< Genesis 33 >

1 And as Iaakob lift vp his eyes, and looked, behold, Esau came, and with him foure hundreth men: and he deuided the children to Leah, and to Rahel, and to the two maides.
Alò, Jacob te leve zye li. Li te gade, e gade byen, Ésaü t ap vini, ak kat-san òm avèk li. Konsa, li te divize pitit yo pami Léa avèk Rachel avèk de sèvant yo.
2 And he put the maides, and their children formost, and Leah, and her children after, and Rahel, and Ioseph hindermost.
Li te mete sèvant li yo devan, Léa avèk pitit li yo dèyè yo, e Rachel avèk Joseph an dènye.
3 So he went before them and bowed him selfe to the ground seuen times, vntill he came neere to his brother.
Men li menm te pran devan yo. Li te bese jis atè sèt fwa, jiskaske li te rive toupre frè li a.
4 Then Esau ranne to meete him, and embraced him, and fell on his necke, and kissed him, and they wept.
Ésaü te kouri al jwenn li. Li te anbrase li, te tonbe nan kou li e li te bo li. Konsa, yo te kriye.
5 And he lift vp his eyes, and sawe the women, and the children, and saide, Who are these with thee? And he answered, They are ye childre whome God of his grace hath giuen thy seruant.
Li te leve zye li pou wè fanm yo, e li te di: “Se kilès? Sila yo ki avèk ou la a?” Epi Jacob te di: “Pitit ke Bondye nan gras li te bay sèvitè ou.”
6 Then came the maides neere, they, and their children, and bowed themselues.
Alò, sèvant lakay yo te vin pwoche avèk pitit pa yo, e yo te bese ba.
7 Leah also with her children came neere and made obeysance: and after Ioseph and Rahel drew neere, and did reuerence.
Léa tou te apwoche avèk pitit li yo. Yo te bese ba. Apre, Joseph te vini avèk Rachel, e yo te bese ba.
8 Then he said, What meanest thou by all this droue, which I met? Who answered, I haue sent it, that I may finde fauour in the sight of my lorde:
Ésaü te di: “Kisa ou vle di ak tout ekip sa yo ke m rankontre la a?” Jacob te reponn: “Pou jwenn favè nan zye a mèt mwen.”
9 And Esau said, I haue ynough, my brother: keepe that thou hast to thy selfe.
Men Ésaü te di: “Mwen gen kont mwen, frè m; kite sa ou genyen yo rete pou ou.”
10 But Iaakob answered, Nay, I pray thee: if I haue found grace nowe in thy sight, then receiue my present at mine hande: for I haue seene thy face, as though I had seene the face of God, because thou hast accepted me.
Jacob te di: “Non, souple, si koulye a mwen twouve favè nan zye ou, alò, pran kado a nan men m, paske mwen wè figi ou tankou yon moun ki vin wè figi a Bondye, e ou te byen resevwa m.
11 I pray thee take my blessing, that is brought thee: for God hath had mercie on me, and therefore I haue all things: so he compelled him, and he tooke it.
Souple, pran kado ki te pote pou ou a, paske Bondye te aji avèk gras anvè mwen, e akoz sa m gen anpil:” Konsa, li te vin ankouraje l, e li te aksepte li.
12 And he saide, Let vs take our iourney and go, and I will goe before thee.
Konsa, Esaü te di: “Annou fè vwayaj nou. Ann ale, e mwen va ale devan nou.”
13 Then he answered him, My lord knoweth, that the children are tender, and the ewes and kine with yong vnder mine hande: and if they should ouerdriue them one day, all the flocke would die.
Men Jacob te di li: “Mèt mwen, ou konnen ke timoun yo frajil, e ke bann mouton avèk twoupo k ap bay tete yo se yon tèt chaje pou mwen. Si yo pouse twòp, menm pou yon jou, yo va mouri.
14 Let now my lord go before his seruant, and I will driue softly, according to ye pase of ye cattel, which is before me, and as the children be able to endure, vntill I come to my lord vnto Seir.
Souple, kite mèt mwen an pase devan sèvitè li. Mwen menm mwen va avanse pi dousman, selon nesesite bèt ki devan m yo, ak selon vitès a timoun yo, jis lè m rive vè mèt mwen an nan Séir.”
15 Then Esau said, I will leaue then some of my folke with thee. And he answered, what needeth this? let me finde grace in the sight of my lorde.
Ésaü te di: “Souple, kite mwen ba ou kèk nan moun ki avè m yo.” Men li te di: “Poukisa ou fè sa? Kite mwen jwenn favè nan zye a mèt mwen an.”
16 So Esau returned, and went his way that same day vnto Seir.
Konsa, Ésaü te fè wout li pou Séir menm jou sa a.
17 And Iaakob went forwarde towarde Succoth, and built him an house, and made boothes for his cattell: therefore he called the name of the place Succoth.
Jacob te vwayaje a Succoth. Li te bati pou li menm yon kay, e li te fè pak pou tout bèt li yo, epi pou sa, yo rele plas la Succoth.
18 Afterward, Iaakob came safe to Sheche a citie, which is in the lande of Canaan, when he came from Padan Aram, and pitched before the citie.
Alò, Jacob te rive san pwoblèm nan vil Sichem nan peyi Canaan, lè li te sòti Paddan-Aram. Li te fè kan an devan vil la.
19 And there he bought a parcell of ground, where hee pitched his tent, at the hande of the sonnes of Hamor Shechems father, for an hundreth pieces of money.
Li te achte yon mòso tè kote li te monte tant li nan men fis Hamor yo, papa Sichem nan, pou sòm a san pyès lajan.
20 And he set vp there an altar, and called it, The mightie God of Israel.
Alò, la li te monte yon lotèl, e li te rele li El-Elohé-Israël.
