Genesis 47

1 Then came Ioseph and tolde Pharaoh, and sayde, My father, and my brethren, and their sheepe, and their cattell, and all that they haue, are come out of the land of Canaan, and behold, they are in the land of Goshen.

Då kom Joseph och förkunnade det Pharao, och sade: Min fader och mine bröder, deras får och fä, och hvad de hafva, är kommet utu Canaans lande; och si, de äro i det landet Gosen.

2 And Ioseph tooke part of his brethren, euen fiue men, and presented them vnto Pharaoh.

Och han tog fem fina bröder och ställde dem för Pharao.

3 Then Pharaoh said vnto his brethren, What is your trade? And they answered Pharaoh, Thy seruants are shepheards, both we and our fathers.

Då sade Pharao till hans bröder: Hvad är edar handel? De svarade: Dine tjenare äro herdar, vi och våre fäder.

4 They sayde moreouer vnto Pharaoh, For to soiourne in ye lande are we come: for thy seruants haue no pasture for their sheepe, so sore is ye famine in the lande of Canaan. Nowe therefore, we pray thee, let thy seruants dwel in the land of Goshen.

Och sade ytterligare till Pharao: Vi äre komne till att bor med eder i landena; ty dine tjenare hafva ingen bet till deras boskap, så hårdt tvingar den hårde tiden Canaans land: Så gör väl, och låt dina tjenare bo i det landet Gosen.

5 Then spake Pharaoh to Ioseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come vnto thee.

Pharao sade till Joseph: Det är din fader, och det äro dine bröder, de äro komne till dig.

6 The lande of Egypt is before thee: in the best place of the land make thy father and thy brethren dwel: let the dwel in the land of Goshen: and if thou knowest that there be men of actiuitie among them, make them rulers ouer my cattell.

Egypti land står dig öppet; låt dem bo på bästa platsen i landena, att de må bo i det landet Gosen. Och om du vetst några män ibland dem, som dogse äro, så sätt dem öfver min boskap.

7 Ioseph also brought Iaakob his father, and set him before Pharaoh. And Iaakob saluted Pharaoh.

Joseph hade ock sin fader Jacob in, och ställde honom för Pharao: Och Jacob välsignade Pharao.

8 Then Pharaoh sayde vnto Iaakob, Howe olde art thou?

Men Pharao frågade Jacob: Huru gammal äst du:

9 And Iaakob sayd vnto Pharaoh, The whole time of my pilgrimage is an hundreth and thirty yeeres: fewe and euill haue the dayes of my life bene, and I haue not attayned vnto the yeeres of the life of my fathers, in the dayes of their pilgrimages.

Jacob sade: Mins eländes tid är hundrade och tretio år; liten och onder är min eländes tid, och räcker intet till mina fäders eländes tid.

10 And Iaakob tooke leaue of Pharaoh, and departed from the presence of Pharaoh.

Och Jacob välsignade Pharao, och gick ut ifrå honom.

11 And Ioseph placed his father, and his brethren, and gaue them possession in the lande of Egypt, in the best of the land, euen in the lande of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.

Men Joseph skaffade sinom fader och sina bröder boning, och gaf dem en besittning i Egypti lande, på bästa platsen i landena, nemliga i det landet Rameses, såsom Pharao budit hade.

12 And Ioseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his fathers houshold with bread, euen to the yong children.

Och han försörjde sin fader och sina bröder, och hela sins faders hus, hvarjom och enom sin del bröd, allt ifrå de gamla intill de unga barn.

13 Now there was no bread in all the land: for the famine was exceeding sore: so that the land of Egypt, and the land of Canaan were famished by reason of the famine.

Men i all land var intet bröd; ty att den dyre tiden var ganska svår, så att Egypten och Canaans land svolte för den dyra tidens skull.

14 And Ioseph gathered all the money, that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corne which they bought, and Ioseph layd vp the money in Pharaohs house.

Och Joseph samkade alla de penningar tillhopa, som funnos i Egypten och Canaan, för mälning, som de köpte; och han lät alla penningarna komma i Pharaos hus.

15 So when money fayled in the lande of Egypt, and in the lande of Canaan, then all the Egyptians came vnto Ioseph, and sayde, Giue vs bread: for why should we dye before thee? for our money is spent.

Då nu penningarne fattades i Egypti land och Canaan, kommo alle Egyptier till Joseph, och sade: Skaffa oss bröd; hvi låter du oss dö för dig, derföre att vi hafve inga penningar?

16 Then saide Ioseph, Bring your cattell, and I will giue you for your cattell, if your money be spent.

Joseph sade: Skaffer hit edar boskap, så vill jag gifva eder för boskapen, medan I ären utan penningar.

17 So they brought their cattell vnto Ioseph, and Ioseph gaue them bread for the horses, and for the flockes of sheepe, and for the heards of cattel, and for the asses: so he fed them with bread for all their cattell that yeere.

