Ezekiel 11

1 Moreover, the Spirite lift me vp, and brought me vnto the East gate of the Lordes house, which lyeth Eastwarde, and beholde, at the entrie of the gate were fiue and twentie men: among whome I sawe Iaazaniah the sonne of Azur, and Pelatiah the sonne of Benaiah, the princes of the people.

Entonces el Espíritu me recogió y me llevó a la entrada oriental del Templo del Señor. Veinticinco hombres estaban reunidos allí en la entrada. Reconocí entre ellos a Jaazanías, hijo de Azur, y a Pelatías, hijo de Benaía, líderes del pueblo.

2 Then said he vnto me, Sonne of man, these are the men that imagine mischiefe, and deuise wicked counsell in this citie.

El Señor me dijo: “Hijo de hombre, estos hombres son los que están haciendo planes malvados y dando malos consejos a la gente de esta ciudad.

3 For they say, It is not neere, let vs builde houses: this citie is the caldron, and wee be the flesh.

Están diciendo: ‘¿Es éste el momento de construir casas? La ciudad es la olla, y nosotros somos la carne dentro de ella’.

4 Therefore prophesie against them, sonne of man, prophesie.

Así que profetiza contra ellos. Profetiza, hijo de hombre”.

5 And the Spirite of the Lord fell vpon me, and said vnto me, Speake, Thus saith the Lord, O ye house of Israel, this haue ye said, and I know that which riseth vp of your mindes.

El Espíritu del Señor vino sobre mí y me dijo que dijera Esto es lo que dice el Señor: “¡Pueblo de Israel, eso es lo que estás diciendo! ¡Yo sé lo que están pensando por dentro!

6 Many haue ye murthered in this citie, and ye haue filled the streets thereof with the slaine.

Ustedes asesinan a más y más personas en esta ciudad. ¡Has llenado sus calles de muertos!

7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, They that ye haue slaine, and haue layed in the middes of it, they are the flesh, and this citie is the caldron, but I wil bring you foorth of the mids of it.

“Esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: Los que has matado en esta ciudad son la carne, y la ciudad es la olla; pero yo te voy a sacar de ella.

8 Ye haue feared the sworde, and I wil bring a sworde vpon you, saith the Lord God.

Ustedes tienen miedo de que los mate la espada, así que traeré invasores con espadas para que los ataquen, declara el Señor Dios.

9 And I will bring you out of the middes thereof, and deliuer you into the hands of strangers, and will execute iudgements among you.

Voy a sacarte de la ciudad y a entregarte a los extranjeros, y voy a cumplir mi sentencia contra ti.

10 Ye shall fall by the sworde, and I wil iudge you in the border of Israel, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.

Te matarán a espada y te castigaré hasta las fronteras de Israel. Entonces sabrás que yo soy el Señor.

11 This citie shall not be your caldron, neyther shall ye be the flesh in the middes thereof, but I will iudge you in the border of Israel.

“La ciudad no será como una olla para ti, y tú tampoco serás la carne dentro de ella. Te castigaré hasta las fronteras de Israel.

12 And ye shall knowe that I am the Lord: for ye haue not walked in my statutes, neither executed my iudgements, but haue done after the maners of the heathen, that are round about you.

Entonces sabrás que yo soy el Señor. Porque no seguisteis mis normas ni guardasteis mis leyes. En cambio, guardaste las leyes de las naciones que te rodean”.

13 And when I prophesied, Pelatiah the sonne of Benaiah dyed: then fell I downe vpon my face, and cryed with a loude voyce, and saide, Ah Lord God, wilt thou then vtterly destroy all the remnant of Israel?

Mientras yo profetizaba, Pelatías hijo de Benaía murió. Caí al suelo boca abajo y grité con fuerza: “Señor Dios, ¿vas a destruir por completo lo que queda del pueblo de Israel?”

14 Againe the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

Me llegó un mensaje del Señor que decía:

15 Sonne of man, thy brethren, euen thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel, wholy are they vnto whome the inhabitants of Ierusalem haue said, Depart ye farre from the Lord: for the lande is giuen vs in possession.

“Hijo de hombre, tus hermanos, incluidos tus parientes, tus compañeros de exilio y todos los demás israelitas, son aquellos a los que se refería la gente de Jerusalén cuando decía: ‘Están lejos del Señor. Este país nos fue dado y debemos poseerlo’.

16 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God, Although I haue cast them farre off among the heathen, and although I haue scattered them among the countreis, yet wil I be to them as a litle Sanctuarie in ye countreis where they shall come.

“Diles, pues, que esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: A pesar de que los envié lejos a vivir entre las naciones extranjeras, dispersándolos entre los diferentes países, he estado cuidando de ellos durante un tiempo en los países donde fueron.

17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God, I will gather you againe from the people, and assemble you out of the countreis where ye haue bene scattered, and I will giue you ye land of Israel.

“Diles que esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: Voy a reunirlos a ustedes de las otras naciones y los traeré de vuelta de los países donde han sido dispersados, y les devolveré el país de Israel.

18 And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the idoles thereof, and all the abominations thereof from thence.

“Cuando regresen, van a eliminar del país todos sus ídolos ofensivos y sus prácticas repugnantes.

19 And I will giue them one heart, and I will put a newe spirit within their bowels: and I will take the stonie heart out of their bodies, and will giue them an heart of flesh,

Les daré un compromiso único y un espíritu totalmente nuevo. Les quitaré su actitud de corazón duro y la reemplazaré por una que sea amorosa.

20 That they may walke in my statutes, and keepe my iudgements, and execute them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

Así podrán seguir mis reglas, cumplir mis normas y hacer lo que yo diga. Serán mi pueblo y yo seré su Dios.

21 But vpon them, whose heart is towarde their idoles, and whose affection goeth after their abominations, I will lay their way vpon their owne heades, saith the Lord God.

“Pero a los que siguen eligiendo adorar ídolos ofensivos y realizar prácticas repugnantes, les haré experimentar las consecuencias de sus propios actos, declara el Señor Dios”.

22 Then did the Cherubims lift vp their wings, and the wheeles besides them, and the glorie of the God of Israel was vpon them on hie.

Entonces los querubines abrieron sus alas y despegaron, con las ruedas a su lado y con la gloria del Dios de Israel sobre ellos.

23 And the glorie of the Lord went vp from the middes of the citie, and stoode vpon the moutaine which is towarde the East side of the citie.

La gloria del Señor se elevó desde el interior de la ciudad y se dirigió al monte al este de la ciudad.

24 Afterwarde the Spirite tooke me vp, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Caldea to them that were led away captiues: so the vision that I had seene, went vp from me.

En la visión que me dio el Espíritu de Dios, el Espíritu me levantó y me llevó de vuelta a Babilonia, donde estaban los exiliados. Después de que la visión me abandonó,

25 Then I declared vnto them that were led away captiues, all the things that the Lord had shewed me.

les expliqué a los exiliados todo lo que el Señor me había mostrado.
