Ezekiel 12
1 The worde of the Lord also came vnto me, saying,
La parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 Sonne of man, thou dwellest in the middes of a rebellious house, which haue eyes to see, and see not: they haue eares to heare, and heare not: for they are a rebellious house.
"Fils de l’homme, c’est au milieu de la maison de rébellion que tu demeures, chez ceux qui ont des yeux pour voir et n’ont pas vu, des oreilles pour entendre et n’ont pas entendu, car c’est une maison de rébellion.
3 Therefore thou sonne of man, prepare thy stuffe to goe into captiuitie, and goe foorth by day in their sight: and thou shalt passe from thy place to another place in their sight, if it be possible that they may consider it: for they are a rebellious house.
Or toi, fils de l’homme, fais-toi des ustensiles d’exil et exile-toi, de jour, à leurs yeux; tu t’exileras de ta résidence vers une autre localité, à leurs yeux; peut-être s’en apercevront-ils, car ils sont une maison de rébellion.
4 Then shalt thou bring foorth thy stuffe by day in their sight as the stuffe of him that goeth into captiuitie: and thou shalt go forth at euen in their sight, as they that go foorth into captiuitie.
Et, de jour, tu déposeras dehors tes ustensiles, comme des ustensiles d’exil, à leurs yeux, et toi-même tu sortiras, le soir, à leurs yeux, comme on part pour l’exil.
5 Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and cary out thereby.
A leurs yeux, creuse-toi un trou dans le mur et fais tout sortir par là.
6 In their sight shalt thou beare it vpon thy shoulders, and carie it foorth in the darke: thou shalt couer thy face that thou see not the earth: for I haue set thee as a signe vnto the house of Israel.
A leurs yeux, tu les porteras sur l’épaule, après les avoir fait sortir dans l’obscurité; tu te cacheras la face, pour ne pas voir la terre, car je fais de toi un symbole pour la maison d’Israël."
7 And as I was commanded, so I brought forth my stuffe by day, as ye stuffe of one that goeth into captiuitie: and by night I digged through the wall with mine hand, and brought it forth in ye darke, and I bare it vpon my shoulder in their sight.
Et je fis comme j’en avais reçu l’ordre, je fis sortir mes ustensiles comme des ustensiles d’exil, de jour, et, le soir, je me creusai un trou dans le mur, avec la main; dans l’obscurité, je les fis sortir et je les portai sur l’épaule, à leurs yeux.
8 And in the morning came the word of the Lord vnto me, saying,
Et la parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée le matin, en ces termes:
9 Sonne of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, sayde vnto thee, What doest thou?
"Fils de l’homme, ne t’ont-ils pas dit, ceux de la maison d’Israël, de la maison de rébellion: Que fais-tu?
10 But say thou vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, This burden concerneth the chiefe in Ierusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.
Réponds-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: c’est pour le prince, cette prédiction, à Jérusalem, et pour toute la maison d’Israël qui s’y trouve.
11 Say, I am your signe: like as I haue done, so shall it be done vnto them: they shall goe into bondage and captiuitie.
Dis-leur: Je suis votre symbole; comme j’ai fait, ainsi il leur sera fait, ils iront en exil, en captivité.
12 And the chiefest that is among them, shall beare vpon his shoulder in the darke, and shall goe forth: they shall digge through the wall, to cary out thereby: he shall couer his face, that he see not the ground with his eies.
Et le prince qui est au milieu d’eux portera ses ustensiles sur l’épaule dans l’obscurité et sortira; on fera un trou dans le mur pour le faire sortir par là; il se couvrira la face, en sorte qu’il ne verra pas de ses yeux la terre.
13 My net also will I spread vpon him, and he shall be taken in my net, and I will bring him to Babel to the lande of the Caldeans, yet shall he not see it, though he shall dye there.
Et j’étendrai mon filet sur lui et il sera pris dans mon panneau, et je le mènerai à Babylone, dans le pays des Chaldéens, mais il ne la verra pas et il y mourra.
