Isaiah 14
1 For the Lord wil haue compassion of Iaakob, and wil yet chuse Israel, and cause them to rest in their owne lande: and the stranger shall ioyne him selfe vnto them, and they shall cleaue to the house of Iaakob.
Thật, Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ thương xót Gia-cốp; và còn lựa chọn Y-sơ-ra-ên. Ngài sẽ lập chúng nó lại trong bổn xứ; kẻ trú ngụ sẽ phụ về chúng nó và liên hiệp cùng nhà Gia-cốp.
2 And the people shall receiue them and bring them to their owne place, and the house of Israel shall possesse them in the land of the Lord, for seruants and handmaids: and they shall take them prisoners, whose captiues they were, and haue rule ouer their oppressours.
Các dân sẽ đem họ trở về bổn xứ; nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ được chúng nó làm tôi trai tớ gái trong đất Ðức Giê-hô-va. Chúng nó sẽ bắt làm phu tù những kẻ đã bắt mình làm phu tù, và quản trị kẻ đã hà hiếp mình.
3 And in that day when the Lord shall giue thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy feare, and from the sore bodage, wherein thou didest serue,
Ðến ngày mà Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ cho ngươi ý nghĩ, khỏi cơn buồn bực bối rối, và sự phục dịch nặng nề mà người ta đã bắt ép ngươi,
4 Then shalt thou take vp this prouerbe against the King of Babel, and say, Howe hath the oppressor ceased? and the gold thirsty Babel rested?
thì ngươi sẽ dùng lời thí dụ nầy nói về vua Ba-by-lôn rằng: Sao kẻ bạo ngược đã tiệt đi, thành ức hiếp đã dứt đi!
5 The Lord hath broken the rodde of the wicked, and the scepter of the rulers:
Ðức Giê-hô-va đã bẻ gậy của người ác, và trượng của kẻ cai trị!
6 Which smote the people in anger with a continuall plague, and ruled the nations in wrath: if any were persecuted, he did not let.
Ấy là kẻ đã nhơn giận đánh các dân tộc không thôi, dùng sự thạnh nộ cai trị các nước, và dùng sự bắt bớ chẳng ai ngăn lại.
7 The whole worlde is at rest and is quiet: they sing for ioye.
Nay cả đất được yên nghỉ bình tĩnh, trổi giọng hát mừng!
8 Also the firre trees reioyced of thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid downe, no hewer came vp against vs.
Dầu đến cây tùng cây bách ở Li-ban cũng nhơn cớ ngươi mà vui mừng, và nói rằng: Từ khi ngươi ngã xuống rồi, không ai trèo lên để đốn ta nữa.
9 Hel beneath is mooued for thee to meete thee at thy comming, raising vp the deade for thee, euen all the princes of the earth, and hath raised from their thrones all the Kinges of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
Nơi âm phủ sâu thăm thẳm đã rúng động vì cớ ngươi đặng rước ngươi đến. Nó đã vì ngươi đánh thức các âm hồn, tức là những kẻ cả trên đất; nó đã làm cho vua các nước đứng dậy khỏi ngai mình. (Sheol h7585)
10 All they shall crie, and saie vnto thee, Art thou become weake also as we? art thou become like vnto vs?
Hết thảy chúng nó sẽ cất tiếng nói cùng ngươi rằng: Kìa ngươi cũng yếu đuối như chúng ta ư! Kìa ngươi cũng trở giống như chúng ta ư!
11 Thy pompe is brought downe to ye graue, and the sounde of thy violes: the worme is spred vnder thee, and the wormes couer thee. (Sheol h7585)
Sự sang trọng với tiếng đờn cầm của ngươi đều xuống nơi âm phủ. Một lớp dòi làm nệm cho ngươi, sâu bọ thì làm mền! (Sheol h7585)
12 How art thou fallen from heauen, O Lucifer, sonne of the morning? and cutte downe to the grounde, which didest cast lottes vpon the nations?
Hỡi sao mai, con trai của sáng sớm kia, sao ngươi từ trời sa xuống! Hỡi kẻ giày đạp các nước kia, ngươi bị chặt xuống đất là thể nào!
13 Yet thou saidest in thine heart, I will ascende into heauen, and exalt my throne aboue beside the starres of God: I will sitte also vpon the mount of the Congregation in the sides of the North.
Ngươi vẫn bụng bảo dạ rằng: Ta sẽ lên trời, sẽ nhắc ngai ta lên trên các ngôi sao Ðức Chúa Trời. Ta sẽ ngồi trên núi hội về cuối cùng phương bắc.
14 I wil ascend aboue ye height of the cloudes, and I will be like the most high.
Ta sẽ lên trên cao những đám mây, làm ra mình bằng Ðấng Rất Cao.
Nhưng ngươi phải xuống nơi âm phủ, sa vào nơi vực thẳm! (Sheol h7585)
16 They that see thee, shall looke vpon thee and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, and that did shake the kingdomes?
