Ezekiel 39

1 Therefore, thou sonne of man, prophecie against Gog, and say, Thus sayeth the Lord God, Behold, I come against thee, O Gog, ye chiefe prince of Meshech and Tubal.

Tu adunque, figliuol d'uomo, profetizza contro a Gog, e di: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Eccomi a te, o Gog, principe [e] capo di Mesec, e di Tubal.

2 And I will destroy thee and leaue but the sixt part of thee, and will cause thee to come vp from the North partes and will bring thee vpon the mountaines of Israel:

E ti farò tornare indietro, e ti farò andare errando, dopo che ti avrò tratto dal fondo del Settentrione, e ti avrò fatto venir sopra i monti d'Israele.

3 And I will smite thy bowe out of thy left hand, and I will cause thine arrowes to fall out of thy right hand.

E scoterò l'arco tuo dalla tua man sinistra, e farò cader le tue saette dalla tua destra.

4 Thou shalt fal vpon the mountaines of Israel, and all thy bands and the people, that is with thee: for I will giue thee vnto the birdes and to euery feathered foule and beast of the fielde to be deuoured.

Tu caderai sopra i monti d'Israele, tu, e tutte le tue schiere, e i popoli che [saranno] teco; io ti ho dato per pasto agli uccelli, e agli uccelletti d'ogni specie, ed alle fiere della campagna.

5 Thou shalt fall vpon the open fielde: for I haue spoken it, sayth the Lord God.

Tu sarai atterrato su per la campagna; perciocchè io ho parlato, dice il Signore Iddio.

6 And I will sende a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell safely in the yles, and they shall knowe that I am the Lord.

Ed io manderò un fuoco in Magog, e sopra quelli che abitano nelle isole in sicurtà; e conosceranno che io [sono] il Signore.

7 So will I make mine holy Name knowen in the middes of my people Israel, and I will not suffer them to pollute mine holy Name any more, and the heathen shall knowe that I am the Lord, the holy one of Israel.

E farò che il mio Nome santo sarà conosciuto in mezzo del mio popolo Israele, e non lascerò più profanare il mio santo Nome; e le genti conosceranno che io [sono] il Signore, il Santo in Israele.

8 Beholde, it is come, and it is done, sayeth the Lord God: and this is the day whereof I haue spoken.

Ecco, [la cosa] è avvenuta, ed è stata fatta, dice il Signore Iddio; questo [è] quel giorno, del quale io ho parlato.

9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel, shall goe forth, and shall burne and set fire vpon the weapons, and on the shieldes, and bucklers, vpon the bowes, and vpon the arrowes, and vpon the staues in their handes, and vpon the speares, and they shall burne them with fire seuen yeeres.

E gli abitanti delle città d'Israele usciranno fuori, ed accenderanno un fuoco, ed arderanno armi, e targhe, e scudi, ed archi, e saette, e dardi maneschi, e lance; e con quelle terranno il fuoco acceso lo spazio di sett'anni.

10 So that they shall bring no wood out of the fielde, neither cut downe any out of the forestes: for they shall burne the weapons with fire, and they shall robbe those that robbed them, and spoyle those that spoyled them, sayeth the Lord God.

E non recheranno legne dalla campagna, e non ne taglieranno ne' boschi; anzi faranno fuoco di quelle armi; e spoglieranno quelli che li aveano spogliati, e prederanno quelli che li aveano predati, dice il Signore Iddio.

11 And at the same time will I giue vnto Gog a place there for burial in Israel, euen the valley whereby men go towarde the East part of the sea: and it shall cause them that passe by, to stoppe their noses, and there shall they bury Gog with all his multitude: and they shall call it the valley of Hamon-Gog.

Ed avverrà in quel giorno, che io darò quivi in Israele un luogo da sepoltura a Gog, [cioè: ] la Valle de' viandanti, dal Levante del mare; ed ella sarà turata a' viandanti; e quivi sarà seppellito Gog, e tutta la sua moltitudine; e quel luogo si chiamerà: La Valle della moltitudine di Gog.

12 And seuen moneths long shall the house of Israel be burying of the, that they may clense the land.

E que' della casa d'Israele li seppelliranno per sette mesi, per nettare il paese.

13 Yea, all the people of the lande shall burie them, and they shall haue a name when I shall be glorified, saith the Lord God.

E tutto il popolo del paese li seppellirà, e [questo] sarà loro per fama, nel giorno che io mi sarò glorificato, dice il Signore Iddio.

14 And they shall chuse out men to goe continually through the lande with them that trauaile, to bury those that remaine vpon ye ground, and clense it: they shall search to the ende of seuen moneths.

E metteranno da parte degli uomini, i quali del continuo andranno attorno per lo paese, [e] seppelliranno, insieme co' viandanti, quelli che saranno rimasti su la faccia della terra, per nettarla; in capo di sette mesi [ne] ricercheranno [ancora].

