Genesis 36
1 Nowe these are the generations of Esau, which is Edom.

2 Esau tooke his wiues of the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon an Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon an Hiuite,
Naʻe maʻu ʻe ʻIsoa hono ngaahi uaifi mei he fānau fefine ʻo Kēnani; ko ʻAta ko e ʻofefine ʻo ʻEloni ko e tangata Heti, mo ʻAholipama ko e taʻahine ʻo ʻAna, ko e ʻofefine ʻo Sipione, ko e tangata Hevi.
3 And tooke Basemath Ishmaels daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
Mo Pasimati ko e ʻofefine ʻo ʻIsimeʻeli, ko e tuofefine ʻo Nepeoti.
4 And Adah bare vnto Esau, Eliphaz: and Basemath bare Reuel.
Pea naʻe fānau ʻe ʻAta kia ʻIsoa, ʻa ʻIlifasi; pea fanauʻi ʻe Pasimati ʻa Leueli.
5 Also Aholibamah bare Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah: these are the sonnes of Esau which were borne to him in the land of Canaan.
Pea fanauʻi ʻe ʻAholipama, ʻa Seusi, mo Salami, mo Kola; ko e ngaahi foha eni ʻo ʻIsoa, naʻe fanauʻi kiate ia ʻi he fonua ko Kēnani.
6 So Esau tooke his wiues and his sonnes, and his daughters, and all the soules of his house, and his flocks, and all his cattell, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan, and went into an other countrey from his brother Iaakob.
Pea naʻe ʻave ʻe ʻIsoa hono ngaahi uaifi, mo hono ngaahi foha, mo hono ngaahi ʻofefine, mo e kakai kotoa pē ʻo hono fale, mo ʻene fanga pulu, mo ʻene fanga manu, mo e meʻa kotoa pē ʻaia naʻa ne maʻu ʻi he fonua ko Kēnani; pea ʻalu mamaʻo ia ki he tukuʻuta, mei he ʻao ʻo hono tehina ko Sēkope.
7 For their riches were so great, that they could not dwell together, and the lande, wherein they were strangers, coulde not receiue them because of their flockes.

8 Therefore dwelt Esau in mount Seir: this Esau is Edom.
Pea pehē, naʻe nofo ʻa ʻIsoa ʻi he moʻunga ko Seia, pea ko ʻIsoa ko ʻItomi ia.
9 So these are the generations of Esau father of Edom in mount Seir.
Pea ko e ngaahi toʻutangata eni ʻo ʻIsoa, ko e tamai ʻae kakai ʻItomi, ʻi he moʻunga ko Seia.
10 These are the names of Esaus sonnes: Eliphaz, the sonne of Adah, the wife of Esau, and Reuel the sonne of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.
Ko e hingoa eni ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo ʻIsoa: ko ʻIlifasi ko e tama ʻa ʻAta ko e uaifi ʻo ʻIsoa; ko Leueli ko e tama ʻa Pasimati, ko e uaifi ʻo ʻIsoa.
11 And the sonnes of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻIlifasi, ko Temani, mo ʻOmaa, mo Sefo, mo Katami, mo Kinasi.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esaus sonne, and bare vnto Eliphaz, Amalek: these be the sonnes of Adah Esaus wife.
Pea ko Timina, ko e sinifu ia kia ʻIlifasi, ko e foha ʻo ʻIsoa, pea ne fāʻele kia ʻIlifasi, ʻa ʻAmaleki; ko e ngaahi tama ia ʻa ʻAta, ko e uaifi ʻo ʻIsoa.
13 And these are the sonnes of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
Pea ko e ngaahi foha eni ʻo Leueli ko Nehate, mo Sela, mo Sama, mo Misa: ko e ngaahi tama ia ʻa Pasimati, ko e uaifi ʻo ʻIsoa.
14 And these were the sonnes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon Esaus wife: for she bare vnto Esau, Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
Pea ko e ngaahi tama eni ʻa ʻAholipama, ko e uaifi ʻo ʻIsoa, ko e taʻahine ʻo ʻAna, ko e ʻofefine ʻo Sipione; naʻa ne fānau kia ʻIsoa ʻa Seusi, mo Salami, mo Kola.
15 These were Dukes of the sonnes of Esau: the sonnes of Eliphaz, the first borne of Esau: Duke Teman, Duke Omar, Duke Zepho, Duke Kenaz,
Pea ko e ngaahi ʻeiki eni ʻi he ngaahi foha ʻo ʻIsoa; ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻIlifasi, ko e ʻuluaki foha ʻo ʻIsoa; ko e ʻeiki ko Temani, ko e ʻeiki ko ʻOmaa, ko e ʻeiki ko Sefo, ko e ʻeiki ko Kinasi,
16 Duke Korah, Duke Gatam, Duke Amalek: these are the Dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom: these were the sonnes of Adah.
Ko e ʻeiki ko Kola, mo e ʻeiki ko Katami, mo e ʻeiki ko ʻAmaleki; ko e ngaahi ʻeiki ia [naʻe tupu ]ia ʻIlifasi ʻi he fonua ko ʻItomi; ko e ngaahi tama eni ʻa ʻAta.
17 And these are the sonnes of Reuel Esaus sonne: Duke Nahath, Duke Zerah, Duke Shammah, Duke Mizzah: these are the Dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom: these are the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.

18 Likewise these were the sonnes of Aholibamah Esaus wife: Duke Ieush, Duke Iaalam, Duke Korah: these Dukes came of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah Esaus wife.

19 These are the children of Esau, and these are the Dukes of them: This Esau is Edom.

20 These are the sonnes of Seir the Horite, which inhabited the lande before, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah.

