Exodus 33
1 Afterward the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Depart, goe vp from hence, thou, and the people (which thou hast brought vp out of lande of Egypt) vnto the lande which I sware vnto Abraham, to Izhak and to Iaakob, saying, Vnto thy seede will I giue it.
೧ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕರೆದುತಂದ ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ‘ನಾನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ, ಇಸಾಕ ಮತ್ತು ಯಾಕೋಬರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನೆಂದು’ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗು.
2 And I will send an Angel before thee and will cast out the Canaanites, the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, the Hiuites, and the Iebusites:
೨ನಾನು, ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೂತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು, ಅಮೋರಿಯರನ್ನು, ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರನ್ನು, ಪೆರಿಜೀಯರನ್ನು, ಹಿವ್ವಿಯರನ್ನು ಹಾಗು ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರನ್ನು ಹೊರದೂಡುವೆನು.
3 To a lande, I say, that floweth with milke and hony: for I will not goe vp with thee, because thou art a stiffe necked people, least I consume thee in the way.
೩ಹಾಲೂ ಮತ್ತು ಜೇನೂ ಹರಿಯುವ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಹೋಗು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಮೊಂಡುತನದ ಜನರು. ನಾನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟೇನು” ಅಂದನು.
4 And when the people heard this euill tydings, they sorowed, and no man put on his best rayment.
೪ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರು ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣೆಯ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರೂ ಆಭರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
5 (For the Lord had said to Moses, Say vnto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffe necked people, I wil come suddenly vpon thee, and consume thee: therefore now put thy costly rayment from thee, that I may know what to do vnto thee)
೫ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಹೀಗೆಂದನು. “ನೀನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನೀವು ಮೊಂಡುತನವುಳ್ಳ ಜನರು, ನಾನು ಒಂದು ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವುದಾದರೆ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡುವೆನು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಭರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಈಗ ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡಿರಿ. ನಿಮಗೆ ನಾನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು’” ಅಂದನು.
6 So the children of Israel layed their good raiment from them, after Moses came downe from the mount Horeb.
೬ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಹೋರೇಬ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ಆಭರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
7 Then Moses tooke his tabernacle, and pitched it without the host farre off from the hoste, and called it Ohel-moed. And whe any did seeke to the Lord, he went out vnto the Tabernacle of the Congregation, which was without the hoste.
೭ಮೋಶೆಯು ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ಪಾಳೆಯದ ಹೊರಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವದರ್ಶನದ ಗುಡಾರ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು. ಯೆಹೋವನ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪಾಳೆಯದ ಹೊರಗಿದ್ದ ದೇವದರ್ಶನದ ಗುಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
8 And when Moses went out vnto the Tabernacle, all the people rose vp, and stood euery man at his tent doore, and looked after Moses, vntil he was gone into the Tabernacle.
೮ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆ ಗುಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಎದ್ದು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಡೇರೆಗಳ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು, ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆ ಗುಡಾರದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ತನಕ ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
9 And assoone as Moses was entred into the Tabernacle, the cloudie pillar descended and stood at the doore of the Tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses.
೯ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆ ಗುಡಾರದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದಕೂಡಲೆ ಮೇಘಸ್ತಂಭವು ಇಳಿದು ಆ ಗುಡಾರದ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿತ್ತು ಹಾಗು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
10 Nowe when all the people saw the cloudie pillar stand at the Tabernacle doore, all the people rose vp, and worshipped euery man in his tent doore.
೧೦ಆ ಮೇಘಸ್ತಂಭವು ಗುಡಾರದ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನೋಡಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಡೇರೆಗಳ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲೇ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
11 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, face to face, as a man speaketh vnto his friende. After he turned againe into the hoste, but his seruant Ioshua the sonne of Nun a yong man, departed not out of the Tabernacle.
