Exodus 34
1 And the Lord saide vnto Moses, Hewe thee two Tables of stone, like vnto the first, and I will write vpon the Tables the wordes that were in the first Tables, which thou brakest in pieces.
Então disse o Senhor a Moysés: Lavra-te duas taboas de pedra, como as primeiras; e eu escreverei nas taboas as mesmas palavras que estavam nas primeiras taboas, que tu quebraste.
2 And be ready in ye morning, that thou mayest come vp earely vnto the mount of Sinai, and waite there for me in the top of the mount.
E apparelha-te para ámanhã, para que subas pela manhã ao monte de Sinai, e ali põe-te diante de mim no cume do monte.
3 But let no man come vp with thee, neither let any man be seene throughout all the mount, neyther let the sheepe nor cattell feede before this mount.
E ninguem suba comtigo, e tambem ninguem appareça em todo o monte; nem ovelhas nem bois se apascentem defronte do monte.
4 Then Moses hewed two Tables of stone like vnto the first, and rose vp earely in the morning, and went vp vnto the mount of Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and tooke in his hande two Tables of stone.
Então elle lavrou duas taboas de pedra, como as primeiras; e levantou-se Moysés pela manhã de madrugada, e subiu ao monte de Sinai, como o Senhor lhe tinha ordenado: e tomou as duas taboas de pedra na sua mão.
5 And the Lord descended in the cloude, and stoode with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.
E o Senhor desceu n'uma nuvem, e se poz ali junto a elle: e elle apregoou o nome do Senhor.
6 So the Lord passed before his face, and cried, The Lord, the Lord, strong, mercifull, and gracious, slowe to anger, and abundant in goodnesse and trueth,
Passando pois o Senhor perante a sua face, clamou: Jehovah o Senhor, Deus misericordioso e piedoso, tardio em iras e grande em beneficencia e verdade;
7 Reseruing mercy for thousands, forgiuing iniquitie, and transgression and sinne, and not making the wicked innocent, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon ye children, and vpon childrens children, vnto the third and fourth generation.
Que guarda a beneficencia em milhares; que perdoa a iniquidade, e a transgressão, e o peccado; que o culpado não tem por innocente; que visita a iniquidade dos paes sobre os filhos e sobre os filhos dos filhos até á terceira e quarta geração.
8 Then Moses made haste and bowed him selfe to the earth, and worshipped,
E Moysés apressou-se, e inclinou a cabeça á terra, encurvou-se,
9 And sayde, O Lord, I pray thee, If I haue founde grace in thy sight, that the Lord woulde nowe goe with vs (for it is a stiffe necked people) and pardon our iniquitie and our sinne, and take vs for thine inheritance.
E disse: Senhor, se agora tenho achado graça aos teus olhos, vá agora o Senhor no meio de nós: porque este é povo obstinado; porém perdoa a nossa iniquidade e o nosso peccado, e toma-nos pela tua herança.
10 And he answered, Behold, I will make a couenant before all thy people, and will do marueiles, such as haue not bene done in all the worlde, neyther in all nations: and all the people among whom thou art, shall see the worke of the Lord: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
Então disse: Eis que eu faço um concerto; farei diante de todo o teu povo maravilhas que nunca foram feitas em toda a terra, nem entre gente alguma: de maneira que todo este povo, em cujo meio tu estás, veja a obra do Senhor; porque coisa terrivel é o que faço comtigo.
11 Keepe diligently that which I commande thee this day: Beholde, I will cast out before thee the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Hiuites, and the Iebusites.
Guarda o que eu te ordeno hoje: eis que eu lançarei fóra diante de ti os amorrheos, e os cananeos, e os hetheos, e os pereseos, e os heveos e os jebuseos.
12 Take heede to thy selfe, that thou make no compact with ye inhabitantes of the land whither thou goest, least they be the cause of ruine among you:
Guarda-te que não faças concerto com os moradores da terra aonde has de entrar; para que não seja por laço no meio de ti.
13 But yee shall ouerthrowe their altars, and breake their images in pieces, and cut downe their groues,
Mas os seus altares transtornareis, e as suas estatuas quebrareis, e os seus bosques cortareis.
14 (For thou shalt bow downe to none other god, because the Lord, whose Name is Ielous, is a ielous God)
Porque te não inclinarás diante d'outro deus: pois o nome do Senhor é Zeloso: Deus zeloso é elle:
15 Lest thou make a compact with the inhabitantes of the lande, and when they goe a whoring after their gods, and doe sacrifice vnto their gods, some man call thee, and thou eate of his sacrifice:
Para que não faças concerto com os moradores da terra, e não forniquem após os seus deuses, nem sacrifiquem aos seus deuses, e tu, convidado d'elles, comas dos seus sacrificios,
16 And least thou take of their daughters vnto thy sonnes, and their daughters goe a whoring after their gods, and make thy sonnes goe a whoring after their gods.
E tomes mulheres das suas filhas para os teus filhos, e suas filhas, fornicando após os seus deuses, façam que tambem teus filhos forniquem após os seus deuses.
17 Thou shalt make thee no gods of metall.
Não te farás deuses de fundição.
18 The feast of vnleauened bread shalt thou keepe: seuen dayes shalt thou eate vnleauened bread, as I commanded thee, in ye time of the moneth of Abib: for in the moneth of Abib thou camest out of Egypt.
