Genesis 36
1 Nowe these are the generations of Esau, which is Edom.
OR queste [sono] le generazioni di Esaù, che [è] Edom.
2 Esau tooke his wiues of the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon an Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon an Hiuite,
Esaù prese le sue mogli d'infra le figliuole de' Cananei; Ada, figliuola di Elon Hitteo; ed Oholibama, figliuola di Ana, e figliuola di Sibon Hivveo;
3 And tooke Basemath Ishmaels daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
e Basemat, figliuola d'Ismaele, sorella di Nebaiot.
4 And Adah bare vnto Esau, Eliphaz: and Basemath bare Reuel.
E Ada partorì ad Esaù Elifaz; e Basemat partorì Reuel.
5 Also Aholibamah bare Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah: these are the sonnes of Esau which were borne to him in the land of Canaan.
Ed Oholibama partorì Ieus, e Ialam, e Cora. Questi [sono] i figliuoli di Esaù, che gli nacquero nel paese di Canaan.
6 So Esau tooke his wiues and his sonnes, and his daughters, and all the soules of his house, and his flocks, and all his cattell, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan, and went into an other countrey from his brother Iaakob.
Ed Esaù prese le sue mogli, ed i suoi figliuoli, e le sue figliuole, e tutte le persone di casa sua, e le sue gregge, e tutte le sue bestie, e tutte le sue facoltà, che egli avea acquistate nel paese di Canaan; ed andò nel paese, lungi da Giacobbe, suo fratello.
7 For their riches were so great, that they could not dwell together, and the lande, wherein they were strangers, coulde not receiue them because of their flockes.
Perciocchè le lor facoltà erano troppo grandi, per poter dimorare insieme; e il paese, nel quale abitavano come forestieri, non li poteva comportare per cagion de' lor bestiami.
8 Therefore dwelt Esau in mount Seir: this Esau is Edom.
Ed Esaù abitò nella montagna di Seir. Esaù [è] Edom.
9 So these are the generations of Esau father of Edom in mount Seir.
E queste [sono] le generazioni di Esaù, padre degl'Idumei, nella montagna di Seir.
10 These are the names of Esaus sonnes: Eliphaz, the sonne of Adah, the wife of Esau, and Reuel the sonne of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.
Questi [sono] i nomi de' figliuoli di Esaù: Elifaz, figliuolo di Ada, moglie di Esaù; e Reuel, figliuolo di Basemat, moglie di Esaù.
11 And the sonnes of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
E i figliuoli di Elifaz furono Teman, Omar, Sefo, Gatam, e Chenaz.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esaus sonne, and bare vnto Eliphaz, Amalek: these be the sonnes of Adah Esaus wife.
E Timna fu concubina d'Elifaz, figliuolo di Esaù, e gli partorì Amalec. Questi [furono] i figliuoli di Ada moglie di Esaù.
13 And these are the sonnes of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
E questi [furono] i figliuoli di Reuel: Nahat, e Zera, e Samma, e Mizza. Questi furono i figliuoli di Basemat, moglie di Esaù.
14 And these were the sonnes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon Esaus wife: for she bare vnto Esau, Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
E questi furono i figliuoli d'Oholibama figliuola di Ana, figliuola di Sibon, moglie di Esaù. Ella partorì ad Esaù Ieus, Ialam e Cora.
15 These were Dukes of the sonnes of Esau: the sonnes of Eliphaz, the first borne of Esau: Duke Teman, Duke Omar, Duke Zepho, Duke Kenaz,
Questi [sono] i duchi de' figliuoli di Esaù: de' figliuoli di Elifaz, primogenito di Esaù, il duca Teman, il duca Omar, il duca Sefo, il duca Chenaz;
16 Duke Korah, Duke Gatam, Duke Amalek: these are the Dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom: these were the sonnes of Adah.
il duca Cora, il duca Gatam, il duca Amalec. Questi [furono] i duchi [della linea] di Elifaz, nel paese degl'Idumei. Essi [furono] dei figliuoli di Ada.
17 And these are the sonnes of Reuel Esaus sonne: Duke Nahath, Duke Zerah, Duke Shammah, Duke Mizzah: these are the Dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom: these are the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
E questi [furono i duchi de'] figliuoli di Reuel, figliuolo di Esaù: il duca Nahat, il duca Zera, il duca Samma, il duca Mizza. Questi [furono] i duchi [della linea] di Reuel, nel paese degl'Idumei. Questi [furono] de' figliuoli di Basemat, moglie di Esaù.
18 Likewise these were the sonnes of Aholibamah Esaus wife: Duke Ieush, Duke Iaalam, Duke Korah: these Dukes came of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah Esaus wife.
E questi [furono] de' figliuoli di Oholibama, moglie di Esaù: il duca Ieus, il duca Ialam, il duca Cora. Questi [furono] i duchi de' figliuoli di Oholibama, figliuola di Ana, moglie di Esaù.
19 These are the children of Esau, and these are the Dukes of them: This Esau is Edom.
Questi [furono] i figliuoli di Esaù, che [è] Edom; e questi [furono] i duchi [d'infra] loro.
