Genesis 47
1 Then came Ioseph and tolde Pharaoh, and sayde, My father, and my brethren, and their sheepe, and their cattell, and all that they haue, are come out of the land of Canaan, and behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
Então veio José, e anunciou a faraó, e disse: Meu pai, e os meus irmãos, e as suas ovelhas, e as suas vacas, com tudo o que tem, são vindos da terra de Canaan, e eis que estão na terra de Gosen
2 And Ioseph tooke part of his brethren, euen fiue men, and presented them vnto Pharaoh.
E tomou uma parte de seus irmãos, a saber cinco varões, e os pôs diante de faraó.
3 Then Pharaoh said vnto his brethren, What is your trade? And they answered Pharaoh, Thy seruants are shepheards, both we and our fathers.
Então disse faraó a seus irmãos: Qual é vosso negócio? E eles disseram a faraó: Teus servos são pastores de ovelhas, tanto nós como nossos pais.
4 They sayde moreouer vnto Pharaoh, For to soiourne in ye lande are we come: for thy seruants haue no pasture for their sheepe, so sore is ye famine in the lande of Canaan. Nowe therefore, we pray thee, let thy seruants dwel in the land of Goshen.
Disseram mais a faraó: Viemos para peregrinar nesta terra; porque não há pasto para as ovelhas de teus servos, porquanto a fome é grave na terra de Canaan; agora pois rogamos-te que teus servos habitem na terra de Gosen.
5 Then spake Pharaoh to Ioseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come vnto thee.
Então falou faraó a José, dizendo: Teu pai e teus irmãos vieram a ti:
6 The lande of Egypt is before thee: in the best place of the land make thy father and thy brethren dwel: let the dwel in the land of Goshen: and if thou knowest that there be men of actiuitie among them, make them rulers ouer my cattell.
A terra do Egito está diante da tua face, no melhor da terra faze habitar teu pai e teus irmãos; habitem na terra de Gosen: e se sabes que entre eles há homens valentes, os porás por maiorais do gado, sobre o que eu tenho.
7 Ioseph also brought Iaakob his father, and set him before Pharaoh. And Iaakob saluted Pharaoh.
E trouxe José a Jacob, seu pai, e o pôs diante de faraó; e Jacob abençoou a faraó.
8 Then Pharaoh sayde vnto Iaakob, Howe olde art thou?
E faraó disse a Jacob: Quantos são os dias dos anos da tua vida?
9 And Iaakob sayd vnto Pharaoh, The whole time of my pilgrimage is an hundreth and thirty yeeres: fewe and euill haue the dayes of my life bene, and I haue not attayned vnto the yeeres of the life of my fathers, in the dayes of their pilgrimages.
E Jacob disse a faraó: Os dias dos anos das minhas peregrinações são cento e trinta anos; poucos e maus foram os dias dos anos da minha vida, e não chegaram aos dias dos anos da vida de meus pais nos dias das suas peregrinações.
10 And Iaakob tooke leaue of Pharaoh, and departed from the presence of Pharaoh.
E Jacob abençoou a faraó, e saiu de diante da face de faraó.
11 And Ioseph placed his father, and his brethren, and gaue them possession in the lande of Egypt, in the best of the land, euen in the lande of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
E José fez habitar a seu pai e seus irmãos, e deu-lhes possessão na terra do Egito, no melhor da terra, na terra de Rameses, como faraó ordenara.
12 And Ioseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his fathers houshold with bread, euen to the yong children.
E José sustentou de pão a seu pai, e seus irmãos, e toda a casa de seu pai, segundo os seus meninos.
13 Now there was no bread in all the land: for the famine was exceeding sore: so that the land of Egypt, and the land of Canaan were famished by reason of the famine.
E não havia pão em toda a terra, porque a fome era mui grave; de maneira que a terra do Egito e a terra de Canaan desfaleciam por causa da fome.
14 And Ioseph gathered all the money, that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corne which they bought, and Ioseph layd vp the money in Pharaohs house.
Então José recolheu todo o dinheiro que se achou na terra do Egito, e na terra de Canaan, pelo trigo que compravam: e José trouxe o dinheiro à casa de faraó.
15 So when money fayled in the lande of Egypt, and in the lande of Canaan, then all the Egyptians came vnto Ioseph, and sayde, Giue vs bread: for why should we dye before thee? for our money is spent.
Acabando-se pois o dinheiro da terra do Egito, e da terra de Canaan, vieram todos os egípcios a José, dizendo: Dá-nos pão; porque morreremos em tua presença? porquanto o dinheiro nos falta.
16 Then saide Ioseph, Bring your cattell, and I will giue you for your cattell, if your money be spent.
E José disse: dai o vosso gado, e eu vo-lo darei por vosso gado, se falta o dinheiro.
17 So they brought their cattell vnto Ioseph, and Ioseph gaue them bread for the horses, and for the flockes of sheepe, and for the heards of cattel, and for the asses: so he fed them with bread for all their cattell that yeere.
