Ephesians 4
1 I therefore, being prisoner in the Lord, praie you that yee walke worthie of the vocation whereunto yee are called,
Yo pues, prisionero en el Señor, les ruego que anden como es digno de la vocación a que han sido llamados,
2 With all humblenesse of minde, and meekenesse, with long suffering, supporting one an other through loue,
Con todo el comportamiento suave y tranquilo, tomando lo que venga con paciencia en amor;
3 Endeuouring to keepe the vnitie of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Teniendo cuidado de mantener la armonía del Espíritu en el yugo de la paz.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, euen as yee are called in one hope of your vocation.
Hay un solo cuerpo y un solo Espíritu, como fueron también llamados en una misma esperanza de su propósito para ustedes;
5 There is one Lord, one Faith, one Baptisme,
Un Señor, una fe, un bautismo,
6 One God and Father of all, which is aboue all, and through all, and in you all.
Un Dios y Padre de todos, que es sobre todos, y por todos, y en todos.
7 But vnto euery one of vs is giuen grace, according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Pero a cada uno de nosotros se nos ha dado la gracia en la medida que Cristo nos ha querido dar.
8 Wherfore he saith, Whe he asceded vp on hie, he led captiuity captiue, and gaue gifts vnto men.
Por esta razón él dice: Subió a lo alto, llevando cautiva la cautividad, y dio dones a los hombres.
9 (Nowe, in that hee ascended, what is it but that he had also descended first into the lowest partes of the earth?
(Ahora bien, Él subió, ¿qué es sino que descendió primero a las partes más bajas de la tierra?
10 Hee that descended, is euen the same that ascended, farre aboue all heauens, that hee might fill all things)
El que descendió es el mismo que subió lejos sobre todos los cielos para poder completar todas las cosas).
11 Hee therefore gaue some to be Apostles, and some Prophets, and some Euangelists, and some Pastours, and Teachers,
Y dio a algunos como apóstoles, y algunos, profetas; y algunos, evangelistas; y pastores y enseñar;
12 For the repairing of the Saintes, for the woorke of the ministerie, and for the edification of the bodie of Christ,
Para el entrenamiento de los santos como siervos en la iglesia, para la edificación del cuerpo de Cristo:
13 Till we all meete together (in the vnitie of faith and that acknowledging of the Sonne of God) vnto a perfite man, and vnto the measure of the age of the fulnesse of Christ,
Hasta que todos lleguemos a la armonía de la fe, y del conocimiento del Hijo de Dios, de ese modo alcanzaremos la madurez y el desarrollo que corresponde, a la medida completa de Cristo:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, wauering and caried about with euery winde of doctrine, by the deceit of men, and with craftines, whereby they lay in wait to deceiue.
Para que ya no seamos niños, enviados de aquí para allá, trastornados por todo viento de enseñanza, por las torceduras y artimañas de los hombres, por los engaños del error;
15 But let vs folowe the truth in loue, and in all things, grow vp into him, which is the head, that is, Christ.
Pero hablando la verdad en amor, debemos crecer plenamente en Cristo, que es la cabeza;
16 By whome al the body being coupled and knit together by euery ioynt, for ye furniture therof (according to the effectual power, which is in the measure of euery part) receiueth increase of the body, vnto the edifying of itselfe in loue.
Por medio del cual todo el cuerpo, estando correctamente formado y unido, por el pleno funcionamiento de cada parte, se incrementa a la edificación de sí mismo en el amor.
17 This I say therefore and testifie in the Lord, that yee hencefoorth walke not as other Gentiles walke, in vanitie of their minde,
Esto digo, pues, y testifico en el Señor que ya no sigan en el camino de los gentiles, que andan en la vanidad de sus mentes,
18 Hauing their vnderstanding darkened, and being strangers from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardnesse of their heart:
Cuyos pensamientos son oscuros, ajenos a la vida de la vida de Dios, por la ignorancia que está en ellos, y sus corazones se han endurecido;
19 Which being past feeling, haue giuen themselues vnto wantonnesse, to woorke all vncleannesse, euen with griedinesse.
Quienes perdieron toda sensibilidad, se han entregado a malas pasiones, a hacer todas las cosas inmundas con avidez toda clase de impureza.
20 But yee haue not so learned Christ,
Porque esta no era la enseñanza de Cristo que les fue dada;
21 If so be yee haue heard him, and haue bene taught by him, as the trueth is in Iesus,
Si, de hecho, le escuchaste, y recibiste enseñanza en él, así como lo que es verdad está en Jesús:
22 That is, that yee cast off, concerning the conuersation in time past, that olde man, which is corrupt through the deceiueable lustes,
En cuanto, en relación con su forma de vida anterior, desháganse de su vieja naturaleza, que está corrompida, engañada por sus malos deseos.
23 And be renued in the spirit of your minde,
Y Sean renovado en el espíritu y en su mente,
24 And put on ye new man, which after God is created vnto righteousnes, and true holines.
Y vístanse del nuevo hombre, a quien Dios dio la vida, en justicia y en un modo de vivir verdadero y santo.
25 Wherefore cast off lying, and speake euery man truth vnto his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Y así, dejando a un lado la mentira, que todos digan lo que es verdadero para su prójimo: porque somos parte uno de otro.
26 Bee angrie, but sinne not: let not the sunne goe downe vpon your wrath,
Enojense pero no pequen; y procuren que él enojo no les dure todo el día, no se ponga el sol sobre su enojo;
27 Neither giue place to the deuill.
Y no cedas el paso al Malvado.
28 Let him that stole, steale no more: but let him rather labour, and worke with his handes the thing which is good, that hee may haue to giue vnto him that needeth.
Él que robaba ya no robe, sino que haga buenas obras con sus manos, para que tenga algo que dar al que tiene necesidad.
29 Let no corrupt comunication proceed out of your mouths: but that which is good, to ye vse of edifying, that it may minister grace vnto the hearers.
Ninguna palabra corrompida salga de su boca, sino solo lo que es bueno para la edificación necesaria, y para bendición a los que escuchan.
30 And grieue not the holy Spirit of God, by whom ye are sealed vnto ye day of redemption.
Y no contristan al Espíritu Santo de Dios, por el cual fuiste sellados para distinguirlos como propiedad en el día de redención.
31 Let all bitternesse, and anger, and wrath, crying, and euill speaking be put away from you, with all maliciousnesse.
Que toda amargura, pasiones y enojo, gritería, y malas palabras, sean quitados de ustedes, con todos los actos desagradables;
32 Be ye courteous one to another, and tender hearted, freely forgiuing one another, euen as God for Christes sake, freely forgaue you.
Y sean amables unos a otros, llenos de piedad, teniendo perdón los unos por los otros, así como Dios en Cristo tuvo perdón por ustedes.