A festa dos pães asmos guardarás; sete dias comerás pães asmos, como te tenho ordenado, ao tempo apontado do mez de Abib: porque no mez d'Abib sais-te do Egypto.
19 Euery male, that first openeth the wombe, shalbe mine: also all the first borne of thy flocke shalbe rekoned mine, both of beeues and sheepe.
Tudo o que abre a madre meu é, até todo o teu gado, que seja macho, abrindo a madre de vaccas e d'ovelhas;
20 But ye first of ye asse thou shalt bie out with a lambe: and if thou redeeme him not, then thou shalt breake his necke: all the first borne of thy sonnes shalt thou redeeme, and none shall appeare before me emptie.
O burro porém, que abrir a madre, resgatarás com cordeiro: mas, se o não resgatares, cortar-lhe-has a cabeça: todo o primogenito de teus filhos resgatarás. E ninguem apparecerá vazio diante de mim.
21 Six dayes shalt thou worke, and in the seuenth day thou shalt rest: both in earing time, and in the haruest thou shalt rest.
Seis dias obrarás, mas ao setimo dia descançarás: na aradura e na sega descançarás.
22 Thou shalt also obserue the feast of weekes in the time of ye first fruits of wheate haruest, and the feast of gathering fruites in the ende of the yere.
Tambem guardarás a festa das semanas, que é a festa das primicias da sega do trigo, e a festa da colheita á volta do anno.
23 Thrise in a yere shall all your men children appeare before the Lord Iehouah God of Israel.
Tres vezes no anno todo o macho entre ti apparecerá perante o Senhor, Jehovah, Deus d'Israel;
24 For I wil cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy coasts, so that no man shall desire thy land, whe thou shalt come vp to appeare before the Lord thy God thrise in the yeere.
Porque eu lançarei fóra as nações de diante de ti, e alargarei o teu termo: ninguem cubiçará a tua terra, quando subires para apparecer tres vezes no anno diante do Senhor teu Deus.
25 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leauen, neither shall ought of the sacrifice of the feast of Passeouer be left vnto the morning.
Não sacrificarás o sangue do meu sacrificio com pão levedado, nem o sacrificio da festa da paschoa ficará da noite para a manhã.
26 The first ripe fruites of thy land thou shalt bring vnto the house of the Lord thy God: yet shalt thou not seethe a kid in his mothers milke.
As primicias dos primeiros fructos da tua terra trarás á casa do Senhor teu Deus: não cozerás o cabrito no leite de sua mãe
27 And the Lord said vnto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenour of these words I haue made a couenant with thee and with Israel.
Disse mais o Senhor a Moysés: Escreve-te estas palavras: porque conforme ao teor d'estas palavras tenho feito concerto comtigo e com Israel.
28 So hee was there with the Lord fourtie dayes and fourtie nights, and did neither eat bread nor drinke water: and hee wrote in the Tables the wordes of the couenant, euen the tenne commandements.
E esteve ali com o Senhor quarenta dias e quarenta noites: não comeu pão, nem bebeu agua, e escreveu nas taboas as palavras do concerto, os dez mandamentos.
29 So when Moses came downe from mount Sinai, the two Tables of the Testimonie were in Moses hande, as hee descended from the mount: (nowe Moses wist not that the skinne of his face shone bright, after that God had talked with him.
E aconteceu que, descendo Moysés do monte Sinai (e Moysés trazia as duas taboas do testemunho em sua mão, quando desceu do monte), Moysés não sabia que a pelle do seu rosto resplandecia, depois que fallara com elle
30 And Aaron and all the children of Israel looked vpon Moses, and beholde, the skin of his face shone bright, and they were afraid to come neere him)
Olhando pois Aarão e todos os filhos d'Israel para Moysés, eis que a pelle do seu rosto resplandecia; pelo que temeram de chegar-se a elle.
31 But Moses called them: and Aaron and all the chiefe of the congregation returned vnto him: and Moses talked with them.
Então Moysés os chamou, e Aarão e todos os principes da congregação tornaram-se a elle: e Moysés lhes fallou.
32 And afterwarde all the children of Israel came neere, and he charged them with al that the Lord had said vnto him in mount Sinai.
Depois chegaram tambem todos os filhos d'Israel: e elle lhes ordenou tudo o que o Senhor fallára com elle no monte Sinai.
33 So Moses made an end of comuning with them, and had put a couering vpon his face.
Assim acabou Moysés de fallar com elles, e tinha posto um véu sobre o seu rosto.
34 But, when Moses came before the Lord to speake with him, he tooke off the couering vntill he came out: then he came out, and spake vnto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
Porém, entrando Moysés perante o Senhor, para fallar com elle, tirava o véu até que sahia: e, saido, fallava com os filhos de Israel o que lhe era ordenado.
35 And the children of Israel sawe the face of Moses, howe the skin of Moses face shone bright: therefore Moses put the couering vpon his face, vntill he went to speake with God.
Assim pois viam os filhos d'Israel o rosto de Moysés, que resplandecia a pelle do rosto de Moysés: e tornou Moysés a pôr o véu sobre o seu rosto, até que entrava para fallar com elle.