Então trouxeram o seu gado a José: e José deu-lhes pão em troca de cavalos, e do gado das ovelhas, e do gado das vacas e dos jumentos; e os sustentou de pão aquele ano por todo o seu gado
18 But when the yeere was ended, they came vnto him the next yeere, and sayd vnto him, We will not hide from my lord, that since our money is spent, and my lord hath the heards of the cattel, there is nothing left in the sight of my lorde, but our bodies and our ground.
E acabado aquele ano, vieram a ele no segundo ano, e disseram-lhe: Não ocultaremos ao meu senhor que o dinheiro é acabado, e meu senhor possui os animais, e nenhuma outra coisa nos ficou diante da face de meu senhor, senão o nosso corpo e a nossa terra;
19 Why shall we perish in thy sight, both we, and our land? bye vs and our land for bread, and we and our land will be bonde to Pharaoh: therefore giue vs seede, that we may liue and not dye, and that the land go not to waste.
Porque morreremos diante dos teus olhos, tanto nós como a nossa terra? compra-nos a nós e à nossa terra por pão, e nós e a nossa terra seremos servos de faraó, e dá semente para que vivamos, e não morramos, e a terra não se desole.
20 So Ioseph bought all the lande of Egypt for Pharaoh: for the Egyptians solde euery man his ground because the famine was sore vpon the: so the land became Pharaohs.
Assim José comprou toda a terra do Egito para faraó, porque os egípcios venderam cada um o seu campo, porquanto a fome prevaleceu sobre eles: e a terra ficou sendo de faraó.
21 And he remoued the people vnto the cities, from one side of Egypt euen to the other.
E, quanto ao povo, fê-lo passar às cidades, desde uma extremidade da terra do Egito até à outra extremidade.
22 Onely the lande of the Priestes bought he not: for the Priestes had an ordinarie of Pharaoh, and they did eate their ordinarie, which Pharaoh gaue them: wherefore they solde not their grounde.
Somente a terra dos sacerdotes não a comprou, porquanto os sacerdotes tinham porção de faraó, e eles comiam a sua porção que faraó lhes tinha dado; por isso não venderam a sua terra.
23 Then Ioseph sayd vnto the people, Behold, I haue bought you this daye, and your lande for Pharaoh: lo, here is seede for you: sowe therefore the grounde.
Então disse José ao povo: Eis que hoje tenho comprado a vós e a vossa terra para faraó; eis ai tendes semente para vós, para que semeeis a terra.
24 And of the encrease ye shall giue the fifth part vnto Pharaoh, and foure partes shalbe yours for the seede of the fielde, and for your meate, and for them of your housholdes, and for your children to eate.
Há de ser, porém, que das colheitas dareis o quinto a faraó, e as quatro partes serão vossas, para semente do campo, e para o vosso mantimento, e dos que estão nas vossas casas, e para que comam vossos meninos.
25 Then they answered, Thou hast saued our liues: let vs finde grace in the sight of my Lord, and we will be Pharaohs seruants.
E disseram: A vida nos tens dado; achemos graça nos olhos de meu senhor, e seremos servos de faraó.
26 Then Ioseph made it a lawe ouer the land of Egypt vnto this day, that Pharaoh should haue the fift part, except the land of the priests only, which was not Pharaohs.
José pois pôs isto por estatuto até ao dia de hoje, sobre a terra do Egito, que faraó tirasse o quinto: só a terra dos sacerdotes não ficou sendo de faraó.
27 And Israel dwelt in the lande of Egypt, in the countrey of Goshen: and they had their possessions therein, and grewe and multiplied exceedingly.
Assim habitou Israel na terra do Egito, na terra de Gosen, e nela tomaram possessão, e frutificaram, e multiplicaram-se muito.
28 Moreouer, Iaakob liued in the lande of Egypt seuenteene yeeres, so that the whole age of Iaakob was an hundreth fourtie and seuen yeere.
E Jacob viveu na terra do Egito dezesete anos: de sorte que os dias de Jacob, os anos da sua vida, foram cento e quarenta e sete anos.
29 Now when the time drewe neere that Israel must dye, he called his sonne Ioseph, and sayde vnto him, If I haue nowe founde grace in thy sight, put thine hand nowe vnder my thigh, and deale mercifully and truely with me: burie me not, I pray thee, in Egypt.
Chegando-se pois o tempo da morte de Israel, chamou a José seu filho, e disse-lhe: Se agora tenho achado graça em teus olhos, rogo-te que ponhas a tua mão debaixo da minha coxa, e usa comigo de beneficência e verdade; rogo-te que me não enterres no Egito.
30 But when I shall sleepe with my fathers, thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury mee in their buryall. And he answered, I will doe as thou hast sayde.
Mas que eu jaza com os meus pais; por isso me levarás do Egito, e me sepultarás na sepultura deles. E ele disse: Farei conforme a tua palavra.
31 The he said, Sweare vnto me. And he sware vnto him. And Israel worshipped towardes the beds head.
E disse ele: Jura-me. E ele jurou-lhe; e Israel inclinou-se sobre a cabeceira da cama.
