Haggai 2

1 In the seuenth moneth, in the one and twentieth day of the moneth, came the worde of the Lord by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,

Am vierundzwanzigsten Tage des sechsten Monden, im andern Jahr des Königs Darius,

2 Speake nowe to Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,

am einundzwanzigsten Tage des siebenten Monden, geschah des HERRN Wort durch den Propheten Haggai und sprach:

3 Who is left among you, that sawe this House in her first glory, and howe doe you see it nowe? is it not in your eyes, in comparison of it as nothing?

Sage zu Serubabel, dem Sohn Sealthiels, dem Fürsten Judas, und zu Josua, dem Sohn Jozadaks, dem Hohenpriester, und zum übrigen Volk und sprich:

4 Yet nowe be of good courage, O Zerubbabel, sayth the Lord, and be of good comfort, O Iehoshua, sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest: and be strong, all ye people of the land, sayth the Lord, and doe it: for I am with you, sayth the Lord of hostes,

Wer ist unter euch überblieben, der dies Haus in seiner vorigen HERRLIchkeit gesehen hat? Und wie sehet ihr's nun an? Ist's nicht also, es dünket euch nichts sein?

5 According to the worde that I couenanted with you, when ye came out of Egypt: so my Spirite shall remaine among you, feare ye not.

Und nun, Serubabel, sei getrost, spricht der HERR; sei getrost, Josua, du Sohn Jozadaks, du Hoherpriester; sei getrost, alles Volk im Lande, spricht der HERR, und arbeitet! Denn ich bin mit euch, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.

6 For thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Yet a litle while, and I will shake the heauens and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land:

Nach dem Wort, da ich mit euch einen Bund machte, da ihr aus Ägypten zoget, soll mein Geist unter euch bleiben. Fürchtet euch nicht!

7 And I will moue all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come, and I will fill this House with glory, sayth the Lord of hostes.

Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Es ist noch ein Kleines dahin, daß ich Himmel und Erde und das Meer und Trockene bewegen werde.

8 The siluer is mine, and the golde is mine, sayth the Lord of hostes.

Ja, alle Heiden will ich bewegen. Da soll dann kommen aller Heiden Trost. Und ich will dies Haus voll HERRLIchkeit machen, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.

9 The glory of this last House shall be greater then the first, sayth the Lord of hostes: and in this place will I giue peace, sayth the Lord of hostes.

Denn mein ist beides, Silber und Gold, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.

10 In the foure and twentieth day of the ninth moneth, in the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lord vnto the Prophet Haggai, saying,

Es soll die HERRLIchkeit dieses letzten Hauses größer weiden, denn des ersten gewesen ist, spricht der HERR Zebaoth; und ich will Frieden geben an diesem Ort, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.

11 Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Aske nowe the Priests concerning the Law, and say,

Am vierundzwanzigsten Tage des neunten Monden, im andern Jahr Darius, geschah des HERRN Wort zu dem Propheten Haggai und sprach:

12 If one beare holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt doe touch the bread, or the potage, or the wine, or oyle, or any meate, shall it be holy? And the Priests answered and said, No.

So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Frage die Priester um das Gesetz und sprich:

13 Then sayde Haggai, If a polluted person touch any of these, shall it be vncleane? And the Priests answered, and sayd, It shalbe vncleane.

Wenn jemand heilig Fleisch trüge in seines Kleides Geren und rührete danach an mit seinem Geren Brot, Gemüse, Wein, Öl, oder was es für Speise wäre, würde es auch heilig? Und die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Nein.

14 Then answered Haggai, and sayd, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the Lord: and so are all the workes of their hands, and that which they offer here, is vncleane.

Haggai sprach: Wo aber ein Unreiner von einem berührten Aas dieser eines anrührete, würde es auch unrein? Die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Es würde unrein.

15 And nowe, I pray you, consider in your mindes: from this day, and afore, euen afore a stone was layde vpon a stone in the Temple of the Lord:

Da antwortete Haggai und sprach: Eben also sind dies Volk und diese Leute vor mir auch, spricht der HERR; und all ihrer Hände Werk, und was sie opfern, ist unrein.

16 Before these things were, when one came to an heape of twentie measures, there were but ten: when one came to the wine presse for to drawe out fiftie vessels out of the presse, there were but twentie.

Und nun schauet, wie es euch gegangen ist von diesem Tage an und zuvor, ehe denn ein Stein auf den andern gelegt ward am Tempel des HERRN:

17 I smote you with blasting, and with mildewe, and with haile, in all the labours of your hands: yet you turned not to me, saith the Lord.

daß, wenn einer zum Kornhaufen kam, der zwanzig Maß haben sollte, so waren kaum zehn da; kam er zur Kelter und meinete, fünfzig Eimer zu schöpfen, so waren kaum zwanzig da.

18 Consider, I pray you, in your mindes, from this day, and afore from the foure and twentieth day of the ninth moneth, euen from the day that the foundation of the Lords Temple was laide: consider it in your mindes.

Denn ich plagte euch mit Dürre, Brandkorn und Hagel in all eurer Arbeit; noch kehretet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht der HERR.

19 Is the seede yet in the barne? as yet the vine, and the figtree, and the pomegranate, and the oliue tree hath not brought forth: from this day will I blesse you.

So schauet nun darauf, von diesem Tage an und zuvor, nämlich von dem vierundzwanzigsten Tage des neunten Monden bis an den Tag, da der Tempel des HERRN gegründet ist, schauet darauf!

20 And againe the worde of the Lord came vnto Haggai in the foure and twentieth day of the moneth, saying,

Denn der Same liegt noch in der Scheuer und trägt noch nichts, weder Weinstöcke, Feigenbäume, Granatbäume noch Ölbäume; aber von diesem Tage an will ich Segen geben.

21 Speake to Zerubbabel the prince of Iudah, and say, I wil shake the heauens and the earth,

Und des HERRN Wort geschah zum andernmal zu Haggai, am vierundzwanzigsten Tage des Monden, und sprach:

22 And I will ouerthrowe the throne of kingdomes, and I wil destroy the strength of the kingdomes of the heathen, and I wil ouerthrowe the charets, and those that ride in them, and the horse and the riders shall come downe, euery one by the sword of his brother.

Sage Serubabel, dem Fürsten Judas, und sprich: Ich will Himmel und Erde bewegen

23 In that day, saith the Lord of hostes, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel my seruant, the sonne of Shealtiel, sayth the Lord, and wil make thee as a signet: for I haue chosen thee, sayth the Lord of hostes.

und will die Stühle der Königreiche umkehren und die mächtigen Königreiche der Heiden vertilgen und will beide, Wagen mit ihren Reitern, umkehren, daß beide, Roß und Mann, herunterfallen sollen, ein jeglicher durch des andern Schwert.
