< Genesis 33 >

1 And as Iaakob lift vp his eyes, and looked, behold, Esau came, and with him foure hundreth men: and he deuided the children to Leah, and to Rahel, and to the two maides.
Ary Jakoba dia nanopy ny masony ka nahatazana fa indro tamy Esao, mitondra efa-jato lahy. Dia nozarazarainy ny zaza ho amin’ i Lea sy Rahely ary ho amin’ ny ankizivavy roa.
2 And he put the maides, and their children formost, and Leah, and her children after, and Rahel, and Ioseph hindermost.
Ary nataony loha-lalana ny ankizivavy roa sy ny zanany, ary Lea sy ny zanany nanarakaraka, ary Rahely sy Josefa no vodi-lalana.
3 So he went before them and bowed him selfe to the ground seuen times, vntill he came neere to his brother.
Ary Jakoba nandeha teo alohan’ izy rehetra ka niankohoka impito tamin’ ny tany mandra-pahatongany teo akaikin’ ny rahalahiny.
4 Then Esau ranne to meete him, and embraced him, and fell on his necke, and kissed him, and they wept.
Dia nihazakazaka hitsena azy Esao, ary nisakambina ny tendany, dia namihina sy nanoroka azy; ary samy nitomany izy mirahalahy.
5 And he lift vp his eyes, and sawe the women, and the children, and saide, Who are these with thee? And he answered, They are ye childre whome God of his grace hath giuen thy seruant.
Ary Esao nanopy ny masony ka nahita ny zaza amim-behivavy; dia hoy izy: Iza moa ireto miaraka aminao ireto? Ary hoy kosa Jakoba: Ny zaza izay nomen’ Andriamanitra ny mpanomponao noho ny fahasoavany.
6 Then came the maides neere, they, and their children, and bowed themselues.
Dia nanatona ny ankizivavy sy ny zanany ka niankohoka.
7 Leah also with her children came neere and made obeysance: and after Ioseph and Rahel drew neere, and did reuerence.
Dia nanatona koa Lea sy ny zanany ka niankohoka; ary farany, dia nanatona koa Josefa sy Rahely ka niankohoka.
8 Then he said, What meanest thou by all this droue, which I met? Who answered, I haue sent it, that I may finde fauour in the sight of my lorde:
Ary hoy Esao: Inona moa no hevitr’ ireny antokony rehetra nifanena tamiko ireny? Ary hoy izy: Mba hahitako fitia eto imason’ itompokolahy.
9 And Esau said, I haue ynough, my brother: keepe that thou hast to thy selfe.
Ary dia hoy Esao: Manam-be ihany aho, ry rahalahiko; aoka ihany ho anao ny anao.
10 But Iaakob answered, Nay, I pray thee: if I haue found grace nowe in thy sight, then receiue my present at mine hande: for I haue seene thy face, as though I had seene the face of God, because thou hast accepted me.
Ary hoy Jakoba: Trarantitra ianao, aza an’ izany; raha mba mahita fitia eto imasonao aho, dia raiso amin’ ny tanako ny zavatra nampanateriko; fa efa nahita ny tavanao aho tahaka ny mahita ny tavan’ Andriamanitra, ary efa sitrakao aho.
11 I pray thee take my blessing, that is brought thee: for God hath had mercie on me, and therefore I haue all things: so he compelled him, and he tooke it.
Trarantitra ianao, raiso re ny saotro izay nampanaterina ho anao; fa efa nanisy soa ahy Andriamanitra, ka manam-be aho. Dia nanery azy izy, ka dia noraisiny ihany ny zavatra.
12 And he saide, Let vs take our iourney and go, and I will goe before thee.
Ary hoy Esao: Aoka hiainga isika, ka handeha hialoha anao aho.
13 Then he answered him, My lord knoweth, that the children are tender, and the ewes and kine with yong vnder mine hande: and if they should ouerdriue them one day, all the flocke would die.
Fa hoy Jakoba taminy: Fantatr’ itompokolahy fa mbola osa ny zaza, sady ampianahany ny ondry aman’ osy sy ny omby ato amiko; koa raha hokorodonina indray andro aza ireo, dia ho faty avokoa ny ondry aman’ osy rehetra.
14 Let now my lord go before his seruant, and I will driue softly, according to ye pase of ye cattel, which is before me, and as the children be able to endure, vntill I come to my lord vnto Seir.
Trarantitra ianao, aoka itompokolahy hialoha ny mpanompony; ary izaho handeha miadana araka izay dian’ ny omby aman’ ondry, izay ho eo alohako, sy ny dian’ ny zaza, mandra-pahatongako any amin’ itompokolahy any Seïra.
15 Then Esau said, I will leaue then some of my folke with thee. And he answered, what needeth this? let me finde grace in the sight of my lorde.
Ary hoy Esao: Masìna ianao, aoka ary mba hamelako hiaraka aminao ny olona izay momba ahy. Fa hoy Jakoba: Ahoana no anaovanao izany? Aoka hahita fitia eto imason’ itompokolahy aho.
16 So Esau returned, and went his way that same day vnto Seir.
Dia niverina androtrizay Esao tamin’ ny lalany ho any Seïra.
17 And Iaakob went forwarde towarde Succoth, and built him an house, and made boothes for his cattell: therefore he called the name of the place Succoth.
Ary Jakoba nifindra nankany Sokota ka nanao trano ho azy ary nanao trano rantsan-kazo maromaro ho an’ ny omby aman’ ondriny; izany no nanaovana ny anaran’ io tany io hoe Sokota.
18 Afterward, Iaakob came safe to Sheche a citie, which is in the lande of Canaan, when he came from Padan Aram, and pitched before the citie.
Ary Jakoba tonga soa aman-tsara tao an-tanàna Sekema, izay eo amin’ ny tany Kanana, rehefa avy tany Mesopotamia izy; dia nitoby tandrifin’ ny tanàna.
19 And there he bought a parcell of ground, where hee pitched his tent, at the hande of the sonnes of Hamor Shechems father, for an hundreth pieces of money.
Dia novidiny vola zato tamin’ ny zanak’ i Hamora, rain’ i Sekema, ny tany izay nanorenany ny lainy.
20 And he set vp there an altar, and called it, The mightie God of Israel.
Ary nanorina alitara teo izy, ka nataony hoe El-elohe-Isiraely ny anarany.