20 These are the sonnes of Seir the Horite, which inhabited the lande before, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah.
Questi [furono] i figliuoli di Seir Horeo, i quali abitavano in quel paese [cioè: ] Lotan, e Sobal, e Sibon, ed Ana; e Dison, ed Eser, e Disan.
21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the Dukes of the Horites, the sonnes of Seir in the land of Edom.
Questi [furono] i duchi degli Horei, figliuoli di Seir, nel paese degl'Idumei.
22 And the sonnes of Lotan were, Hori and Hemam, and Lotans sister was Timna.
E i figliuoli di Lotan furono Hori, ed Hemam; e la sorella di Lotan [fu] Timna.
23 And the sonnes of Shobal were these: Aluan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
E questi [furono] i figliuoli di Sobal, [cioè: ] Alvan, e Manahat, ed Ebal, e Sefo, ed Onam.
24 And these are the sonnes of Zibeon: Both Aiah, and Anah: this was Anah that founde mules in the wildernesse, as he fedde his father Zibeons asses.
E questi [furono] i figliuoli di Sibon: Aia, ed Ana. [Questo] Ana [fu] colui che trovò le acque calde nel deserto, mentre pasturava gli asini di Sibon, suo padre.
25 And the children of Anah were these: Dishon and Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah.
E questi [furono] i figliuoli di Ana: Dison, ed Oholibama, figliuola di Ana.
26 Also these are the sonnes of Dishan: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
E questi [furono] i figliuoli di Dison: Hemdan, ed Esban, ed Itran, e Cheran.
27 The sonnes of Ezer are these: Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Akan.
Questi [furono] i figliuoli di Eser, [cioè: ] Bilhan, e Zaavan, ed Aran.
28 The sonnes of Dishan are these: Vz, and Aran.
Questi [furono] i figliuoli di Dison, [cioè: ] Us, ed Aran.
29 These are the Dukes of the Horites: Duke Lotan, Duke Shobal, Duke Zibeon, Duke Anah,
Questi [furono] i duchi degli Horei: il duca Lotan, il duca Sobal, il duca Sibon, il duca Ana;
30 Duke Dishon, Duke Ezer, Duke Dishan: these bee the Dukes of the Horites, after their Dukedomes in the land of Seir.
il duca Dison, il duca Eser, il duca Disan. Questi [furono] i duchi degli Horei, secondo [il numero de'] lor duchi nel paese di Seir.
31 And these are the Kings that reigned in the lande of Edom, before there reigned any King ouer the children of Israel.
E questi [furono] i re, che regnarono nel paese d'Idumea, avanti che re [alcuno] regnasse sopra i figliuoli d'Israele.
32 Then Bela the sonne of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
Bela, figliuolo di Beor, regnò in Idumea; e il nome della sua città [era] Dinhaba.
33 And when Bela dyed, Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozra reigned in his steade.
E, morto Bela, Iobab, figliuolo di Zera, da Bosra, regnò in luogo suo.
34 When Iobab also was dead, Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his steade.
E, morto Iobab, Husam, del paese de' Temaniti, regnò in luogo suo.
35 And after the death of Husham, Hadad the sonne of Bedad, which slewe Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
E, morto Husam, Hadad, figliuolo di Bedad, il qual percosse i Madianiti nel territorio di Moab, regnò in luogo suo; e il nome della sua città [era] Avit.
36 When Hadad was dead, then Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his steade.
E, morto Hadad, Samla, da Masreca, regnò in luogo suo.
37 When Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer, reigned in his steade.
E, morto Samla, Saul, da Rehobot del Fiume, regnò in luogo suo.
38 When Shaul dyed, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his steade.
E, morto Saul, Baal-hanan, figliuolo di Acbor, regnò in luogo suo.
39 And after the death of Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor, Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pau: and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
E, morto Baal-hanan, figliuolo di Acbor, Hadar regnò in luogo suo; il nome della cui città [era] Pau e il nome della sua moglie [era] Mehetabeel, figliuola di Matred, figliuola di Mezahab.
40 Then these are the names of the Dukes of Esau according to their families, their places and by their names: Duke Timna, Duke Aluah, Duke Ietheth,
E questi [sono] i nomi de' duchi di Esaù, per le lor famiglie, secondo i lor luoghi, [nominati] de' loro nomi: il duca Timna, il duca Alva, il duca Ietet;
41 Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, Duke Pinon,
il duca Oholibama, il duca Ela, il duca Pinon;
42 Duke Kenaz, Duke Teman, Duke Mibzar,
il duca Chenaz, il duca Teman, il duca Mibsar;
43 Duke Magdiel, Duke Iram: these bee the Dukes of Edom, according to their habitations, in the lande of their inheritance. This Esau is the father of Edom.
il duca Magdiel, e il duca Iram. Questi [furono] i duchi degl'Idumei, [spartiti] secondo le loro abitazioni, nel paese della lor possessione. Così Esaù [fu] padre degl'Idumei.
