Exodus 13
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se rằng:
2 Sanctifie vnto me all the first borne: that is, euery one that first openeth the wombe among the children of Israel, as well of man as of beast: for it is mine.
Trong vòng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên bất luận người hay vật, hãy vì ta biệt riêng ra thánh mọi con đầu lòng; bởi con đầu lòng thuộc về ta.
3 Then Moses sayd vnto the people, Remember this day in the which ye came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage: for by a mightie hande the Lord brought you out from thence: therefore no leauened bread shall bee eaten.
Môi-se nói cùng dân sự rằng: Hãy kỷ niệm ngày nầy, vì là ngày Ðức Giê-hô-va dùng tay quyền năng rút các ngươi ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô, tức là khỏi nhà nô lệ; nên chớ ai ăn bánh có men.
4 This day come yee out in the moneth of Abib.
Ngày nay, nhằm tháng lúa trỗ, các ngươi ra đi.
5 Now when the Lord hath brought thee into the land of the Canaanites, and Hittites, and Amorites, and Hiuites, and Iebusites (which he sware vnto thy fathers, that he woulde giue thee, a land flowing with milke and honie) then thou shalt keepe this seruice in this moneth.
Vậy khi nào Ðức Giê-hô-va đưa ngươi vào bờ cõi xứ dân Ca-na-an, dân Hê-tít, dân A-mô-rít, dân Hê-vít, và dân Giê-bu-sít rồi, là một xứ đượm sữa và mật, và là xứ Ngài đã thề cùng tổ phụ sẽ ban cho ngươi, thì đến trong tháng nầy hãy giữ lễ thánh đó.
6 Seuen dayes shalt thou eate vnleauened bread, and the seuenth day shall be the feast of the Lord.
Trong bảy ngày hãy ăn bánh không men; đến ngày thứ bảy sẽ có lễ kính Ðức Giê-hô-va.
7 Vnleauened bread shall bee eaten seuen dayes, and there shall no leauened bread be seene with thee, nor yet leauen be seene with thee in all thy quarters.
Phải ăn bánh không men trong bảy ngày; khắp cả địa hạt ngươi sẽ không thấy bánh có men, hoặc men tại nơi ngươi nữa.
8 And thou shalt shew thy sonne in that day, saying, This is done, because of that which the Lord did vnto me, when I came out of Egypt.
Trong ngày đó hãy giải nghĩa cho con trai ngươi rằng: Ấy vì việc Ðức Giê-hô-va làm cho ta, khi ta ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô.
9 And it shalbe a signe vnto thee vpon thine hande, and for a remembrance betweene thine eyes, that the Lawe of the Lord may be in thy mouth: for by a strong hand the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.
Ðiều đó sẽ làm một dấu hiệu nơi tay ngươi, làm một kỷ niệm ghi nơi trán ở giữa cặp mắt ngươi, hầu cho luật pháp của Ðức Giê-hô-va ở nơi miệng ngươi, vì Ðức Giê-hô-va đã dùng tay quyền năng rút ngươi ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô.
10 Keepe therefore this ordinance in his season appoynted from yeere to yeere.
Hằng năm, đến kỳ, ngươi phải giữ lễ nầy.
11 And when the Lord shall bring thee into the lande of the Canaanites, as hee sware vnto thee and to thy fathers, and shall giue it thee,
Khi Ðức Giê-hô-va đã đưa ngươi vào bờ cõi xứ Ca-na-an, như Ngài đã thề cùng ngươi, và tổ phụ ngươi, khi Ngài đã ban xứ đó cho rồi,
12 Then thou shalt set apart vnto the Lord all that first openeth the wombe: also euery thing that first doeth open the wombe, and commeth forth of thy beast: the males shalbe the Lordes.
thì hãy đem dâng cho Ðức Giê-hô-va những con trưởng nam cùng cả con đầu lòng đực của súc vật ngươi, vì chúng nó đều sẽ thuộc về ÐṀ©c Giê-hô-va.
