Ezekiel 20

1 And in the seuenth yeere, in the fift moneth, the tenth day of the moneth, came certaine of the elders of Israel to enquire of the Lord, and sate before me.

Y aconteció en el año séptimo, en el mes quinto, a los diez del mes, que vinieron algunos de los ancianos de Israel a consultar al SEÑOR, y se sentaron delante de mí.

2 Then came the worde of the Lord vnto me, saying,

Y vino Palabra del SEÑOR a mí, diciendo:

3 Sonne of man, speake vnto the Elders of Israel, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Are ye come to enquire of me? as I liue, sayth the Lord God, when I am asked, I wil not answer you.

Hijo de hombre, habla a los ancianos de Israel, y diles: Así dijo el Señor DIOS: ¿A consultarme venís vosotros? Vivo yo, que yo no os responderé, dijo el Señor DIOS.

4 Wilt thou iudge them, sonne of man? wilt thou iudge them? cause them to vnderstand the abominations of their fathers,

¿Quieres tú juzgarlos? ¿Los quieres juzgar tú, hijo de hombre? Notifícales las abominaciones de sus padres;

5 And say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, In the day when I chose Israel, and lift vp mine hand vnto the seede of the house of Iaakob, and made my selfe knowen vnto them in the land of Egypt, when I lift vp mine hand vnto them, and sayd, I am the Lord your God,

y diles: Así dijo el Señor DIOS: El día que escogí a Israel, y que alcé mi mano por la simiente de la Casa de Jacob, y que fui conocido de ellos en la tierra de Egipto, cuando alcé mi mano a ellos, diciendo: Yo soy el SEÑOR vuestro Dios;

6 In the day that I lift vp mine hand vnto them to bring them forth of the land of Egypt, into a land that I had prouided for them, flowing with milke and hony which is pleasant among all lands,

aquel día que les alcé mi mano, y juré, que los sacaría de la tierra de Egipto a la tierra que les había provisto, que fluye leche y miel, la cual es la más hermosa de todas las tierras;

7 Then sayd I vnto them, Let euery man cast away the abominations of his eyes, and defile not your selues with the idols of Egypt: for I am the Lord your God.

entonces les dije: Cada uno eche de sí todo culto de dios fabricado por su carnal parecer, y no os contaminéis con los ídolos de Egipto. Yo soy el SEÑOR vuestro Dios.

8 But they rebelled against me, and would not heare me: for none cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idoles of Egypt: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them, and to accomplish my wrath against them in the mids of the land of Egypt.

Mas ellos se rebelaron contra mí, y no quisieron escucharme; no echó de sí cada uno las abominaciones de sus ojos, ni dejaron los ídolos de Egipto; y dije que derramaría mi ira sobre ellos, para cumplir mi enojo en ellos en medio de la tierra de Egipto.

9 But I had respect to my Name, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whome they were, and in whose sight I made my selfe knowen vnto them in bringing them forth of the land of Egypt.

Con todo, obré a causa de mi Nombre, para que no se infamase en los ojos de los gentiles en medio de los cuales estaban, en cuyos ojos fui conocido de ellos, para sacarlos de tierra de Egipto.

10 Nowe I caried them out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wildernes.

Los saqué pues de la tierra de Egipto, y los traje al desierto;

11 And I gaue them my statutes, and declared my iudgements vnto them, which if a man doe, he shall liue in them.

y les di mis ordenanzas, y les declaré mis derechos, los cuales el hombre que los hiciere, vivirá por ellos.

12 Moreouer I gaue them also my Sabbaths to be a signe betweene me and them, that they might knowe that I am the Lord, that sanctifie them.

Y les di también mis sábados que fuesen por señal entre mí y ellos, para que supiesen que yo soy el SEÑOR que los santifico.

13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wildernes: they walked not in my statutes, and they cast away my iudgements, which if a man doe, he shall liue in them, and my Sabbaths haue they greatly polluted: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them in the wildernes to consume them,

Mas se rebeló contra mí la Casa de Israel en el desierto; no anduvieron en mis ordenanzas, y desecharon mis derechos, los cuales el hombre que los hiciere, vivirá por ellos; y mis sábados profanaron en gran manera; dije, por tanto, que había de derramar sobre ellos mi ira en el desierto para consumirlos.

14 But I had respect to my Name, that it shoulde not bee polluted before the heathen in whose sight I brought them out.

Pero obré a causa de mi Nombre para que no se infamase a la vista de los gentiles, delante de cuyos ojos los saqué.

15 Yet neuerthelesse, I lift vp mine hande vnto them in the wildernes that I would not bring them into the lande, which I had giuen them, flowing with milke and hony, which was pleasant aboue all landes,

Y también yo les alcé mi mano en el desierto, y juré, que no los metería en la tierra que les di, que fluye leche y miel, la cual es la más hermosa de todas las tierras;

16 Because they cast away my iudgments, and walked not in my statutes, but haue polluted my Sabbaths: for their heart went after their idoles.

porque desecharon mis derechos, y no anduvieron en mis ordenanzas, y mis sábados profanaron; porque tras sus ídolos iba su corazón.

