Haggai 2
1 In the seuenth moneth, in the one and twentieth day of the moneth, came the worde of the Lord by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,
En el mes séptimo, a los veintiún días del mes, vino palabra del SEÑOR por mano del profeta Hageo, diciendo:
2 Speake nowe to Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
Habla ahora a Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, gobernador de Jud, y a Josué hijo de Josadac, sumo sacerdote, y al remanente del pueblo, diciendo:
3 Who is left among you, that sawe this House in her first glory, and howe doe you see it nowe? is it not in your eyes, in comparison of it as nothing?
¿Quién ha quedado entre vosotros que haya visto esta Casa en su primera gloria, y cual ahora la veis? ¿No es ella como nada delante de vuestros ojos?
4 Yet nowe be of good courage, O Zerubbabel, sayth the Lord, and be of good comfort, O Iehoshua, sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest: and be strong, all ye people of the land, sayth the Lord, and doe it: for I am with you, sayth the Lord of hostes,
Pues ahora, Zorobabel, esfuérzate, dijo el SEÑOR; esfuérzate también Josué, hijo de Josadac, sumo sacerdote; y esfuérzate todo el pueblo de esta tierra, dijo el SEÑOR, y obrad; porque Yo soy con vosotros, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos.
5 According to the worde that I couenanted with you, when ye came out of Egypt: so my Spirite shall remaine among you, feare ye not.
La palabra que concerté con vosotros en vuestra salida de Egipto, y mi Espíritu est en medio de vosotros; no tem is.
6 For thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Yet a litle while, and I will shake the heauens and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land:
Porque así dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos: De aquí a poco yo haré temblar los cielos y la tierra, y el mar y la tierra seca;
7 And I will moue all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come, and I will fill this House with glory, sayth the Lord of hostes.
y haré temblar a todos los gentiles, y vendr el Deseado de todos los gentiles; y llenaré esta casa de gloria, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos.
8 The siluer is mine, and the golde is mine, sayth the Lord of hostes.
Mía es la plata, y mío es el oro, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos.
9 The glory of this last House shall be greater then the first, sayth the Lord of hostes: and in this place will I giue peace, sayth the Lord of hostes.
La gloria de esta Casa postrera ser mayor que la de la primera, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos; y daré paz en este lugar, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos.
10 In the foure and twentieth day of the ninth moneth, in the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lord vnto the Prophet Haggai, saying,
A los veinticuatro del noveno mes, en el segundo año de Darío, vino palabra del SEÑOR por mano del profeta Hageo, diciendo:
11 Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Aske nowe the Priests concerning the Law, and say,
Así dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos: Ahora pregunta a los sacerdotes acerca de la ley, diciendo:
12 If one beare holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt doe touch the bread, or the potage, or the wine, or oyle, or any meate, shall it be holy? And the Priests answered and said, No.
Si llevare alguno las carnes sagradas en la falda de su ropa, y con el vuelo de ella tocare el pan, o la vianda, o el vino, o el aceite, u otra comida cualquiera, ¿ser santificada? Y respondieron los sacerdotes, y dijeron: No.
13 Then sayde Haggai, If a polluted person touch any of these, shall it be vncleane? And the Priests answered, and sayd, It shalbe vncleane.
Y dijo Hageo: Si algún inmundo a causa de cuerpo muerto tocare alguna cosa de éstas, ¿ser inmunda? Y respondieron los sacerdotes, y dijeron: Inmunda ser.
14 Then answered Haggai, and sayd, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the Lord: and so are all the workes of their hands, and that which they offer here, is vncleane.
Y respondió Hageo y dijo: Así es este pueblo, y esta gente, delante de mí, dijo el SEÑOR; y asimismo toda obra de sus manos; y todo lo que aquí ofrecen es inmundo.
15 And nowe, I pray you, consider in your mindes: from this day, and afore, euen afore a stone was layde vpon a stone in the Temple of the Lord:
Ahora, pues, poned vuestro corazón desde este día en adelante. Antes que pusiesen piedra sobre piedra en el Templo del SEÑOR.
16 Before these things were, when one came to an heape of twentie measures, there were but ten: when one came to the wine presse for to drawe out fiftie vessels out of the presse, there were but twentie.
Antes que fuesen estas cosas, venían al montón de veinte efas, y había diez; venían al lagar para sacar cincuenta c ntaros del lagar, y había veinte.
17 I smote you with blasting, and with mildewe, and with haile, in all the labours of your hands: yet you turned not to me, saith the Lord.
Os herí con viento solano, y con tizoncillo, y con granizo a vosotros, y en toda obra de vuestras manos; mas no os convertisteis a mí, dijo el SEÑOR.
18 Consider, I pray you, in your mindes, from this day, and afore from the foure and twentieth day of the ninth moneth, euen from the day that the foundation of the Lords Temple was laide: consider it in your mindes.
Pues, poned ahora, vuestro corazón desde este día en adelante, desde el día veinticuatro del noveno mes, que es desde el día que se echó el cimiento al Templo del SEÑOR; poned vuestro corazón.
19 Is the seede yet in the barne? as yet the vine, and the figtree, and the pomegranate, and the oliue tree hath not brought forth: from this day will I blesse you.
¿Aún no est la simiente en el granero? Ni aún la vid, ni la higuera, ni el granado, ni el rbol de la oliva ha florecido todavía; mas desde este día daré bendición.
20 And againe the worde of the Lord came vnto Haggai in the foure and twentieth day of the moneth, saying,
Y vino segunda vez palabra del SEÑOR a Hageo, a los veinticuatro del mismo mes, diciendo:
21 Speake to Zerubbabel the prince of Iudah, and say, I wil shake the heauens and the earth,
Habla a Zorobabel, gobernador de Jud, diciendo: Yo hago temblar los cielos y la tierra;
22 And I will ouerthrowe the throne of kingdomes, and I wil destroy the strength of the kingdomes of the heathen, and I wil ouerthrowe the charets, and those that ride in them, and the horse and the riders shall come downe, euery one by the sword of his brother.
Y trastornaré el trono de los reinos, y destruiré la fuerza del reino de los gentiles; y trastornaré el carro, y los que en él suben; y vendr n abajo los caballos, y los que en ellos suben, cada cual por la espada de su hermano.
23 In that day, saith the Lord of hostes, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel my seruant, the sonne of Shealtiel, sayth the Lord, and wil make thee as a signet: for I haue chosen thee, sayth the Lord of hostes.
En aquel día, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, te tomaré, oh Zorobabel, hijo de Salatiel, siervo mío, dijo el SEÑOR, y te pondré como anillo de sellar; porque yo te escogí, dice el SEÑOR de los ejércitos.
