Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heauen and the earth.
Εν αρχή εποίησεν ο Θεός τον ουρανόν και την γην.
2 And the earth was without forme and void, and darkenesse was vpon the deepe, and the Spirit of God mooued vpon the waters.
Η δε γη ήτο άμορφος και έρημος· και σκότος επί του προσώπου της αβύσσου. Και πνεύμα Θεού εφέρετο επί της επιφανείας των υδάτων.
3 Then God said, Let there be light: And there was light.
Και είπεν ο Θεός, Γενηθήτω φώς· και έγεινε φώς·
4 And God saw the light that it was good, and God separated the light from the darkenes.
και είδεν ο Θεός το φως ότι ήτο καλόν· και διεχώρισεν ο Θεός το φως από του σκότους·
5 And God called the Light, Day, and the darkenes, he called Night. So the euening and the morning were the first day.
και εκάλεσεν ο Θεός το φως, Ημέραν· το δε σκότος εκάλεσε, Νύκτα. Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα πρώτη.
6 Againe God said, Let there be a firmament in the mids of the waters: and let it separate the waters from the waters.
Και είπεν ο Θεός, Γενηθήτω στερέωμα αναμέσον των υδάτων, και ας διαχωρίζη ύδατα από υδάτων.
7 Then God made the firmament, and separated the waters, which were vnder the firmament, from the waters which were aboue the firmament: and it was so.
Και εποίησεν ο Θεός το στερέωμα, και διεχώρισε τα ύδατα τα υποκάτωθεν του στερεώματος από των υδάτων των επάνωθεν του στερεώματος. Και έγεινεν ούτω.
8 And God called the firmament Heauen. So the Euening and the morning were the second day.
Και εκάλεσεν ο Θεός το στερέωμα, Ουρανόν. Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα δευτέρα.
9 God said againe, Let the waters vnder the heauen be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appeare. and it was so.
Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ας συναχθώσι τα ύδατα τα υποκάτω του ουρανού εις τόπον ένα, και ας φανή η ξηρά. Και έγεινεν ούτω.
10 And God called the dry land, Earth, and he called the gathering together of the waters, Seas: and God saw that it was good.
Και εκάλεσεν ο Θεός την ξηράν, γήν· και το σύναγμα των υδάτων εκάλεσε, Θαλάσσας· και είδεν ο Θεός ότι ήτο καλόν.
11 Then God said, Let the earth bud forth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seed, the fruitfull tree, which beareth fruite according to his kinde, which hath his seede in it selfe vpon the earth: and it was so.
Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ας βλαστήση η γη χλωρόν χόρτον, χόρτον κάμνοντα σπόρον, και δένδρον κάρπιμον κάμνον καρπόν κατά το είδος αυτού, του οποίου το σπέρμα να ήναι εν αυτώ επί της γης. Και έγεινεν ούτω.
12 And the earth brought foorth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seede according to his kind, also the tree that beareth fruit, which hath his seed in it selfe according to his kinde: and God saw that it was good.
Και εβλάστησεν η γη χλωρόν χόρτον, χόρτον κάμνοντα σπόρον κατά το είδος αυτού, και δένδρον κάμνον καρπόν, του οποίου το σπέρμα είναι εν αυτώ κατά το είδος αυτού· και είδεν ο Θεός ότι ήτο καλόν.
13 So the euening and the morning were the third day.
Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα τρίτη.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heauen, to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signes, and for seasons, and for dayes and yeeres.
Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ας γείνωσι φωστήρες εν τω στερεώματι του ουρανού, διά να διαχωρίζωσι την ημέραν από της νυκτός· και ας ήναι διά σημεία και καιρούς και ημέρας και ενιαυτούς·
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heauen to giue light vpon the earth: and it was so.
και ας ήναι διά φωστήρας εν τω στερεώματι του ουρανού, διά να φέγγωσιν επί της γης. Και έγεινεν ούτω.
16 God then made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesse light to rule the night: he made also the starres.
Και έκαμεν ο Θεός τους δύο φωστήρας τους μεγάλους, τον φωστήρα τον μέγαν διά να εξουσιάζη επί της ημέρας, και τον φωστήρα τον μικρόν διά να εξουσιάζη επί της νυκτός· και τους αστέρας·
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heauen, to shine vpon the earth,
και έθεσεν αυτούς ο Θεός εν τω στερεώματι του ουρανού, διά να φέγγωσιν επί της γης,
18 And to rule in the day, and in the night, and to separate the light from the darkenesse: and God saw that it was good.
και να εξουσιάζωσιν επί της ημέρας και επί της νυκτός και να διαχωρίζωσι το φως από του σκότους. Και είδεν ο Θεός ότι ήτο καλόν.