15 And the trauailers that passe through the land, if any see a mans bone, then shall he set vp a signe by it, till the buriers haue buried it, in the valley of Hamon-Gog.

E chiunque passerà per lo paese, e vedrà un ossa d'uomo, rizzerà presso d'esso un segnale, finchè i sotterratori l'abbiano seppellito nella Valle della moltitudine di Gog.

16 And also the name of the citie shalbe Hamonah: thus shall they clense the land.

Ed anche il nome della città [sarà: ] Hamona; e così netteranno il paese.

17 And thou sonne of man, thus sayeth the Lord God, Speake vnto euery feathered foule, and to all the beastes of the fielde, Assemble your selues, and come gather your selues on euery side to my sacrifice: for I do sacrifice a great sacrifice for you vpon the mountaines of Israel, that ye may eate flesh, and drinke blood.

Oltre a ciò, figliuol d'uomo, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Di' agli uccelli d'ogni maniera, ed a tutte le fiere della campagna: Adunatevi, e venite; raccoglietevi d'ogn'intorno all'uccisione che io vi fo; alla grande uccisione che io fo sopra i monti d'Israele; e voi mangerete della carne, e berrete del sangue.

18 Ye shall eate the flesh of the valiant, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of the weathers, of the lambes, and of the goates, and of bullockes, euen of all fat beastes of Bashan.

Mangerete carne d'[uomini] prodi, e berrete sangue di principi della terra; tutti montoni, agnelli, e becchi, giovenchi, [bestie] grasse di Basan.

19 And ye shall eate fat till you be full, and drinke blood, till ye be drunken of my sacrifice, which I haue sacrificed for you.

E mangerete del grasso a sazietà, e berrete del sangue fino ad ebbrezza, della mia uccisione, che io vi ho fatto.

20 Thus you shalbe filled at my table with horses and chariots, with valiant men, and with al men of warre, sayth the Lord God.

E sarete saziati, sopra la mia tavola, di cavalli, di [bestie da] carri, d'[uomini] prodi, e d'uomini di guerra d'ogni maniera, dice il Signore Iddio.

21 And I wil set my glory among the heathe, and all the heathen shall see my iudgement, that I haue executed, and mine hand, which I haue layed vpon them.

Ed io metterò la mia gloria fra le genti, e tutte le nazioni vedranno il mio giudicio, che io avrò eseguito; e la mia mano che io avrò messa sopra quelli.

22 So the house of Israel shall knowe, that I am the Lord their God from that day and so forth.

E da quel giorno innanzi, la casa d'Israele conoscerà che io [sono] il Signore Iddio loro.

23 And the heathen shall knowe, that ye house of Israel went into captiuitie for their iniquitie, because they trespassed against me: therefore hid I my face from them, and gaue them into ye hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.

E le genti conosceranno che la casa d'Israele era stata menata in cattività per la sua iniquità; perciocchè avea misfatto contro a me; laonde io avea nascosta la mia faccia da loro, e li avea dati in man de' lor nemici; ed erano tutti caduti per la spada.

24 According to their vncleannes, and according to their transgressions haue I done vnto the, and hid my face from them.

Io avea operato inverso loro secondo la lor contaminazione, e secondo i lor mifatti; ed avea nascosta la mia faccia da loro.

25 Therefore thus sayth the Lord God, Nowe will I bring againe the captiuitie of Iaakob, and haue compassion vpon the whole house of Israel, and wil be ielous for mine holy Name,

Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Ora ritrarrò Giacobbe di cattività, ed avrò pietà di tutta la casa d'Israele, e sarò geloso del mio santo Nome;

26 After that they haue borne their shame, and all their transgression, whereby they haue transgressed against me, whe they dwelt safely in their land, and without feare of any.

dopo che avranno portato il lor vituperio, e [la pena di] tutti i lor misfatti, che aveano commessi contro a me, mentre dimoravano sopra la lor terra in sicurtà, senza che alcuno [li] spaventasse;

27 When I haue brought them againe from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies landes, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations,

quando io li ricondurrò d'infra i popoli, e li raccoglierò da' paesi de' lor nemici, e mi santificherò in loro, nel cospetto di molte genti.

28 Then shall they know, that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captiuitie among the heathen: but I haue gathered them vnto their owne land, and haue left none of them any more there,

E conosceranno che io [sono] il Signore Iddio loro, quando, dopo averli fatti menare in cattività fra le genti, li avrò [poi] raccolti nella lor terra, senza averne quivi lasciato alcun di resto.

29 Neither wil I hide my face any more from them: for I haue powred out my Spirit vpon the house of Israel, sayth the Lord God.

E non nasconderò più la mia faccia da loro; perciocchè avrò sparso il mio Spirito sopra la casa d'Israele, dice il Signore Iddio.