Những kẻ thấy ngươi sẽ ngó chăm ngươi; và nhìn ngươi cách ý tứ, mà rằng: Có phải người nầy là kẻ đã làm rung rinh đất, day động các nước,
17 He made the worlde as a wildernesse, and destroied the cities thereof, and opened not the house of his prisoners.
làm cho thế gian thành đồng vắng, lật đổ các thành, và chẳng hề buông tha kẻ bị tù về nhà mình đó chăng?
18 All the Kings of the nations, euen they all sleepe in glorie, euery one in his owne house.
Hết thảy vua các nước đều ngủ nơi lăng tẩm mình cách vinh hiển.
19 But thou art cast out of thy graue like an abominable branch: like the raiment of those that are slaine, and thrust thorowe with a sword, which goe downe to the stones of the pit, as a carkeise troden vnder feete.
Nhưng ngươi thì bị ném xa khỏi mồ mả, như nhánh cây thúi, như áo người bị giết, bị gươm đâm, bị xô xuống trong những đá nơi hố, khác nào thây chết bị giày đạp dưới chơn!
20 Thou shalt not be ioyned with them in the graue, because thou hast destroied thine owne lande, and slaine thy people: the seede of the wicked shall not be renoumed for euer.
Ngươi sẽ không được hội hiệp cùng các vua trong lăng; vì ngươi đã diệt nước mình và giết dân mình! Dòng dõi kẻ hung ác sẽ không được xưng đến danh nó nữa.
21 Prepare a slaughter for his children, for the iniquitie of their fathers: let them not rise vp nor possesse the land, nor fil the face of the world with enemies.
Hãy sắm sẳn sự chém giết cho con cháu vì tội ác của tổ phụ; hầu cho họ không dấy lên nữa đặng được đất làm cơ nghiệp, lập thành ấp khắp thế gian!
22 For I wil rise vp against them (sayth the Lord of hostes) and will cut off from Babel the name and the remnant and the sonne, and the nephew, sayth the Lord:
Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán: Ta sẽ dấy lên nghịch cùng chúng nó. Ta sẽ làm tiêu diệt tên Ba-by-lôn và dân sót lại, ca đến con và cháu nữa, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
23 And I wil make it a possession to ye hedgehogge, and pooles of water, and I will sweepe it with the besome of destruction, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
Ta sẽ làm cho đất nó thuộc về con nhiếm, biến ra ao nước; và ta sẽ dùng chuổi hủy diệt mà quét nó, Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán vậy.
24 The Lord of hostes hath sworne, saying, Surely like as I haue purposed, so shall it come to passe, and as I haue consulted, it shall stand:
Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân đã thề rằng: Chắc thật, sự ta đã định sẽ xảy đến, điều ta đã toan sẽ đứng vững.
25 That I will breake to pieces Asshur in my land, and vpon my mountaines will I treade him vnder foote: so that his yoke shall depart from them, and his burden shall be taken from off their shoulder.
Ta sẽ đánh phá người A-si-ri trong đất ta; sẽ giày đạp nó trên núi ta. Ách nó sẽ cổi khỏi chúng nó; gánh nó sẽ cất khỏi vai chúng nó.
26 This is the counsell that is consulted vpon the whole worlde, and this is the hande stretched out ouer all the nations,
Ðó là ý chỉ đã định nghịch cùng cả đất; đó là tay đã giá trên hết thảy các nước.
27 Because the Lord of hostes hath determined it, and who shall disanull it? and his hande is stretched out, and who shall turne it away?
Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân đã toan định, thì ai bãi đi được? Tay Ngài đã giang ra, thì ai day lại được?
28 In the yeere that King Ahaz died, was this burden.
Nhằm năm vua A-cha băng, gánh nặng nầy đã được rao ra:
29 Reioyce not, (thou whole Palestina) because the rod of him that did beat thee, is broken for out of the serpents roote shall come forth a cockatrise, and the fruit therof shalbe a firy flying serpent.
Hỡi cả đất Phi-li-tin, chớ vui mừng bởi cớ roi đánh ngươi đã gãy; vì từ giống rắn sẽ sanh ra thuồng luồng, thuồng luồng sẽ sanh ra rắn lửa bay.
30 For the first borne of the poore shall be fed, and the needie shall lie downe in safetie: and I will kill thy roote with famine, and it shall slay thy remnant.
Bấy giṀ- con cả của kẻ nghèo sẽ tìm được đồ ăn, kẻ túng sẽ nằm yên ổn; nhưng ta sẽ khiến dòng dõi ngươi chết đói, và kẻ thuộc về ngươi cón sót lại sẽ bị giết.
31 Howle, O gate, crie, O citie: thou whole lande of Palestina art dissolued, for there shall come from the North a smoke, and none shalbe alone, at his time appointed.
Hỡi cửa, hãy than khóc! Hỡi thành, hãy kêu la! Hỡi cả đất Phi-li-tin, hết thảy hãy đều tan chảy! Vì có luồng khói từ phương bắc đến, chẳng ai lìa khỏi hàng ngũ mình.
32 What shall then one answere the messengers of the Gentiles? That the Lord hath stablished Zion, and the poore of his people shall trust in it.
Lấy chi trả lời cho sứ giả của nước nầy? Trả lời rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va đã lập Si-ôn, và kẻ sầu khổ trong dân Ngài sẽ được ẩn náu trong nó.