21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the Dukes of the Horites, the sonnes of Seir in the land of Edom.

22 And the sonnes of Lotan were, Hori and Hemam, and Lotans sister was Timna.

23 And the sonnes of Shobal were these: Aluan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
Pea ko e fānau ʻa Sopale eni ko ʻAlivani, mo Maneate, mo ʻEpale, mo Sifo, mo ʻOnama.
24 And these are the sonnes of Zibeon: Both Aiah, and Anah: this was Anah that founde mules in the wildernesse, as he fedde his father Zibeons asses.
Pea ko e fānau eni ʻa Sipione ko ʻEiaa mo ʻAna; ko e ʻAna ia ʻaia naʻa ne ʻiloʻi ʻae fanga miuli ʻi he toafa, ʻi heʻene tauhi ʻae fanga ʻasi ʻa ʻene tamai ko Sipione.
25 And the children of Anah were these: Dishon and Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah.
Pea ko e fānau ʻa ʻAna ʻa eni; ko Tisoni mo ʻAholipama, ko e taʻahine ʻa ʻAna.
26 Also these are the sonnes of Dishan: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
Pea ko e fānau eni ʻa Tisoni; ko Hemitani, mo ʻEsipani, mo ʻItilani, mo Kilani.
27 The sonnes of Ezer are these: Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Akan.
Pea ko e fānau eni ʻa ʻEseli, ko Pilani, mo Sefani, mo ʻEkani.
28 The sonnes of Dishan are these: Vz, and Aran.
Pea ko e fānau eni ʻa Tisani; ko ʻUsa mo ʻAlani.
29 These are the Dukes of the Horites: Duke Lotan, Duke Shobal, Duke Zibeon, Duke Anah,
Ko eni ʻae ngaahi ʻeiki [naʻe tupu ]ʻi he kau Hoa; ko e ʻeiki ko Lotani, mo e ʻeiki ko Sopale, mo e ʻeiki ko Sipione, mo e ʻeiki ko ʻAna,
30 Duke Dishon, Duke Ezer, Duke Dishan: these bee the Dukes of the Horites, after their Dukedomes in the land of Seir.
Ko e ʻeiki ko Tisoni, mo e ʻeiki ko ʻEseli, mo e ʻeiki ko Tisani; ko e ngaahi ʻeiki eni naʻe tupu ia Holi, ʻi he ngaahi ʻeiki ʻi he fonua ko Seia.
31 And these are the Kings that reigned in the lande of Edom, before there reigned any King ouer the children of Israel.
Pea ko e ngaahi tuʻi eni naʻe pule ʻi he fonua ko ʻItomi, ʻi he teʻeki pule ha tuʻi ki he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli.
32 Then Bela the sonne of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
Ko Pela ko e foha ʻo Peoli, naʻe pule ia ki ʻItomi; pea ko e hingoa ʻo hono kolo ko Tinapa.
33 And when Bela dyed, Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozra reigned in his steade.
Pea pekia ʻa Pela, pea pule ʻi hono puleʻanga ʻa Sopapa ko e foha ʻo Sela ʻo Posila.
34 When Iobab also was dead, Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his steade.
Pea pekia ʻa Sopapa, pea pule ʻi hono puleʻanga ʻa Husami, mei he fonua ko Temani.
35 And after the death of Husham, Hadad the sonne of Bedad, which slewe Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
Pea pekia ʻa Husami, pea ko Hetati ko e foha ʻo Pitati, ʻaia naʻa ne taaʻi ʻa Mitiane, ʻi he ngoue ʻo Moape, naʻe pule ia ʻi hono puleʻanga; pea ko e hingoa ʻo hono kolo ko ʻEviti.
36 When Hadad was dead, then Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his steade.
Pea pekia ʻa Hetati, pea ko Samila mei Masileka, naʻa ne pule ʻi hono puleʻanga.
37 When Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer, reigned in his steade.
Pea pekia ʻa Samila, pea ko Saula mei Leopote ʻo ofi ki he vaitafe, naʻe pule ia ʻi hono puleʻanga.
38 When Shaul dyed, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his steade.
Pea pekia ʻa Saula, pea ko Pealihenani, ko e foha ʻo ʻAkepoa, naʻe pule ʻi hono puleʻanga.
39 And after the death of Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor, Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pau: and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
Pea pekia ʻa Pealihenani ko e foha ʻo ʻAkepoa; pea pule ʻa Hetali ʻi hono puleʻanga pea ko e hingoa ʻo hono kolo ko Pau pea ko e hingoa ʻo hono uaifi ko Mehetepeli, ko e ʻofefine ʻo Matileti, ko e ʻofefine ʻo Mesaʻapi.
40 Then these are the names of the Dukes of Esau according to their families, their places and by their names: Duke Timna, Duke Aluah, Duke Ietheth,

41 Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, Duke Pinon,
Ko e ʻeiki ko ʻAholipama, mo e ʻeiki ko ʻe ia, mo e ʻeiki ko Pinoni,
42 Duke Kenaz, Duke Teman, Duke Mibzar,
Mo e ʻeiki ko Kinasi, mo e ʻeiki ko Temani, mo e ʻeiki ko Mipisali,
43 Duke Magdiel, Duke Iram: these bee the Dukes of Edom, according to their habitations, in the lande of their inheritance. This Esau is the father of Edom.
Mo e ʻeiki ko Makiteli, mo e ʻeiki ko ʻIlami; ko e ngaahi ʻeiki eni ʻo ʻItomi, ʻo hangē ko honau nofoʻanga, ʻi honau ngaahi fonua: pea ko ʻIsoa, ko e tamai ia ʻae kakai ʻItomi.