Då hade de deras boskap till Joseph, och han gaf dem bröd för deras hästar, får, fä och åsnar: Så födde han dem det året med bröd för all deras boskap.

18 But when the yeere was ended, they came vnto him the next yeere, and sayd vnto him, We will not hide from my lord, that since our money is spent, and my lord hath the heards of the cattel, there is nothing left in the sight of my lorde, but our bodies and our ground.

Då året var omlidet, kommo de till honom på andra året, och sade till honom: Vi vilje icke döljat för vår herra, att icke allena penningarne, utan ock all vår boskap är borto när vår herra, och är intet mer qvart för vår herra, utan allena vår kropp och åker.

19 Why shall we perish in thy sight, both we, and our land? bye vs and our land for bread, and we and our land will be bonde to Pharaoh: therefore giue vs seede, that we may liue and not dye, and that the land go not to waste.

Hvi låter du både oss och vår åker dö? Tag oss till dig, och vårt land, för bröd, att vi och vårt land måge vara Pharaos egne; gif oss säd, att vi må lefva och icke åkren icke förlägges.

20 So Ioseph bought all the lande of Egypt for Pharaoh: for the Egyptians solde euery man his ground because the famine was sore vpon the: so the land became Pharaohs.

Så tog Joseph hela Egypti land in till Pharao; ty de Egyptier sålde hvar sin åker; ty den hårde tiden var allt för stark öfver dem. Och vardt så landet Pharaos eget,

21 And he remoued the people vnto the cities, from one side of Egypt euen to the other.

Med folket, som i hans städer ut och ingick, ifrå den ena ändan i Egypten intill den andra.

22 Onely the lande of the Priestes bought he not: for the Priestes had an ordinarie of Pharaoh, and they did eate their ordinarie, which Pharaoh gaue them: wherefore they solde not their grounde.

Undantagen Presternas åker, den tog han icke in; ty det var förskickadt af Pharao till Presterna, att de äta skulle det dem benämndt var, det han dem gaf; derföre behöfde de icke sälja sina åkrar.

23 Then Ioseph sayd vnto the people, Behold, I haue bought you this daye, and your lande for Pharaoh: lo, here is seede for you: sowe therefore the grounde.

Då sade Joseph till folket: Si, jag hafver i dag intagit eder och edar åker till Pharao: Si, der hafven I säd, och sår åkren.

24 And of the encrease ye shall giue the fifth part vnto Pharaoh, and foure partes shalbe yours for the seede of the fielde, and for your meate, and for them of your housholdes, and for your children to eate.

Och af växtenom skolen I gifva Pharao den femte delen; fyra delar skola vara edre till att så åkren med till edor spisning, och till edor hus och barn.

25 Then they answered, Thou hast saued our liues: let vs finde grace in the sight of my Lord, and we will be Pharaohs seruants.

De sade: Allenast låt oss lefva, och finna nåd för dig vårom herra, vi vilje gerna vara Pharaos egne.

26 Then Ioseph made it a lawe ouer the land of Egypt vnto this day, that Pharaoh should haue the fift part, except the land of the priests only, which was not Pharaohs.

Så gjorde Joseph dem en lag allt intill denna dag, öfver de Egyptiers åker, till att gifva Pharao den femte delen, undantagnom Prestaåkrenom, den vardt icke Pharaos egen.

27 And Israel dwelt in the lande of Egypt, in the countrey of Goshen: and they had their possessions therein, and grewe and multiplied exceedingly.

Så bodde Israel i Egypten, i det landet Gosen, och hadet inne, och växte till, och förökades svårliga.

28 Moreouer, Iaakob liued in the lande of Egypt seuenteene yeeres, so that the whole age of Iaakob was an hundreth fourtie and seuen yeere.

Och Jacob lefde sjutton år i Egypti land, så att hans hela ålder vardt hundrade och sju och fyratio år.

29 Now when the time drewe neere that Israel must dye, he called his sonne Ioseph, and sayde vnto him, If I haue nowe founde grace in thy sight, put thine hand nowe vnder my thigh, and deale mercifully and truely with me: burie me not, I pray thee, in Egypt.

Då nu tiden kom, att Israel dö skulle, kallade han sin son Joseph, och sade till honom: Hafver jag funnit nåd för dig, så lägg dina hand under mina länd, att du gör barmhertighet och trohet med mig, och begrafver mig icke uti Egypten.

30 But when I shall sleepe with my fathers, thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury mee in their buryall. And he answered, I will doe as thou hast sayde.

Utan jag vill ligga när mina fäder, och du skall föra mig ut af Egypten, och begraf mig i deras grifter. Han sade: Jag vill göra som du hafver sagt.

31 The he said, Sweare vnto me. And he sware vnto him. And Israel worshipped towardes the beds head.

Och han sade: Så svär mig. Och han svor honom. Då böjde Israel sig intill sängenes hufvudgärd.
