouercome with wine.
Lozan’ ny satro-boninahitra, izay reharehan’ ny mpimamo any Efraima, sy ny voninkazo mihamalazo amin’ ny firàvany tsara tarehy, izay eo an-dohan’ ny lohasaha lonaky ny fileon-divay.
2 Beholde, the Lord hath a mightie and strong hoste, like a tempest of haile, and a whirlewinde that ouerthroweth, like a tempest of mightie waters that ouerflowe, which throwe to the ground mightily.
Indro, ny Tompo manana izay mahery sady matanjaka, tahaka ny rivo-kavandra sy ny tafio-drivotra mandoza; Koa tahaka ny fandriaky ny rano be manafotra no hanjerany azy mafy ho amin’ ny tany.
3 They shall be troden vnder foote, euen the crowne and the pride of the drunkards of Ephraim.
Dia hohitsahin’ ny tongotra ny satro-boninahitra, Izay reharehan’ ny mpimamo any Efraima.
4 For his glorious beautie shall be a fading floure, which is vpon the head of the valley of them that be fatte, and as the hastie fruite afore sommer, which when hee that looketh vpon it, seeth it, while it is in his hand, he eateth it.
Ary ny voninkazo mihamalazo amin’ ny firàvany tsara tarehy, izay eo an-dohan’ ny lohasaha lonaka, dia ho tahaka ny voan’ aviavy mialin-taona, raha tsy mbola tonga ny fahavaratra, koa izay mahita azy dia mijery, ary raha vao raisiny, dia arapany.
5 In that day shall the Lord of hostes be for a crowne of glory, and for a diademe of beautie vnto the residue of his people:
Ary amin’ izany andro izany Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, dia ho satro-boninahitra tsara tarehy sy ho fehiloha firavaka ho an’ ny olony sisa,
6 And for a spirite of iudgement to him that sitteth in iudgement, and for strength vnto them that turne away the battell to the gate.
Ary ho fanahy fitsarana ho an’ izay mipetraka eo amin’ ny fitsarana, sy ho hery ho an’ izay mampiverina ny ady hatreo am-bavahady.
7 But they haue erred because of wine, and are out of the way by strong drinke: the priest and the prophet haue erred by strong drinke: they are swallowed vp with wine: they haue gone astraye through strong drinke: they faile in vision: they stumble in iudgement.
Nefa ireo koa dia miraingiraingy azon’ ny divay ary mivembena azon’ ny toaka; Ny mpisorona sy ny mpaminany miraingiraingy azon’ ny toaka; Resin’ ny divay ireo; Mivembena azon’ ny toaka izy; Miraingiraingy amin’ ny fahitana izy ary midoladola eo amin’ ny fitsarana.
8 For all their tables are full of filthy vomiting: no place is cleane.
Fa feno loa sy loto ny latabatra rehetra, ka efa tsy misy madio hitoerana.
9 Whome shall he teache knowledge? and whome shall he make to vnderstand the thinges that hee heareth? them that are weyned from the milke, and drawen from the breastes.
Iza no hampianariny fahalalana? Ary iza no hampahafantariny fianarana? Zaza vao notazana va? Ny vao nitsaha-nono va?
10 For precept must be vpon precept, precept vpon precept, line vnto line, line vnto line, there a litle, and there a litle.
Fa didy anampy didy, didy anampy didy; Fitsipika anampy fitsipika, fitsipika anampy fitsipika; Kely etỳ, ary kely erỳ;
11 For with a stammering tongue and with a strange language shall he speake vnto this people.
Eny, amin’ ny molotra miambakambaka sy amin’ ny fiteny baiko no hitenenany amin’ ity firenena ity,
12 Vnto whome hee saide, This is the rest: giue rest to him that is weary: and this is the refreshing, but they would not heare.
Izay nilazany hoe: Ity no fitsaharana, ampitsaharo ny reraka, ary ity no famelombelomana; Nefa tsy nety nihaino ireo.
13 Therefore shall the worde of the Lord be vnto them precept vpon precept, precept vpon precept, line vnto line, line vnto line, there a litle and there a litle, that they may goe, and fall backward, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

14 Wherefore, heare the worde of the Lord, ye scornefull men that rule this people, which is at Ierusalem.
Koa mihainoa ny tenin’ i Jehovah ianareo, ry mpaniratsira, izay manapaka ity firenena eto Jerosalema ity.
15 Because ye haue said, We haue made a couenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement: though a scourge runne ouer, and passe through, it shall not come at vs: for we haue made falshood our refuge, and vnder vanitie are we hid, (Sheol h7585)
Satria ianareo manao hoe: Efa nanao fanekena tamin’ ny fahafatesana izahay ary efa nanao fifanarahana tamin’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita ka na dia ho avy aza ny loza manafotra, dia tsy hihatra aminy izany, fa ny lainga no nataonay ho fiarovana, ary ny fitaka ho fierena, (Sheol h7585)
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will laye in Zion a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation. Hee that beleeueth, shall not make haste.