14 And I will scatter toward euerie winde all that are about him to helpe him, and all his garisons, and I will drawe out the sworde after them.
Et tous ceux qui l’entourent, sa garde et toutes ses troupes, je les disséminerai à tous les vents et je tirerai le glaive derrière eux.
15 And they shall knowe that I am the Lord, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countreis.
Ils sauront ainsi que je suis l’Eternel, quand je les disperserai parmi les nations et que je les disséminerai dans les pays.
16 But I will leaue a litle nomber of them from the sworde, from the famine, and from the pestilence, that they may declare all these abominations among the heathen, where they come, and they shall knowe, that I am the Lord.
Et je conserverai un petit nombre d’entre eux échappés au glaive, à la famine et à la peste, afin qu’ils racontent toutes leurs abominations chez les peuples où ils viendront, et ils sauront que je suis l’Eternel."
17 Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
La parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
18 Sonne of man, eate thy bread with trembling and drinke thy water with trouble, and with carefulnesse,
"Fils de l’homme, ton pain, tu le mangeras avec tremblement, et ton eau, tu la boiras avec frisson et angoisse.
19 And say vnto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord God of the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and of the lande of Israel, They shall eate their bread with carefulnes, and drinke their water with desolation: for the lande shall bee desolate from her abundance because of the crueltie of them that dwell therein.
Et tu diras au peuple du pays: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu aux habitants de Jérusalem, au pays d’Israël: leur pain, ils le mangeront avec angoisse, et leur eau, ils la boiront dans la stupeur, de façon que le pays soit désolé privé de son abondance, à cause de la violence de tous ses habitants.
20 And the cities that are inhabited, shall be left voyde, and the land shall be desolate, and yee shall knowe that I am the Lord.
Les villes habitées seront dévastées et le pays sera une solitude, et vous saurez que je suis l’Eternel."
21 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
La parole de Dieu me fut adressée en ces termes:
22 Sonne of man, what is that prouerbe that you haue in the land of Israel, saying, The dayes are prolonged and all visions faile?
"Fils de l’homme, quel est ce dicton que vous proférez là en terre d’Israël: "Les jours s’allongent et toute vision s’évanouit?"
23 Tell them therefore, Thus sayeth the Lord God, I wil make this prouerbe to cease, and they shall no more vse it as a prouerbe in Israel: but say vnto them, The daies are at hand and the effect of euery vision.
C’Est pourquoi, dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: J’Abolis ce dicton; on ne s’en servira plus en Israël; mais dis-leur au contraire: Les jours sont proches, et toute prophétie s’accomplira;
24 For no vision shall be any more in vaine, neither shall there bee any flattering diuination within the house of Israel.
car il n’y aura plus du tout de prophétie mensongère, ni d’oracle fallacieux dans la maison d’Israël.
25 For I am the Lord: I wil speake, and that thing that I shall speake, shall come to passe: it shall be no more prolonged: for in your dayes, O rebellious house, will I saye the thing, and will performe it, sayeth the Lord God.
Car c’est moi, I’Eternel qui dirai la parole que je veux dire, et qui s’accomplira sans être plus différée, mais c’est de vos jours, maison de rébellion, que je dirai la parole que j’exécuterai, dit le Seigneur Dieu."
26 Againe the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
La parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
27 Sonne of man, beholde, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that hee seeth, is for many dayes to come, and he prophecieth of the times that are farre off.
"Fils de l’homme, voici que la maison d’Israël dit: La vision qu’il perçoit concerne une époque reculée, c’est pour des temps éloignés qu’il prophétise.
28 Therefore say vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord God, All my wordes shall no longer be delayed, but that thing which I haue spoken, shall be done, saith the Lord God.
C’Est pourquoi, dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Aucune de mes paroles ne comporte plus de délai; va, toute parole que je prononce s’accomplira," dit le Seigneur Dieu.