13 But euery first foale of an asse, thou shalt redeeme with a lambe: and if thou redeeme him not, then thou shalt breake his necke: likewise all the first borne of man among thy sonnes shalt thou bye out.
Nhưng mỗi con lừa đầu lòng, ngươi phải bắt chiên con hay là dê con mà chuộc; bằng không, ngươi hãy vặn cổ nó. Ngươi cũng chuộc mọi trưởng nam trong vòng con trai ngươi.
14 And when thy sonne shall aske thee to morowe, saying, What is this? thou shalt then say vnto him, With a mightie hande the Lord brought vs out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Vả, một mai con trai ngươi hỏi rằng: Ðiều đó có ý nghĩa chi? thì hãy đáp rằng: Ấy vì cớ Ðức Giê-hô-va đã dùng tay quyền năng rút chúng ta ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô, tức là nhà nô lệ;
15 For when Pharaoh was harde hearted against our departing, the Lord then slewe all the first borne in the lande of Egypt: from the first borne of man euen to the first borne of beast: therefore I sacrifice vnto the Lord all the males that first open the wombe, but all the first borne of my sonnes I redeeme.
và khi Pha-ra-ôn cứng lòng không tha chúng ta đi, Ngài bèn giết hết các con đầu lòng trong xứ đó, từ con trưởng nam người ta cho đến con đầu lòng súc vật. Vì cớ đó, ta dâng tế lễ cho Ðức Giê-hô-va mọi con đực sanh đầu lòng, và ta chuộc con trưởng nam trong vòng con trai ta.
16 And it shalbe as a token vpon thine hand, and as frontlets betweene thine eyes, that the Lord brought vs out of Egypt by a mightie hande.
Ấy sẽ làm một dấu hiệu nơi tay ngươi, và ấn chí nơi trán giữa cặp mắt ngươi, để nhắc cho nhớ rằng Ðức Giê-hô-va đã dùng tay quyền năng rút chúng ta ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô.
17 Nowe when Pharaoh had let the people go, God caried them not by the way of the Philistims countrey, though it were neerer: (for God sayd, Lest the people repent whe they see warre, and turne againe to Egypt)
Vả, khi Pha-ra-ôn tha dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đi, Ðức Chúa Trời không dẫn dân ấy đi theo đường về xứ Phi-li-tin, là đường gần hơn hết, vì Ngài nói rằng: E khi dân thấy trận mạc, dời lòng trở về xứ Ê-díp-tô chăng.
18 But God made the people to go about by the way of the wildernesse of the red sea: and the children of Israel went vp armed out of the land of Egypt.
Cho nên Ðức Chúa Trời dẫn chúng đi vòng theo đường trong đồng vắng, về hướng Biển-dỏ. Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên cầm khí giới ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô.
19 (And Moses tooke the bones of Ioseph with him: for he had made the children of Israel sweare, saying, God will surely visite you, and ye shall take my bones away hence with you)
Môi-se dời hài cốt Giô-sép theo mình, vì Giô-sép có bắt dân Y-sơ-ra-ên thề quyết rằng: Chắc Ðức Chúa Trời sẽ viếng các ngươi; hãy dời hài cốt ta theo các ngươi khỏi đây.
20 So they tooke their iourney from Succoth, and camped in Etham in the edge of the wildernesse.
Vả, chúng đi khỏi Su-cốt, đóng trại tại Ê-tam, ở cuối đầu đồng vắng.
21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloude to leade them the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to giue them light, that they might go both by day and by night.
Ðức Giê-hô-va đi trước dân sự, ban ngày ở trong một trụ mây, để dẫn đường đi; ban đêm trong một trụ lửa, để soi sáng cho chúng, hầu cho được đi luôn ngày và đêm.
22 He tooke not away the pillar of ye cloude by day, nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people.
Ban ngày trụ mây chẳng bao giờ cách xa dân sự, trụ lửa ban đêm cũng vậy.