೧೧ಮನುಷ್ಯರೊಳಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನೊಡನೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಆನಂತರ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವನು. ಆದರೆ ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೆಂಬ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನಾದ ಅವನ ಶಿಷ್ಯನು ಆ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು, ಅದರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ದೂರ ಸರಿಯುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
12 Then Moses sayde vnto the Lord, See, thou sayest vnto me, Leade this people forth, and thou hast not shewed me whom thou wilt sende with mee: thou hast sayde moreouer, I knowe thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
೧೨ಮೋಶೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “‘ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ಆ ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು’ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಿಯಷ್ಟೇ. ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯಾರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಡುವೆಯೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ. ‘ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಲ್ಲೆನು. ನಿನಗೆ ನನ್ನ ದಯೆ ದೊರಕಿತೆಂದೂ’ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿರುವೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.
13 Nowe therefore, I pray thee, if I haue founde fauour in thy sight, shewe mee nowe thy way, that I may knowe thee, and that I may finde grace in thy sight: consider also that this nation is thy people.
೧೩ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಯೆಯಿರುವುದಾದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸು ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ದಯೆ ನನಗೆ ದೊರೆಯಿತೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದು. ಈ ಜನಾಂಗವು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪುಮಾಡಿಕೋ” ಎಂದು ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡಿದನು.
14 And he answered, My presence shall go with thee, and I will giue thee rest.
೧೪ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು, “ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನತೆಯು ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವುದು, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವೆನು” ಅಂದನು.
15 Then he sayd vnto him, If thy presence go not with vs, cary vs not hence.
೧೫ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನತೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಾರದೇ ಹೋದರೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೋಗಗೊಡಿಸಬೇಡ.
16 And wherein nowe shall it be knowen, that I and thy people haue found fauour in thy sight? shall it not be when thou goest with vs? so I, and thy people shall haue preeminence before all the people that are vpon the earth.
೧೬ನನಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇವರಿಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದಯೆಯು ದೊರಕಿತೆಂಬುದು ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರುವುದರಿಂದಲೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದರಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದುಬರುವುದು? ಇದರಿಂದ ನಾನೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇವರೂ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೇರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಯುಳ್ಳವರೆಂಬುದು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದು” ಅಂದನು.
17 And the Lord sayde vnto Moses, I will doe this also that thou hast saide: for thou hast founde grace in my sight, and I knowe thee by name.
೧೭ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ, “ನಿನಗೆ ನನ್ನ ದಯೆಯು ದೊರಕಿರುವುದರಿಂದಲೂ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
18 Againe he sayde, I beseech thee, shewe me thy glory.
೧೮ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೋಶೆಯು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
19 And he answered, I wil make all my good go before thee, and I wil proclaime the Name of the Lord before thee: for I will shewe mercy to whom I will shewe mercy, and will haue compassion on whom I will haue compassion.
೧೯ಸರ್ವೋತ್ತಮತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು, “ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನೆದುರಿಗೆ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನನ್ನ ನಾಮದ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನೆದುರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಯೆತೋರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವೆನೋ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸುವೆನು, ಯಾರನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವೆನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸುವೆನು” ಅಂದನು.
20 Furthermore he sayde, Thou canst not see my face, for there shall no man see me, and liue.
೨೦ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬದುಕಿರಲಾರನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
21 Also the Lord sayd, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand vpon the rocke:
೨೧ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೋಡು, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲೇ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳವಿದೆ. ನೀನು ಈ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿರು.
22 And while my glory passeth by, I will put thee in a cleft of the rocke, and will couer thee with mine hand whiles I passe by.
೨೨ನನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ನಿನ್ನೆದುರಿಗೆ ದಾಟಿಹೋಗುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಈ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಸಂದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುವ ತನಕ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಮರೆಮಾಡುವೆನು.
23 After I will take away mine hande, and thou shalt see my backe parts: but my face shall not be seene.
೨೩ತರುವಾಯ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದಾಗ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂಭಾಗವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಿಯೇ ಹೊರತು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವು ನಿನಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
