Exodus 23

1 Thou shalt not receiue a false tale, neyther shalt thou put thine hande with the wicked, to be a false witnes.

Du skall icke tro lögnaktigt tal, så att du gör enom ogudaktigom bistånd, och varder ett vrångt vittne.

2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do euil, neither agree in a controuersie to decline after many and ouerthrowe the trueth.

Du skall icke följa hopen efter till det ondt är; och icke svara för rätten, så att du efter hopen viker ifrå det rätt är.

3 Thou shalt not esteeme a poore man in his cause.

Du skall icke bepryda den fattiga i hans sak.

4 If thou meete thine enemies oxe, or his asse going astray, thou shalt bring him to him againe.

När du finner dins oväns oxa eller åsna, att han far vill, så skall du ledan hem till honom igen.

5 If thou see thine enemies asse lying vnder his burden, wilt thou cease to helpe him? thou shalt helpe him vp againe with it.

När du finner hans åsna, som dig hatar, ligga under bördone, skall du icke låta honom ligga, utan hjelpa honom upp.

6 Thou shalt not ouerthrowe the right of thy poore in his sute.

Du skall icke böja dins fattigas rätt i hans sak.

7 Thou shalt keepe thee farre from a false matter, and shalt not slaye the innocent and the righteous: for I will not iustifie a wicked man.

Var fjerran ifrå falska saker. Den oskyldiga och rättfärdiga skall du icke dräpa; ty jag gifver ingom ogudaktigom rätt.

8 Thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and peruerteth the wordes of the righteous.

Du skall icke taga mutor; förty mutor förblinda de seende, och förvända de rättfärdigas saker.

9 Thou shalt not oppresse a stranger: for ye knowe the heart of a stranger, seeing yee were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Du skall icke undertrycka främlingar; ty I veten huru de främlingar i hjertat likar, efter I hafven ock främlingar varit i Egypti lande.

10 Moreouer, sixe yeres thou shalt sowe thy land, and gather the fruites thereof,

I sex år skall du så ditt land, och insamla dess frukt.

11 But the seuenth yeere thou shalt let it rest and lie still, that the poore of thy people may eat, and what they leaue, the beastes of the fielde shall eate. In like maner thou shalt doe with thy vineyard, and with thine oliue trees.

På sjunde årena skall du låta det hvilas och ligga, att de fattige af ditt folk måga äta deraf; och hvad öfver blifver, låt vilddjuren på markene äta det. Så skall du ock göra med dinom vingård och oljoberge.

12 Sixe dayes thou shalt do thy worke, and in the seuenth day thou shalt rest, that thine oxe, and thine asse may rest, and the sonne of thy maide and the stranger may be refreshed.

I sex dagar skall du göra ditt arbete, men den sjunde dagen skall du skona; på det din oxe och åsne måga hvila sig, och dine tjenarinnos son, och främlingen vederqvicka sig.

13 And ye shall take heede to all things that I haue sayde vnto you: and ye shall make no mention of the name of other gods, neither shall it be heard out of thy mouth.

Allt det jag eder sagt hafver, det håller. Och andra gudars namn skolen I icke ihågkomma; och af edar mun skola de icke hörde varda.

14 Three times thou shalt keepe a feast vnto me in the yeere.

I tre resor om året skolen I hålla mig högtid;

15 Thou shalt keepe the feast of vnleauened bread: thou shalt eate vnleauened bread seue dayes, as I commanded thee, in the season of the moneth of Abib: for in it thou camest out of Egypt: and none shall appeare before me emptie:

Nämliga de osyrade bröds högtid skall du hålla, att du i sju dagar osyradt bröd äter, såsom jag dig budit hafver, i den tiden i Abibs månad; förty uti honom äst du utfaren utur Egypten; men kom icke med tomma händer fram för mig;

16 The feast also of the haruest of the first fruites of thy labours, which thou hast sowen in the fielde: and the feast of gathering fruites in the ende of the yere, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the fielde.

Och den högtiden, när du först begynner berga det du på markene sått hafver; och insamlingens högtid i årsens utgång, när du ditt arbete utaf markene insamlat hafver.