19 So the euening and the morning were the fourth day.
Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα τετάρτη.
20 Afterward God said, Let the waters bring foorth in abundance euery creeping thing that hath life: and let the foule flie vpon the earth in the open firmament of the heauen.
Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ας γεννήσωσι τα ύδατα εν αφθονία νηκτά έμψυχα και πετεινά ας πέτωνται επάνωθεν της γης κατά το στερέωμα του ουρανού.
21 Then God created the great whales, and euery thing liuing and mouing, which the waters brought foorth in abundance according to their kinde, and euery fethered foule according to his kinde: and God sawe that it was good.
Και εποίησεν ο Θεός τα κήτη τα μεγάλα και παν έμψυχον κινούμενον, τα οποία εγέννησαν εν αφθονία τα ύδατα κατά το είδος αυτών, και παν πετεινόν πτερωτόν κατά το είδος αυτού. Και είδεν ο Θεός ότι ήτο καλόν.
22 Then God blessed them, saying, Bring foorth fruite and multiplie, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the foule multiplie in the earth.
Και ευλόγησεν αυτά ο Θεός, λέγων, Αυξάνεσθε και πληθύνεσθε και γεμίσατε τα ύδατα εν ταις θαλάσσαις· και τα πετεινά ας πληθύνωνται επί της γης.
23 So the euening and the morning were the fifte day.
Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα πέμπτη.
24 Moreouer God said, Let the earth bring foorth the liuing thing according to his kinde, cattel, and that which creepeth, and the beast of the earth, according to his kinde. and it was so.
Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ας γεννήση η γη ζώα έμψυχα κατά το είδος αυτών, κτήνη και ερπετά και ζώα της γης κατά το είδος αυτών· και έγεινεν ούτω.
25 And God made the beast of the earth according to his kinde, and the cattell according to his kinde, and euery creeping thing of the earth according to his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Και έκαμεν ο Θεός τα ζώα της γης κατά το είδος αυτών, και τα κτήνη κατά το είδος αυτών, και παν ερπετόν της γης κατά το είδος αυτού. Και είδεν ο Θεός ότι ήτο καλόν.
26 Furthermore God said, Let vs make man in our image according to our likenes, and let them rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer the beastes, and ouer all the earth, and ouer euery thing that creepeth and moueth on the earth.
Και είπεν ο θεός, Ας κάμωμεν άνθρωπον κατ' εικόνα ημών, καθ' ομοίωσιν ημών· και ας εξουσιάζη επί των ιχθύων της θαλάσσης και επί των πετεινών του ουρανού και επί των κτηνών και επί πάσης της γης και επί παντός ερπετού, έρποντος επί της γης.
27 Thus God created the man in his image: in the image of God created he him: he created them male and female.
Και εποίησεν ο Θεός τον άνθρωπον κατ' εικόνα εαυτού· κατ' εικόνα Θεού εποίησεν αυτόν· άρσεν και θήλυ εποίησεν αυτούς·
28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, Bring forth fruite and multiplie, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer euery beast that moueth vpon the earth.
και ευλόγησεν αυτούς ο Θεός· και είπε προς αυτούς ο Θεός, Αυξάνεσθε και πληθύνεσθε και γεμίσατε την γην και κυριεύσατε αυτήν, και εξουσιάζετε επί των ιχθύων της θαλάσσης και επί των πετεινών του ουρανού και επί παντός ζώου κινουμένου επί της γης.
29 And God said, Beholde, I haue giuen vnto you euery herbe bearing seede, which is vpon al the earth, and euery tree, wherein is the fruite of a tree bearing seede: that shall be to you for meate.
Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ιδού, σας έδωκα πάντα χόρτον κάμνοντα σπόρον, όστις είναι επί του προσώπου πάσης της γης, και παν δένδρον, το οποίον έχει εν εαυτώ καρπόν δένδρου κάμνοντος σπόρον· ταύτα θέλουσιν είσθαι εις εσάς προς τροφήν·
30 Likewise to euery beast of the earth, and to euery foule of the heauen, and to euery thing that moueth vpon the earth, which hath life in it selfe, euery greene herbe shall be for meate. and it was so.
και εις πάντα τα ζώα της γης και εις πάντα τα πετεινά του ουρανού και εις παν ερπετόν έρπον επί της γης και έχον εν εαυτώ ψυχήν ζώσαν, έδωκα πάντα χλωρόν χόρτον εις τροφήν. Και έγεινεν ούτω.
31 And God sawe all that he had made, and loe, it was very good. So the euening and the morning were the sixt day.
Και είδεν ο Θεός πάντα όσα εποίησε· και ιδού, ήσαν καλά λίαν. Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα έκτη.