17 Neuerthelesse, mine eye spared them, that I would not destroye them, neither would I consume them in the wildernes.

Con todo, los perdonó mi ojo, no matándolos, ni los consumí en el desierto;

18 But I said vnto their children in the wildernes, Walke ye not in the ordinances of your fathers, neither obserue their maners, nor defile your selues with their idoles.

antes dije en el desierto a sus hijos: No andéis en las ordenanzas de vuestros padres, ni guardéis sus leyes, ni os contaminéis con sus ídolos.

19 I am the Lord your God: walke in my statutes, and keepe my iudgements and doe them,

Yo soy el SEÑOR vuestro Dios; andad en mis ordenanzas, y guardad mis derechos, y ponedlos por obra;

20 And sanctifie my Sabbaths, and they shall bee a signe betweene mee and you, that ye may knowe that I am the Lord your God.

y santificad mis sábados, y sean por señal entre mí y vosotros, para que sepáis que yo soy el SEÑOR vuestro Dios.

21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against mee: they walked not in my statutes, nor kept my iudgements to doe them, which if a man doe, hee shall liue in them, but they polluted my Sabbaths: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them, and to accomplish my wrath against them in the wildernes.

Y los hijos se rebelaron contra mí; no anduvieron en mis ordenanzas, ni guardaron mis derechos para ponerlos por obra, los cuales el hombre que los cumpliere, vivirá por ellos; profanaron mis sábados. Dije entonces que derramaría mi ira sobre ellos, para cumplir mi enojo en ellos en el desierto.

22 Neuerthelesse I withdrew mine hand and had respect to my Name that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them foorth.

Mas retraje mi mano, y obré por causa de mi Nombre para que no se infamase a vista de los gentiles, delante de cuyos ojos los saqué.

23 Yet I lift vp mine hande vnto them in the wildernes, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countreys,

Y también les alcé yo mi mano en el desierto, y juré, que los esparciría entre los gentiles, y que los aventaría por las tierras;

24 Because they had not executed my iudgements, but had cast away my statutes and had polluted my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers idoles.

porque no pusieron por obra mis derechos, y desecharon mis ordenanzas, y profanaron mis sábados, y tras los ídolos de sus padres se les fueron sus ojos.

25 Wherefore I gaue them also statutes that were not good, and iudgements, wherein they should not liue.

Por eso yo también les di ordenanzas no buenas, y derechos por los cuales no viviesen;

26 And I polluted them in their owne giftes in that they caused to passe by the fire all that first openeth ye wombe, that I might destroy them, to the ende, that they might know that I am ye Lord.

y los contaminé en sus ofrendas cuando hacían pasar por el fuego todo primogénito, para que los desolase, a fin de que supiesen que yo soy el SEÑOR.

27 Therefore, sonne of man, speake vnto the house of Israel, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Yet in this your fathers haue blasphemed me, though they had before grieuously transgressed against me.

Por tanto, hijo de hombre, habla a la Casa de Israel, y diles: Así dijo el Señor DIOS: Aun en esto me blasfemaron vuestros padres cuando cometieron contra mí rebelión.

28 For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted vp mine hand to giue it to them, then they saw euery hie hill, and all the thicke trees, and they offred there their sacrifices, and there they presented their offering of prouocation: there also they made their sweete sauour, and powred out there their drinke offerings.

Porque yo los metí en la tierra sobre la cual había alzado mi mano que les había de dar, y miraron a todo collado alto, y a todo árbol espeso, y allí sacrificaron sus víctimas, y allí presentaron la irritación de sus ofrendas, allí pusieron también el olor de su suavidad, y allí derramaron sus libaciones.

29 Then I saide vnto them, What is the hie place whereunto ye goe? And the name thereof was called Bamah vnto this day.

Y yo les dije: ¿Qué es ese alto adonde vosotros vais? Y fue llamado su nombre Bama hasta el día de hoy.

30 Wherefore, say vnto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God, Are ye not polluted after the maner of your fathers? and commit ye not whoredome after their abominations?

Di, pues, a la Casa de Israel: Así dijo el Señor DIOS: ¿Por ventura no os contamináis vosotros a la manera de vuestros padres, y fornicáis tras sus abominaciones?

31 For when you offer your giftes, and make your sonnes to passe through the fire, you pollute your selues with all your idoles vnto this day: shall I answere you when I am asked, O house of Israel? As I liue, saith the Lord God, I wil not answere you when I am asked.

Porque ofreciendo vuestras ofrendas, haciendo pasar vuestros hijos por el fuego, os habéis contaminado con todos vuestros ídolos hasta hoy, ¿y he de responderos yo, Casa de Israel? Vivo yo, dijo el Señor DIOS, que no os responderé.

32 Neither shall that be done that commeth into your minde: for ye say, We wil be as the heathen, and as the families of the countreys, and serue wood, and stone.

Y no ha de ser lo que habéis pensado. Porque vosotros decís: Seamos como los gentiles, como las familias de las naciones, sirviendo a la madera y a la piedra.