Dia izao no lazain’ i Jehovah Tompo: Indro, Izaho no efa nametraka vato ao Ziona, dia vato voazaha toetra, vato tsara izay fehizoro voaorina ho fanorenana mafy, ka tsy mba ho taitra izay mino.
17 Iudgement also will I laye to the rule, and righteousnesse to the balance, and the haile shall sweepe away the vaine confidence, and the waters shall ouerflowe the secret place.
Ny fitsarana no hataoko ho fitsipika, ary ny fahamarinana ho pilao; Hopaohin’ ny havandra ny lainga fiarovana, ary hindaosin’ ny rano ny fierena.
18 And your couenant with death shalbe disanulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand: when a scourge shall runne ouer and passe through, then shall ye be trode downe by it. (Sheol h7585)
Hofoanana ny fanekenareo amin’ ny fahafatesana, ary tsy haharitra ny fifanarahanareo amin’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita raha ho avy ny loza manafotra, dia ho tonga fanitsakitsany ianareo. (Sheol h7585)
19 When it passeth ouer, it shall take you away: for it shall passe through euery morning in the day, and in the night, and there shalbe onely feare to make you to vnderstand the hearing.
Ary na oviana na oviana no ihaviany, dia hahatratra anareo izany; Fa isa-maraina isa-maraina no hihaviany, na andro na alina; Ary ny vokatry ny fahafantarana izany fianarana izany dia fangovitana ihany.
20 For the bed is streight that it can not suffice, and the couering narowe that one can not wrappe himselfe.
Fa fohy loatra ny farafara ka tsy azon’ ny olona ilamparana; Ary kely ny firakotra ka tsy maharakotra, raha misy te-hirakotra azy.
21 For the Lord shall stand as in mount Perazim: hee shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his worke, his strage worke, and bring to passe his acte, his strange acte.
Fa Jehovah hitsangana tahaka ny teo amin’ ny tendrombohitra Perazima, ho tezitra tahaka ny teo amin’ ny lohasahan’ i Gibeona Izy, mba hanaovany ny asany tsy ilay fanaony mandrakariva anefa, ary hahavitany ny ataony tsy ilay vitainy mandrakariva anefa.
22 Nowe therefore be no mockers, least your bondes increase: for I haue heard of the Lord of hostes a consumption, euen determined vpon the whole earth.
Koa dia aza maniratsira intsony ianareo, fandrao atao mafy ny famatorana anareo; Fa fahafonganana voatendry no efa reko tamin’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, Hamelezana ny tany rehetra.
23 Hearken ye, and heare my voyce: hearken ye, and heare my speach.
Mihainoa ianareo, ka mandrenesa ny feoko; Mitandrema, ka mandrenesa ny teniko.
24 Doeth the plowe man plowe all the day, to sowe? doeth he open, and breake the clots of his ground?
Moa ny mpiasa tany va miasa mba hamafy, na mitombo-doha sy mandravona ny taniny mandrakariva?
25 When he hath made it plaine, wil he not then sowe the fitches, and sowe cummin, and cast in wheat by measure, and the appointed barly and rye in their place?
Rehefa voaravony tsara ny tany, moa tsy afafiny amin’ izay va ny voan’ ny nigela, ary tsy apariakany va ny komina, ary tsy alahany mitandahatra tsara va ny vary tritika sy ny vary hordea amin’ ny tany voafaritra ho azy Ary ny ampemby kosa eny an-tsisiny?
26 For his God doeth instruct him to haue discretion, and doeth teach him.
Fa Andriamaniny no manoro azy izay mety hataony, Eny, Izy no mampianatra azy.
27 For fitches shall not be threshed with a threshing instrument, neither shall a cart wheele be turned about vpon the cummin: but ye fitches are beaten out with a staffe, and cummin with a rod.
Fa tsy ny kodia vy no ivelezana ny nigela, ary tsy ny kodian’ ny sariety no akodiadia amin’ ny komina; Fa ny nigela dia velezina amin’ ny fantàka, ary ny komina amin’ ny tehina.
28 Bread corne when it is threshed, hee doeth not alway thresh it, neither doeth the wheele of his cart still make a noyse, neither will he breake it with the teeth thereof.
Moa mongomongoiny va ny vary hatao mofo? Tsia, fa tsy veleziny na hampandehanany ny kodian’ ny sarietiny sy ny soavaliny lalandava izy; Tsy mongomongoiny tsy akory izy.
29 This also commeth from the Lord of hostes, which is wonderfull in counsell, and excellent in workes.
Izany koa dia avy amin’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro; Fa mahagaga amin’ ny fisainana Izy Ary mahatalanjona amin’ ny fahendrena.