17 These three times in the yeere shall all thy men children appeare before the Lord Iehouah.

Tre resor om året skall allt det mankön är komma fram för Herran Gud.

18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leauened bread: neyther shall the fatte of my sacrifice remayne vntill the morning.

Du skall icke offra mitt offers blod med surdeg; och mins högtides feta skall icke blifva qvart intill morgonen.

19 The first of the first fruites of thy lande thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord thy God: yet shalt thou not seeth a kid in his mothers milke.

Förstlingen af första frukten på dine mark skall du föra in uti Herrans dins Guds hus; och skall icke koka kidet, så länge det på sine moders mjölk är.

20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keepe thee in the way, and to bring thee to the place which I haue prepared.

Si, jag sänder en Ängel framföre dig, den dig skall bevara på vägen, och föra dig till det rum, som jag beredt hafver.

21 Beware of him, and heare his voyce, and prouoke him not: for he will not spare your misdeedes, because my name is in him.

Derföre tag dig vara för hans ansigte, och hör hans röst, och förbittra honom icke; ty han skall icke skona eder, när I brottslige ären; och mitt Namn är i honom.

22 But if thou hearken vnto his voyce, and do all that I speake, the I wil be an enemie vnto thine enemies, and will afflict them that afflict thee.

Hörer du hans röst, och gör allt det jag säger dig, så skall jag vara dina fiendars fiende, och dina motståndares motståndare.

23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee vnto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hiuites, and the Iebusites, and I will destroy them.

När nu min Ängel går framföre dig, och förer dig till de Amoreer, Hetheer, Phereseer, Cananeer, Heveer, och Jebuseer, och jag förgör dem;

24 Thou shalt not bow downe to their gods, neither serue them, nor doe after the workes of them: but vtterly ouerthrowe them, and breake in pieces their images.

Då skall du icke tillbedja deras gudar, ej heller tjena dem, och icke göra såsom de göra; utan skall deras afgudar bortkasta, och sönderslå dem.

25 For ye shall serue the Lord your God, and he shall blesse thy bread and thy water, and I will take all sickenes away from the middes of thee.

Men Herranom edrom Gud skolen I tjena, så skall han välsigna ditt bröd och ditt vatten; och skall alla krankhet taga dig ifrå.

26 There shall none cast their fruite nor be baren in thy lande: the number of thy dayes will I fulfill.

Ingen ensam eller ofruktsam skall vara i dino lande; och jag skall låta dig blifva gamlan.

27 I will send my feare before thee, and will destroy all the people among whome thou shalt go: and I will make all thine enemies turne their backes vnto thee:

Jag skall sända min förskräckelse framföre dig, och göra allt folk förtvifladt, dit du kommer; och skall låta alla dina fiendar komma på flyktena för dig.

28 And I will sende hornets before thee, which shall driue out the Hiuites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from thy face.

Jag skall sända getingar framföre dig, som skola för dig utjaga de Heveer, Cananeer och Hetheer.

29 I will not cast them out from thy face in one yeere, least the land grow to a wildernes: and the beasts of the field multiplie against thee.

Jag skall icke utdrifva dem på ett år för dig, att landet icke skall öde varda, och vilddjur föröka sig emot dig.

30 By litle and litle I will driue them out from thy face, vntill thou increase, and inherite the lande.

Tågliga skall jag drifva dem ut för dig, intilldess du må växa till, och besitta landet.

31 And I will make thy coastes from the red sea vnto the sea of the Philistims, and from the desert vnto the Riuer: for I will deliuer the inhabitants of the lande into your hande, and thou shalt driue them out from thy face.

Och skall jag sätta ditt landamäre, det röda hafvet, till de Philisteers haf, och ifrån öknene allt intill älfvena; ty jag skall gifva landsens inbyggare i dina hand, att du skall utdrifva dem före dig.

32 Thou shalt make no couenant with them, nor with their gods:

Du skall intet förbund göra med dem; eller med deras gudar;

33 Neither shall they dwell in thy lande, least they make thee sinne against me: for if thou serue their gods, surely it shall be thy destruction.

Utan låt icke bo dem i dino lande, att de icke komma dig till att synda emot mig; förty, om du tjenar deras gudar, kommer det dig till förargelse.