33 As I liue, saith the Lord God, I will surely rule you with a mightie hand, and with a stretched out arme, and in my wrath powred out,

Vivo yo, dijo el Señor DIOS, que con mano fuerte, y brazo extendido, y enojo derramado, tengo que reinar sobre vosotros;

34 And will bring you from the people, and will gather you out of the countreys, wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arme, and in my wrath powred out,

y os sacaré de entre los pueblos, y os juntaré de las tierras en que estáis esparcidos, con mano fuerte, y brazo extendido, y enojo derramado;

35 And I will bring you into the wildernes of the people, and there wil I pleade with you face to face.

y os he de traer al desierto de pueblos, y allí litigaré con vosotros cara a cara.

36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wildernes of the lande of Egypt, so will I pleade with you, saith the Lord God.

Como litigué con vuestros padres en el desierto de la tierra de Egipto, así litigaré con vosotros, dijo el Señor DIOS.

37 And I wil cause you to passe vnder the rod, and wil bring you into the bond of the couenant.

Y os haré pasar bajo vara y os traeré en vínculo del pacto;

38 And I wil chuse out from among you the rebels, and them that transgresse against mee: I will bring them out of the land where they dwel, and they shall not enter into the lande of Israel, and you shall knowe that I am the Lord.

y apartaré de entre vosotros los rebeldes, y los que se rebelaron contra mí; de la tierra de sus destierros los sacaré, y a la tierra de Israel no vendrán; y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR.

39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God, Goe you, and serue euery one his idole, seeing that ye will not obey me, and pollute mine holy Name no more with your giftes and with your idoles.

Y vosotros, oh Casa de Israel, así dijo el Señor DIOS: Andad cada uno tras sus ídolos, y servidles, pues que a mí no me escuchéis; y no profanéis más mi santo Nombre con vuestras ofrendas, y con vuestros ídolos.

40 For in mine holy mountaine, euen in the hie mountaine of Israel, saith the Lord God, there shall all the house of Israel, and all in the lande, serue me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offrings and the first fruites of your oblations, with all your holy things.

Porque en el monte de mi Santidad, en el alto monte de Israel, dijo el Señor DIOS, allí me servirá toda la Casa de Israel, toda ella en la tierra; allí los querré, y allí demandaré vuestras ofrendas, y las primicias de vuestros dones, con todas vuestras cosas consagradas.

41 I will accept your sweete sauour, when I bring you from the people, and gather you out of the countreys, wherein ye haue bene scattered, that I may be sanctified in you before ye heathen.

Con su olor de suavidad os aceptaré, cuando os hubiere sacado de entre los pueblos, y os hubiere juntado de las tierras en que estáis esparcidos; y seré santificado en vosotros en los ojos de los gentiles.

42 And ye shall knowe, that I am the Lord, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the land, for the which I lifted vp mine hande to giue it to your fathers.

Y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR, cuando os hubiere metido en la tierra de Israel, en la tierra por la cual alcé mi mano que la daría a vuestros padres.

43 And there shall ye remember your wayes, and all your workes, wherein ye haue bene defiled, and ye shall iudge your selues worthy to be cut off, for all your euils, that ye haue committed.

Y allí os acordaréis de vuestros caminos, y de todos vuestros hechos en que os contaminasteis; y os avergonzaréis de vosotros mismos por todos vuestros pecados que cometisteis.

44 And ye shall knowe, that I am the Lord, when I haue respect vnto you for my Names sake, and not after your wicked wayes, nor according to your corrupt workes, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

Y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR, cuando hiciere con vosotros por causa de mi Nombre, no según vuestros caminos malos, ni según vuestras perversas obras, oh Casa de Israel, dijo el Señor DIOS.

45 Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

Y vino Palabra del SEÑOR a mí, diciendo:

46 Sonne of man, set thy face toward the way of Teman, and drop thy word toward the South, and prophecie towarde the forest of the fielde of the South,

Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro hacia el mediodía, y derrama tu palabra al mediodía, y profetiza contra el bosque del campo del mediodía.

47 And say to the forest of the South, Heare the worde of the Lord: thus saith the Lord God, Beholde, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall deuoure all the greene wood in thee, and all the drie wood: the continuall flame shall not bee quenched, and euery face from the South to the North shall be burnt therein.

Y dirás al bosque del mediodía: Oye palabra del SEÑOR: Así dijo el Señor DIOS: He aquí que yo enciendo en ti fuego, el cual consumirá en ti todo árbol verde, y todo árbol seco; no se apagará la llama del fuego; y serán quemados en ella todos los rostros, desde el mediodía hasta el aquilón.

48 And all flesh shall see, that I the Lord haue kindled it, and it shall not bee quenched.

Y verá toda carne que yo, el SEÑOR, lo encendí; no se apagará.

49 Then saide I, Ah Lord God, they say of me, Doeth not he speake parables?

Y dije: ¡Ah, Señor DIOS! Ellos dicen de mí: ¿No profiere éste parábolas?
